The last thread was closed because HUGE threads like that take large amounts of server resources. Therefore, please continue the game here. Or don't, because that would mean I win...

I've just been way to worn out from everything. But surviving.
Hope your stomach settles down.

Winning for the UK....Well the North East anyway.:uk_flag:

I would just like to say that I'm upset the USA and NZ were given an unfair advantage, after all the work I've put in on this thread :pillowfight:

During his time in the British Army, actor Michael Caine had to shake leaves from trees
so none would fall on Princess Margaret when she later passed by..........No wonder they don't know how the "other half" live, and we are bonkers for allowing it to happen.

Winning

Nice to see you K.,........I'm sending the sleep Genie your way.:ybatty::ybatty:

Sleep genie still travelling to NZ, I'm sure it will get here just as dawn breaks or after hubby goes to golf :)

   We are just waiting for a huge wind storm to hit that is supposed to be comparable to one in 2011 that caused thousands of dollars worth of damage to house and vehicle (millions of dollars county wide). We will win if we have no damage this time. ..

I know those tantrums well as an early childhood teacher [emoji3]

Breezes softly..soothe thy sleeping...slumber gently Kirstie...
And I will sing you a lullaby
Madhu..how's the holiday...and the weather?
Sandy ...looks as if you might be feeling a little better
Carol ...Good to see you are in fine form verbally...
Winning.....

Ah ha , found you guys, was a bit sneaky starting a new thread while i slept.

Hey Trysha, it's so good to be at home with family :) weather is very hot. But I'm having fun. Hubby is coming here only next week, that could also be the reason[emoji14]
Be safe Sandy and Doug!

:ghug:

Cold and damp weekend.Did the gloss painting in the bathroom, wallpaper when we can be bothered.Les is out the back cutting down a Rowan tree.We feel a wee bit sad about it as we brought it,as a tiny sapling, from a holiday in Scotland many years ago.For some reason, known only to itself,it hasn't even budded this year.

Winning sentimentaly

I had to look up what a Rowan tree was, we know them around here as Ash trees. We have a variety in our backyard that is perhaps my favorite tree in our yard. I'm sorry yours is no more, especially when raised from a sapling. :(

I'm sure they're called Mountain Ash here too. There is one growing from a crack in a large boulder,by the roadside on the approach to Glen Coe in Scotland. It's survived there for more than 35yrs that I know of.I always said hello and goodbye when we visited the area.Watching the TOUR DE YORKSHIRE cycle race on TV.getting some tips hahaha

I tried to be patient and wait for others to post, but I guess you all have finally realized there is no hope (and you've had long enough Carol.) Rest assured all, the winner is here.:medal1:

12 hrs Sandy. You can go and get something to eat and some shut-eye now.

Off to the shops until the rain stops, then maybe a bike ride later.

Winning.

Did you know that the inventor of the door knocker won the nobel prize ? Geddit ???

Winning deservedly

Winning with a smaller (relatively) migraine. I figured out the seizure I had the other day was because the ER gave me an Rx for an anti-nausea med which I took. One of the known side-effects of it (Zofran) is seizures, which of course I have a propensity for. ~sigh~
On other subjects, Doug took some time off work to help with clean up in the neighborhood after the wind storm. Several of the men from our church and neighborhood got together to help with those that needed it (cutting up tree limbs and trees, hauling to disposal site, etc.). We have a good neighborhood with a good sense of community. Below are examples of damage done to a couple neighbors in our direct vicinity (people we know within a quarter mile). As said previously, we were lucky this time.

storms...such is Nature's wrath
Feel better soon Sandy
We really have to watch the Meds that cause us serious reactions...don't depend on anyone else to do this...
Been there..done that...
Such lovely sunshine after the fog and rain all weekend.
Started an intensive physiotherapy programme today designed for patients who had long stay in hospital ...have to wait a long time for a place but looks as if it will be worth it
The staff are really dedicated and it's one on one with the physiotherapist.its all day every day for four weeks...I feel dead after the first day and that was only introductory.
I managed the transatlantic run much better....ha ha
They provide transport to and from home.
The whole programme which includes lunch and snacks is free...a government programme.
Don't know yet how I will survive...
Rowan trees are very sensitive to air pollution Carol and you are correct with its botanical name Mountain Ash.
Wish I still had my bicycle and could compete with your exploits.
Winning...........

Trysha I really hope you get something positive from the next few weeks. You're bound to be tired at first, but when it stops being tiring,it's working. The added bonus is transport and food.Excellent.!!!
Sandy, glad you're weather scare has passed.Hope that's the last of it.
Kirsty, happy to here you got to sleep at last, sweetheart, hope you're asleep now ?
Mandy, have you recovered from your removal job ?

Have been on the bike today.Trees swaying in their fresh new leaves, bluebells nodding in the grass, cherry blossom fluttering down to earth like confetti, bird song,to make your heart swell...........knees screaming out in pain, and rear-end feeling like I'd been sitting on razor blades,oh deep joy !!! hahaha

Hi all just a quick one. Im bloody knackered from the removal job Carol. Migjt need a week to recover. Lol
Sandy glad you got through storm ok.
Trysha hope the physio works wonders for you .
Kirsty hope the sleep fairy visits when you need her.
To all a good night /day and much love n bug hugs 💕💕

Get some rest Mandy. Same with you between your physio appointments Trysha. I hope it does you a world of good though. Carol, I'm very impressed with your bike riding. There is nothing like seeing the world from a bike but oh, I sure remember my bike riding days and the razor blade I felt like I was sitting on also.
I think I will go outside in my backyard after a few chores and enjoy my mountain ash and cherry tree. It is a beautiful day here.
Everyone stay in one piece. (Kirsty, how are you getting along?)

Thanks for the wishes, I have been sleeping better. Still waking up with high blood sugars around 10-11, and waking up tired. I have30 minute apt with you doc on Thursday and I have written him a letter which tells him how I am and what I need him to do about it. Ill see Ma and pa on Thursday too, and do some. Scrap booking with mum. Glad the winds past Sandy, sorry to see the damage.

I wondered why I was not seeing posts on 2.0. Somehow my settings got changed. Winning again.

Off to an outdoor car-boot sale in a country village (For the USA gang, they don't sell car boots,it's miscellanies stuff sold on tables beside their cars) It's the first one of the season so might bag some bargains.Taking a pic-nic as it's a lovely day.

Winning and will be winning again later,so Doug, don't worry about missing out,it's not worth it,Think of your health.

:uk_flag::sheep::sheep::sheep: Well,I can't have that I'm afraid........I said earlier I'd be back for another win,and here I am...:smile:

:dusty::dusty::dusty:Sorry Carol. I'll take that win now.:dusty::dusty::dusty:

You had it long enough Doug...now it's mine...All Mine....
Another tiring day at rehab.
Flunked the balance assessment...well I think most would...you have to stand on a piece of foam about 2-3 ft thick....and there is nothing to hold on to!!
Thought i would pass out...felt like it..but they caught me and stopped the tests altogether
I soon recovered with a glass of water and a rest.
Tests resume on Friday..
Lunch was good.... Toasted cheese sandwich. And salad. all vegetarian which I prefer..
They don't know how to make tea though so I stick with water mainly...or juice.
A friend drove me to the lakeside after the sessions finished...lovely blue sky and chilly temps.
Very refreshing...
Saturday was a bad day...woke up with severe vertigo...saw my GP yesterday and he insists on MRI brain scan and referral to an ENT specialist.,plus abdominal X-rays because of some pain which he elicited by pushing in on my abdomen....some things we can never get rid of..thought things were in remission and still hope that's the case.Never give up..never give in.
Talk about the middle and both ends ...could do with shoring up....but I am feeling good today
Kirstie I do wish you could be better sooner but you sound upbeat and that's a good thing...
Carol..wish I could come to the car boot sale...sounds great fun..
Sandy...you sound a bit better
Now to get on with
Winning.......

Dermatologist told me I have something similar to psorasis on my face. Winning. :)

Hi all had a rough day yesterday had to come home from work. Felt faint and weak. Think no rest over my weekend off had done me in. Slept most of afternoon, ate, bathed and went back to sleep.

Went to the dermatologist today. She says I have something similar to psorasis on my face.

Hi everyone. Seeing lot of posts about you all being sick. Stay well guys. Sending hugs your way.

Sorry that most of you are feeling so grotty,my LOWs friends.
I wish you could all feel as well as I do lately.(I typed that with my fingers crossed so as not to tempt fate.)
Please feel better soon, all of you. x :ghug::rosette2:

Carol I think I am on the mend, but it could be a longer haul. Getting this Flare under control is important. They put me on budesonide for the flare. I am convinced the flare would be worse if not for Humira.

Feeling better today...things are looking up....
Mandy....feel better soon
Kirsty...you also
Carol...send those positive vibes our way please
Must inhale this lovely sunny day now....off for a walk in the fresh air
Winning.....

Hi, had a good appointment with my doc. We worked my way through the letter I wrote him. He will chase up my specialists on my behalf re copper, diabetes, pcos etc. got more wafers for migraines, antibiotics for next infection, exercises for back. A body lotion for skin issues. I handed it all to the universe and I hope it replies soon [emoji849]

Kirsty, I admire the way you handle your multitude of problems. Trysha, I hope things go better for you. I'm glad you got to spend some time outdoors. We hope to Saturday while our former foster son is with us. I find the outdoors rejuvenating.
Madhu, I sure am glad you are enjoying your time back home. Sometimes, there is no place like home. Glad you are relatively well too Carol. Ron, I hope your patch on your face clears up quickly. That sounds miserable. Hope you are feeling better after some rest mammary, I mean Mandy . I know what you mean about doing extra doing you in, that normally happens to me too. The past few days I have been extra busy and for a change I feel better than normal. (Could it be the magnesium I started taking again? Thanks Trysha! ) I feel like it's a miracle!
Shanen, Grumpy, everyone else out there, hope you are well.

Sandy ...thank you for the good wishes...I am pleased to hear you are getting good results
with the magnesium...the neurologist told me a number of people found it helped.
Now for the. Win...
Winning........

Good morning all. I knew the" feeling great" wouldn't last hahaha.Just a minor set back I'm sure.I was going to walk into town, but have decided to let Les run me to the supermarket. It's going to be very warm this weekend, the south might get 25c +,so we will finish decorating the bathroom,to avoid the crowds.Hence the shopping trip.
I hope our Canadian friends and families are not affected by the horrendous fires, please keep safe .

Good morning Ron...hope you are better today
I am just off to rehab...hope they make me full of energy and aplomb...
Winning....

Hi all
Im feeling ok after some rest. Thanks all

Hope things improve for every one and sending my love n best wishes with big hugs. 💕💕

Hanging tough. Or faking it. Best wishes while I creep in for the win.

Hi Shanen, nice to see you.It would be nice to see Grumpy and Dave too.

I slept for 10 and a half hours last night !!! I can't believe it.I used to be an "up and at 'em" girl. All my adult life I've been up between 6-8 am.
I think it's because we're Alfie-less.Having a dog gives you something to get up for.
The long sleep didn't make me feel rejuvenated and refreshed though, just the opposite.
Going to put the alarm on in the morning as must finish redecorating the bathroom.

I miss my lovely dog too Carol..
The wildfires in Alberta are horrendous and our hearts go out to all the beautiful families and people left homeless their properties destroyed by fire.people driving madly down highways to outpace the swirling fires..frightening.
Alberta is thousand of miles from Ontario so the fires won't reach us from there.,although wildfires can also happen here.
It's a nice sunny day but temps a bit cool yet, nice for walking though.
Dropped my iPod touch and broke the glass cracked it...have to get a new one..time for an update anyway but I am attached to it being an original.
Cheers Everyone
Winning.....

Lord bless them all in Alberta. How awful that these things come and destroy so much. Its heartbreaking💔

Love to all 💕💕
Keep as well as you can..

My thoughts have been with the residents of Canada as well. I can't imagine the devastation. 💝

Well you may as well pack it in now,all of you.I have to say the enthusiasm has somewhat waned on this thread.Pull yourselves together and give me some competition !!! Lovely sunny day, washings on line and I'm off for a cycle before my 6monthy check-up at my GPs. Back later to check on you all.David (He who must be obeyed) might close us down permanently, then you'll be sorry.

Morning has broken with lovely sunshine....
Hello Everyone...you are all off to a fine start on a beautiful spring day for some of us
A little respite from the Alberta fires yesterday ...who knows what today will bring
Our hearts go out to all People caught in the chaos of spreading fires...and who are now homeless and robbed of their precious possessions.
Now I'm off to rehab sessions...tiring but rewarding.
Cheers everybody!
Winning.........

Well at least I can rely on Trysha and Ron to thrash.Thankyou for the win guys.

Hope your day goes well Trysha. As Frank Spencer used to say on Some Mothers Do Have 'Em,"Every day I get better and better"......(I mean that as a mantra for you Trysha,as for me,well you can't really improve on perfection):medal1: ;)
