Hi Madhu it's nice to see you around! I wish your husband good health. I'm working inside today because its rainy and soggy outside at the moment, and soggy grass cannot be raked. Oh well, I'll be dry in here anyhow.
Hi Chris!
Hubby thinks he may be developing a fistula. I'm losing my mind, trying to tell him it's probably nothing. I'm starting to get really worried. He has a bit of pain. I don't have anyone else to tell this to [emoji22]
Thanks Chris. He has been feeling tired for a few weeks now but no fever. I'm sick of everything. We can't catch a break [emoji22]I'm so sorry you are having this stress. From experience, pain isn't always the only telltale sign, for me it was terrible fatigue, a pressure like feeling and borderline fever, barely above normal. I really hope things are going to settle down. You have my support, I know how stressful it can be. :ghug:
Hope things turn around, Madhu. Thanks Chris. He has been feeling tired for a few weeks now but no fever. I'm sick of everything. We can't catch a break [emoji22]
Prayers for Lily and you. Alex sends puppy wags to all.I'm here. What did I miss? How is everybody? I'm still doing okay. Busy busy busy with work and life! Lily's going downhill a bit. I think she had another episode of internal bleeding recently. Her gums became pale and she didn't want to eat her lunch. She bounced back from that, but the vet said that she'll likely have more episodes, and that makes me think that the end is not far off now. She doesn't seem to be in pain but she has been limping a bit - the tumor in her right armpit lymph node has gotten bigger which has been causing her to limp at times.
Other than that, life is going well. I still like my new job. I'm working a lot - I even volunteered for overtime last week. My guts are okay for the most part. They got really unhappy for a few days when I tapered my pred from 2 mg to 1.5 mg - guts did not like that at all! But I recovered after a few days. I'm tapering by 0.5 mg once per month, so I think I'm probably going to have a mini-flare each time I taper now that I'm down to such a low dose. I just want to get off of pred already, though.
I'm a bit more active on facebook (particularly with Lily updates and photos of Lily), so if anybody wants to add me on facebook, send me a PM. I'll continue sporadically checking in on here too.
The vet could not feel anything. Thinks he tweeked his hip or knee. How is Alex doing? Is he home yet?
Our little monkey, Meika, had a hairdo the other day. She thinks she is The Queen! I just go along with it.
Sorry about your son's dog, Carol. My son in OZ is probably losing his dog today. She had an eye removed a few months ago
But lost the sight in her other eye on Monday. She's a big girl, cross mastiff boxer.Scott was working away when he got the news and is due home today. He doesn't want to talk to us until he's ready. He gets that from us.We always grieve alone.
Chris, put warm soapy water in your blender and switch on for a few seconds, then rinse.I use a long handled pot brush too as chia seeds sometimes stick. But I expect you were just being a man, doing house stuff as quick as possible so you can get some serious important stuff done in the shed......Going for a run in the country today to pick up a new release book at a book store in a market town. I only have about 50 now,to get through.I really do need help.
Me too, Carol. My wife was asking me this morning for the names of all the books she has mentioned recently that she would love to read. I will spend a long time in the library or a book storeThanks Ron.Only other "dog people" understand how painful it can be when our furry friends are sick and eventually, when we have to say goodbye. When they're pups the good times are stretching ahead, but those times pass far to quickly.......
Got my reserved new release at the book store,I'm so excited.AND I bought two second hand ones at a charity (thrift) shop. That's four this week. It's stopped being funny.I just cannot help myself....I AM AN ADDICT.There you go,I've said it.
Going for a cycle soon. The weathers not brilliant, but I must make the effort.I wonder if Chris or Buff. could make me a book stand for my handle bars ?
Hope you have a better night tonight, BuffordI hope everyone is winning a round. Had a better night this time instead of tossing and turning like the wash for the past 3 nights. I know I'm having issues when I wake up downstairs in the living room chair not remembering climbing out of bed constantly repositioning myself. Then going through the day in a constant fog of fatigue.
That's what I read too. Thanks ChrisI haven't heard of it from anyone I know. I suppose the contrast could cause an issue if you became sensitized from too much exposure to it though. My very best to you both.
Thanks Trysha. His fever broke last night but we are still keeping an eye on him. He had to drink 3 bottles of the barium liquid compared to the 2 he used to drink earlier. Poor thing was miserable. You are all champs for doing this. I hope you ace the test and it shows you in remission. Good luck!Hi Madhu...it is a good idea to check with the doctors about the fever and ro make sure your husband has not picked up an infection through the IV.
Tomorrow I have to have the same procedure and not looking forward to it with undiluted
pleasure.
Hope your husband will soon feel better
Welcome lukesky and Lynda. Yes we are quite lovely. Lol [emoji16]
It tasted good, Doug, but my stomach didn't like itSo sorry Ron. I couldn't live without my orange chicken.
No more orange chicken for me.
I understand Ron.
That's great news, Chris!Things went fine at the doctors today, back to the rest of my life I go. I only complain because the chairs are old and they clearly aren't clean in the least. It doesn't kill me, I just find it disgusting. Anyways, if that was my biggest problem for today, I'm blessed. I hope you all are doing well. It's miller time here!
Sorry, SandyDoug just texted me that he has taken Casper back to the shelter (as planned) while I was at my Weight Watchers meeting. It is for the best as he has snapped at everyone who has been in our home (except me) including Doug and Dave. He is definitely a one-person dog. The good thing is that when he went back to the shelter, according to Doug, he was playing with the dogs up front so he is still dog friendly. Hopefully he can find a good one person home. I feel a little numb right now, I'm sure tears will follow soon.
I have C.D.O...It's like O.C.D but the letters are in alphabetical order....as they're supposed to be.
