Sorry to hear your sad news Sandy but you have done the right thing.
Dogs are never allowed to bite people especially children...and things can escalate so rapidly.
There will be another home for him but he does need training by a dog specialist.
The gadolinium seems to have infiltrated my arm ..it is very swollen and inflamed but cooling off with ice packs.
I can’t stand the thought of an ER visit...and I’m pretty sure they will only do what I have already done.
The acupuncturist stopped all the pain and swelling in my leg following the MRI with contrast.
I’ll see how things go after the weekend.
Our weather is dark and foreboding..very wet and windy...temperature dropping snow in the forecast.
Such a lovely weekend...........?...
Cheers.....
Hope you are better soon, Trysha

I took the sad trip to the no kill animal shelter to take Casper back. It was very difficult, but had to be done. Can't have the biting going on. He bit Oto a couple days ago, that was the last straw. Also, Casper would have accidents in the house while we were not looking. He knew better, just did not want to go outside.

I hope casper gets the right one to one home. He may very well need re training tho. Bless him . Sandy n Doug i know you will be sad to lose him but it is for the best. I would have done the same myself in the circumstances:hug:

Trysha hope you feel better soon hun 💞

Had a lovely sunny day today. Been out for the day with my friend and have had a really nice day.

Rain due back tomorrow for a few days but weds and thurs are threatening to be sunny and 20 odd degrees oh happy days some warmth is on the horizon...just hope they dont move the blinking horizon 😃😃😃

Love to all. 💞💝💝💞

It looks like Spring has sprung here too....

Spring has sprung
The grass is riz
I wonder where da birdies is.

Don't ask where that came from,it's something I've said all my life.Well, since I could talk that is...Off for a peddle before it changes it's mind.

This is the difficult part of acquiring a pet, but once one finds the right animal a bond will be formed. Taking the dog back was the right thing to do, he will find the right home too.

Bufford, love your new avatar:)

Sandy/Doug: Sorry to hear about Casper. He will find his forever family soon, I am sure of it. :hug

Carol : Weather is great here too. Hope your Spring stays sprung and keeps away Jack Frost. :Flower:

Fuzzy Butterfly, love all of your emojis ! You always have such kind words to say.

Chris : Hope your weekend was great. :panda:

Trysha, Wishing you the best of health :)

Madhu : Is your new house finally a "home" now ? :sun:

Ron, I love Orange chicken !

I am back to reading again, I finished reading one book last week. I am going to finish book number two this week. :rosette1:

Orange chicken doesn't love me. Reading Martin Luther by Eric Metaxas

Thanks lynda ☺. Hope you are doing well at the moment 💞

Hope everyone is having a good day/evening. Sending love and big hugs to all. :ghug:

Its my sons 29th birthday today. Where did those years go. Seems like yesterday since he was born. Guess thats short term memory loss for ya!! :rof:

Mandy, the older you get the faster time passes...trust me.
Lynda we've got a "what have you been reading" thread if you want to share.

Speaking of short term memory loss... I get it from muscle relaxers. I'm doing a real awkward job with some of this pruning, I hope I don't need to bust out the flexeril later. Then this would be me...

Patient: Doctor! I have a serious problem. I can never remember what I just said.

Doctor: When did you first notice this problem?

Patient: What problem?

Happy birthday to your son, Mandy [emoji4]

Hey Lynda, yes we are settled in the new place and it finally feels like home [emoji173]

Do you all get a bone density scan often? My husband's new Dr said crohn's patients should get them once in 5 years, so he had his yesterday and the result is he has early thinning (osteopenia). Did not expect that [emoji853]

Carol n Ron. Yep time flies... when your young it flies like a fledgling by our age it flies like piggin concord 😃😃

Oh I'm sorry to hear that Lynda. He has been asked to take calcium and vit d supplements daily too.

had a bone density scan about 4 years and was told i had ostiopenia as well , was told i would be checked again in two years !!!!!! still waiting ,
anyway hope everyone is having a good day today ,
Mandy and Carol have let us have a small taste of the lovely weather the UK are getting and Im sitting in the patio soaking up the vitamin D
Had an appointment with my surgeon today , a rohnd journey of 6 hours on a train starting at 5-30 am ,
it was my last appointment with him as my local surgeon will be able to perform any further surgery from now on .

That's quite a trip, Tony. I'm glad you wont have to go do that again. It's a similar distance for me to see a surgeon. Let's hope we don't need one again for a long, long time...never is fine with me, in a perfect world of course. ;)

I hope everyone is hanging in there... it's almost the weekend... :)

Madhu, I take Vitamin D every day and I also eat calcium rich foods in the hope my bones will stay strong. I don't want to have too much calcium though, or I might get kidney stones. It really is a tricky balance, I'm lucky to have avoided steroids, so far. I hope catching your husbands condition early will give you a better chance of using preventative measures to maintain his bone density.

It's always something with these darn diseases. Good luck to you all. Cheers!

Lovely warm day today. Shame i had to work...i did sit out at my break times and caught a few rays. No im not giving them back. They are mine now!!!😃😃😃

Glad you caught some rays, Mandy. I was in the sun too, up on a ladder pruning. :) I have been pacing myself and doing quite well. I hope you are feeling good too. :)

Chris glad you are doing well. Im doing ok thanks.☺
Seems it going to be about 10 degress cooler n less sunny than yesterday today.
You were choping leaves then while i was painting and re upholstering chairs...least we werent causing trouble 😃😃.💕

Hope all have a good day/evening :ghug:

Happy Friday Crohnie family.......Like it's already been said DON'T OVER DO IT !!!

Let's just be happy we can get out of bed each day.xx

Speaking of short term memory loss, I forgot that crohnies are prone to bone loss.:ywow: (I'm happy to report my bone density test turned out fine.) Doug, ask Dr. Allred to order one for you next time you see him...
We might have some news later today, but need to confirm it first...

I got about 5 bush cords of 'don't over do it' to cut and split starting today and making like a beaver. That saw will be howling like the baby in the row behind you on that long haul flight on most afternoons for weeks to come.

Not a lot of people around today...
We weren't going to do this for awhile, but Doug found a breed of dog that we used to have that was up for adoption, so very familiar with (good family dogs), and are hard to find around here, so we want to introduce you to the newest member of our family, an American Eskimo aka Eskie, meet a very sweet three legged friend, Bentley.

Hi and welcome Bently... so cute awwww🐾🐾💕💕
Hi Sandy hope he is just what you want in a dog. He sure looks great ☺☺💞

Hi Sandy hope he is just what you want in a dog. He sure looks great ☺☺💞

He's already affectionate with both Doug and me. Oto's here today and tho he growled at Oto when he first walked in, he is starting to trust Oto also, has let Oto pet him and took a treat from Oto. He's a very sweet dog. Not a one person dog like Casper.

Lovely little fella Sandy, and he has a smiley face.Casper did have a worried look, bless him.....We were going for a peddle until the rain started,so we went for a supermarket shop.I use the term"we" loosely,as the husband sits in the car with a thermos of coffee. He's only once been in a supermarket with me,about three years ago,and only lasted ten minutes before he scarpered back to the car. What I wanted to say was "who's bright idea was it to supply the shop with kid size trollies with a flag pole on the front ? and worse still, shopping trollies with pedal cars on the front."? I mean, come on folks. The shop was packed and if I wasn't having my eye poked with a flag pole I was being rammed from behind with a peddle car. It's not that I don't like children, but I couldn't eat a whole one.....I'm more like the Rat Catcher on Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Your analogies crack me up Carol! (I hate shopping on weekends also. Not just the unsupervised children, but the whole mass of humanity.) Happy Sunday (or Monday to those down under, etc.) to everyone. 💜
(Kirsty, we really do miss you. 💜💜💜 Hi Trev, I know you're lurking. )

Nice addition to the family Sandy. Pets provide unconditional love. Carol I dislike grocery shopping too, gridlock in the parking lot and in the aisles, and almost getting run down by the test pilots using the courtesy electric wheel chairs. I'm glad when I get home and am greeted by the big orange cat.

Alex has unconditional love. He always goes to the next available room when i go to the bathroom.

I dislike shopping of any kind. When i go food shopping im in n out like a greyhound 😃😃.
Hope your all doing fine. Big hugs n love 💕💞💝

I had every episode of the Flintstones on VHS, now I have them on DVD, god knows how many times I have watched them. The old classic cartoons never get old. Bugs bunny is another, but somebody in the family has borrowed them, or I should say is hoarding them.

Hey is there any mod out there who can check out why i cant see photos ?

Its my own fault I think as I asked not to be able to see photos a while ago (didnt want to see photos of my dog Joey who passed on) so if any user/mod can help it would be appreciated.

Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing well. I'm going to get my bicycle out today and tune it up.🔧 The forge has become a half finished project, hopefully this coming weekend I'll get the fan housing and stand done. Cheers!

Nice to see you, Tony. :)

Hope you get the photo bit sorted tony. Hope your doing ok.
Chris you have always got some project on the go. Good on ya fella. Keeping busy is good for the soul ☺
I also love the old cartoons. Some of which they have updated now n they look wrong to me. Give me the oringinals every time ☺

Love to all. Wishing you all well 💝💞:ghug:

I hope you get your photos sorted out soon also Tony, I have to admit it is partially so I can show off our new pretty boy, Bentley. I'm sorry that it hurt to look at pictures of Joey, tho. 🙁 Losing a good friend can really, really hurt.
Glad your forge is coming along, Chris.
We're going camping/fishing for a few days in southern Utah again tomorrow, hope Bentley does ok with his three legs and a tummy that seems a little queasy right now. (His surgery was only a couple weeks ago.) It's amazing how well he can run around as a tripod though!
Trysha, I know you're following the posts, when you are up to it, let us know how you're doing, dear.
Hugs to all! We are sure blessed to have this great group of friends.

Thankful for all the wonderful friends here. :ghug: It's finally nice enough to take our camper out of winter storage. First trip of the season is this weekend.:yoshijumpjoy: Can't wait to get out and soak up some sunshine after the long winter.

Hope you have great trips Sandy Doug and Shanen. ☺💞
Im also thankful for the good friends here and all their support and kindness are very much appreciated.:ghug:💝

Good day Crohnie family.......Have as good a weekend as you can.:ghug:

Trysha,Kirsty,Trev,Dave I / We hope you're all doing OK.:ghug:

Chris,do you sleep longer in the morning when you have a late night ?

I know I do.But since being on Amitriptilyne I usually sleep for at least nine hours no matter what time I go to bed.

Hope everyone is going to have a good weekend.

Chris, late nights are my thing, mornings not so much. The only time I recall being an early bird was when I was a kid. I've always been an owl, and worked a lot of evenings and night shifts through until retirement.

Yep! I sometimes sleep in. I tend to be awake later during spring and summer too. I hope everyone is having a good Saturday. :)

Well okay, I guess I'll post again to get the room moving... ;) I have been having a great time out in the back yard today, working away at a good pace. All the trees will soon have new leaves and that's good.

All good down here, the weather has just turned crap, high winds and flooding, looking good for Wednesday.

cant see embedded photos but heres some of Alfie , the craziest puppy ever
Doing well apart from some arthritis but I can live with that , hope everyone here is doing well and hope the weather your way is improving , slight improvements here but still way to cold ,my wife went for her first swim of the year yesterday and so did Alfie ,I went for a paddle up to my knees , have to get the wet suit out if I go in any deeper as the harbour water is cold .

Nice looking dog Tony, Alfie will provide a life time of unconditional love. Chris, this room might not have moved, but I surprised myself with how much firewood moved yesterday afternoon.

Today we bought camping gear for our son and grandson's visit from Australia. (16th May) Some bits to get but we have the important stuff. They're going to Scotland for 4-5 days with my hubby,of course. So you're all invited to mine for a paaaaaartyyy.B.Y.O.

Tony, Alfie is indeed handsome. Carol, I always love a good party! I'll bring some food...
Camping just not for you any more? If so I understand as we got back the day before yesterday and still haven't unpacked for lack of energy. (Need to get going.) Had a good time tho. Doug caught a couple bass and I caught a good time on the water one day, and a good rest the other day with Bentley. I don't know why some can see his pictures when others can't. I'll see if I can figure out Google photos as Tony does for next photos (I'm just afraid of accidentally sharing all photos with public.) Bentley is a much better traveler than Casper and did pretty well also.
Happy Sunday, Monday all!

Aw bless Alfie he has grown!!🐾
Sandy glad Bently travelled well and had a good time🐾 . Glad some fish got caught not much worse than an empty net.
Carol how lovely your boys are coming over. Shame you will miss out on the camping trip. Though i totaly get not camping it would drive me potty. Well more potty 😃haha. Cant wait for the party though :dusty:

Love to all 💞💝

I had to give up on the canoe and tent routine for the cabin long ago. One thing about camping, one can go to places of beauty and wonder that are not otherwise possible. Carol I hope your gallant crew have a good trip.

Wow ive been on here 8 years in a couple of days, although i dont say much, i keep an eye on whats happening, i got a bit concerned a while ago when i was googling something and found my posts were public, i had assumed this site was private, thats why i removed my pic and changed where i live. The brainfade gets bad and i cant think of anything to say, and i dont want to be here complaining about my health, i do have some positive news, not sure if i told you, i had a kidney removed a couple of years ago due to cancer, and the remaining one started to fail, i was parinoid about having dialisis, my kidney has improved enough to keep me going, due to a major diet change.

Hi Trev. Glad the treatment is working and hope for continued improvement ☺💕. Nice to see you pop in here. All the best to you 💕

Trev.I'm really happy for you my friend. It must be a huge relief for you and your loved ones.Nice to see you.Have you heard anything from Kirsty BTW ?
Sandy.Glad you had a good time and that Bentley is settling in well. It's a battle when they don't travel well and spoils a good trip somewhat.Alfie was a brilliant traveller.Sometimes we had to check the back of the car in case we had left him somewhere. One of our GSDs used to "Sing" all the way to Scotland and it wasn't the Bonnie Bonnie Banks Of Loch Lomond either.....Happy days.
