Wow! New looneys! This is great! Michael and Jamie, welcome to the looney bin. All I can say is HOLD ON! It can be a wild ride at times. Teresa, you're not even new anymore. Trysha always stays up late, and you're all invited to move to Utah, or if that doesn't work, at least a Christmas Eve party here. I'm starting to think we might have to rent a room at a ski lodge, and a separate one for Robert and his cigars. Families are invited, but you have to bring your own booze and keep them hidden from the kiddies, especially my special needs foster kids. If you don't do that, I will subject you to the same treatment I give them, and you wouldn't like it. I also adopted one family member from the forum because she can cook, thanks Kirsty. I grew up in a large family, so I can handle the chaos for a short while, then I will kick you all out, or I will go home.

Lots of hugs to Robert. I'm still waiting for that shock button.

Hi Sandy
I am one ofa family of twelve and have lots of experience with cooking, housekeeping baby and child care etc.
Can I come?
I am a non smoker, non drinker computer addict!

You know, it did cool down, last week and this both, we've only had a day each week that was 100 or above. It's been beautiful and cooler....still in the drought, but glad for the cool.

Of course you can come Trysha. Anyone can come from the looney bin. Especially all the normal ones. ( And others.) Also newbies.

No help needed, if you don't want to (including Kirsty). I may just hire caterers.

Well, nobody would respond. I was too tired to do anything else, so I resorted to talking to myself.

My win now! Just watched "Knowing". Anyone see it? Wow. Weird movie, but the solar flare part could happen anytime. Hugs to you Sandy and others, Trysh, Michael. Hope you all have a great night and I win... Teresa:rof:
Ps Trev and Doug too and David.

Haven't watched "Knowing," but I know it is only 9:30 pm here, and I'm too tired to do anything else, but not sleepy at all. It could be a long night. Hope you are well too. And everyone. (Including Robert.)

Just replaced the wheel bearings on my daughters car tonight, so I WIN because I saved about $400.00 in labor charges. Each wheel bearing was $50.00

Great job Michael! My son is a mechanic and did mine for me. It's great having someone who can work on cars. Too bad you have to, but you
are saving a fortune, you're right!

Sandy, Hope you get some good sleep tonight being that you are soo tired!
You can win another night-OK? i'll try to get it tonight unless those United Kingdom people come on and steal it again.

I call my garage outside You Tube Automotive. I have literally saved about 3,000 over the past 3 years working on my kids cars. Others laugh at me but I take my laptop to the garage and type in my repair on You Tube. 95% of the time, some bored person has recorded a video on how to fix something. I watch it, rewind and then frame advance while I am repairing the cars. I have done struts, stabilizer bars, sway bars, gas tank, gas lines, tie rods, wheel bearings, ball joints, etc. I seriously don't know how people can afford to pay for those repairs if their kids have older cars.

Hey, that's the truth!!! My sister who is 54 does all her own brakes, exhaust, oil changes, she even made her own rocker panels out of siding and they look better than the original ever did. She amazes me how she can do that. She is practically crippled too from having huge ulcers on both feet for 14 yrs. They are finally healing, but now she needs surgery to correct the way she walks, her ankles buckle out and her achilles tendons need cut. She has not walked flat to the floor in all that time. Had to wear special block heeled shoes. She is a wonderful girl I admire her courage and strength so much! Sorry to ramble on!:ybatty:

If you were closer, I would work on everyone s car for them. I like to save money! I don't know your sister but I admire her now for doing that. Brakes are easy if they are disc, I hate doing drum brakes. No problem rambling, I do it too. We all have to stick together.

Thanx Michael, very nice of you!!! I am definately too far away, but my hubster tries to keep up with repairs via the local garage. He is not one to work on cars. His job takes everything out of him and has had it by the time he gets home. Ya know?:confused2:

Guess everyone's getting tired... me too, but not ready to give it up just yet. Maybe playa game online then come back and win! Could it be possible???

Yay! Michael saw!
(I guess not. That didn't make sense with a post of mine that is missing.)

Yep you won for a while. I am winning now. I get to shoot myself on Monday with humira

Hi Aura,
Have you ever used humira before? My friend has been on it for 8 months and has been in remission the whole time for the first time in her life. She only has 6 inches of large intestine left!! Poor girl.
So what are you up to today? Do you work? Teresa

Michael,
Just checked out some articles on your" kick it for crohn's" page. That first article about Ryan was so touching! I am not doing facebook or I would read the rest. They want me to login. But, great page thus far. Great idea!
P.S. Meg is absolutely beautiful!!!

Teresa, your back! My stinking' cell phone does weird things all the time! Eats posts, posts in wrong places, etc. Not gone to sleep yet, but I just took a sleeping pill. Well, actually anti anxiety/anti-seizure pill. I can sleep all day and all night because I take so many #$>#%5= pills. I am going to sleep this time, but if I wake up in the middle of the night, I'll try to keep (most) of those foreigners in their respective lands. Well, okay, some of them. Maybe just a few. Okay, I'll try to keep the Americans winning. And maybe a northern North American, or Canadian. Okay, I like all the looneys, but I'll keep"us" winning.

Hi to Kirsty from me too.

Hi to Kirsty from me too.

OK Sandy, hope you sleep well! Talk to you tomorrow with a better day for us all!:kiss:Nighty Night!

Can't sleep, so I thought I would give all of you in foreign lands to the U.S. the chance to say good night from our world family. For being so diplomatic, I deserve the win.

:award2:

Trev, what did you do to NatureLover? She is missing.

You don't want me to spell it out.

But true. THAT wasn't very diplomatic.

I still want you to come to my party. Are you? Are you? Are you? I would let you buy snowmobiles and such while you are here. Just don't ask me how you would get them back home.

As the night shift pack their things away and retire the A Team are back.

First day of the football season today - looks like 30c plus bbq planned for later plus cigars to smoke. I almost feel like being nice to people today......almost.

I am going to tell you anyway - it was a great day. Old Leigh - Leigh on Sea is my favourite place - when I grew up there in the 1960's it was still a working fishing village. It is along the Thames estuary about 30 miles from London. It is at the bottom of a steep hill - years ago you would never go there unless you lived or worked there - my father was a fisherman and my family history goes back around 500 years in Leigh - it was a tough but really good life.

It has all changed now - become an incredibly trendy place to live and very expensive. Strict planning regulations have kept things true to the past although there is now a real buzz with so much going on.

The tide was up yesterday and with the sun hitting the water it all looked like a slice of heaven.

Trysha's sister used to live there as well!

P.s. If you log on to "whats the weather like" you will find an admission from Robert that he's in the crazy gang.He meant Loony of course, but nice of him to include himself eh.

I am quite speechless how you have twisted my words - shocking !

Robert, it looked like a postcard and was really one of the prettiest places I have ever seen (even by picture.) I hope it was okay to use the word "prettiest" with you. Slice of heaven was probably more accurate. I'm glad you got to spend time there. We all have our "slices of heaven" in our lives, and I'm glad you shared one of yours.

In for a win,

I am off work for the meantime due to my current flare. I am trained in judo (nah just kidding - trained in early childhood) I have been working with teachers for the last 12 years training them to teach. Now working on a website for professional development.

The Humira has been great - I am in remission. For this first time in ages my finger nails are growing and I can paint them in my lovely OPI colours - which is awesome. I'm just buggered all the time, totally stuffed, shattered and exhausted. But I am happy that I am not in pain any more and the my blood work is doing good for once.

After Sandy's party I will have one here - as by then I should be off the prednisone and be my normal nice self:ybiggrin: :rosette1:

Yes football is starting and cricket is still going!

THanks for the win and sorry for the novel

Judo? Well you can be the bouncer (doorperson) at Sandy's party - to keep out the undesirables and riff raff - so that will just leave me at the party then

Did you see me at the olympics?? I wasn't there - cos I was just kidding about the judo - not kidding about the early childhood training. I am great with kids that I get to hand back at the end of the day.

Well, like I said yesterday I'm gonna have to do the nightshift or ignore all the posts from the aliens.Which is impossible, because I don't want to miss anything.Dilema !!! Anyway THE CHAMPS back for a win (not you Robert)

Well, there maybe an hour or two before my Lamb Korma take away and the new X-Factor,but just in case I'll relieve you of the burdon for now.

So who won overnight? I went to bed after 2 and now have whopping headache. Good day to ya all! I need a win so I can get some sleep!!!:frown:

:ybiggrin:I'm back Sandy! I invited a newbie to this site but I don't know if she'll stop over or not. Can't think of her name now as I didn't get enough shut eye last night. Gee, I wonder why. Hope you and the dougster are having a great day. Whatcha doin? My hubster had to work installing furniture at a company not far from here, so he is napping now. He is going to a bonfire at his brother's tonight. I don't want to go as I cannot drink and do not want to anyway. Last time I got bit up so bad and didn't really have a great time. If it were a daytime cookout, by all means I'd go. I have to be a greeter at church tomorrow too and have to get up earlier than usual. I am not a morning person. Anyway. Hope to hear from you soon.
PS. I'm winning!!!

:ybiggrin:I'm back Sandy! ... Hope to hear from you soon.
PS. I'm winning!!!

I have all my sleep schedule mixed up because I take too many meds. My body wants to sleep 24 hours, then wake up for 12, then go back to sleep for 24. It is not conducive for a normal life, but it beats the heck out of bumps and bruises from seizures, plus sleeping almost all the time:ybatty:. We are taking Doug's visiting (and high functioning autistic) brother up to visit their parent's grave in just a little bit as Dave hasn't been there in years, then come back, go to the store, make dinner, get some desperately needed housework done, then hope to (and try to) wake up in time for church tomorrow. Exciting life, isn't it?
Some day I hope to get the meds and seizures down together, and have a real life. You will find I'm the complainer on this forum. I did quit the depression forum I was on, too, because it was too depressing. I think by nature I'm a pretty happy person, but this year has just been one helluva year.

Are you sorry you asked? But I do like the looney bin.

No Sandy,
Not sorry I asked, but I am sorry you are going through so much right now. We must believe and pray together that this comes to a halt. I will pray for you everyday and you pray too. Speak to your body and tell it to be healed in his name. I believe firmly because I am walking proof. I should be dead and gone several times in my life, but God intervened. He put us here for his purpose. Even though we do have to suffer sometimes as part of maturing, he doesn't want us to always be suffering. Have a wonderful day and so sorry for the problems you face each day! That's why I love this thread. We can laugh and have a good time in spite of life still going on!!!

Sorry Teresa and everyone. Didn't mean to be so depressing. I just woke up from a bad dream. in actuality, it is a slightly cooler, but gorgeously sunny day as we listen to oldies on the way to Salt Lake. I'm also going to hang an (adult) swing from a big ol' tree in my back yard to sit and read a book in as the weather cools off. Carol inspired me. Now THAT is my slice of heaven.

Oh, and I win, and no, I'm not bi-polar, but I do get depressed at times. I also work hard to pull myself out. Michael and Trysha and Teresa, it is is definitely my win. I am also a (most of the time) religious person and more than anything believe in the power of prayer and it depends on what kind of person you are in this life if you believe in a life hereafter. No preaching intended, I also don't like preaching, we always have a right to or own beliefs.

The tree swing sounds awesome. I wish I had one and a back yard usable for one. We live very close to our landlord and he has claimed the whole backyard fenced in and all, for his dog and kids to play. I totally understand. I would just love to have that and some privacy to go sit outside. I love watching the hummingbirds though out my livingroom window. I have a feeder hanging on my front porch and they bring me calm and joy. Do you have them where you live?

I never thought for a second you were bipolar. I was talking about the seizures. Sorry if I offended you Sandy, sure didn't mean it that way. Just wanted you to know I will pray for you. No more preaching, ok?

How hot is it there in degrees? I don't know the celcious scale.
It is only 75 degrees here today and the kids are all outside enjoying the weather. Sounds like a playground behind my house! Makes me miss childhood days. Sorry you have to work tomorrow. What is toil? Housework? That's what I do for a living. Clean my sister's house. I used to do 3 a week but, no longer can keep up with it. My whole body was going to pot!!!

Toil - time off in leave, because I'm working tomorrow I am using the overtime hours to have Monday off. I could be paid for it but then I get taxed on this and I would rather just have my time back.

It's been about 86 degrees for me today.

No Teresa, you didn't offend me at all, and I'm sure you didn't offend anyone. I'm just careful about offending anyone because around here people try, at times, to shove religion down people's throats. I appreciate your offer, very much, and I will do the same. I even don't get offended about the depression:yfrown: part. I have to be me, and you have to be you. Sorry to hog the whole conversion, every one, but that means I WIN!

Hi Angrybird!

Guess I'm the only one on right now. My hubster is gone for the evening and my headache is coming back. I wonder if I'm catching the bug my hubby had for a few days. I hope not.:ywow: He had a headache and tummy ache. My hubby is going to put a picture of me on this sight tomorrow as I can't do it. There is a security thing on our computer because he has a photography website. he is very good. Prints pictures on metal. If you ever want to see them, I'll give you the name of his sight. Hope you are feelin better now .
Have a great evening.

I'm here for a win - the fire has been going all day. Fairly quiet Sunday for me, probably good for me:ybiggrin:
