That was a good run Kirsty - now step aside. I think a three hour win for me is on the cards now, so stand down everyone.

Robert found the shock button. And it wasn't my epilepsy. I'm back! Doug, get out of the bathroom and quit posting about me!

P.S. I win!

:sheep::sheep::sheep::sheep::sheep::sheep::sheep:A wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn:sheep::sheep::sheep:...he said..........

Nope, Trev didn't do anything with me even though he may have wanted to. He didn't run me over with his bike or anything. I've been a bit under the weather. :tank:

:study: Whatever my GI issue is, I'm definitely out of remission. Got the pain to go along with it. I think it's all the antibiotics I had to take over the last month or so.

Eye inflammation is back.

Asthma has been bad enough that all I want to do is sleep. Can't breath enough to do anything.

Despite doing IV hydration therapy, I've gotten so dehydrated this week that I've had to take one scoop of powder Gatorade G-2 (That's equivalent to 1 quart of electrolytes) and put it in 8 to 10 oz of water and drink it. I had to do it several days in a row. May have to do it again today.

CRPS/RSD has been acting up so I've also been in a lot of pain from that.

The muscle spasms have increased in frequency and intensity. (Yep! They're painful, just add it to my pain list.) I look like a drunk when I walk. LOL!

I see both GI and Neurology this week. Keep those appointments in prayer please.

Also have an issue going on with my port site. (Yet another pain item) I hoped it would clear up, but it hasn't. Nurse comes on Tuesday. I'll call her in the morn and see if she might could come on Monday instead.

Got a huge pain in the wallet. Gotta buy college books for two students and co-op books as well as other home school materials for one student.

Nearly wore my fingers out catching up on the thread. ;)

A great big WELCOME to all the newbies on this thread and forum. (I'm almost certain you know who you are.):soledance:

Robert, What a beautiful piece of heaven. Thank you for sharing. I'd love to go there. Hmmm... Salmon burger... Sounds nice... Don't think I could stomach it just yet though. Maybe later. (P.S. People get angry, dogs get mad.)

Forget who asked, but, no, I don't sleep much. It's a by product of CRPS/RSD. CRPS stands for I feel like crap. Or so I'm told.

Sandy, sorry to hear your seizures made a visit. I'll pray for them to leave. Thanks for taking care of her Doug and letting us know (Even if Sandy didn't want you to share) That way, we know how to pray and when to stop what we're doing and say a prayer.

Aura, I'll say a prayer for you that you will be able to get off the prednisone ASAP! Till then, I'll pray for patience and understanding from hubby.

I know I've missed a ton of stuff, so please don't get upset if I didn't mention you. I'm tired. Didn't sleep again last night. Not sure I'll make it to church today.

Thanks for all the chatter and laughs.

For all that, I'm going to take a great big win.... :us_flag:

Three things to be cheerful about

My football team won their first game of the season yesterday

There is a glorious sunny Sunday stretching ahead

I have a slab of chocolate waiting in the fridge

- okay not very earth shattering - but the simple pleasures are the best

Anyone else have three things to be cheerful about today?

I have a wonderful husband.

I have wonderful kids.

The sun will shine.

It's not the end of the world.

I still have a positive attitude and can smile and laugh despite everything going on.

I have the physical ability to do puzzles. (I had lost the ability to touch things without having pain back in Sept. With a lot of help from a wonderful OT and work on my part, I can once again touch things.)

Strength is slowly returning to my hands and fingers.

My cat loves and adores me.

I have friends that love me.

My IV is almost done. Yaa hoo! Freedom!

Opps! Got carried away. You only asked for three things.

And now I'll enjoy my win...

Uhhh... Robert, May I please have some of that slab of chocolate? Chocolate is one of a woman's most important food groups.:thumleft:

:heart:I am thankful for you all.
I am thankful for prayers answered.
I am thankful for prayers unanswered.
I am thankful cancer is gone.
I am thankful I don't have seizures orCrps/RSD, but my heart goes out to you both .
I am thankful it's not 90 plus anymore!
Have yourselves a great day!:p

PS Hope you had a great time yesterday Robert. Salmon done right is good.

I'm just thankful for all the good things in life to numerous to mention, the bad things will sort themselves out, eventually. And I win, because my dog is the only one that loves me UNCONDITIONALY,and doesn't argue with me.

I'm grateful I have friends that still accept me even when I get their conditions mixed up, that my dog who thought it was a great game when she chased the terrorized kid down the street yesterday didn't bite anyone, and that when she escaped this morning (again) I got to actually drive for the first time in who-knows-how-long in order to find her, albeit I'm not supposed to and just had my last seizure literally only hours before, and although I had bare feet, and just my pajamas and very tousled hair with all my late for church who know I'm not supposed to be driving neighbors watching (tee hee). It was exhilarating! oh, and I'm grateful Doug's brother got to come visit this last week, that Ashley is cleaning up her smelly room, that there is a rocking chair in or backyard because I didn't get to hang my tree swing chair, and that I woke up. that was fun!

:heart:Steelers football here in Pittsburgh play and exhibition game this evening. Looking forward to that. Steelers are GREAT!!!!:ysmile:

I have heard of them of course - but a very type of football - I mean they pick it up ! How is that football? :ywow:

:biggrin:I was waiting for a reply such as that! Football to us is rough and tumble and yours is more kick and tumble. Doesn't matter what you call it, it's difficult and takes alot of stamina and skill to play them both!!!

Am finally home from working all day and just had me tea, definetly having a lie in tomorrow.

Have Ben & Jerry's chocolate brownie ice cream to look forward to after another scorcher of a day

(my win)

With all of the football talk, I thought Doug's brother was back. He is a died in the wool Eagles fan and football fanatic. I was waiting for Robert to start another thankfulness thread before I won, but I will be thankful the Utes start their football season a week from Thursday, that we have season tickets, and that I won here. Next one to post is a rotten egg.

Thanks Sandy, but rotten eggs don't put me off.

I win - :medal1: and the win looks good on me this Monday morning

im going to have to set my alarm for the middle of the night, to much to catch up on in the morning. my turn for a win.

Good morning Trev. I hope you slept well. We all have strange conversations, don't we?

Hey, Teresa, angel lady. Beautiful picture! is that your grandson?

Good morning Trev. I hope you slept well. We all have strange conversations, don't we?

Hey, Teresa, angel lady. Beautiful picture! is that your grandson?

Thankyou Sandy! That is my neice Amelia. We call her Mia. She is a little older now. My hubby had trouble trying to put in pictures. Finally figured it out! How are you feeling?:hug:Better today, I hope! Angels were praying all day!

Thanks, angel lady for the prayers. I'm still a little uncoordinated and achy, but the fact that I have been awake for well over an hour means I'm well on my way to recovery. I'm so addicted to this darn forum, though, that I caught myself falling asleep in the middle of a post today/last night (haven't the foggiest idea when it was). I wouldn't be surprised if I have to check myself into "forums anonymous" in the future.

I should have realized that cute little bundle was more pink than blue. Pictures are often hard to see with much detail on my little cell phone screen, so I apologize for the mid-identification. Mia is a pretty name also.

How are you doing? Any better than this morning?

Oh, yeah. This forum thread is called "last one wins." For carrying on a conversation with Teresa, I WIN!

OK smarty pants!!!:dance:You can win tonight since you are having such a good one. Thanx God!!! I was hoping. I too am addicted and we should start a thread for the addicted ones! Call it "forums anonymous" LOL! What do ya think? It would be all the same people you see on this site I bet. My Steelers are down by a touchdown, so I ran upstairs to check on this site. Well, I hope the rest of this night continues to be calm and serene. Sleep well if you are heading to bed. I am going to TRY to get to Bed early. For me midnight is early. But, if youre up, I'll talk to ya later on!!

And another win for the Kiwis - wish we had a kiwi icon that would be cool

Kirsty, you could find a pic you like on the net and attach it to your signature.

:angry-banghead: now why did I tell you that?
xo:us_flag:

Robert hun, you can keep your chocolate rice cakes for yourself. You really should be a little bit nicer and share a spot of your slab of chocolate. You would make more friends that way.

Sandy, glad you're feeling better. Wow! Driving illegally! What will you do next, you little thrill seeker!? I take it you found your dog and all is well now?I think we're all going to have to head to Forum Anonymous, LOL!

Teresa, Mia is a little cutie. Thanks for sharing.

I didn't sleep a wink last night yet I made it to church today so for that, I get a win!

Since you won, I didn't want to blow it for you by posting a new one. I am better than this morn.:poo: I forgot to tell you that. the cholesterymine and fiber combined is helping.:thumright:so I am hoping tomorrow stays the same. I can't get to sleep. Been layin there in bed since 11:30 watching TV till Mike asked me to please turn it off. Then he starts snoring and I can't get to sleep. Then I pulled something in my left shoulder and it's going down my arm into the top of my hand. I guess nerve pain. My back is not so good. Had surgery in 1999 for slipped disc lower back. I have that degenerative stuff and arthritis and spurs in my upper back. Take after my Dad. Sorry to complain, just explaining. Getting older is such fun, but I guess I'm blessed to be here. May you sleep well with no problems!! Hows your fam???Steelers won!!!:emot-dance::cheers::applause::grr1d::cheerss:Guess that's enough fanfare for tonight, it was just preseason after all. Talk to you tomorrow then! Nighty night!

Thanx Naturelover. Mia is a doll baby. She is ornery like her mom! Hope you get some sleep tonight and are feeling better. I can't sleep tonight due to snoring in my bed:frown:. Can't seem to escape it, though I love the one behind it! Plus I did something to my back and pain shooting down my arm. It's always something!!:yfrown: Anyway, talk to you soon.:rosette1:

Trysha, sorry to burst your bubble, but I win!

Sandy, you'll have to pick another time to win. I do believe this is my time. LOL!

723, Perhaps you need to sleep in a separate room from hubby. My hubby spends time with me then heads off to a different room to sleep. Between his snoring, heavy breathing, long arms and legs flopping around and his jerking every few minutes I can't sleep with him. I know he has sleep apnea and that is why he jerks every few minutes. He has an appt with my doc so we can both get on him and get a sleep study done as well as encourage him to be more proactive in his well care. When I told him he had an appt with my doc he just smiled and laughed and said, "so now the two of you are going to gang up on me to make sure I do what I need to do." He said that was fine. I couldn't believe it. I was worried he would be upset with me. So glad he's not. He is so exhausted all the time due to his lack of proper sleep. I think he's happy to see a doc who will refer him for a sleep study. His doc is in the same practice but won't tell him who to see for a sleep study until hubby gets more sleep at night. Huh? Really? Seriously? He also can only sleep so long because his back starts hurting and he has to get up. My hubby is an amazing man. I'm so grateful and blessed to have him.:thumright: I will pray for your back and pain levels.
P.S. Go Steelers, go Steelers, go Steelers....

Trev, are you lurking in the corner again? You can come out now. But the win is still mine.

Thanx so much naturelover! My hubby definately has sleep apnea and they wanted him to go for a study. But, he hates Dr.s and it's like pulling teeth to get him to go. As for sleeping in another room, he would be extremely upset if I did. Plus, we only have a small spare for the kids and their's no a/c in there. Sometimes he falls asleep in his recliner and then I can get to sleep before him and I'm ok. Your response was very informative and appreciated. I started a new forum under Member's only/humor. Called "forum's anonymous" for those of us addicted to a forum. It is for fun only. Check it out when you have time. Sleep well and feel better!!!:thumleft:

Never ! Nice me ! No my job is to be such a pain that you all give posting,,,,,,,,,,,,,and I win............simple strategy!

Teresa - You are way too young and good looking to be a gran - that Sandy, how could she?

I think she looked too beautiful and young also, but during my seizures I have these rare, unexplained dreams and was told she has a grandson. I was also told that NL is correct, that you should have shared that slab of chocolate, but now it is gone there is no hope for you. I'm sooooo sorry, Robert.

"Robert, Carol and Cheryl know exactly what they are doing, and you know it." Is what I said, should have said:

Robert, you know that Carol and Cheryl know exactly what they are doing...

Okay, all of you who are on the other side of world, you can win for awhile. Just remember we will come back to win last. (with Trysha trying to silently sneak in.)

I have a lighter hair colour than years ago - grey.

Scottsma and Clynn also follow my strategy of being a pain to stop people posting......they just don't realise they are doing it !

I'm greyish too,and short like Dame Judy Dench.Only recently stopped dying my hair, lifes too short and I have been told quite a few times that it's nice as it is.So thats ok by me.No point having lustrous glossy hair and a face like a bag of spanners eh Robert ? Winning!!!!!!!!!!!:D

I thought so. I'm glad I wasn't some old hag and posted my pic. He may never had talked to me again!:well::king:

My Steelers pulled out a win last night with a field goal!!!!!:banana:

Ah don't be afraid,be VERY afraid!!!!!! HaHa,man up you wimp.(and you LOVE the attention, we don't have Doug and Trev being so much trouble)

Gotta go get ready for the annual contract signing at the foster agency. Does anybody wanna share Ashley? She is in the dog house again.

you're too kind Sandy.It takes a special person and I'm not her.Now,Allie,I would consider.

oooh lovely.missed mine today because had fruit and wheatgrass for brekkie and veggies for lunch.Got to say juicing is getting to be another addiction.Fave is apple, carrot, celery, beetroot and kale. But it's a bu**er washing up.The trick is to wash up before you drink up.

Yes I agree - don't put off the washing up because it is the only bad thing about juicing. I discovered juicing about 8 years ago - I bought a juicer that included a Jason Vale juicing book and have been hooked ever since. A glass of fresh veg juice bears no relation to a carton of juice - no matter how fresh it claims to be. I always know my glass of carrot juice will be the healthiest thing I have every day. I used to vary the juices - but stuck on Carrot & celery now (cold out of the fridge).

Hi Carol? I just wanted to tell you to try in a spray bottle, put half hydrogen peroxide and half white vinegar. It is non toxic and you just spray it on and let it sit a min. and stains and germs gone. The peroxide turns to pure water as soon as it finishes it's job. I use this in and around my kitchen and bathroom all the time. Try it.:)

And of course wipe after it sits. Forgot to say that. I love carrots and celery, but doesn't all that juice give you the runs?

Not at all, well the juice doesn't anyway. The Juice is pure nutrients,no fibre which is from the skins and pulp, which most people with gippy tummys can't tolerate.

I got a Jason Vale with my juicer too.Gave a friend my blender to make xmas cocktails, and m kicking myself. It was a cracker.Love smoothies.

I know it's not the weather thread, but the heat here is ridiculous,so logging off now before I have heat stroke.I've got all the windows open as well.Going to the woods for a barbie tomorrow so you'll have to manage without me 'til late afternoon.Try to cope and behave yourselves. To all our friends on the night shift,no fighting.I win.Goodnight and thankyou. xxx

Tony Scott

Very sorry to hear about the death of Tony Scott the film director. He was a long time customer for Montecristo Havana cigars. Made some great films and was a real gent.

Welcome, newbie. We are all looneys on this forum (except me, of course), but we have fun. It will be extra nice to have a teenager on here because maybe Robert will behave himself a little more properly. Well, maybe not. We are glad to have you though, Stephanie.

We signed this year's contract for our foster daughter. What have we done!??!?!?!!! I have an idea, Stephanie, you can come secretly trade places for awhile. We are very good to our foster kids. They just don't know it, but you sound like a reasonable person (until Robert corrupts you).

I always feel guilty posting after you, Trysha. You are always so polite. I wish you felt better. I wish everyone here always felt good and had no medical issues. THE END!
