Apple- one of the toughest fruits to digest, the pectin is great for us in many natural functions, but terror for digestion :(. Sry love. Muah :hug::kiss::hug:

I was told to eat apples because they are great for digestion!!! I can't win! I do know they r good for the D.

3-4 inches here and much more to come by Friday. Hope it doesn't flood here. I live very close to our reseviour. It's across the street and down a sloped yard. So I sure hope it wouldn't come up this far.:shifty:

Prob my fault. I told you one of the only things i could eat when i was pg (i never tell anybody about that, and now i told EVERYBODY) was apples. I forgot to tell you i ate ginger snaps too. But i didn't have crohns.
 
No not your fault Sandy, I eat apples all the time. I always did because I always hear great things about them.

I am ok as long as I peel them - been thinking about peeled toffee apples for the Halloween/ bonfire night season . Anyone tried that?

Noone up and about I guess. Oh well, we survived the brunt of the wind last night. I can tell it got wicked, some flowers and rose bushes are all blown around. But we are blessed we didn't get it worse. There is some flooding a couple miles from here. It is still raining and we could still get gusts of wind thru Wed. -Thur. But we were spared the worst!Thanx God!!!:thumright::heart:
 
If I eat an apple it comes out into my bag in 20 min looking like chewd up apple. No digestion at all (but then with me that goes for a lot of other things too). But I would think if you cooked the apple it would be better for you and easier on the stomach. Same with most vegetables and other fruits. Cooked ok.. raw.. hard on the stomach

And popcorn.. definately a no no if strictures. I have in the past ended up in the hospital 2 times (no.. I did not learn from the first time). Nowdays however I can handle even popcorn.

I guess I will either cook them now or ar least peel them. I heard you can cook them and just add cinnamon and they are good like that. Maybe a little sweetener. I avoid real sugar. Glad you and your pup are doing wel;l! Have a great day!:rosette1:
 
One good recipie is to chop up some apples and cook them in the oven with some cinamon, (brown sugar or maybe honey) and some oats (oatmeal) on the top. The oats wont cook all the way so it might be hard on the stomach. Not sure. But its good. ;)


edit: Aperently the correct term for the type of oats I mean is rolled oats.

But yeah.. I really should be going out before it gets dark. Its just so cold and gloomy one does not feel like going out. However its nothing to what you are having there.. so I should get myself together and go. Glad you are ok Teresa.

Good to hear you were not too bad in the storm.It looked ferocious your way!
It was quite bad here from behind my window! (I'm Southern Ontario)
The wind picked up my beautiful giant chrysanthemum, it was about three feet in diameter and a lovely gold and orange one. I have picked up the pieces which still have roots and will try replanting later.
Other than that I have survived but have not listened to any news yet.
We are fairly high up on the escarpment about 600ft above the downtown., but downtown may get flooding---it happens.
Hope everyone on here is OK and weathered the storm.
The rivers in the New York subways were terrible.

Actually we need someone to keep order around here - we get so much riff-raff and near the knuckle comments. Fancy Dusty threatening to use her status as 'super moderator' to ban me - nothing super or moderate about Dusty.

Since when can men multi task? Your brains have tiny compartments where you can work out of each one separately. Womens are like spaghetti strands. We can work form them all at the same time. Ever here about that? Maybe you are part Roberta LOL!:p;)
 
Well if she's on holiday, it's an awful long one. I hope she comes back.
As for your multi tasking, not the same as working looking at woman scantily clad!

Fire whistles are blowing. Mike said the loyalhanna river is flooded up over Rte.30 (main rte.) and road is closed. I guess I better go to my little town store instead of Walmart today.

How ols is she anyway? I took in my 15 yr old sisyer for a hlf a yr. Whioped her into shale ral quick. She was failing, stealing, lying, etc...she's pretty good now! Lol. Though john...the hubby...probably wouldn't do it all again!!!
 
JBug, i have a lot of catching up to do, too, but it is because i just got up. :biggrin: but on the other hand, it is only (this is early for me) 9:00 here. It takes a lot of time to read all the unread posts, appreciate and send support everyone's way! For now, i will have to catch up with the rest later. I have too send a report to Ashley's school and hope they don't take the disciplinary action that they can with her ... sighsighsighsigh

So I went for my walk with one dog and came home with two. :eek: So doggysitting a friends dog for the evening while she and her husband finnish off moving. I just happened to walk past them. This was not a planned thing. He does seem a bit worried about where his mommy may be...
 
Hey sandy and sanni. I'm still pretty ill. But you know how quickly they shove tou outta the hospital theae days. Have about 12 new meds and kidneys miht be failing??? I have another two surgeries comin up. I dunno who said kidney stents don't hurt, but I wanna meet em! Peeing is a huuuuge ordeal for me. Anyone one with extensive storm damage?

because when I came on-line about 2hrs ago I had nearly 20hrs to catch up on,when I eventually got through it all and took Alf for a quick walk,there was another 12posts to look at.I'm fast losing the will to live.............

I was wanting a quick LOW (last one wins), even if i didn't post, because of my own storms (not Sandy, ha ha, and not seizures) but there is no way i have time to go look at it all. Hang in there Carol. I need you around. (Because you're not a square. I like juvenile humor when I'm stressed. But i do need you around.)
