we went to a place called Sill's cafe. a local place. I had the "small" veggie omelette which is HUGE.

Sounds really good!
Did you see that there are like five volcanoes erupting around the world? The gravitational pull on the earth is happening and causing solar flares too!
Freaky stuff and scary!!! Sorry so serious all of a sudden!!!:ack:

went to my second job this am, then to the clinic for yet another urine test (they are still looking for a UTI), when to the churuch for a few hours, came home and crashed.

My hubs always says that too! He wants to move to Italy or at least go there for vacation. He has many relatives over there he wants to meet!

Why do they think UTI so much of the time? Or shouldn't I ask??? I get burning alot, but no infection....

Thanx Angel, didn't know that. I put chapstick on and drink water, and everyday, my lips are cracking and bleeding even sometimes! Sorry I missed talking to you this morning. We will talk soon! If not over the weekend, soon!!!:heart:

they just told me from my urine culture it didn't grow out a UTI. the fast test said I did, though, and this fast UTI test the last time I was at a hospital said that too. however, I have pain in my lower left side and both sides of my back, as well as blood in my urine. when I looked up on the internet what could cause this, it scared me. are your UTIs under control at the moment?

Becasue I have a fistula connecting my colon to my baldder, so I keep getting bacteria and other nasties in my urine. No, I don't have any burnning, in fact I don't even feel like I have a UTI, but it keeps showing up. I hope it is going for good this time, becasue I really don't want to be on the antibotics any more and this infection is what is keeping me out of remission.

Sorry Jamie, I think you may have told me that already before, but my memory is not doing well lately! I hope this passes for you soon! Crohn's is the strangest disease!!:ack:

Angel, Did u notice any difference in pain when you went on Cymbalta? My rheumy said if neurontin doesn't work by the end of Jan. she will try it on me. I am on effexor now and like it alot. Just didn't help the pain....

I have been on the cipro/flagyl combo off and on this entire year. It works, but it seems that whenever I go off of it for any period of time, it comes right back. It is frustrating.

So I hope that this time we knocked it out for good becasue I don't seem to be passing as many particales as I used to be, so I am hoping that the Humira is working to close up the fistula.

I am no MD> but I wouldn't. I only use them when I have to. The good flora gets destroyed by them. Then you have to play catch up with probiotics before it causes another flare up!
 
Sandy, do you drink dark juice everyday??? They claim you should if you get UTI's alot. I used tobut haven't had one now in a yr.YAY!!! They hurt so bad!:frown:
 
That is soooo true. I always end up with another problem if I don't supplement with acidophilus when on antibiotics

Me too, before i was diagnosed with crohn's, I had one UTI in my whole life! I always wondered why I got more the last couple yrs . Hate crohns!!!:mad2::mad2::mad2:
 
My doc said to go back to him if pain not getting better in a couple of days, of course, he is off Fridays, and now weekend. Not worse, but not really better either
 
I wonder where the Bug is tonight! She must still have company and stuck in the bedroom with sleeping hubs!!! We miss you bug!!! I am hitting the hay guys. I only got 6 hrs. sleep last night and am whooped. Have fun and behave until Robbie shows up! Then it's all out!:ack:;)

Drink lots and lots of dark juice, cranberry and blueberry mixed. Make sure it's 100% juice though. Northland is a good name.

Hated hated gabapentin, almost killed my kids n myself on it literally. Cymbalta® has its benefits but think i need higher dose now. Yes, if i don't take it i can most certainly feel a diference, but I'm on so many drugs anymore- just think all this is a figment of my imagination and so are my issues......hehehe

Angel, have you had any problem with excessive sweating on Cymbalta? I did, but didn't know that was where it was coming from until lately. the higher the dose, the worse the problem, of course.
 
BTW, what got Ashley looking at these avatars was her asking who the pretty lady in black was. Not kidding.

(And no my looney friends, I don't sit here for an hour waiting for a new post. It just so happens that I get a tone everytime a new email comes in, and this email account is almost exclusively crohns forum. if I don't notice, my dog sometimes sits and looks at the phone because she gets jealous of it. sometimes, like now, she likes to get between me and my phone.)

I am all good - I have been very tired this week - so I hope I get lots of energy for next week. That is my only worry - that I may get too tired - but I dont know until I try. Your dog is a smart dog and must love you very much.

I will keep you in my prayers. Change, or thoughts of it even, can be wearing. lots of good energy your way.

and my dog is just spoiled. She also hates her picture taken now, and hides when I point the camera part at her. (it's the flash.)

Best christmas tune.. I used to love White christmas.. but now I am not sure anymoew.. I also love winter wonderland or Sleigh ride.

And Let it snow always reminds me of a weekend I spent at my aunts house in the USA when I was there at age 16. They live in a higher elevation and I was supposed to spend 1 night there.. but it started to snow and school was canceled and we where snowed in. I think I eneded up spending 3-4 days with them. It was so fun. We would look outside at the snow falling and sing Let it snow. :) And the neighbours had a hot tub so we sat in the hot tub while snow was falling. A great winter memory for me.

Your nr1 choice was new to me. Had to look it up. Something different. Was just about to say it's a bit sad.. but it sure pics up. :D I quite like it. Funny!

I am having a bit of cleaning day.. not vacuming and such but digging out my lights and stuff. Want to get my star up on the window for the first advent. And cleared out my grandmas vase to put some candles in it.. it looks so pretty that way instead of all the junk its been collecting into it the past couple months.. I should not put junk in it.. Im sure she rolls in her grave every time I put stupid things into her vase. She alwas had dried flowers in it.. though she also tossed candy wrappers in it :D cus she was so short she did not see them in the bottom and though no one could.. but I did. Love her and miss her. .. see more memoris.. they gave me too much drugs at the hospital the other day. All sentimental now.:p

Sandy, that happened to me too with welbutrin and effexor. But the longer i am on it, the less problem has become.

So true, but still hate the heat, always did. I am allergic to it and avoid it at all costs. Exceot to take my grandkids swimming. I will suffer almost anything for them!!!:hug::lol:

Hey all! I hope everything is well for you! I'm gunna post this and get goin, might be back when we are driving...anyhow, I would like to ask all of you that are believers, to say a little prayer for my family today.

This morning I lost my great grandma. She was amazing...way too awesome. I'm gunna miss her until the day we are reunited.

Um, also, my father is in the hospital. He has stage 4 cancer of the esophagus that has metastasized to his liver. He is terminal. Dr told my brother he.may have less than a week. My father has never been a Dad, but I do know deep down I still love him.

So any prayers you could send up, I would be so very greatful for! My heart is a little heavy today.

jBug. Sorry for you GG. I lost my grandma two years ago and miss her still so much. I always will. Special people like that stay in your heart forever. Your grandma will too. And I wish strenght to you and your dad in what he is going through. I know what you mean with never been a dad... But there is still love. Be strong.

No haven't experienced that yet, but have a lot of hormone issues n adrenal; as well as, thyroid going on now :(
 
Hello Everybody---happy Saturday---
Hi Jbug, sorry for your sad time -- you have my prayers.
Have been busy today with a new frig being installed and the old one removed.
Found it very stressful. Had to scrub the kitchen floor tiles after theyleft, so much snow
made it messy.
Its great now with the new frig. Lots of room in it.
Looks as if I might be spending Christmas at home after all. The GI wants to start
Remicade and says its urgent.Can't wait till the renal issues are investigated in March!
Have had the usual crohn's pains but have not been that bad, however at times I am into serious
difficulties with swallowing. He is reluctant to push further investigations on me and said they already know a number of issues exist from previous scopes and CAT scans.
So I am a bit disappointed if I don't make it to UK for Christmas.
Sorry I can't bring you any Havanas Robert---they will only go stale if I get them and then don't make it to England on time.Bit of a waste then don't you think??
So now I await the call from the Remicade coordinator.
Hope everyone will be feeling better for Christmas.
