Melanoma and crohn's, what meds can I take

This is my first post. I was diagnosed with crohn's in 2004. I have just been recentally diagnosed with melanoma in situ. My wide large biopsy came back with clear margins. My GI Dr sent to a specialist. The specialist took me off my entocort and 6-MP that I have been on for 4 years. He said there are not many options for me now with melanoma. He is sending me to another specialist in Seattle. Surely there has to be someone else out there with crohn's and melanoma. What do you take? I am so frustrated and starting to have crohn's symptoms now with no meds.

I'm sure there must be others out there with crohn's disease and melanoma. I just wanted to get some ideas on how they deal with it.

Hello KayC, I also had melanoma in situ and a wide excision about 2 years ago. Just this week I was diagnosed with Crohn’s. I have not had a follow up yet to discuss treatment options but have questions about the wisdom of immunosuppressants with a melanoma history. I would think someone else has already walked this road?!
