Testing my 'remission'

I'm in remission, in my opinion. Going once or twice a day, semi-formed. Compared to a month or so ago, when I was in the ER, bleeding, going 10-15 times a day, nauseous, throwing up, in pain. The entocort and cimzia seem to be doing the trick.

Anyway, does anyone ever 'test' their remission? I had my 3 biggest triggers today: taco bell, pizza and alcohol. I'm nervous about tomorrow, but hopeful. Am I just being stupid?

Its ok to test IMO. If you are in remission the ramifications should not be that bad. Just dont test to much, you want to also support your health with good nourishing foods.

Personally food and drink doesn't affect my Crohn's, even when I'm in a flare! (treated myself to Chinese food and Dr. Pepper tonight haha). So I can totally understand you wanting to test the waters. Maybe just go easy to start with :) Good luck for tomorrow! I wish you 2 semi-formed b/ms and no blood, pain, nausea or vomiting :D

It is my understanding that food does not cause a flare, but can exacerbate symptoms. IMO, having all three triggers in one day was mighty risky!

And NO ONE should eat Taco Bell. That shiz is toxic!

Good luck - I hope you feel alright tomorrow!!

HAhahaha! Taco Bell is a fast-food chain. Cheap, Mexican take out food. It's delicioiusly horrible!!!

Aha, now I know. Mexican food isn't the first thing I will be trying I don't think.
A big slice of carrot cake with extra thick topping for me...yum...hopefully not going to have to wait too much longer.

Taco Bell, aka Taco Hell, is fast food Mexican. It's soooo good, but will give even the healthiest person diarrhea. So far, so good!
