What is YOUR weather like today??

7C gray, expecting rain. Some of the first leaves are starting to pop out on some of the trees, the process of 'green up' has begun. The frogs are a bit thin this year, they don't have the volume like should have, but at least they are not gone. Carol, chances are good its a Canadian show when there's piles of snow. One can still find some snow in the bush at this time of year. Chris I wish I could tap into some of that energy you have there at the moment.

No change here. Sun,showers and breezy......Ron, just go with the flow my friend. If you want some time in bed, then go for it.
We're never going to get any of the life we've had. back so if you need time out, have it.You've worked long and hard and have all sorts of health problems so look after yourself .How many youngsters who'll neither work nor want, do you think lie in bed most of the day?

Cold and wet 6C. I'll trade you some of that heat for our ongoing cold weather Lynda. I spent the night walking the ceilings, I got maybe 10 minutes of sleep in between before waking up to cramps throughout the night. I may have eaten too much vegetables last night overloading my system. Like Ron I'll sleep for part of the day. Too cold and wet to do any work outside. My neice has had the roof of the house tarped up, but it will be awhile before a new roof along with trusses can be rebuilt, they believe it was a tornado. The barn will wait. As farmers they will do the work themselves, contractors are hard to find due to all the storm damage.

Another fine day,my summer clothes are still folded and waiting to be ironed and hung up.....maybe tomorrow.
There's been an absence of Covid numbers in the papers lately, probably due to the pantomime in Westminster.....but I found a clip in todays paper.......in the week up to May 21st there were ONLY 1 point 1 million people with the disease in the UK. Down from1 point 3 million the previous week, that's not including people who didn't register, those who wanted to go on holiday,go to festivals and football matches etc. So really the pandemic is almost over, NOT. Now we only have Monkey Pox to worry about, and the government of course.......... Di., best wishes for tomorrow, I'll be thinking about you.

Cold and wet 10C. Back to the regular weather, the solstice is now less than a month away, typically the good weather doesn't arrive until after the solstice, its with hope warmer weather will finally filter in, in the next few weeks. Yesterday was a sample of what is to come. I cut some wood until I got into a sweat, then spent the rest of the afternoon on the deck in the sunshine knowing it would not last long. Had a better sleep last night without the cramping.

I now work like a farmer and I love it. I used to be a ranch hand.

My volunteer driver loves her weekends away. No, she didn't book my driver. We had to panick this morning but finally she has found someone to takeme to todays appointment. God, i was worried. As i say, i like things to run smoothly without hiccups. Sunny is this morning with possibilities of showers. So long as i get to hospital i shall be happy with the day.

Rather cloudy today. Not so warm so i've put the winter woollies on again. Got to my appointment and got all tests done. If i don't don't get a call from the hospital today then i'm covid negative and will go to hospital on the 1st. Hoping i will be in just one day although it could be two. Starting to get nervous about having my brain plucked about, lol. I'm sure it will be fine. Then they will decide my course of action. None too soon.

You really need those tests Di., much as you don't want them. The sooner the better, no matter what the results say, These docs know what they're doing much better than 10-20yrs ago.But I understand how scared you are, being alone.Sending hugs and positive thoughts you way x.........Got caught in a heavy shower on the way from town and quite cold at 10c, but home now and dried out and I'm not moving off this recliner 'til bedtime.

12C Cloudy. Glad you found someone to take you in Di, you don't need unnecessary stress at this time. I hope I can go out and cut wood, the blackflies will be out in a matter of days from now. Its good seeing everything greening up with that fresh smell of new growth in the air. We could really use some warm sunny days to dry things up and get things growing, the rivers are still very high.

Thats odd, I logged on only to find that my comment from Saturday was still in the preview window, I just posted it in now. Di, its better to have the doctors check you out than to let it go. At least you have the care that may make the difference going forward. Its a wet one today, with a thunderstorm this morning. I got a fair bit of wood cutting done yesterday.

We had more heavy downpours through the night, today its very windy and should start to partially clear up before more unsettled weather moves through. Looking at traveling to visit family, but as usual my sisters have no time for me, to heck with them there will be more time to visit those who are worthy of my time, travel is not easy for me anyways and this will probably my last time. How family rifts can last a lifetime, it appears the healthy ones do not understand how precious our limited time is here. Three years away due to covid, she can keep her 70k boat, money does awful things to people.

12C mainly sunny. High winds knocked the power out and I had the chance to run the new generator. Its a lot of generator for the price, and I like the long runtime with its larger fuel tank. Now I have two generators in case one quits. The old Honda is 25 years old, and I felt that it would be a good idea to have a second genny.

I'm home already. So pleased. hated every minute of hospital. Procedure was painful all of yesterday and much of today. Staff weren't very friendly either. Got to hospital at 7 am and went down to theatre at 10pm. At least it's nice to be quiet at home. Wish i still had a cat though. I'm looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight and i hope i don't wake too early. Weather has been cold and low cloud. Didn't catch much of the jubilee weekend so far and not too many streets celebrating around here either. I'm too tired to be bothered with it anyway. Getting an early night and will log on tomorrow hopefully feeling much better.

Slwpt really well. Feel so much better for it too. Nothing like my own bed. Sunnyish out today and i'm going to have bit of a lazy day today. I've lost track of everything with the jubilee bank holiday and di've no idea whether shop hours are normal today. In act i have to keep reminding myself what day it is. Will be glad when all is normal again.

Glad you're home Di., We all know what you mean, there's no place like home and especially you own bed.
No need to tell you to take it easy,I hope,
Nice day here.I thought we were in for a storm last night but it turned out to be one flash of lightning and one roll of thunder hahaha. I can't remember when we last had a good storm here, but it must be years,

We had some heavy rain overnight but it cleared the coast early this morning. The cold front is still with us and we we will see some chilly weather early next week. I'm glad I have learned to live without heaters the way power prices are increasing. Glad you are feeling a little more settled Di, Ron.

I couldn't agree more! You can't take that stuff with you... Better to enjoy what you have, while You're still here... PEACE!

Huge hugs Buddy. XX :)

My notifications are dated wrong on here.
Much sunnier this morning and i'm going to get a few loads of washing done as it's nice. All the winter bedding is being done, winter woollies too, although i still have one on lol, and i'm hoping to give my back garden its first ever strim. It's grown like mad since the massive fir trees came down. It's nice to see some green in it though. I'm getting hrough a 20kg sack of bird food every two weeks. I think the birds might be going on a diet soon. The young will have fledged oon.
Ron, you're lucky you don't have a heater. Donn't bother with the cost of energy these days. 6C seems quite cool though. |I'd be putting the heating on if it was that here.

DON'T overdo things Di., !!!! what's wrong with sitting down with a chocolate bar and a book ? Do you know when you'll get your results ?.......a mixed day of sun and light showers here and the remnants of Storm Alex is bringing unseasonable strong winds tomorrow. I'm going to get my lockdown hair cut tomorrow too. It's been 16mnths and it's way past my shoulders now.I wear it tied back or up, as I'm too old to wear it loose alas.Lockdown isn't totally to blame, crohns forced a few cancellations,so fingers x'ed.

I'm told results in around 10 days, so about the 21st. I still have pain in the brain too. Once i get those results i will know my path forwards in treatment which is the next step. In the meantime i'm waiting to get the stitches out and get a good hairwash. \my hair will need a good sort out due to the shaved spot. Mind, i might lose it all again. in the meantime it looks and feels dreadful. Another fairly nice day although thundery showers are still a possibility for tonight and tomorrow.

It is 7c here this morning. We had 3c yesterday. !9c during the day. Not very happy. An ATM ate my debit card last saturday. Apparently all cards that are not returned by the machine are destroyed at the next cleaning maintenance . I got onto the bank the same day and asked for help. They said that a new card would come via express post on Monday. Nothing, I waited till post arrived wednesday. Nothing so I rang the bank again. They assured me a new card would be there on Thursday morning. Nothing. They texted me that my new card had been mailed and would arrive Friday. This Friday is a show holiday public holiday and there is no banks open or mail delivery. To make matters worse my bank closed the branch in our town in Jan. All the Branches on the Sunshine coast are also closed for the holiday. I do all my shopping with my debit card so I have been with out financial resources from last Saturday till next Monday. Luckily I still use internet banking for paying rent and phone and power bills but i have run out of several medications. Like I said not happy. Ron. PS> I rang another bank yesterday about changing banks. I will get an appointment with them next week. Ron.

i get stressed in situations like that, Ron. i like to be in control of my cards. If i don't have it then omone else does. Sunny and fairly warm today. Wish i felt better though. Can't believe we're one third through June.

I feel exactly the same.I can't abide any disruption in my daily routine especially when money/payments are at the centre of it.
Medicines or lack of script deliveries have the same effect.Things should be easier these days of technology.
A lovely day here at 20c but a bit breezy.Had a walk down to the coast and sat and watched the surfers although the surf wasn't as big as it gets during winter.I was glad to get home and I could have done with Ron's walker if I'm honest,

WE did not get the predicted 7c yesterday morning, instead it dropped to 3c. It was 6c this morning. I agree that with todays technology here is no excuse to take ten days to replace a faulty debit card. What makes me mad is that they made two promises to deliver the new card by last Monday and then Thursday and failed to deliver on either promise. If it does not come on Monday I am not sure what I will do. My total disposable wealth at the moment is $17.00. Carol with the cold weather my legs are so numb from neuropathy I am having major problems staying upright. Without the walker I would not leave home. Ron.

A sunny 18c but still very windy. Ron,Les wears thermal "long Johns" and vests during cold weather, but it seems a bit odd that Aussies might also need them. You must really feel the changes in temps, especially at our age. Have you got thermal blankets, the stuff the jackets are made from ? They're cheap, light weight but warm and dry quickly when washed. I had to put the summer bedding on today as I almost passed out with the heat last night, but no doubt chilly Willy will have his fleece blanket on his side.
I hope your cash problem gets sorted on Monday .

Yes I have thermal blankets. I love them not just from the warmth but their lack of weight. No I don't have any long underwear. I have never seen the on sale in Qld. My whole wardrobe consists of shorts and T shirts and two good jumpers. When I have a funeral it definitely won't be open coffin. I hope my card arrives tomorrow but I have decided to change banks, I need a bank in my home town. Ron. Stay cool.

Our winds are turning SE so that they are blowing off the warm Pacific instead of the southern ocean. Our overnight temps are going up to 12c with 22c daytime temps. I finally received my new debit card today with not a word of apology. Ron.

So pleased you're back on track financially Ron. No body needs that sort of stress. Don't spend it all in one shop hahaha

A bit cooler today but guts are not good.Maybe I should have had the colonoscopy when it was offered last month.
weather heating up in the next couple of days so you can put those thermals away Di.,

15C Unsettled, with a lot of rains of late. Okay, I am back from my holiday with family. It was a great time out seeing family and others I have not seen in 3 years. 12 days away, I had one short visit with my sisters, and no family dinner because they have no time. I don't understand that one. I can make time any time out of the day to accommodate people. To me a day is a long period of time that offers flexibility. Oh well, I spent lots of time with my nephew, and that is what really counts. My nephew does not dissapoint, I woke up to the smell of bacon and eggs, went ATV riding, canoing, BBQing and time with his friends. On the other half of the trip, the hotel gave me a free room upgrade and I got full treatment from them at no extra charge. The whole trip was like a dream out of Alice in Wonderland, but in the end the rental car turned into a pumpkin, and the room into a tree. All good things must come to an end.

14C Sunny, with clouds of mosquitos, black flies and Deer flies. I went in for my appointment for day surgery. The surgeon took one look at my stoma and said that its more complex due to the size of the growth and will refer me to another surgeon which may take some time. I had a feeling that this may not have been so simple as just cutting it off.

I must say it has been very summery lately and today doesn't look too bad either. I'm still resting up or a bit as my headaches are increasing and i'm haviving to take mor morphine for it now. I'm awaiting the follow up appointment don't know how long that will take. Hope it's sooner rather than later.

Di., is there anyone checking on you, like a community nurse or a carer to help with shopping etc ? I bloody hope so !!!
Another nice Aussie winters day, wink. We had a nice couple of hours cycle but I was glad to get home due to (TMI alert ) piles or hemmy's where ever you are in the world. Crohns.... the gift that keeps on giving hahaha.

24C Today appears to be a summer beauty coming up. Expecting temperatures to reach near 30C. I'll be out on the deck, as it will not last much more than another day. Yesterday by comparison was cold, not much better than 15C with raw winds and I had to put a fire on last evening.

She might have thought you'd been on the bottle Di., but that's no excuse.I hope she gets diahorrea in the supermarket !!!
Summer Solstice today,we had surfers, swimmers and yoga doers down on the beach greeting the new dawn .I wasn't there but I saw it on the local news hahaha.Of course Di,. knows what that means----- Days are getting shorter. Xmas cards will be in the shops before we know it, SIGH !!!
A nice warm and breezy day again. Where;s Chris ?

Tee hee, Carol, i hadn't thought of that. I normally celebrate the longest day of the year with a roast for me and my cats. No cats, not bothering. Tis too warm for a roast anyho. Chris, hope all is well. Carol, \I'M sure you're looking forward to xmas with the cold days.

Yesterday was our first real summer day, went up to 32C. I heard the sound of a window airconditioner instead of the furnace for a change. Today was the solstice, which means that as much as the days are getting shorter, the better part of the year is now coming with the worst behind us. I made bacon and eggs for breakfast for a treat, and will go out and read on the deck while the good weather lasts.

I enjoy the heat, but as long as I have an air conditioned house with proper airconditioning, fans simply don't cut it. That way I can sleep and get away from the heat. Otherwise I enjoy a hot day on the beach or out on the deck. Variety is the spice of life. Today is much cooler, I may work on firewood later. 15C

Turned out nice again ..... storms are forecast in the south of the country just as Glastonbury is taking off for the first time since 2019.
But it won't be the first time they've had mud up to their eyebrows.Part of the fun for us watching on TV.

Been nice or while now. bit dissappointing i can't go out and drive and the buses only go to two places. It's a little depressing to stay in all the while. I do wish they would hurry up with appoointments and treatment. I feel i'm definitely going downhill now. Covid numbers are going up again too. What a boring last few years.

warm, phewww. Trying not to move around to much, which I;m finding increasingly easy.

Here's one for Di., in fact all of us.
It takes real skill to choke on air,
fall upstairs,
and fall over completely nothing,
And I have that skill.

20C Partly cloudy, Yesterday was a nice warm summer day, but it looks cool and unsettled in the days ahead. Here's one from this morning when everything was falling down around me in the kitchen. "Its easy to talk to oneself and argue with oneself, but when has one ever complimented oneself?"

We are looking at another burst of rain in the SE of Qld this coming weekend with a combined total of 90 mm over 3 days. It is our dry season and rain of any kind is extremely unusual at this time of the year. It is also quite cold. Ron.

I'm not complaining,It was warm enough to go to the supermarket without a coat.so it suits me fine.
Covid is still knocking around, with 1. 7million last week, that's those who owned up of course. But it doesn't seem to be as bad as the first lot YET. Di.,Have you not got any help yet ?.........CHRIS come on man, show yourself !!!

14C Gray. I put time on the wood pile effort yesterday, will do the same again today if the biting flies let me. I need to redo the discs I made from the video I took on vacation, for some reason the sound is broken up. I'll try again using a different conversion. Video was so much easier to work with back when we used video tape.

Never ending for you either Ron .At least Buff has something to show for it when he's snuggled up in the winter.
15c here with the odd shower. Covid is still rising daily so we're waiting for panic stations. Still no sign of Chris.I just hope he's off enjoying himself with a lottery win and a lovely lady...........Di., are you OK love ?

Its the national holiday today, the airports are all in chaos, I am glad I took the trip earlier than later, the airlines scaled back their scheduals cancelling hundreds of flights through the summer leaving many without holiday trip plans. Power was off yesterday giving me another chance to run the new generator. It appears to be very fuel efficient. I will likely cut more firewood, and fight with the laptop to see if I can get it to make a disc of my trip, so far no luck.
