What is YOUR weather like today??

Crohn's Disease Forum

Help Support Crohn's Disease Forum:

14C cloudy. Another productive day yesterday having moved 3 loads of wood. I may do more later, or change it up and do some cutting and splitting. Every year is different, maybe next year it will be our turn with having dry spells, its been quite a few years since we had a dry summer. I hope it does not come down to a hose pipe ban Carol.

Our unseasonal wet continues with Tasmania recording its wettest September day ever with some areas receiving around 98mm at a time that historically has no rain. We had weekend rain but it is fine and 22c now. I probably did not need to know that Carol :) Ron.

18C sunshine. Nice day coming up, but I couldn't sleep last night and am ready for a late morning nap. Long day yesterday, went to see the dermatologist and had my forehead 'serviced' with the nitrogen frost treatment, before doing a long needed supply run.

We received advice from the weather bureau that it we are certain to face another la-nina as well as similar signs in the Indian ocean resulting in much higher summer and winter rain this coming year. Just what we needed to hear. Some scientists are concerned that after three years of these conditions it may indicate a permanent change in climatic conditions. I hope not. Ron.

A cooler 18c but a clear sunny day.Lots of rain in the south overnight.......Have just read that an average family's gas/ electric bills which would usually be under £2,000 are to rise to £5,000 + per annum starting in October. There is no way I can acconamise (spl )?
any more than I do.I've always been careful not to waste anything. We'll just have to wait and see until the bills come in as we're only speculating now.

16C showers overnight. The way things are going pretty soon people will be breaking up the furniture and tearing out the walls to heat their homes. Groceries are another thing, anyone on a working income or less is getting it from high fuel costs and food. There is a lot of misery out there, and it appears to be only getting worse. I am pushing the wood effort further this year, as I want to cut my oil bill further to use for buying food. Oil is a luxury I cannot afford, as the medical bills use up the rest.

I have really been feeling the cold the last couple of weeks. The temps have stayed around the same but the humidity in the flat never gets below 72%. It's like living in an icebox. More rain and win on the way. Another rise in the price of power this month. Ron.

18C Warm for a change. We had a bad thunderstorm after supper last evening. It was rumbling to our northwest all the late afternoon before it became full fork lightning with hard ground strikes that sounded like bombs. Then came the blast, everything went white for an instant and it shook me to my bones. It shook me up pretty good, I was trembling afterwards, while the cat slept through it all. Power went out, and once the storm passed I got the generator going while checking for damage. Luckily I found nothing. A warm day coming up, and we have had very few this season.

I feel for you Buff .I live at the base of an extinct volcano. It is much higher than the surrounding country and because of the rich volcanic soil it supports the growth of large trees. As a result when the summer storms roll off the mountains in the hinterland . We become like a war zone. There is no way you can become accustomed to instantaneous lightning and thunder. I have to make sure I have my computer and TV turned off when they hit. Our storm season will start next month. Ron.

20c and cloudy........Thought for the day.....There are 49million Kangaroos in Australia {correct me if I'm wrong Ron ) and in Uraguay there are 3; 9 million people...If kangaroos invaded Uraguay each person would have to fight 14 Roos.

Just sayin'

18C Sunny. Today is starting out like yesterday, nice with the promise of a real summer day coming up until the clouds built up around noon and then the thunder and rain. Ron, I am in a similar situation being situated high on a ridge. Either the storms skirt around us safely to the north, or they come crashing through, and like you said, there is no way of getting used to bombs of lightning wondering when the next one will hit. I use a lot of surge suppressors including one on the electric pole by the house as the soil is very thin and we have a lot of exposed bedrock making it more difficult for grounding. I have three ground rods for the electrical panel.

Carol unfortunately Roos are stroppy animals and they would spend all of their time fighting over who would lead the invasion , I don't think Uraquay has much to worry about. Buff my greatest concerns with storms is not the lightning but the fires they start. I would say that over half the bushfires in coastal Australia are the result of dry lightning strikes. Unfortunately the other half are deliberately lit. Ron.

A nice warm 19c but very breezy.......I've always been a country / outdoors girl at heart. Me and Les would rather go for a hike than go to the pub or the shops.. But that was when we were youngish and fitt-ish.
Although I envy you guys your lifestyle somewhat it's a bit of a faff really eh ? Our weather is kinder and heating etc is a flick of a switch, although like everything the cost can be a worry.

16C clearing. I went in for groceries and supplies. The stores are like a zoo on a friday when everyone is out stocking up for the weekend, but lately fridays are the best day to shop when the chances are better to find store shelves stocked with what one needs. Carol, there is not much to be envious about, I'll be glad when this cold wet summer is finally over. We have not had an August in years where the biting flies are still so thick and active, by now I am usually venturing out in the bush visiting my remote cabin, but this year not. My wheel barrow was filled with water after the last line of storms. Every year is different, last summer was quite beautiful, maybe next year.

Ah,Ron......you must have something, however small, that makes you content if not exactly ecstatic . I'm lucky to have Les of course but a good book does it for me too , and a bar of chocolate. Also nature, when she's being kind.
Another nice warm day with a cool breeze so no complaints today.

I feel the same way Ron, but as Carol said, we go on. In my case its the small things that keep me going. I don't particularly care for the day and the difficulties of the night, but the comforts of having a good supper however small it may be, and enjoying the long evenings watching shows, listening to my CDs from a life long accumulated music collection is what keeps me going.

I'm glad you both have some small pleasures in life. I really enjoy a good nights sleep. Unfortunately both my shoulders have frozen for the second time in my life. Every time I roll over in bed the pain wakes me up. I have seen specialists and there is no satisfactory treatment for the problem. Last time I waited nearly two years before they freed up. M y GP is not interested ,he just says well it won't kill you. Ron.

Bloody hell Ron,change your doctor !!! I know they're getting a bit slap happy these days, but that's disgraceful....Like Buff,I also like a good nights sleep, and I enjoy waking halfway through the night just so I can look forward to the second half.I sometimes get up and read my book and have a hot drink too. It's the little things that make me content.
19c with light occasional showers today.

I would go look for another doctor Ron, any doctor who allows a patient to live in pain should have their license pulled. Its a life of some form, but it certainly is not the same as my sister who is in Argentina, judging dogs at a dog show, or my other sister stretched out on the beach of her summer beach house. Good health and good money, in stark contrast to being stuck at home dealing with bad health in tandem with geriatrics. Well, I am not alone, we are in this together sharing the misery others take for granted.

23c.......Go to bed,get up,survive,repeat..........What keeps me going is the thought that there are so many more people worse off.
We've never held a dying child, or not had enough to eat or had to drink water infected by animal dirt.....I won't go on,you get my drift. have a good day guys.

18C, damp and gray, It can be worse, but if only there could be a break in the constant negative headwinds and have a positive time out. I cut my satelite TV last week, and now they charged me another month of service telling me it was a catch up payment for the last 30 days of service. I filed a dispute with them, but I probably will return as a customer. There is nothing on Netflix or those other streaming services of interest, most of it is old reruns, and a lot of content that appeals to the younger crowd.

It is the last week of winter here in Australia and it is finishing with a bang with heavy snow overnight in Tasmania, Victoria and the Blue mountains west of Sydney. No snow but plenty of frost in Qld. More rain on the way for many areas. It is a funny country, on the same day we had snow, frost, rain and bushfires reported from various areas of the land. Ron.

20c and bearable.....we have cable TV Buff.I've been toying with the Idea of Netflix but would probably only watch a few of the stuff offered so won't bother. We watch some documentaries and dramas which we get on catch up.I can record films etc on the cable box which is handy for late movies.Having said that we only want to watch films we've already seen so are sure they're worth recording hahaha.NO celeb stuff, cookery progs.rom-coms.....Amazing weather forecasting stone to be hung outside back door on a string.
CONDITION FORECAST
stone is wet........................rain
stone is dry.........................not raining
shadow on ground...........sunny
white on top.......................snowing
can't see stone...................foggy
swinging stone...................windy
stone jumping up and down................earthquake

12C Rain. Some of the northern parts of the country just west of Hudson's Bay are expecting snow, the first for the season while further south summer dominates. We had a slightly warmer day yesterday, I ran the airconditioner for two hours, but that is history today, if this keeps up I will light a fire in the evening. Don't bother with netflix Carol. Last night I went to watch another episode of a series I started watching only to find out it was removed from their channel lineup, I'll never know what happened and it wasn't all that interesting either.

Cold again today. Rain by the weekend. I don't have any of the movie channels . My main recreational viewing is youtbe on the computer. I watch quite a few fishing and wildlife channels. I do not watch tiktok channels and avoid twitter and facebook. Ron.

18c......we gave the car a run out to clear it's pipes and surprise surprise the sea front was rammed.Of course the schools are still on summer break and there's a holiday weekend coming up,so not that surprising really. One thing about the coast is it can be as cheap as you want it to be.People are really worried about the winter bills and the cost of living so a pic-nic on the beach can be a really good day without feeling you're depriving the kids of a happy childhood.

14C Soggy, the weather in the coming days are going to be warmer, and hopefully dry up some, lots of washouts on the roads. I cancelled the netflix, and find that there is far more on youtube including the daily national news feeds.

A bit of cloud around but not much rain so far. Still cool and frosty overnight. I saw on the news this morning that china is suffering severe heat and drought is impacting river levels particularly many with hydro electricity infrastructure. Ron.

20c and fine.I almost changed the summer duvet for the winter one as I changed the bed linen. But it's still only August so will wait until the night temps fall into single figures. It's going to be a long winter so it's no use rushing into it.

16C. I cut more wood, and soon I will need to start moving and stacking it. Given what has been cut and split, I should be good for a long winter. I finally figured out how to access some of the channels I used to enjoy and had a good evening of watching the shows I like. I may have successfully cut the cord on expensive TV and have something that is affordable.

Showers and chilly today. I am having increasing problems keeping my balance. I was at the shops yesterday and nearly fell several times. My pulse was only 49 this morning.Ron.

Overcast and humid. I had a better nights sleep again last night with fewer interuptions and less pain compared to earlier in the week when I was lucky to get 3 hours rest during the night. The warmer weather that was predicted has fizzled, now they are calling for more wet weather. That is a pretty low pulse Ron. When I go out I drink a lot of water to help with my cardio circulation to avoid an afib event. Sometimes when standing inline at the checkout I feel like I am about to faint, and I hold on to the shopping cart handle waiting for it to pass. Seems worse when standing in line than when I am moving through the aisles.

I feel the same about Di., Ron.She's always at the back of my mind.I remember a while back I mentioned that it was a worry when folk go missing as there's no way of knowing why.She sent me her Docs phone no. to call if she was awol for any lenght of time, but I think Les used the paper it was written on. Over the years there has been at least 2 dozen people on various threads I was on who have gone missing never to be heard from again.Like you I have a bad feeling about Di. and although Chris is a miss,I'm sure he's OK and will show up soon.. 18c today and lots of folk out and about due to it being the last holiday weekend of the summer

I feel the same as well, I think Chris is fine, but Di I wish her well, at some point we will all go through this and our time will be done. We will pass on and somebody else will fill the void, much like new people will one day move in to my house, change is the only constant. I can feel the seasons moving, the winds of change and some yellowing here and there, fall is not far off now, yet inside I feel like I am still waiting for the summer that never really unfolded this year, it seems like we went from spring right into fall without a proper summer.

Raining today and for the rest of the week. I found that on the cancer site I was on Carol. Fortunately most of the families were also involved on the sites and we were kept informed of the situation and losses. At least we were able to say our goodbyes. Ron.

i think Di might be struggling to find something positive to say, (as we all are), and is waiting to give us good news
Di, we'd settle for any news, please love

i know i aint got much of anything positive to say myself, just posting here to let the few people who were following my saga know im still in the fight

good luck to all y'all

Nice to see you t-bone. I know we all have those days when it's a struggle to be positive and we don't want our forum friends to think we're moaning minnies, but we understand each other and I'd rather hear a good moan than nothing at all.......17c today, just right for me.

The rain continues. We can expect to see it for another week or so with some heavy falls on the weekend. I know what you mean Buff ,if my body was a car ,I would not try to drive it as far as the local shopping centre just down the road. Ron.

Another nice day .......will it NEVER end ?.......A plus is it's getting dark at 8-30pm. Another few weeks and we can snuggle down at 5pm.Bring it on. Awful news regarding floods in Pakistan. Most of those people have nothing left.We are lucky you know.

Windy, but sunny. The evenings are stretching here too, darkness sets in at about 8pm, I like the coziness of the longer evenings that come with autumn. The firewood effort is going well, and the big motivator is the price of heating oil. I couldn't afford to heat at those prices without digging a deep hole in my remaining savings. Having said that the work is good for my cardio.

Cloudy and 18c today, took my doona off last night back to just a sheet and a light blanket. I guess that is one advantage to living where I do, no heating costs. Yes Carol it is sad to lose everything in floods when you really have nothing to lose except your lives. Ron.

A baby girl was killed by a 4ins diameter hail stone during a flash storm in Spain on Tuesday....honestly,we think things are bad with us.....The threats of high bills are growing daily here. It's almost up to £8,000 per annum for an average family now !!! Me and him are going to sit in the library when the cold weather kicks in,that's if it doesn't close because of the heating bills hahaha.
Last winter there was news of an old lady travelling all day on the bus (with her over 65 pass) just to keep warm.Looks like the buses will be full to capacity this year.

10 C clear, but very cool much like early May or October. Windy day yesterday, I ran the generator after losing power, but it was only a short outage of 3 hours. Its not uncommon for the poor to ride the bus all day during the cold months just to stay warm. We have a very large population of homeless people, and I honestly do not know how they cope when the temperatures reach the -30s. During the day they hide out in the malls, but at night everything is closed and the shelters can only hold so few.

Cloudy with showers. I head to the mall on really hot days to cool down. I have read some historical reports from western NSW at the turn of last century of people riding hundreds of miles in trains with all the windows down in severe heat waves . Ron.

I'm sure it's much easier to keep warm than it is to keep cool for any lenght of time, I've been investing in some wooly and quilted throws to snuggle into when the cold weather arrives. The thing is this...... how do I go to the bathroom without falling flat, being wrapped up all snugly ? It's no good asking you Ron,we know you're prone to the odd trip or two. I'm not poking fun at you, just saying.
21c and a lovely day today.Didn't need a coat but looking forward to doing so very soon.

14C. I moved another 3 loads of wood, and the pile by the house is starting to look pretty good, probably about 5 cords worth with more to come. That will warm the house and push back the below zero cold and allow me to walk barefoot in the house throughout the winter. Nothing more uncomfortable than a hot house in summer or a cold house in the winter.

Your right Carol ,I might have to put my mechanical skills to designing and building a set of wearable training wheels for old farts. 19c and raining here today. Ron.

Another nice day.We had a walk around the park and it was quieter than it has been the last few weeks. maybe parents / grandparents are fed up of keeping the kids amused all summer.Kids are back to school next week and only one more break until Xmas. The shops have already begun to sneak xmas crap onto the shelves. They're probably worried the cost of living and heating bills are going to be top of peoples priorities in the coming months.I don't envy the parents who have to tell the kids that no,sorry, you can't have this years new i-phone or trainers because we need to eat and keep warm.....good luck with that folks.

5C cold reality. That little thunderstorm may not have seemed much in the morning yesterday, the day got hot, but at the same time one could feel the humidity dropping while the winds picked up. I went to the ostomy clinic for maintenance, and then into the busy stores prior to this long weekend. When I got home it got noticeably cooler by the hour. I closed the windows early, it got close to the freezing mark last night after a day that was just shy of a record high. Never underestimate what can come behind a small seemingly insignificant storm. Its a cold one today, I'll cut wood later.

The rain events are not staying long but the winds would blow a dog off its leash. There is an east coast low causing minor flooding in NSW. we are cloudy with showers. Ron.

a few little showers but not enough to make a difference.Still warm though. Hoping to get the Autumn / Winter clothes out in a week or so.I've already bagged some summer gear up for the charity shops and some of Les's old stuff although he doesn't know it.I bet you guys are loath to part with old clothes eh ?

5C We had some frost last night, which is typical for the time of year. It was a fine fall day yesterday, brilliant sunshine without any wind. It was so quiet at times one could hear a pin drop, a nice change from the constant winds. Be careful Carol, what you are doing there are grounds for a nasty arguement, including creating distrust. Not worth it in my experience, I'd go out and bring in poor Les's personal property. Its these kinds of actions that have led me to live a life of solitude when one cannot trust one's partner. Parting with stuff should be a mutual agreement as one has no idea what it means personally to the other.

Honestly Buff he won't notice.I buy all of his clothes anyway AND I put his clean stuff out for the next day.I have to be honest though all his clothes are similar....jeans,joggers,hoodies ,sweaters, boots and Ts.All in a varying shade of black, depending on how many washes they've had. This is a guy who MISLAID £500 last week (In my sewing box) so I'm not living in fear of him noticing I've dumped his faded BEST hoody. hahaha

Carol I don't think I've bought more than one item of clothing in the past twenty years and i'm still wearing my 30 year old clothes. Just as well I can sew. Cool and cloudy today with rain tomorrow, ron.

I wear my clothing until its full of holes and falling apart and then repurpose them as rags. Sounds like Les wouldn't be concerned about it. The clear cool conditions continue, I made more progress on the firewood effort, when it warms up I'll work on touching up the paint on the truck before it goes in for its annual rustproofing treatment. My old underwear full of holes are great for general clean up when working on the truck.

20c with some good showers.......You're right about Les Buff,he really doesn't give a monkeys what he wears. He pretends to in case we meet folks we know and he shows me up hahaha. But really,I'm just glad he's here. When we met in the mid 60s he always wore a suit and tie and I wore minis and heels and went to the hair salon every week,,,I don't possess a dress / skirt and only wear flats now.
Much more comfortable......

14C Didn't get much done yesterday. After going at the wood for a few days I need a break. I want to make sure I have enough, nothing worse than winter kicking me in the butt for not being properly prepared. The days of dressing up have long passed, at home I spend most of the day in a housecoat, or in the case of cutting wood, nothing but underwear, and wear the chaps only when using the chainsaw for safety. Sometimes I still dress up when going out for supplies for a bit of fun, I maybe old and worn out, but not yet dead.

20c and I am sooo looking forward to cooler weather.I'm not going to worry about the heating bills because I've always been careful. What will be will be.We had a good storm yesterday afternoon lots of rain and rumblings and flashes which we haven't seen here for years. It didn't last long but the trees had a good drink. I had a little giggle about your "at home" apparel Buff....lordy I thought Les was bad...You and Ron could be related hahaha

15C Sunny, a nice late summer day coming up. I am going to do light tasks today with the good weather. Living rural where neighbors cannot see one another there is a lot of privacy. But I have shocked a few over the years who drove up the driveway to see this skinny white bearded hairy guy swinging an axe wearing nothing but underwear and the colostomy bag hanging out like the national flag. At this point in life I really don't care what they think, its the functionality that counts, its the only way I can do the work without getting hot or risk pulling the lousy bag off.

I could not agree more, whatever gets you thru the day. Another big health hub shut down in town yesterday. It is hard enough getting decent health care without the existing ones getting more crowded. It does not look like I am going to get my scope done this year as scopes are considered elective surgery. What a crock . Rain today and tomorrow . Port Augusta in the verge of the South Australian desert got smashed by massive storms yesterday. Ron.

16c with heavy showers so staying indoors today.I've been sorting the spare room ready for Scott's arrival on the 24th. It's the "chuck it in and slam the door" room. hahaha......Oh, and I've just sold Les's homing pigeon on e-bay........for the 22nd time.

Queen Elizabeth could not be faulted and as you say Ron ,a sad day .I think Charles will do a good job as King after all,he's been rehearsing for 73yrs.....16c and showery today.

The news was very sudden, when I first heard that the Queen was not well, I thought little of it. Sending my condolences to the Royal family. A gray wet day today, fitting for the mood. I wish Charles well in his new position and the world will go on.

Cloudy and cool, rain tomorrow. No major problems with my health according to my GP though he is not sure what to do about my irregular pulse and up and down BP ,he is leaving it to the nephrologist next week. Ron.

Generators can be a problem if you plug in an appliance not designed for them. I had to declare quite a few computer sewing machines dead beyond redemption when their owners tried to run them on a generator. The most spectacular failure did not involve a generator but a lady who was holidaying in n the US . She found a model of machine that was much cheaper than in Australia bought it and brought it home. When she plugged it in at home she found out the difference between 110v and 240 v appliances. Cloudy with showers today Ron.

It was only 5C this morning and I can feel it in my bones. Generators; I have never had issues from the electrical technical kind, one could say the generator almost killed me by extending my canoe trips by a lake too far. I found generators are great for camping, and I could extend both the length of the distances traveled and the season. Electric space heaters are great for heating tents, and for charging batteries that power things like electric trolling motors that move a canoe along really well. On two occassions I almost drowned while trying to return home on trips too early in the season by going too far. Nothing more terrifying than being caught up in raging whitecaps over a kilometer from shore on a large lake shortly after the ice breaks up in the spring. That trip over 30 years ago is still a vivid terrifying memory, and never again.

Rain today, Your stories bring back some unsettling memories Buff. I never had to contend with cold and ice . With me it was storms , large swells and rough seas and the ever present sharks. I often look back and wonder how i survived the best part of 50 years of regular trips offshore in small boats. Ron.

8C Today I'll pull the airconditioner unit from the window, the weather going forward is going to be fall like. Yesterday I did some touch up work on the truck, and I'll put the final coat on today or the next. Ron, you understand my inner feelings well, going out only to find oneself over one's head in serious trouble, isolated where nobody could see us or hear our plea for help. Events like these leave memories one will never forget. Very few understand the feelings of these experiences, probably because few ever survive with the odds of survival being so slim.

temps are rising steadily each day, Still getting some rain every day. My parents were always telling me that every week they expected to get a call from the Police saying I was missing or drowned. After a while they gave up worrying. Ron.

19c and a lovely day......at least now, after adventurous risky lives, you've put it behind you and are happy just to have memories. At sure Ron's happy to be at a sensible age (or maybe not ?) but not so sure about Buff.I think he still has a wild streak.
The leading cause of injury in old men is them thinking they are still young men !!!
Speaking of "wild" where's Chris ?

12C. Its cooled off with a north wind blowing. I put the airconditioner away for the season, and finished touching up the paint on the truck, it is ready to go for its annual rustproofing. These adventures start out innocently enough on a nice day, and one is then lead by the beauty of nature to go around the next bay, and a bit further, and before long it becomes the great adventure almost heavenly at times, but one slip up can turn things into a nightmare. If I didn't have a bit of a wild streak, I wouldn't be conscious. I wonder too where Chris went.

My mind still tells me what I can do ,fortunately my body tells me I can't that's why I am catching a bus to my hospital appointment today. It's about 25 kliks away and i don't feel like driving ,my pulse was only 51 this morning. It is a cloudy day with showers likely. They confirmed last week that we are in another La nina with another wild and wet year expected. Ron.

Deep inside we are in many ways still the same person when we were younger, the only real difference is that our bodies have become worn out machinery. I'm like an old truck, it will start and run, but don't try to put it into gear until the engine is fully warmed up or it will stall. That is why I don't do much in the mornings other than reading and quiet time. In the afternoons its when I do things; work or pleasure, but often a little bit of both.

16c here and ok. Ron,hope your appt. went OK.I know you're not a huge fan of the medical profession but really it's a good job they're there. We in the UK have a six and a half million back log of folk waiting for ops and first time consultations and I admit to being a bit stressed about it all. I think it's an age thing though as I never worried about health when younger. Who did ?
Buff,I'm the opposite.I do all that needs doing in the morning or it doesn't get done. That's despite or probably because of the many bathroom visits hahaha

Awful day. I spent 1hr 42 on the two buses down to my appointment. I only just made it to the loo on the way down .I was terrified i was going to crap my pants and very nearly did. Same on the way home i had to run to a shopping mall between busses and again only just made it again. It is terribly depressing to no longer be master of your own destiny and there is no answer to it. My kidneys are ok but my joints are all shot . He was talking about putting me back on cyclosporine to ease the pain but i said it was no better when i was on the. drug. I have to have a holter monitor test to find out what's going on with my pulse. In the mean time we have a rain event coming thru. Ron.

Wet day, with rain warnings for 100 mm of rain. It was a busy afternoon yesterday and I managed to get what I wanted to be done ahead of the bad weather. Today I'll just hibernate. Us chronies have many stories to tell about trying to make it to the loo; If anyone looked at the worn path to the outhouse from my home would believe that at least six people are living here.

Ah, Ron,I really feel for you. We've all been in that situation. I was just reading about a woman trying to get to work and her travel pass jammed in the machine.Despite having ID etc .the staff refused to let her through even when she told them she had crohns and had cards to prove it and needed the toilet.Of course she had an accident, in front of a crowd of rubber neckers.Poor soul.
It's a stressful disease that's for sure, and you in particular don't need more stress. Anothe nice day at 16c but I've caved in and put the winter bedding on.It's definately cooler at night now.

I reckon one day the local shopping centre will start charging me for all the loo paper I go thru down there. It does not matter how many times i go to the loo before I leave home if i have a meal at the cafe i am forced to use the centre loo before i leave to go home. I should be about seven stone. It is raining today and off and on for most of the weekend. Ron.

8C Wet and gray. Its getting to the point where I have to light the fire each evening to warm the place up. A lot of rain has fallen and more is expected over the next two days. Its definitely a challenge for Chronies when we step out. On my first stop I always need the loo, after than anything can happen, its not uncommon to make more than one trip to the loo at the grocery store. It always seems to want to happen when waiting in line at the check outs, and that is the place where I feel my heart wanting to do something weird. One has to be careful not to let the colostomy get too full. Showers but no heavy rain so far. NSW is flooded once more ,this time around the Dubbo area. People around Lismore are still doing it tough Many are still without accommodation and to make matters worse three health care outlets in the area have shut down. Ron.
