What is YOUR weather like today??

Wa still on fire in the SW but apparently under control (as any wildfire can be). High 20c here and still high humidity. I think it is starting to effect people, everyone has lost their sense of humour, still have mine but it has gone a bit mouldy. Ron.

Wa is still cooking ,Perth 42 again today. Fires aren't out but are under control. We have a low forming in the Coral sea , could be our first cyclone of the season on the east coast. Predictions are that it will not head west . We will wait and see. Sorry that you are not well Di I know how you feel. As the targin dose drops my pain is increasing dramatically. I still need to use laxatives for the opiate induced constipation. Now I am spending half a day with C and the second half with D . I would prefer neither but I doubt that is ever going to happen. Hugs ron.

3c but sunny right now. Missed out on updates yesterday not sure why.
Sandy maybe i should join you with my foggy brain.. thats if i still actualy have one.. im becoming less convinced of that each day :rof:

still hot in the west ,38 today. We had a humid 30c today and a few showers. The low is still wandering around the coral sea deciding if it will become a cyclone. we don't really need one. Ron.

4c,blue cloudless sky and sunny of course.Going for a cycle but as the sun is still low in the sky,I'll have to wear a visor under my helmet. Not complaining though.

31 c today, cloudy and humid. ran into my cousin in the supermarket yesterday. he looked like a pirate complete with eyepatch. Apparently he has a tumour behind his left eye. They have had his eye out three times . They are using an irradiated piece of metal behind his eye to treat the tumour. Then he told me his eldest daughter (mid forties) had colon cancer and now she has secondaries in her lungs and has under six months left. What a healthy gene pool I come from . Ron.

That is sad Ron. My gene pool isn't much better.
It's getting even smoggier, and this "even smoggier" will probably be a recording the next few days.

Sad news Ron.You know your crohnie family are here for you.

Jack Frost paid a visit during the night, but he's scarpered now the sneak.
2c and cloudy (ish)

Cousin Bill has had a pretty rough life. he was in the Australian Airforce for many years. he was having one of his regular service medicals when the doctor noticed green flecks in his eyes. Tests dxed Wilsons disease. It is a rare hereditary disease similar to hemochromatosis but instead of iron the body stores copper. It has wrecked his life and come close to killing him on several occasions. Now he has to watch his daughter die. Life sucks sometimes.. Very humid today it got to 30 c and we had a few showers. Last week we had no cyclones now we have two out in the Coral sea. One has moved closer to us than models indicated so the winds will ramp up but we won't see much rain,. Ron.

Hugs, Ron, that is sad news. Don't know if it's any help but some people swear by bicarb of soda treatment, along with totally sugar free diet, and others look to B17, laetrile (spelling might be wrong), they also use bitter apricot kernels, I have no idea if they work but if and when all else fails, they might be worth a try. Good luck surviving that gene pool. My family's isn't any better either.

Same weather here, Carol, frosty start, bit cold but sun came through and we've had a good few sunny days. Makes all the difference to how your mood is. Mines been good these few days. I even wrote in my diary, 'it feels like spring arrived'. Just that feeling along with my cats deciding to spend more time outdoors and a few birds just collecting twigs to take up into the trees in my neighbours garden, the ones that are just going to be lopped down. Hope its before nesting.

When I sold real estate for a few years, I had a client with Wilson's disease. I saw her go thru a lot in the short time that I knew her. At the time I was going thru some neurological testing myself, including for Wilson's disease, and was very happy when I was told that was not the problem. I really feel for him.
I think I'm going to move to England for the weather. Spring sounds nice right now.
It's smoggier again.

Yes Di and sandy I always suspected cancer may have been in Dad's side of the family but now it seems like it may have been my mothers. sadly sharron is in hospice and the end is near. She is divorced and has two teenage daughters. They are a close family and it will be hard for them. Seems our family get togeathers are always at funerals. Very windy today ,28c and expected to get windier . They don't think the cyclone (Tatiana) will impact the coast, just wind and swell. Ah well the surfers will all be happy. Ron.

 Ron praying for you n your family.💕
Sandy pack your bags, you can stay here with me. Dont forget to bring Doug n Allie☺

With the wind off the cyclone the temp only reached 26c today. the cyclone is about 200 kiks east of us at the moment and heading south. It is stirring up a heavy swell and strong E/SE winds but not much rain . They think it will revert from a cyclone back to a low tomorrow. I think they also said the southern oscillation is also changing from El Nino to neutral so we may get a lot more late summer rain. Ron.

-30C this morning, its going to perhaps be the coldest night of the winter. Wood furnace is hungry, but the house is warm as I sit here in a Tshirt. Visits to the outhouse are fresh and invigorating. I stand there with the warmth of the sun on my back and crisp cold dry air in front. I have to be quick as my colostomy bag becomes stiff in the cold. I built the outhouse many years ago after the colostomy operation because of the mess and odors, no need to elaborate, if you live with the bag you know what I mean.

This afternoon I will go for another crosscountry ski over the property and up the beaver ponds. Beautiful day, bright sunshine, winter at -22, dress right and its wonderful.

Sunny and cold but threatening clouds above (obviously)
Met.warnings of snow and -15c but they are sometimes prone to exaggeration.

Bufford, I enjoy your posts,oh how the other half live.Between you and our Ron in Australia,I think you have the extreme weather covered.

just had a pathetic snow shower but the sun's out again.Going to walk down to the Sunday craft market. It's under cover,Victorian railway station, glass and wrought iron roof.
I'd rather be ski-ing in Canada though.

Sunny tomorrow and 33c. Not what I need. Heap of work came in late last week so I have to go in. I gave up on the pain yesterday and took a nsaid before I went to bed. This morning my BP was 111/76. Amazing what pain can do to you and what a lack of it can do. Ron.

Cold again, but very sunny. Does make me feel better. Sounds good up there, Carol.
Ron, we all feel for you. Don't bust a blood vessel with all that extra work.

Not as cold today -18 with sunshine. Yesterday I went and skied the lower part of the ski trail in the fresh winter air. Today I might go further, usually the whole 5 kilometers is worked in, but this year I have to go easy with my hips. I find that this really helps with my Crohn's, gentle movement and fresh air are like a treatment in themselves.

Forecasters got it right for today, not even seven am and already it is hot and steamy. Ron.

Oh Ron try n keep cool mate. I should send you a fan hat to keep you cool. Has anyone invented one of those yet ? If not maybe i should. 💕

Oh now its minus 1 well i know its cold when the radiator in my bedroom comes on as its set at its lowest just to keep it from freezing up in winter..

Awful weather , hot and sticky. I take my ventolin everywhere. It gets so hard to breathe at times. Never sure if it's asthma until I try to exhale all the air in my lungs and it just ends in a big wheeze. It is a bit sneaky asthma it doesn't always make its presence known till you have a full on attack , by then there is no mistaking it. Ron.

Ron lad you take care in that weather mate. We are at minus 2c here wish i could post you some cold to cool it down for you.

It's smoggier today. Again. I've been using my Ventolin myself. And I think I have the flu in addition. Can't win.

Right thats it ..im coming to rescue you Sandy and Ron from your weather...pack your bags il be there shortly. ☺
Sandy you take care with that naughty smog hun 💕

Now Sandy what are we to do with you !!!. How very dare you get the flu, keep warm n cozy drink plenty of fluids and rest. There now doctor Mandy has spoken 😃lol...so get better soon. Much loves hun💕💋

HHMMMM sunshine sucks, 36c predicted today with the possibility of it reaching 38c . Perth is back up to 40c. Most of the towns in central Qld are high 30's to mid 40's. It was supposed to be sunny today but it has started out overcast. I think the humidity has just solidified. Ron.

Hugs Mandy , I have been asleep all day , had to come home from work with loo issues ie if I am upright it falls out. Nothing like spending the day in bed with mid thirty temps. Got up at 5.30pm . Upright ....off to the loo. Not a happy camper. Still hot and humid and the same tomorrow. Ron.

Oh dear Ron, sorry you are having such trouble with the toilet issues today. I had a similar day Friday or Saturday!! Crohn's brain strikes again. Managed to get through work just.. Came home and collapsed in a heap totally shattered. It sure wears you out eh..
Hope you feel better soon my friend. :hug :
Sunny and cold here today

I took some questran this afternoon. It is so hard to balance the bile salt mal absorption against the opiate induced constipation now that the oxy dose is getting lower. When I left work this morning I had a blackout. I got in the car and it was so hot that was it black butterflies. Horrible feeling. It was hot and sticky in bed even with a fan right on me. I hope the questran helps.. Only 30c tomorrow but humidity is going to be around 60%. I will see how I feel in the morning if I go to work or not. I only have around two sick days a year so the boss can't really complain... Ron.

Sending you my support Ron.I really don't know how you function at all, never mind go to work and struggle with your insides and other problems.
It's very cold but dry today.I walked into town and the chilly breeze nearly did me in,but luckily it was at my back on the way home.

It's smoggier again today. Storm is on the way to clean the air though in day or two, YAY! Have some blood in my sputum this morning, going to doc later today. Going back to bed myself for now.

Ron if your boss complains send him/her to me. Il give them something to complain about 😆 you take care Ron
Sandy hoping the storm comes and clears that smoggy smog away. Hope its nothing to bad hun have you been coughing alot with this smog . That may have caused a burst blood vessel. Take care my lovely..💕💋
4c n raining ☔

The down side to spending most of the day in bed is spending most of the night in bed awake , thank goodness for ipods and earphones. The questran seems to have worked so I will go to work. 30c today but a heavy overcast, I think it is a front passing thru, it is going to be very humid. Ron.

It's official, in spite of having the flu shot earlier this year, I officially have the flu and a secondary sinus infection with bronchitis. The asthma doesn't help the coughing either. The good news is that some of the bad air got washed away in a little rain today, the temps are making it up into the 50s for the next little while, and a bigger rain storm is coming on Wednesday/Thursday to finish cleaning the air. I do believe spring is here. It's uphill from here. Happy days.

Take care Sandy, are you on immune-suppressants at the moment? they can turn a flu into hell on earth. I have nephrotic syndrome in my kidneys , untreated I usually lose between two and three grams of protein a day thru my urine. About two years ago I caught para influenza. It is a kids flu and so wish washy that it does not produce enough antigens to be vaccinated against. It hit me so hard my heart was leaking troponin the heart attack enzyme and my protein loss was well over seven grams a day. A rotten kids flu nearly killed me. I just worry when some one with auto immune problems gets a flu, there are always complications so please stay on top of it ,Hugs Ron. Hot hot night with humidity at 80% and the overnight low 26c. feels like you are breathing under water. Ron.

SB7, we're all on our way over.
Ron, early retirement seems the best thing for you. Don't think I could struggle on with those issues.

Sleet, freezing and not feeling well either. Days like this I get sick of cold liquid feed. I could do with a really hot meal.

Come on...although I'll warn you, hurricane season is right around the corner. Really makes you appreciate the good days!

Take care Sandy, are you on immune-suppressants at the moment? ... para influenza ... A rotten kids flu nearly killed me. I just worry when some one with auto immune problems gets a flu, ...

Wow, Ron, you've really run through it all, haven't you? No, I'm not on immuno suppressants, but I seem to catch everything. I caught the H1N1 a few years back, came down with it on Thanksgiving day when I was hosting a large family dinner. My elderly barely capable mother had to prepare the meal at my house and I exposed everyone before I knew what I had. Thankfully, no-one else caught it. I did develop an allergy to azithromycin at the time which caused my throat to swell partially shut, that was scarey. My honey Doug who takes humira doesn't get anything it seems. It still amazes me how fast and hard the flu can hit. Tho not on immuno suppressants, I seem to have a weak immune system, have caught a wide variety of infections and am actually on long term antibiotics at the moment, which unfortunately do not cover the flu, and do have instructions from my doc to go right back if I get worse in any way.
Weather wise, at least a storm is blowing in tonight to finish cleaning the pollution out of the air. The temps are a lot more pleasant around here too. It's getting quite spring-like. We should have highs in the fifties for the next foreseeable time. I wish I could send some of our cool air your way Ron.

Wishing all pleasant temps and good health.

Come on...although I'll warn you, hurricane season is right around the corner. Really makes you appreciate the good days!

I'm glad we don't live in a hurricane prone area, but it sure would be nice to live next to or close to the ocean. Enjoy!

I'm about an 1 hour and a half from the coast.
While not experiencing the joys of living on the coast, I still get the benefits of hurricanes and of course sun cancer. I guess wherever you live we all take the good with the bad.

Hope everyone has a wonderful and pain free day.

SB7, we in the UK have just started naming our storms. We only knew one hurricane. It was disastrous, all we could do was listen to it and wait for it to go. The damage it did was devastating. Stay safe.
Raining heavily now, not so cold though.

I'm glad that they are taking care of you Sandy and yes Di I would love to retire ,I'm already on the age pension (over 65) my boss just won't let me. I have to be careful of the flu as I am on cyclosporine twice a day. I get flu shots but I wonder how effective they are. I guess I am lucky to be alive and lucky to be where I live, ten minutes to the beach and five minutes to the closest boat ramp. It is still hot, at 7 am it is 26c sunny and 82% humidity. Another hot sticky day in paradise .Hugs to all Ron.

After 10.00pm temp around 27c 80% humidity. Nearly time to begin the battle to sleep. The forecaster said things may not change for over a week. We are stuck in a pattern like the doldrums. Except we get storms every night. It is HOT. Ron.

Hope everyone's day is a good one.
Starting off a little cool this morning at 41F but should be a carbon copy of yesterday, sunny high in upper 60'sF.
Great weather today, and my stitches come off my bottom lip tomorrow. Good stuff.

Forecast high of 29c , humidity 82 %. Mostly cloudy and thunder storms predicted for most of the day. It isn't raining but it might as well be. Ron.

Well, our forecasters were wrong (again). They were correct that a storm would (did) blow in (with micro bursts of over 100 mph:eek2:), but the temps that were supposed to stay in the fifties with the "rain" ended up being one cold snowstorm (after the lightening and thunder display). The day ended with beautiful blue skies, and a lot warmer again, tho, and a beautiful sunset.☺

1c,and sunny at the moment, but who knows what will occur later I am in the uk after all, often have all four Seasons in one day here ☺

Again a frosty start, but very sunny. So pleasing, if only we could have clear skies and sunshine like this in summer. Rarely happens. Maybe this year.

Ditto here early on,but starting to cloud over now.I think rain is forecast for later.
We might go for a bike ride while we can.

Storms forecast for most of the night. It is not raining at the moment but temps are still in the high twenties at 10pm and humidity at 80%. I had to spray my bedroom with glen twenty to try and kill all the mould. No wonder my asthma is playing up. I may have to add another fan to the bedroom tonight. Ron.
