Yes, she has interest natural treatments. She has done a lot of travelling since leaving school. Health has been pretty good.

Her crohn's disease is pretty much silent. Puts up with a lot of pain. Had colonoscopy in January, no real symptoms of pending trouble. It led to further testing and 50 cm bowel removed during the COVID-19 elective surgery shut down.

Lovely and sunny again. Watering the garden a bit. I've got a hedgepig sleeping in the hay bag again.

Well, i've had the letters through from doc. Seems they have put me on End of Life Care Register! Oh well, bit of a punch in the face seeing as all bloods are fine. Never mind. I'll phone my Macmillan nurse on Monday. Gonna get some vit D from the sun now.

Had a walk in the park.Lovely sunshine but a pretty cold breeze is still coming off the sea down from Norway/Sweden.
The blossom on the Cherry trees was fluttering down like gentle snowflakes and bluebells are pushing up in place of the daffs.Life goes on....
 
Hang in there Di, the healthcare system is painting patients with an awfullly broad brush by making claims like this. We are all unique, and we have our strengths. I remember my doctor making the claim that I would have 10 good years before serious complications would set in, well its closing in upon 20 years now, and I am alive, kicking and the smoke coming from my chimney comes from my own work of cutting and heating with wood.

Today is another real spring day with temps rising into the teens. The rabbits; snowshoe hares are changing their colors from white to brown now.
 
Looking really good today. Not me, but the weather. I'm going to enjoy it before Autumn returns next week. I think i'll go for a drive around somewhere different today. I fancy getting out, see some different scenery. The rapeseed fields are looking ok now too. Actually feeling brighter this morning. I always seem to take a bit of a dive when bad news strikes. I just wish there was water for me to dive into, lol. Head back up, i can still walk tall, even at 5 feet. Maybe i shall put my heels on, or maybe that should be heals. Enjoy your day everyone.
 
Us too Carol , if things continue to dry out we could finish up the same as 2019. We were supposed to get some rain today .Nothing. Next chance is next Tuesday but I will believe that when I see it. Take care out on the road Di, We have had some dreadful crashes over here in the last week. Ron.
 
No sign of blue skies and sunshine here. The land needs that rain, and it will refreshen everything nicely and help grow everything on. Very little need for heating now too. I wish we could get signs of proper dropped numbers of dead. Time is dragging badly.
 
No rain and still cold.I might have to get the old winter woolys out again.We've had a surge in idiot speeders too Ron but one of our MPs said we'd had a drop in shop lifting ,perhaps that's got something to do with the fact the shops are shut ????
we are in excess of 20,000 deaths in the UK.not including care home sand still folk are wanting the lock down lifted.
 
I think we only had six new cases in the entire country overnight. Wa is allowing groups of up to 100 I think from next week but I again I think it relates to family groupings. Their borders both state and internal regions remain closed. Bit of rain tomorrow then our first taste of cool next weekend. I may have to dig thru the cupboard and try and find a blanket ,I rarely use them now days. Ron.

We have the same situation here too, and people are not allowed to go camping on crown land. This doesn't make any sense as these activities spread people far and thin and gets them out. Perhaps more seriously is the importance of maintaining good mental health; and getting out into nature goes a long ways to maintain happiness and optimism.
Cut wood yesterday afternoon, it felt good and I got some needed sun on my arms and legs. Today its gray, +7 and expecting some rain.
 
Possibility of some showers this afternoon followed by colder weather. One of the upsides of covid19 and the social distancing is that we are experiencing our lowest incidence of flu virus cases for many years. It is hard to find plusses at the moment but that is one. It will be interesting to see what impact the cooler weather brings. I nearly said colder but realistically high single figures celcius overnight is about as cold as we get tho some times the wind chill from strong SE winds makes it seem worse. Ron.
 
Scott says it's 8c where he is.He's planning on taking his younger daughter camping this weekend,for a birthday treat,she's 14,but it's probably more for him.Australia is allowing socialising in packs of 10,as long as it's family.

Same here Carol , cold front coming thru with some rain in the next couple of days and night temps down to 8 c by Sat. Only one thing I hate more than dealing with Telstra I have to get some spares from Cpap direct tomorrow. The last mask they sold me was garbage and now they have supposedly found some spares for my old mask. I had a sad moment at the chemist today , I finally gave in and bought a walker, one with the four wheels and brakes and a seat. They have taken all of the seats out of the shopping centre. After doing my shopping I was able to sit down and let the pain subside. The saleslady at the chemist said I should buy it , if I feel that bad at seventy I am not going to be any better at seventy five. Fair call. Ron.
 
Bugger that Ron,I think you've done the right thing.I often look longingly at those walkers.Les says I should buy one but I'm a wee bit vain and pride myself on looking and behaving at least 15yrs younger than my age....despite my back screaming for a sit down.I know I'm a daft old bint.Enjoy your self but no speeding mind.
 
It was 1c this morning. The sun has come out now and we're heading in the right direction... 6c at the present time. Carol, a booney or boonie hat is the type that soldiers wear in the jungles. They have a brim all the way around and shade your head, protect from bugs as well as keeping water out of dads hearing aids.
 
Maybe it will be something that comes and goes. Periodically my hip hurts so bad I have to resort to using a cane, and then it goes away for several months, sometimes longer, this has been going on for several years now. When it does hurt, its difficult using the stairs and having to feed the wood furnace. If it gets to the point where I cannot get around at all without a cane I will be forced to move into a place without stairs.

I can relate, mother is having similar issues, Buff. Her pain tends to come and go, so we tend not to think it's the femoral cap that the issue. It may be a lower back issue with deferred pain in her case. I, personally, think she needs a chiropractic adjustment. All the best to you folks. It's sunny and 20c at the moment. Cheers!
 
Not a bad day but no sun and breezy.We had a walk to the park and found ourselves on a path we don't normally take.We were surrounded
by lush greenery and birdsong and not a soul to be seen.We're so lucky having this park just over the road from home but having grown up here we tend to take it for granted.It's the same with the river and the coast......Dianne,I read that hedgies are doing well this year due to less traffic and also the fine weather is encouraging them to have two litters.Better get your stores in.
 
I couldn't agree more, Buff. We should have cheap gas and hydro electric. Instead we sell it to, "Murica" for less than we pay!? I like the Americans, but that's just a touch too much. Fair pricing for us in Canada would be a dream come true.
It's a calm, yet rainy one here and 9c. Looking on the bright side of things... it sure does help with the water bill.
 
Some one left the fridge door open last night. The southern alps in Victoria and NSW had a good dusting of snow yesterday and strong winds. The cold front reached Qld overnight with some strong Sw winds. The winds are loaded with dust and I have been sneezing non stop this morning. That is the norm for me I take25mg of phenerghan morning and night and use a nasal spray morning and night. In the current environment it can get you treated like a leper. I just tell people if it was corona I would be dead. Ron.
 
No notifications again! I thought it a tad odd, though i've received notifications for the joke thread. Odd.

Better weather today. Still cloudy and threatening rain, nature has responded with extra green shoots on aall trees and plants. My wisteria looks to be a purple one. the flowers are just opening now. I sent off for a kg of live mealworms for the birds and hedgies and my god, they had missed having those. Nowhere had any for ages. Robin is delighted with the constant supply (lazy sod).

Our summer has def gone. It's chilly out there. I might attempt a tad my garden clearing today, but i think i'm gonna stay in the warm and watch youtube videos.

Sometimes, i think i could do with getting in a bloody wheel-chair, my pride won't let me and if it comes to that i shall stop going out entirely. but Ron, you get that push along seat. A few of my friends use those on days out to places and national trust properties. they always like a sit down. personally, i can't do without seats out in public either. Our seats are fine here, but no bloody loo open anywhere. Best stay in. buff is gonna be sweatin' it out with all those cords to chop. The hard work will start soon. Enjoy today everyone, but stay safe.
 
You are not wrong Di, if I had to chop that much wood to stay warm I would almost certainly freeze to death. I am getting used to the wheelie walker. The brakes are savage , I've almost been over the handle bars once. The other problem is that people with shopping trolleys use you for target practice. I may have to arm it. Down to single figures in the morning and a strong west to south westerly wind. Ron. WE are backing off on restrictions tomorrow. We can even travel a max of 50 kilometres as long as there is only two adults plus children. I think Qld only had one or two new cases all week and none today . WA northern territory and ACT have had none overnight. Govt is being very cautious. They are doing mass testing and if figures spike in the next two week things will get strict again.
 
I remember my scooter Ron, almost went over the handle bars on that a couple of times. I too would probably do the same with a wheelie walker. Times i've been out and my legs have swollen, gone very weak and hurt like mad and no place to sit often kept me in for fear of not being able to get home again. the arthritis plays up still, but i do appreciate if i can get out. Mind, i'm better taking painkillers before i go out and exert myself. I bet you're enjoying that single figure temp for now, lol. I think we have Carol's sort of weather today.

It's a lovely day with blue sky and sunshine. Went for a bike ride along the river and there was a really cold brisk breeze off the sea.Lots and lots of cyclists and walkers and kids and dogs.You could tell some weren't locals 'cos they were wearing t-shirts and shorts.Purple is not a good colour for legs.Especially wobbly ones...……..Di. how about getting a shooting stick then you could plant yourself in the flower beds for a sit down.You can tell I've thought about it.....
 
A summer like day coming up, as its actually warm this morning, the kind of warmth where there is no chill, it should reach the 20's today. I cut quite a bit of wood yesterday, arthritis in my hands finally forced me to stop. As I see it, there is no choice but to buckle down and work through the wood. The pay off is huge, I have a warm house where I can be comfortable without having to wear and layer up clothing, sweaters and still be handed a heating bill going well beyond $3,000, probably more like $4500 for the comfort level I need. The thing is that money is needed for groceries, medications and other basics. My standard of living would be very poor without wood heat as my income does not even meet the federal definition of the poverty line, yet I am forced to pay all the regular taxes and costs of living that come with owning one's home and keeping a vehicle on the road. I could not imagine life in a cramped apartment, no vehicle and eating crappy food like many others have to do on that income level.
 
Wow, expensive heating Buff. I couldn't afford that. I'd have to find a bear to snuggle and hibernate with lol.

Really sunny again. Lovely weather. Should i venture out and see if i can buy a bird table. I fancy another as i've just moved the one in my back garden near to my kitchen window. Can't believe they come so close. Jackdaws haven't ventured there but the starlings have. I have a blue tit that isn't afraid to come feed too. It's so i thought i'd buy one for my lounge window. I know the pet store is open as it's next to the chemist lol.
 
13c and the chilly breeze has gone.We were promised showers this week, but nothing so far.We could really use a downpour, the soil in thtake e flower beds at the park is dry and deeply cracked and the new bedding plants are seriously wilted. The goldfish in the park pond,including
two of ours,have risen to the surface,so it must be warmer.They are a good size,about eight or more inches but are staying in the reeds as the gulls know they are rich pickings.Hope you got your feeder Di. we had to take ours down as the pigeons were taking over and the neighbours were whinging.We have stuff hidden in the climbers and shrubs though.
 
I understand your situation Buff , I find it the same here. People look at a lot of the things I do and they ask why don't you just pay someone to do that for you. The short answer is that I know how to do the things I am doing . I may physically struggle to do some of those things but my only income is the age pension and I can't afford to pay someone else to do those things. I recently had a situation where my home phone and telephone service was out. I had to use the services of an ombudsman to try and get technical help. I was visited by a tech but it was no help. I subsequently worked on it myself. I was able to resurrect my modem and found a faulty micro switch in my phone. Both are running ok now. That does not make me a tech genius merely a little more self sufficient than most.. Our weather is cool , clear and very windy. It is also very dry. Because my unit is set into the side of a hill I suffer from heat in summer but I'm well insulated in winter and I'm fortunate I don't need any heating. The temp at my computer never drops below 20c. Ron.
 
It's a throwaway society now too.The younger generation wouldn't dream about repairing anything,just throw it out and buy a new one,usually with the "plastic".And they upgrade everything at the drop of a hat so that they can keep up with the neighbours / friends.

By keeping things going one can save a lot over the long term, I always look at what life will be like years down the road rather than life in the moment and live it as such, if I did not I would be broke. My cell flip phone is 7 years old, but to me it still like new, and heck my microwave oven goes back to 1981 and still runs like a champ. With snow on the ground for over 6 months of the year, heating bills are large, there's nothing like the warmth that comes with wood heat.
Today the weather took its usual setback, Flurries with temps just above freezing.
 
Bit of a glum day here today. the sort of weather i'd whinge about but Carol would love. No sun, no rain, not very warm and a bit drab at best. I got my bird table and i'm chuffed with it. Now just need to get the birds used to the strange thing in the garden. Maybe it smells of new wood or something. So far they've just used all that i have and ignored my efforts to please them. Unfortunately it's probably big enough for jackdaws to get on so i might hammer some wire around that will only allow small birds in to it.

So have you put your fish in the park pond, or am i miss reading that, Carol? I love ponds with fish in. Haven't seen my fish as my pond is a disgrace. I had hoped to get it professionally cleaned but now we have lockdown. Nothings getting done. Ron, i'm not that old but the arthritis in my hands has me cursing and taking ages to get done. Tis a right old problem but i still try to do things for myself as it was natural when young. Our mums and dads and other relatives showed us plumbing, basic electrics and how to fix things. I cannot believe how the young of today do throw their new toys out their prams simply because newer exists. They are trashing this planet far more than us oldies.

Can't believe it's May already. I want to see some of this year. I shall be whinging far more about lockdown and how depressing it is rather than the British weather for once. I hear rain pounding down. Obviously we shall have a good soaking (i hope) over night to water our lovely plants and give wildlife a good refill, mind, i always have bowls around my feed stations.
 
We have had few cold days here Melbounre. I got sacked from giving injecrions after two days and her boyfriend took over. They actually let me into hospital to learn how to give the injection.

22 cases dx in Victoria over night. 19 linked to the meat works cluster. 2 overseas travel and 1 of unknown origin. We have been very lucky so far.
 
I bet that trumped up the ego of the boyfriend, lol. I''d be too squeamish. I managed humira pen for a while but i didn't enjoy it one bit. Sad you still have a few cases, but brilliant to hear that you've done way better than most nations. God knows when we can return to normal.
 
Hugs Catherine, I hope things are going ok with your daughter. I hope we continue to remain lucky. I'm not sure I will be climbing out of my foxhole real soon. Stay warm down there we only copped the tail end of the cold front up here. I've never seen so much snow so early on the Alps. Ron.
 
It feels pretty warm here today,but you know me,someone's just got to strike a match and I break out in a sweat.Seroiusly considering putting the summer duvet on the bed,but Les is still feeling the cold due to his cancer treatment...May the 4th be with you my friends...
 
Sunny with a chill in the air, temps went down to -5C overnight and they are calling for a week of below normal temperatures, but at least the rain and snow are holding off. I watched the movie called 'Planet of the humans' very interesting and a wake up call. I fully understand where they are coming from with the biomass energy problem given how our forests have become tree stump deserts.
 
Lovely and sunny again this morning. I'm really loving this phase of Spring sunshine. It does seem to happen that we get a few good weeks of sunshine in March or April and this year is one of those. Shame people can't go on their holidays and enjoy it. Tourism is taking a mega hit from this pandemic. My happiness is taking a bit of a battering too. Would just love to go out and about with friends, even just a National Trust place, but no, it's a question of stay home. At least i have a garden. I think that on the 8th of May our street will have the socially distanced street party for VE day 75 years. Should be fun lol.
 
WE are expecting some rain tomorrow and around 25c , it is only getting down to 14c overnight. Back to sleeping with just a sheet. Had to do a bit of grocery shopping and a visit to the chemist. The wheelie walker was good. I had to sit down three times but it is simple when you have your own chair. I got a letter from the hospital to have my cardiac revue. I always go in and they do an ecg and sometime an echo. I was going to ask why I am constantly leaking troponin , the heart attack enzyme. When I was in hospital for it they rang my heart specialist and he was not interested. Obviously nothing has changed with him as he has scheduled me for a phone consult. At least it will give be a chance to hang up on him. Ron.
 
I have cut a lot of wood in the past week, 3 full bush cords processed so far which is a bit more than half of the heating season's worth. Going to keep at it while I am on top of my game. Moving and piling it is another thing, but that will come later. Cold last night at -4C, clear skies, cool and good for wood cutting.
 
I'm waiting in for postie today. It's beautiful out there again. I feel so spoilt with good weather but we can't go anywhere other than local. My garden is becoming bigger by the day as i heave back the overgrowth and ivy. the brambles have been bad too lately. Probably as i did very little last year what with being in pain and chemo and all that everything went by the wayside. It's looking slightly better though which is spurring me on whilst we have something of a Summer, lol.

I could do with a good old journey out with these cobalt skies and no clouds, but lets hope it stays until after lockdown. We're officially the worst in Europe now. Stay safe everyone.
 
Worst in Europe and second worst in the World...How are they (govnt) going to wriggle out of that then ? I hope they don't think a (sincere) apology will suffice....Lovely day here but still a chilly breeze.Temps rising 'til the weekend then maybe snow in the North early next week.
 
Thought I had better check the board, I haven't had any notifications for a while. Sounds like every things going fine, woods a chopping ,mack is easy riding. I have done very little it has been quite warm, 27 c tomorrow. The pollen ,grass seeds or dust are playing merry hell with everyones hay fever. They tell us if we even have a minor runny nose , sniffle or cough , go and get tested. I'd be going every day. We are officially coming out of lock down. We can travel up to 50 kliks ,picnic ,go fishing or boating. People are even allowed to go and see their mothers on mothers day. First stage of the letdown will last 4 weeks, then they will review it and do two more stages at 4 week intervals. All the best Ron.
 
Its cold, -6C overnight and they are forecasting flurries later. The weather people claim a piece of the polar vortex has moved into the area and bringing some polar air with it. Everyday I have been putting in the afternoon on the wood pile and the work is showing. Then I can service the snowmobile and put it into storage. Got to do these things before the blackflies emerge. Good to hear you had a good ride on the bike Chris. They are starting to lift the restrictions a little bit at a time, my big concern is that it is still too early.
 
another lovely day. Naughtily spent most the day chatting to neighbours not 2 meters apart. Not that they go out either. We are all sick of it.

Carol, apparently Bude is exactly the same. The tourists have arrived with visible camping stuff. Some got sent home lol. I nipped to Tesco for a few bits and have only just got back. It's busier than i had imagined! (I don't mean i was there all day! It's just everyone is obviously going after 8.30 thinking it will be quiet. It's not). Tomorrow will be lovely weather, so Carol will not be on her bike, although i think we too are getting the Arctic Blast next week. I put my winter bedding away yesterday, typical.
 
Ah, Chris, doesn't matter whether you peddle, patter you feet or use some kind of horse power. Tis nice to get out and go somewhere other than the local roads. Hope you had the road to yourself. The birds are lovely this time of year. I love watching birds pick nesting materials. I'm actually watching a live feed on fb/youtube, and nasty male Blue Tit has taken two wives. They both fight like mad to sit on the eggs. It's so sad. Last year i watched a very similar circumstance but they had created themselves a cup in the nest each. Tis hard for the daddy bluey but serves them right.

Got my flags up on display, wanted to do the 2 mins silence, neighbour turns up and chats like mad. Missed it, lol.

It's going to be 24C, please take note world, we don't often see 24C even in the British Summer.

Some people have no respect as we all know.They come up behind you and then are quite happy to let you step into the road to allow them pass safely !!! Got home with a back ache,gut ache,sore feet with the heat,and sweat running in my eyes.So all in all a really nice day....Bring on the rain.
 
Pleasant weather, highs of 27 lows of 15c. Warm northerly for the next couple of days then a cooler SW change. In a few weeks I may be able to go on a fishing holiday Ron.
 
Intermittent storm clouds passing overhead. Don't know what has happened around here but the usual joggers, walkers, dog walkers, kiddy walkers etc, they are gone! Perhaps they're off on their hols. But it's always much busier than this. Supposed to be street parties, but whilst we have decorated the street there is not one person in their front gardens, apart from me having tea at three, lol. The way things are at the moment here, Carol, anyone would think there was some kind of lockdown going on.
 
Ah, cold weather and comfort food. Do it sometimes despite the Crohn's. We only live once, Buff.

Lovely and sunny before out return of what sounds like winter. I will put my precious conker saplings back in the green house. They're up for their third year and around 2 foot now. I really like them. I don't have anywhere to plant them as they grow on but probably that won't be my problem. I shall find someone who would like them and has space to plant them into areas where they can really grow. I love trees and nature.

No real plans for today (esp with this lockdown lol ((boring)) but i will get a tad more done in the garden before Mondays cold snap. Not sure anyone's going to be doing much then, but Carol won't be complaining about tourists flouting rules and the heat. You'll be suffering today though Carol.

Your not wrong there Di., I have suffered today.It seems to get worse the older I get.Put fresh bedding on yesterday including quilted pillow protectors and woke up with a very damp pillow.Les on the other hand drapes his dressing gown on his side of the bed.He is reading the paper just now, wearing a woolly hat and with his fleece blanket beside him for when he has his nap......21c today but dropping to 7c tomorrow.
 
Had to go for supplies and the line ups outside the store were long and the weather cold at the freezing mark which made things more uncomfortable. I rarely shop on a Friday due to the crowds out getting ready for the weekend, but my meds were up for renewals. On the upside I can now park closer to the house in my summer parking spot now that the winter snow pack has melted. 0C with sunshine, and I may work on firewood later.
 
With winter close we are expecting 29c today, just does not seem right. More talk of returning to normal here with restrictions being relaxed. We keep on hearing debates on whether this is a health crisis or a financial crisis. I really don't know where this is going. It is like trying to predict the weather. We can predict normal health problems but when the disease stems from animal cross overs our immune systems are not programmed to deal with it just the same that our history of dealing with wildfires amounts to nothing when global warming rewrites the rules. Funny how three months of isolation gives you time to really consider and think about all of the issues facing us all. Ron.
 
It's really cold today and windy,probably 7c without the wind chill.No complaints from me as you can imagine.
Our PM is supposed to be showing his face on TV this evening,it's been awhile since his Covid and new babe.We'e to be told what the new rules are.and we just can't wait.We're sticking to what we're doing (or n ot doing) until there are no more deaths.It's above 30,000 countrywide and over 2,000 here in the North East. Shopping is my weekly pain in the butt,but it has to be done.I wonder If the day will ever come when all we need to do is take a pill to feel well fed and content......
 
Cold, gray with a passing flurry 0C. I cut wood yesterday afternoon. There are moves here towards opening some things. I think its way too early but there is a building impatience amongst some groups to do so as the financial squeeze grows. Its going to be a different world once or rather if this virus passes on. I wonder how travel will be affected, and things like air travel and hotel amenities such as their swimming pools and hot tubs. It looks like this year I will have to cancel my trip to visit family, even the regional airlines are shutdown.
 
I look better for a golden glow. Wouldn't normally lay in the sun. Too boring! Now i have the heating on. It's bloody freezing. the high winds aren't helping but the washing is already dry.

We are a bit behind the rest of the world. Boris Is now going to introduce quarantine for travellers entering the country. This will last two weeks. Seems to be airports only, however, we haven't closed borders yet! Methinks this might be after the horses have completely bolted and are way out of sight. We aren't a politically minded people. Our politicians aren't great. It's not our subject and we were lucky to have a few to lead us through our harshes of times. But we're not geared up as a school of thought to produce a decent politician. Our deaths are second only to the US. Just hope all this blaming doesn't go too far. Nations are very angry, economies are ruined and food will be in short supply with agricultural produce going to waste in the field and so many unemployed now. As i say, i'm more than grateful i don't have young ones around to care for during this. It's bad enough alone. Stay safe all.
 
I'm actually going to get one of my lighter aircell blankets out tonight. The mornings are getting cool again to the stage that just a sheet won't cut it any more. If my legs get cold no amount of magnesium will stop the cramps. We continue to slowly resume some normal activities. We are doing an enormous amount of testing , I think Victoria managed around 160 thousand tests in around four weeks and not antibody tests ,the full tests. Overnight there were only around 6 new cases in the whole of Australia. The state governments are remaining very cautious . they are paranoid about not wanting to go back in to lockdown. We have had our borders closed from day one and any repats have to do 14 days strict quarantine. Living on an island and having strict international border restrictions has helped Australia and New Zealand to deal better with the virus. Stay safe all,Ron.
 
Thanks Di., and Ron for those excellent posts,can't really add anything about the Covid except it's far too soon to get anywhere near back to normal in the UK.....would't mind hair cut though.

Bright and sunny today but a chilly 8c. got the weekly shop without too much queing so no complaints
 
I've been out of an evening watching for hedgehogs and the bats flitting about make me think of nothing other than Covid now. then i thought "Hope they're ok" Wouldn't even want them to suffer this.

Got to bloods. Very quiet in Northampton. it's when you go into towns that you notice how dead everywhere is. Don't really notice it in the village though. Everything looks pretty much normal. Intermittent sunshine and not as cold as the last two days.
 
Lots of cloud and a few sunny outbursts. No rain so far although we really could do with a couple of rainy days for the land. We can off out a few times per day now if we want. Actually that makes it feel better psychologically. A touch of liberty. Can't await my full freedom this feels like 'solitary confinement' now. CA-125 is down just 1 point this month. It's in the right direction, whoopeee.
 
We had one of those cloudy bleak almost winter days, It threatens to rain but doesn't. I went over to Mooloolaba and got some seafood for lunch. It was tasty but not as fresh as I like. There is no substitute for the fish and crabs you catch yourself. Glad your results are at least going in the right direction Di. I go to the clinic for an INR check in the morning. Ron.
 
The weather pattern is expected to change with warmer conditions ahead, but before that happens they are calling for rain. Hopefuly not too much since we just had 6 months worth of snow melt in just one month's time leaving the ground soggy and the rivers running high. More wood cutting today.
 
we're heating back up nicely now and should see better temperatures with it. that basically means an average winter's day in aus. Hope your test goes well Ron, and you don't have to travel too far for it. I usually despair at fish bought from shops that aren't near water is definitely not anything of the quality of fresh fish.

It's lovely and sunny but with a breeze. If only it was a slightly warmer breeze. Carol will like this very much. She'll be on her bike cursing and ringing that bike bell at pesky tourists. We can now drive further and go out more than once per day. You can go back to work but only meet 'one' relative in the park or a public open space. Strange really.

Thank God i don't have to chop wood. Ive managed to click my back out of place and am going around like the hunchback of nortre dam. Maybe it's suitable to planting more of those bulbs i sent off for.

Oh,you know me so well Di., we have been on the bikes but stayed away from the coast.W e actually went to the local cemetary.It's a huge Victorian place with lots of paths and trees and of course, very peaceful..It's about a 6 mile round trip which is just enough for me today.
We could really do with a good downpour and Les will have put the hose on tomorrow as nothing's forecast.
 
We received rain overnight, but it looks like the worst held off. Cut wood yesterday and the pile is getting nice and large. Its good to keep ahead in case something changes in my health as it often does throughout the year. I don't always like cutting wood, but given some of the others living around here in terms of age it proves seniors are tough, but low on income to afford the heating costs in this country and climate. Without much of an alternative all one can do is go out and chop some more.
 
Us too Chris, hopefully we will get a proper summer this year. It's been good weather during lockdown unfortunately, but people flouted laws and got outside to get some air and sun. Can't blame them really. Our lockdown rules are a tiny bit more relaxed now which is good. We can go out a few times a day now. Tips, garden centres and a few food outlets like take-aways are opening this week too. What a relief.
 
The biggest relief Di., would be open public toilets.....walked into town to collect scripts and I was really stressed.I didn't need to "go" but knowing that I might is enough to spoil a pleasant walk.....14c and pleasant today.
 
Bit of a bugger when you have to plan your travel plans around public loos eh Carol. We have a wet week coming up or so they predict. We have not seen much of the rain that they have promised lately. Our daytime temps have dropped to the low to mid twenties but overnight it is still around 14c. My INR tests are all over the place . A month ago they were 2.8 , my target is 2.5 but this time on pretty well the same dose I am at 1.5. So next test in three weeks. Ron.
 
I'm jealous of those 20's C's. We're not back up to that yet and it looks slightly overcast today. I too shall venture out for my script today. Hope it's not too busy though.

Hope the bloods that are all over the show settle down to more normal levels Ron. It's always one thing or another these days. This being biological as a species comes with a whole host of things to go wrong. I'm going to be a microchip next lifetime i think. Enjoy your day.
 
I went and had a meal at my favourite café. They were full when I arrived but they sent me a text when a spot opened up (only 10 allowed at a time. I had a feed of Barrramundi and chips followed by a berry muffin and a mug of flat white. It is the first food that I have not prepared myself in nearly three months. It was wonderful. It was a wet afternoon and it has only dropped to 24c tonight, Ron.
 
It's the little things in life that brings the most enjoyment Ron.We drove along the coast today as Les noticed the car was getting 3 weeks to the gallon.Absolute madness !!! Hundreds of people and not many paying attention to the 2mtr spacing.As far as they're concerned the virus is over.We were glad to get home to peace and quiet...…..It's warm and sunny so I blame the weather....
 
Carol I have a full understanding about the public toilet issues we face. I could draw up a map of all the places where one can 'go' and give these public loo's a grade and a comment. Many of them I'd comment as 'take your chances'. I've noticed that when I used to eat my lunch on the go I would need to visit the public loo's much more often than when I eat lunch at home as I have to do now with the restrictions.
Sunny and warm, I should be able to wear shorts today.
