Hi Di not had any snow lately, tho had some in march i think ??
Ah so not just me then dont know whats happening with the notifications. Hope you are keeping well hun x

We've been having "disorganized" storms the past few days (though Sunday was sunny :)), a couple more days to go. We had quite the lightening and thunder show today. I love a good spring storm.

I could do with a good winter storm Sandy but it does not look like winter is going to happen. Ron.

Cold northerly, gusty, wind.Feels like 2c or less.
We've had heavy snow showers, sleet, rain and sunshine today, and looks like it's going to be the same for the rest of the week.

We had a rainy night but still nothing cold , minimum overnight was 19c and 26-28 during the day. Carol your son had some relief yesterday the maximum in S?W western Aust only reached 18 c tho in the north around Broome they had 34c and Darwin was still 36c.Ron.

WA is cold , SA is on fire watch with very hot temps and we are heading for temps getting toward 30c on the weekend. Crazy. Ron.

Still wintry here.Temps dropping as I post. 0c by tonight.
Glad I held back putting the bedding in.
Is Dave still at home Di ?

Dave is still at home with me, lol. There is a hedgehog in the garden each night, but I don't want Dave catching pneumonia yet. It would be unfair.

My house and green house is full of bedding plants awaiting warmer than -2C at night. Would be a shame to have them killed off having spent on them. Tis a nightmare. I just want a real spring and summer, but not the extremes that some on here have to suffer.
still sunny and slightly warmer before the cold night ahead.

Was a very hot day today. Crunched data from the morning and got only a few hours sleep in the night. A lot of work to do tomorrow as an article is in the process of being written. My head is aching, probably due to the heat. Hoping everything goes off well.

Wishing the best to all of you.

Rain and warm , heart ultrasound came back. Neph has discounted congestive heart failure. He sent me for an ecg to prove no atrial fib. No atrial fib found but numerous ectopics and scar tissue on the bottom of my heart from a possible heart attack. neph did not believe it .I told him my liver was too big for its allotted space. He checked my liver functions . A month ago several rose into the red and the latest test they doubled . I have an ultrasound next week. He is looking for either auto-immune hepatitis or most likely what every colon cancer survivor fears liver cancer. Ron.

We'll all be rooting for a good result, Ron. Fingers crossed.

cold wind today, thunder and lightening with hail briefly (whilst I was out, of course).

Ron i so hope that is not the case.. wishing the very best result for you my friend. 💕😚
Woke to some snow this morning..raining now.
Hope there is no snow monday as iv got to do a 100mile round trip of removals for my son, he is moving to his new house (finally getting rid 😉). He is not moving that far but we are getting some things from his ladys late fathers house ,which is near Blackpool...not drove a van in years!!! I could do without snow if you dont mind mr weather thank you..☺

Cold.but not as bad as the forecast threatened.YET !!!

Ron,best wishes weather whinger.Hopefully these tests will make things clear.
At the very least you will know what NOT to worry about.Given your history,I would say your a tough old cobber,so don't let the b*ggers get you down now.

We are finally pretty much done with our blustery weather of the last week (we had a little flooding in our basement again after a couple of large downpours.) It will be partly cloudy with a small chance of rain for the rest of the week, the highs around 70°. Perfect in my standards. David, you can keep your heat and we will continue to buy Florida (pulp free) orange juice.

Ron, you worry me. :hang: :getwell:

Does anyone know a contractor who will re-seal a foundation for free?

A good start to yet another Bank holiday weekend, but it's gonna turn wet and windy
later in the day.People who didn't get away at Easter, because of bad weather, will
be out in their droves.Everyones desperate for fine weather, and will be trying to make the best of it..............except for us,unsociable as ever.

Long weekend here too. People every where but it has been raining most days. Still hot and humid . warmest April on record . Still sleeping with a fan on me all night or at least trying to. I had another skin cancer cut out of my cheek last Wednesday and my cpap mask is rubbing on it . Five stitches this time. Annoying, Ron.

We have been given warnings about potential high winds tonight and tomorrow. Predicting sustained winds of 60 mph with gusts over 75 mph tonight and tomorrow.

   I should have looked closer at the weather predictions yesterday other than an internet week at a glance page to see temps and rain. As Doug said, we are expecting extremely strong winds here for the next day, not unlike an unprecedented wind storm in 2011 that toppled just about every tall evergreen tree in our county (our town of Kaysville being one of the worst hit), damaged and destroyed roofs (ours specifically again being one of the worst hit, took off not only shingles but plywood, exposing roof trusses, ripping out insulation and exposing even light fixtures and ceilings inside. Parts of our roof were found several houses away.) We "joke" that our roof hit our car, causing a couple thousand dollars damage. We were without electricity for several days, and that was in December when it was quite cold. At least this time it is the end of April should we lose power (most likely). During that storm we had sustained winds of over 60 mph, wind gusts up to 140 mph.   At least most of the shallow rooted tall trees in the area are gone so can't topple on houses in the area this time.

Thinking of you, Sandy and Doug. Sounds awful.
Ron, I hope all goes well and that you get some cool weather soon.
Was sunny earlier, but not so now. Not cold though.

It must be very scary Doug.I hate wind more than anything.I hope it's passed you by without incident. You've had your share.

Cold and damp,it's a staying in day......But temps are to rise by NEXT weekend.
I might even be able to cast off my vest and long socks with wild abandon.

The wind is still howling (made for an interesting night), but starting to die down. Our house is relatively unscathed, but there have been a lot of downed trees and other damage to other property in the area, including one house that had a large tree fall on it which crashed through roof, attic and destroyed kitchen and and living room areas of their house. One tree elsewhere fell into a power line and caught on fire. Many in the county have been without power, but we have been lucky. These "downslope" winds (off the mountains) make for some interesting cloud formations.

Hi Doug and Sandy,
I am glad that there has been minimal damage to your property and even happier that you suffered no injuries. I know what it is like to live with wild winds and understand that feeling of what will happen will happen when they hit. Hugs ron.

I agree.

Not cold again. Weather report states warmer weather this week, whooopeee. Bedding plants going in at last. Little Big Dave can trot off finally. He won't know his luck.

Sun is trying to come through.

clouded over, expecting rain.
Little Big Dave will get a go faster white stripe down his back so I can recognise him amongst the others. Perhaps I shall make it luminous paint in case he crosses the road.

Temps are still only 2c below the summer average. The weather bureau are now saying that it is possible that we may not get a winter this year. If that is the case next summer will be hell. I find no summer difficult to believe. Stop the planet I want to get off. Ron.

I wish I could think of something to cheer you up Ron,except you don't want to be going anywhere in a hurry. It may be hotter there.:devil::devil:

And at least there is some hope where you are.:ghug:

Sunny here now, maybe I'll be whinging about the heat soon.:cool2:

81° at 11:26am here in Glendale, Arizona. The high is going to be 87° today. Not too bad, I guess. Some rain the other night with thunder.....I like that. And we sure need the rain here. Everyone have a good week. :)

It is about 1 AM in our campus in a small town in Western India, and the temperature is 85 F. In the USA, you use Fahrenheit, whereas we generally use C.

I would say you live in a paradise, weather wise. The highest here is climbing to 42 C and it has not rained for more than 3 months. :)

Doug and Sandy : I hope you guys are okay. I never knew the weather up there was crazy like that ! "Mother Nature" is so unpredictable. Keep us posted. :)

I just killed another flat invading rat. I don't know what they Find appealing I hate the place. Hot steamy day got to 29c..Ron.

Hi Catherine,
I was watching it on the news tonight. It looked fresh to frightening. I would happily settle for quiet and cool. I doubt if our minimum will get down to 22 tonight and expecting 28-29 tomorrow. Stay safe . Ron.

We came through it just fine. No damage to us or our property. Wind gusts were up to 91 mph. I spent yesterday helping neighbors clean up their broken tree limbs, etc..

Whew! Our "blustery" is over. It's absolutely gorgeous now. (Interesting side note to our wind reports, all that wind and the petals stayed on the tulips in our yard. They look a bit tattered, but they are there!)
I hope all of you stay as cool or hot as you want to be.

Another warm and humid day temps going up to 30c by next Monday. Got the biopsy from my cheek , heavily pigmented nodular basal cell carcinoma fully excised with clear margins , good. Had my liver ultrasound . Tech asked the same question three times . Are you absolutely sure your gallbladder was removed. I sort of got the impression something has taken its place. He was asked to do a liver ultrasound only. After the liver he checked my pancreas and both kidneys. as I was leaving I saw him on the phone to someone with my report in his hand. Feeling very nervous and I will have to wait till next wed to find out. ron.

There are thunderclouds and it might rain a little.

On an unrelated note, I sent a box home on Sunday having my entire collection of books by a reputed courier. I understand that the vehicle carrying it across the breadth of the country, about 2000 km, was attacked sometime yesterday. Feeling very blue. :(

I am sorry

15c but can't see the sunshine for cloud cover. Not complaining.
I feel so, so, sorry for the Canadian people involved in the horrific fires.I think everyone is safe, but it must be soul destroying.I have a lot to be thankful for.

Each year carol it seems that these events are ramping up in intensity. I have no doubt we will learn to live with them, what choice do we have? But even so the loss of some 600 homes is going to leave scars on the minds of those involved for years. I''ve seen it here in Australia. Every year homes and lives are lost here in LA and California spain and now in Canada. How much more evidence do we need to believe in climate change enough to really try to reverse or slow it down. I hope our children find more resolve than our generation. Ron.

I agree Ron,and I'm glad I won't be around by then to care.I certainly don't envy the young of today.Things have moved too fast in the last century, and man puts his need for bigger and faster etc.before everything else.

10c and overcast here in the north east.24+ in the south.......according to the met.office it's going to be the hottest summer in the UK for 40yrs.???

Madam, I agree with you.

However, there are certain parts of the world where this need for "bigger and faster" seem to be disproportionately more. For instance, the ecological footprint in GHa/pers for Australia and UK are 6.84 and 4.89 respectively as opposed to 0.91 and 0.62 for India and Bangladesh. Ironically, one observes that the lament against climate change arises mostly from those parts of the world where abuse of the environment is most rampant.

I think I am younger than you, and please excuse me for pointing this out. I have nothing against you personally; you are such a wonderfully supportive person, but I thought that I would say this. Hope you would take this in the right spirit and forgive me for writing this :)

SMT I don't think that there is any doubt or any excuse for the way that the industrialised countries have squandered the earths resources. Fossil fuels are mostly to blame and the countries rich in natural resources of fossil fuels sell them with scant regard for their impact on the world. Governments have to start realising that the people of those countries are no longer interested in a rampant economy as they are about leaving a safe liveable legacy for their children. I don't want a safe conservative government I want a progressive government that understands and deals with future problems now. There is no point in being rich and powerful if the world is dying . Ron.

Thank you sir.

The point remains that there are not many people in the advanced economies that think like you, and the results of elections prove my point. And you are right, certain countries are holding the world to ransom as they possess natural resources, aka oil and gas.

This gives a fairly through picture:

https://deeshaa.org/2010/01/29/india-must-invest-in-solar-power-rd-now/#more-3450

I work with the Diffusion of Innovation theory, and wonder if a good (really good, including prices) alternative to fossil fuels is found (difficult), what lightning speed it would diffuse with. it would break all diffusion speed records in history.

30c tomorrow . Not looking forward to it. Really unwell today, couldn't work. Filled up with fluid again , back on fluid restrictions and double diuretics . I hope it allows me to get some sleep tonight and breathe. Ron.

Ron,hoping in vain for some GOOD news from you. Please please feel better soon.:ghug:

Cooler tomorrow, it was 31c here today. The nights are warm too. Only 25c tomorrow but back up to 29c by the weekend. winter is half over and we have not had any. todays 31 c was the hottest may day on record. Had to work but I felt like crap. I get some results tomorrow afternoon . Ron.

Sincerely hope results are good, Ron. I hear you screaming roll on winter and I hope it gets colder for you soon.

Not so warm, misty with showers.

Its cooler today after getting needed rain, now they changed over to flurries. A couple days ago the bush was getting very dry, and fires were popping up. Luckily the forest service caught them when they were small as these can turn into a bad day very quickly. Whenever I hear the drone of water bombers in the area I get very nervous.

I must be pretty near. 6C and raining now. 60% chance of snow tonight.

Temps now averaging 25-15c and much nicer. Got my results from the doctor. In his own words '' Ï have no idea why you are filling up with fluid, your heart has issues but no congestive hear failure, your liver functions are very high but no sign of anything nasty as are your pancreas and kidneys, your nephrotic syndrome is under control, I just don't know".Big help I suspect that it is an auto-immune inflammatory problem. My inflammatory markers are very high and since I have started taking prednisone again my pain levels and bp are falling. He said he only wants me on it for two weeks but then he gave me a script for 60 pills and three repeats. I filled up with fluid again last week and had to do the 1 litre fluid restriction and double diuretics until it cleared. Not happy Ron.

Fine and dry 12c.Still not warm enough to go out without a jacket.Wish it would warm up a wee bit....15-18c would be perfect.

Hi peeps its been pretty pleasent all week apart from an odd coolish day..
Keep as well as you can folks n take care of yourselves.

Another nice day.Cool,12c and sunny. Papers are warning of an imminent heat wave
but also eight storms expected in August.

For goodness sake, lets just enjoy the summer. There's enough doom and gloom in the world.

Well it was 25c for three days , now it has gone back up into the high twenties. You put a coat on when you get up in the morning by 1000 am I am back to shorts and a t shirt. Poor old Tasmania looks like getting blown across the Tasman sea and becoming part of New Zealand. The winds have not dropped below 100 kph for several weeks on the west coast and must be extremely annoying for those living there. Ron.

My friends sis moved to Tasi from Perth two years ago.She loves it down there,or she did.
16c quite boring really.Lots of rain on the way for the south, allegedley.
