Since my tv thread went over so well, I thought I'd move on to movies :) Look out, books might be next...lol

My favourite movie of all time is Interview with the Vampire....mmmmmm...Brad Pitt biting necks! Doesn't get better than that!

Haha. You know I never got the whole Brad Pitt thing until I saw Meet Joe Black, haha.

I think I would have to say my favorite all-time movie is The Princess Bride. And a very close second is The Fellowship of the Ring.

Oh yeah...the Lord of the Rings Trilogy was fantastic! Even though they didn't exactly follow the books in some areas (don't get me started on that! lol)

Ok, most of you won't remember or been born yet... BEN HUR is my all time favourite movie, seen it many many times and finally bought the DVD!

Hmm my two are fairly in known
the acting etc not the best I jus like the cars lol
- two lane blacktop
- running on empty

also the worlds fastest Indian isn't bad either

Dr. Zhivago......The Russian revolution is fascinating to me, and paired with a love story, it is the best!

Everyone has gotta like Titannic! Joe Black is good but Brad Pitt is not my fave actor, to each our own.

Brad Pitt is not the greatest actor, no. I actually think he plays somewhat of the same character in most of his movies. But he is good eye candy ;) Titanic is good, yes. I saw that movie 4 times in theaters, I think. but I was 13 at the time and in love with Leonardo Dicaprio!

Oh wow to narrow down what are my fav movies would be a tough one lol ! There are soooo many. I love movies....:D

Yes people have to like titanic I agree with you Pen! I remember people watching that movie multiple times in the theatre.

Just to name some that come to mind hmmm.....

Big
Sling Blade
The Kite Runner >>> matched up pretty well to the book.. which is usually not the case

Silence of the Lambs
Shawshank Redemption
Schindlers List >> yes I know depressing but it is part of history told on screen very well
Forrest Gump
American History X
Napoleon Dynomite!

So many more .... Yes I love movies
Oh I am sorry there are so many great ones!

Love Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp
Anyone seen Snatch? Pitt really can act!

My all time fav fillum is Pulp Fiction - nothing has ever topped it for me, I'm obsessed with it!

Think I've got a chance now Angie's off the scene?
dead right!
Meet Joe Black? - yes when?
Interview with the Vampire? - yes when?
OOOOO
Johnny Depp- now he is boss!
going watching Alice in Wonderland next week, can't wait - swoons to the floor!

I fell asleep to the remake of charlie and the chocolate factory. They should not have made that movie....Cannot beat an original and outdo Gene Wilder in the first Charlie and the chocolate factory. I fell asleep during that movie in the theatre. Same as Superman....I wanted to see that dragged my cousin and friend to see it in the movies even though they didnt want to see it. I said it will be good...I fell asleep when most of the movie was just him flying and flying around. My cousin pushed my shoulder a couple times and said Jen your falling asleep...Everytime she did that I said hes just flying wake me when he actually does something.
Another good movie Crash...
I actually just saw Avatar the other day finally. That was longer than I thought...some creative minds to come up with a movie like that!

So many good ones already mentoned, but my list includes
Taledega Nights
Anchor Man
Old School
Super Bad
Step Brothers
Napoleon Dynamite
Cansino Royal and Quanum of Solce
Batman Begins and Dark Night
Full metal Jacket
Clockwork Orange
Thank you for Smoking

God I could go on, I love movies

I loved the Fellowship of the Ring. The rest of the series was great too, but this one is my favourite. I'm also a fan of the first Matrix movie, though the rest weren't nearly as good. Another movie I love is Hot Fuzz, I've enjoyed every movie I've seen Simon Pegg in, but this is the one I enjoyed the most.

In no particular order.....

Dogs in Space
The Company of Wolves
Bell Book & Candle
The Heart of Me
Broken Flowers
The Lost Boys
Pretty in Pink
The Woods
Pans Labyrinth
Control

I love movies, big fan of the horror genre, although it is tough to get one that is not cheesefest. The basic premise is that if someone does something nice for you, you Pay it forward and do something for someone else. Please watch and let me know what you guys think.

Hey Astra, Robin Williams is amazingly gifted. That was a great movie! Jack was a funny one. Carpe Diem is an old one that is wonderfully done. He had another that i cannot think of the name for but he played a great doc at a kids hospital. Good will Hunting was badass and lastly the Fisher King!

He is one of the very few celebs I would like to meet and have a beer with, I truly believe he is a genuis.:)

My favorite are

Band of Brothers
Pirates of the Carribean (of course)
Legands of the Fall
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy

Actually I have, maybe it's just me, but, Meet the Spartans was a bit too cheesy for me. I LOVED Scary Movie 1 (the rest were meh) and I love comedies, but it was a bit too campy for me.

Do they call them "fillums" over there? I've never heard that, we call them "films" over here, and I've seen that more than once from UK folks, "fillums"...

If you want a funny parody (though raunchy, which means I love it :) ) then watch "Superhero Movie" if you like comic book ones. It's closer to Scary movie to me, in style and humor, but you have to get a lot of the jokes from other movies.

Oh, and The Onion Movie is AWESOME if you like comedy at all. It's a parody of news and current events, media, etc...that is brilliantly done at times (odd at others).

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Equilibrium
Donnie Darko
Blues Brothers
Blazing Saddles
Star Wars 3 - Revenge of the Sith

I just re-watched the LOTR trilogy this week when I was off. It's still great! I also bought It's Complicated with Meryl Streep and Alex Baldwin...omg, it was really funny!

Love anything Robin Williams has done. I know the film you are referring to I think it was Patch Adams. The World According to Garp is still great and I liked Good Morning Vietnam as well. The man is a genius.

My Life in Ruins
Death Race w. Jason Statham
Dirty Dancing
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

Love your list EXCEPT Hitchhikers books (the 5 part trilogy) are way superior to the films!
Current favourite Toy Story 3.
Also loved a little known Australian animation called Mary and Max, which is new. Seriously recommend!!

Shaft!
I love anything with Samuel L!

I also love Mike Leigh films, just watched Life is Sweet,

No real favourite, but The Green Mile is a great film.

Yes, an excellent movie. I love alot of movies cant just pick just one, but our family fave is Titannic. The other is shutter Island. Leo is a great actor.

Love Rock too, the original.

Hmm, love movies too. My desert island movie is 'Bladerunner' - the one with the commentary. Only seem to be able to get the Director's cut on DVD now.

I'm suprised noones mentioned it already......maybe im just an uber geek.....but what about Twilight? The first one especially, loved that film, and the books were great :)

I love 'Little Miss Sunshine'- never fails to make me laugh, closely followed by 'Dead Poet's Society'. 2 films which are poles apart, so depends on my mood!

Napolean Dynamite is priceless even the starting credits are hillarious. I can;t believe nobody mentioned Up in smoke a true classic but all their stuff is awesome. The party is old but super funny and Good Fellas is another favorite. The good bad and the ugly and you gotta love planet of the apes. What about Borat HiGH 5 :) There's way to many good movies to list but most of them are older I don't like all this new super special effects and BS stuff but that's just me and I hardly watch movies now however I did just watch the usual suspects in the motel and that's another gotta see. My biggest thing is can I still eat popcorn??? I haven't since 2010.

"Inside I'm Dancing"

Great film, and a real tear jerker at the end, but very inspirational.

And...."Shaun of the Dead" Classic!!!

Misty

i also like Sweet Home Alabama to i can watch it over and over again also like Pet Semetary

trying to think of more i like to watch

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy is my ultimate favorite. I don't know if it counts as a movie, but the HBO series Band of Brothers is outstanding!

I saw a test screening of Titanic before it was finished and it was so bad, I couldn't imagine why it was doing so well in theaters once it was released, so I went to see it then, and they changed so much of it, that it was a better movie. But I think the gun fight scene they removed colored my opinion of the movie so much I don't think I could like it.

My favorite movies are Clueless, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Bourne Movies with Matt Damon (I think he's so handsome in those movies!), Shawshank Redemption, and depending on my mood, it could be a hundred other movies.

Ok first of all for those who liked 300. Really guys? This is Sparta? Its maybe because I am Greek but this movie along with Troy, Alexander the Great and Disneys Hercules are the movies I cant stand.

If you want some movies about Greeks try some of my favs
