Woken up at 4am with esophageal spasms. (I think) I can usually calm those down with drinking water and burping but no go this time. Up at 5, drinking water and making myself burp for a few hours, still no relief. Called Dr....this is good....."Oh dear, well, we could see you tomorrow at 3:30". What do I do in the meantime? "I'll have Mary call you". That was 2 hours ago. I finally gave in and took one hydrocodone....seems to have calmed things down, but tummy hurts. I hate thinking I may have to go to ER. Really no need to reply, just wanted to get it off my chest.

Sorry to hear that, I'm having quite the pity party for myself today as well so I feel for you! My advice is, if you feel like you need to go to the ER, don't question it - just go. It's better to get checked out than to wait it out and get worse. If it's not bad enough for the ER, you could always go to urgent care too. Good luck, I hope you feel better soon.

Judith, I often wonder what these medical types would do if they had to go thru some of what we go thru! :voodoo:

I hope you 'Do a Homer' in their face when you get to the Dr! :D

Dr. called me at 5 pm. I had called his office at 8:30 am. He at least apologized for not calling sooner but this was his hospital day (surgeries and such). Then he said his staff told me that my Crohn's was hurting a lot. I said nooo, I told your staff that I had esophageal spasms that would not quit. Oh, he says, well somebody screwed this message up. I honestly didn't know whether to laugh or scream. Well, this day is almost over and we survived one more time. Thank you all for reading and responses too. I will honestly try not to whine too much in this forum.
