I never thought I would saw this, but I miss salad. So much. I have been getting healthy the last few years before my diagnosis and started eating raw veggies from the garden and it was delightful. Now I can't seem to find any that are safe.

Ideas?

I am getting a little tired of plain chicken, plain rice, avacados and eggs.

What have you tried? I'm afraid all I can say is that our diets are a bit of trial and error. The best I can suggest is to only try a little of something until you can figure out what works for you. It'll be a bit bumpy getting there, but unfortunately it maybe the only way to go. Good luck, we're here for ya!!!

I know what you mean. Up until my last surgery I'd have to avoid fibre. Now I appreciate being able to eat raw fruit and salad so much more!

Have you tried bananas, tinned fruit, stewed fruit, well cooked root vegetables, fruit and vegetable juices (with no bits in), smooth vegetable soups? Smooth nut butters I liked as well.

Warm salads are always a good choice. They are usually cooked through but, still have veggies in them. I understand the missing of raw veggies completely though. Through trial and error I have discovered a few I can eat but, alas sometimes I just eat the salad and live with the consequences..

After 3 years of salads, coleslaw and veggies being the anti-christ,I can now eat them and I feel fine one one I still avoid are spring onions and that's after a recent scope that showed I still have inflammation.crohns it's like the tide in and out.

Consider getting yourself a quality Juicer. I just ordered one for my wife and we're both pretty excited about it. Great way to get nutrients if you're having issues with mal-absorption.
