Sounds good ,Cat. My leg is better. I am on medicine for it. The chiropractor says it could have something to do with a disc in my back. The doctor was very thorough. She had my thyroid level and my A1C level checked.

I just want to say I love you all so very much. It's great to read all your posts and get a glimpse in to your lives. It helps me carry on and get through.

I almost said about the same thing right here after reading the posts above your statement. This place makes me smile. Hugs to all!

About to lose Internet connection, off to non reality day. Winning!

Hope you have a great day, Sandy! Ron, that's great about the leg!

Low-FODMAP is a little frustrating. From what I've read, onion and garlic are the two biggest no-nos. I'm allowed a little gluten, a little dairy, but absolutely no onion and no garlic. I was just at the grocery store and I found a gluten-free dairy-free pizza... but it has onion in it. Ugh! Oh well. I will find another way to have pizza. I did get some tomatoes and some goat cheese and I have some gluten-free lasagna noodles, and I have olive oil and basil (all those should be low-FODMAP friendly), so I'm going to make myself a kinda-sorta lasagna tonight. I wanted pizza but lasagna should hopefully be a good consolation prize.

Yum

My lasagna was a fail. :( I got some rice-based lasagna noodles and the package clearly says, "Oven-ready, no boiling". So I didn't boil them. I should have, apparently. They were hard as a rock and completely inedible when my lasagna was baked. So disappointing! I was able to eat out the innards, but that's still really frustrating. I didn't get pizza and now I didn't even get my consolation-prize lasagna. I'm having tuna salad for dinner, again. It's yummy but it's not what I wanted. Next time I'll boil the stupid no-boil noodles I guess. Ugh! Not winning.

Had chicken tenderloins and fries prepared in olive oil. Then took an unexpected nap. Love you all.

Unexpected naps are the best! I mean, as long as you're not driving or anything. ;)

I got a sort of snotty facebook message from a girl I used to work with (we were co-workers over 10 years ago), she's seen a few of my FB posts about my current flare and she sent me a link to some book about thinking positive and "not being a victim" to my illness. Sooo, she got a slightly snotty message right back from me with some realities when it comes to chronic illness and chronic pain, as well as a link to the Spoon Theory. I'm pretty sure she's going to unfollow me momentarily, good riddance too. Sorry, I can't be all kittens and sunshine in a flare, deal with it lady! Sometimes healthy people are just the worst.

In other news, I've started crocheting a new blanket. :p This one is shades of soft grey and so far it's really turning out nice. I'm going to give it to my cousin and her husband for xmas and I think they'll like it. Oh, and I got some gluten-free chocolate chip cookies, and although they look unappetizing they actually taste fairly good. So for my fun Friday night I'm snacking and crafting and watching TV. And winning!

Edit: Update - the girl from facebook actually apologized!

Good that she apologised. It's hard living with this especially when it flares.

Aw Cat sorry about the noodles. So she should apologise the cheeky mare!!..
Keep on winning hun ☺💖

Big hugs n love to you all :ghug: 💚💛💜

Yeah, I'm glad she apologized but still miffed she felt the need to give such rude, unsolicited advice in the first place. Seriously uncalled for!

Anybody doing anything fun this weekend? My hubby is off of work today and his mother sent us $50 for our anniversary, so I think we're going to go to a store and splurge on some new towels. I want really soft, fluffy, plush bath towels! That sounds so nice, our current towels are fine but I want some really nice towels.

I watched my friend start to build me a fence at the front of our house. Also went to a school fair and hardware store. I really like hardware stores. Tomorrow I'm just going to chill out. Hens laying 4-5 eggs per day now.

I ate gluten yesterday. Big mistake. I had baked sweet potatoes. Not sure why but they seem to be a problem.

Hi Ron...sweet potatoes are gluten free...could you have cooked them with some food that may not be gluten free....just a thought....
Kirsty...the hens must like you and their new cosy home.
Hardware stores can be so interesting and sell unusual things.
Our local one had huge sacks of peanuts you would need a lifter the sacks were so big
My curiosity caused me to ask the sales clerk what use they would be and she said people buy them to feed the birds....
Cat it is incredible how some people think...that person was very impolite and insensitive
But she did apologise which is a good thing. It is so hard to forgive ignorance....especially in the middle of a flare....feel better soon.
Hope Carol is enjoying her weekend away...miss her witty posts..
Happy Saturday Everyone...
Winning....

I like hardware stores too, sometimes it's fun just to wander around in stores like that even if you don't need anything in particular.

I got my towels! I found really nice ones on sale so I was able to get 2 sets, I'm really happy with that. They're plush and fluffy. I'm washing them right now and am going to try them out tonight. Winning!

Hi, Trysha. They were already baked at Whole Foods. I wonder if they could have been baked with something that had gluten or dairy?

Cat, our anniversary falls on Tuesday. I think both of us would like to see the new movie Sully.

Looks like it's anniversary season now :) Congrats to you too, Ron! I still have 2 months for mine. I guess it's going to be a quiet one this time, since we just had a big trip to Vegas now.

Hi Ron....never trust store bought food if you have any food sensitivities unless they declare them gluten free etc.
It's entirely possible when they are bulk cooking that non gluten foods may be contaminated by gluten containing ones.
Hope you are better now.
Hugs
Trysha

By the way I saw the real life Sully as it was happening and the most sensitive touching piece was when they were on a raft after the water landing and Sully took off his shirt and gave it to a shivering passenger.
The whole series of events was terrifying to watch but most impressive was the intercom with Sully describing events to ground control and finally saying they were landing in the Hudson
And then doing it.
It will be interesting to see if the film is true to the events.
Can't wait to see it
Happy Anniversary Ron
Trysha

It turns out I'm just about to head to the hardware store myself now. The hubby was outside mowing the lawn and found a wasp's nest, so we have to go buy some wasp poison spray stuff. Winning?

Happy Anniversary for Tuesday Ron. Hope you have a great day n enjoy the film . 💕

Love to you all.. 💕💕
Early night for me feel a little rough today..had the trots!!😕.
:ghug:

Happy anniversary to all you anniversarites out there! And wow, Trysha, you watched that live? I'm assuming you mean on the telly, and not from NY. That would have been terrifying and fascinating at the same time. Cat, stay out of the hornets, but you can add me to the hardware store club. Most women love clothes and shoes shopping, etc., which I find annoying (but necessary), but could get lost even in a small hardware store for ages. I love the sights and smells, and where my imagination takes me with the projects I could do. The peanuts story has me cracking up, though!
I'm glad you made it home safely, Madhu. Mandy, I hope you feel better. Kirsty, hope you're doing better, and all who don't feel well feel better soon.
It's half time, and our Utes are up by one point (14/13), playing our rivals, BYU. We've had too many turnovers, so if we tighten it up, should do even better next half (I hope).

I am definitely staying away from the hornets! I glanced and they looked mad so I'm keeping well away. I take it the Utes are a college team? I don't get into college football (which is odd because I live in a city where college football is huge), but I do love the Green Bay Packers. I will be cheering for them tomorrow for sure. Go Pack!

Sorry Cat abt the delay in response, we had to watch the Utes win. YIPPEE! And yes, you were correct abt college football. We are quite passionate about the University of Utah Utes, who take their name after an indigenous American Indian tribe (the Utes), with their Permission. Until I had to wear oxygen, we had season tickets, and we were just too broke to get tickets this year, thanks to being taken off SSD for a time (grrrr! We won the appeal tho) and the cost of some meds. I also understand why you like the Green Bay Packers, esp. where you live. They are a great team, and I have a lot of respect for them.
Forgot to say we had a great fishing day yesterday, our best catch yet. It was quite chilly up in the higher elevations, we fished at Trial Lake this time (very near one of our other favorite spots), and found the higher elevations downright chilly with the leaves already starting to change. It was a beautiful day.
Definitely winning.

Well this has been a crappie week, blew a tyre to bits on our motorhome, today our 4 year old gas fridge freezer packed up and cant be repaired so we new a new one @$3500 , things come in threes, and i have a kidney scan and chest xray next week, so a bit worried, apparently if the kidney cancer comes back, it comes back in the lungs, doesnt make sense, but i am no doctor, just an expert on crohns. You guys have have been keeping me busy, so much reading lately.

Sandy, those pictures are gorgeous! What a beautiful area of the country you live in! The leaves here are just starting to have a hint of a color change but are still about 99.5% green. It'll be really pretty here in a few weeks, though.

Trev, oh my goodness, when it rains it pours! I really hope your tests come back fine with no cancer. Please keep us posted on that! Hoping for the best for you!

All the best Trev...hope the scan is clear of the enemy.
Cat..take care with the hornets...don't stir them up...
Sandy your pictures are exquisite...so beautiful
Glad your fishing was positive for you...not lucky for the fish though....
I watched the real life action of Sully on the news.. It was spellbinding and terrifying
Such a wonderful outcome though..no lives lost.
It was just before I was due to fly to England for a sad occasion.
Put my trust in AirCanada........quite safe travelling.
Kirsty..hope you are feeling better.
Hi Madhu,Shanen and Mandy Ron....also Carol if you are looking at us
Winning......

Hi Trysha and all. Positive thoughts for you Trev. Cat, much husband recently discovered he's now allergic to bees after being stung twice cleaning out our wood pile. Resulted in a hurried trip to the hospital so be careful yourself. Beautiful pictures Sandy. Trees are just beginning to change colors here with the cool evenings and crisp mornings lately.

I am definitely staying away from the wasps! They are frightening. Hubby had sprayed them yesterday with a full bottle of wasp-killing poison. I glanced from afar today, and they sure seem alive and well (and mad!) to me. So he got another bottle of poison stuff, hopefully second try is a charm...

I decided that today was self-care Sunday. I bought myself some presents. I got some yummy chocolate and cheese (dark chocolate and goat cheese, both are okay on the low-FODMAP diet that I'm doing). I also bought myself a bouquet of flowers, got some pretty new yarn, and splurged on some fancy face masques since prednisone isn't being super kind to my skin. I don't have a lot of money lately but it felt nice to have a little splurge on myself. I kind of want to do this every Sunday, just get myself something nice or do something nice for myself even if I don't need it, just to do something to make myself happy. If I have a standing appointment to be nice to myself, I think it might help my mental state. This flare has not been easy on me mentally so I need to do nice things for myself more often.

Hi Honeys,I'm home........Had a good weekend but my innards are struggling. Not because I over-ate or had the "wrong"foods, my diet was the same as at home. Maybe a change of water ? Hope to be back on track soon, hate feeling like this.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY........Light travels faster than sound, that's why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

Could be the water Carol...the Lyons Tea Company once gave a demonstration and talk in their tea factory at Greenford and I learned a lot about different tea blends and how to make a good cup of tea.
They explained that the tea had to be blended for the water in different geographic areas in Britain..
And gave a demonstration proving their point.
Since moving to Canada I use only distilled water to get a nice cuppa tea in the morning,
and a nice cup of tea with my tea...and when it's time for bed there's a lot to be said for a nice cup of tea!! Excuse my warble.....
On the same visit they introduced their first instant coffee...the sample was delicious...
Instant coffees have never tasted the same since.
Winning.....

Oh Trev, my fingers crossed for you as well.
And Carol, glad you and your wit are back. Hope your tummy settles down quickly. Maybe it was just the excitement of the travels plus water?
Not a lot going on here today out of the ordinary, so I will just say have a good day/night my friends. Take care of yourselves. 💛🐝

Cat...I saw two suggestions online (among many) for getting rid of wasps...
One.... spray area with WD40.......wasps don't like it and fly away...
Two...buy at least two giant Chinese candles ,light them in the area and wasps take off.
The posters claim success...I don't have the problem so I can't say regarding efficacy...cheap though and maybe worth a try.
Feel better soon
Hugs
Trysha

Thanks, Trysha! We do have some WD40 in the house, somewhere, so I will have the hubby try that. Not sure that I want to try candles because the nest is right on the side of my house and I really don't want to risk burning down my house, so I think I might skip that idea! The WD40 sounds much safer though.

Scottsma, could be the water. I once had to go to a town that's maybe an hour away from here, for a work meeting. We were staying overnight in a hotel and having the meeting the next morning. But the water in this town was so awful, it made me really ill and I had to go out at night in an unfamiliar place to buy bottled water. And it was only an hour from here! It's crazy how water quality can change from one location to the next. Now I make sure to always bring or buy some bottled water when I travel, even if I'm not going far.

Re: water.......coffee and tea were really strong up there,so it was definitely different to ours at home.

Trysha....enjoyed your ditty,I remember it well. You're showing your age though....and mine,by remembering it. Feel moderately better today.Going for a cycle before the supermarket.Got to get my priorities right. The place we stayed was brilliant for bikes.Woodland and river to the left, and a long coastal track to the right.Alas bikes were in the shed at home. Also only minutes after getting home some murderous driver killed a seagull on the road outside.Les brought it in and disposed of it.He's sure it was Shedward.Really hope it wasn't but if he doesn't show up in a day or two,well........:yfrown:

The hubby found some other brand of wasp poison spray in our basement so he tried that on the wasps. It's been raining all day so I haven't been out to see if they're dead yet or not. If that spray doesn't work then I'm sending him back out to the wasp nest with the WD40.

I'm setting some goals and it feels good. Today, my goal was to vacuum the house. My house isn't very large, but I have a dog and a cat, so pet hair gets everywhere. So vacuuming means not only going over the rugs and floors, but also attaching the vacuum hose and going into all the little nooks & crannies to get all the animal hair. It's a lot of work. But, I'm doing good! I'm halfway done! I attached the hose first to do the nooks & crannies, so I got that part done. I just need to go over the floors now. I'm taking a break because I still have limited energy and don't want to piss off my body. I'm going to eat lunch and then get back at it.

My goal for tomorrow is to get through a day of work. My GP thinks I can go back to work tomorrow, so I'm going to try. I work a desk job so it's not strenuous. It will be stressful, though. I haven't been to work in nearly a month so I'm sure I'm going to have about a thousand emails and dozens of tasks to do. The thought of it alone is really stressful! But I know that if I put it off those emails and tasks will just continue to pile up, so I'm just going to try to get through it. Wish me luck!

We have dog hair all over our house and my wife keeps sweeping and sweeping.

Pets are worth all the extra work.I mean who else do you know who makes you laugh,is ALWAYS happy to see you,and who loves you unconditionally ?

Lock your other half and the dog in a cupboard for 10 minutes and see which one is pleased to see you when you let them out.

Agree

Oh yes, my pets are definitely worth the extra work and the hair! My dog and cat are the best. My dog entertains me endlessly, she's ridiculous (she's a corgi so she has a natural tendency towards ridiculousness) and she is just so funny. My cat knows when I'm not feeling well and she'll just sit near me and quietly purr to soothe me, and she also likes to follow me into the bathroom and keep me company in there. Pets are the best!

I'm just about to finish the vacuuming. In the meantime, I went online and was looking at those robotic vacuums. I have had a couple roombas in the past but they both broke (I think the dog hair actually killed the 2nd one) so I don't really want one of those again, and they are so expensive too. I see that there are now other brands out there besides roomba, and one seems to get good reviews specifically for pet hair and is actually not crazy expensive. Hmm, I'm really tempted to buy one! I might need to splurge on a robot to help me with the vacuuming! Now I just need to convince the hubby that we need one...

I've wondered about how roombas do, my question now answered. Tho only one dog, and even tho she has short hair, she can shed a lot. But you are all correct, one look at those big brown eyes, and I've melted into a puddle. Animals are so worth it. 💜🐶
I don't know where the day has gone, here it is going on 3:00 pm and I haven't accomplished a thing. Too much on my to do list. I've got some vacuuming to do myself, and I want to spot wash some walls around door frames and door knobs, as well as some blinds that have fingerprints on them. I just cleaned those blinds too!

Winning (I want a maid and a gardener for my prize.)

P.S. Cat, my sis is going to Japan with her hubby in a couple weeks. Her hubby goes there several times a year (he works as a Japanese interpreter for an auto parts manufacturer that supplies parts to Honda), but my sis Judy has never been there and is ecstatic for this vacation. Made me think of you.

I should have done laundry but my Crohns and my neuropathy are active.

Sandy, I know they'll have a great time in Japan! The food, the people, everything there was just wonderful. I went during cherry blossom season so it was incredibly gorgeous even in the middle of Tokyo. Definitely the best trip I've ever taken and I want to go back! If the language barrier weren't so daunting (there's no way I'll ever learn to read Kanji), I would honestly consider living there.

After my trip I had written a thread specifically about IBD and Japan travel, not sure if this would be helpful to your sister or not but I wrote a lot of detail in here:
http://www.crohnsforum.com/showthread.php?t=77471

Yeah, my dog sheds a ton as well. My 2nd roomba, when it died I took it apart, and the gear box was clogged full of dog hair. There was something wrong with a sensor as well so maybe the dog hair did kill it or maybe it didn't, I'm not sure. My first roomba, we only had the cat at the time and she doesn't shed nearly as much as the dog, so that roomba lasted longer. The 2nd roomba died after about only a year or so of dealing with dog hair. So I can't say I'd recommend roomba if you've got a dog that sheds a lot.

I feel like I've accomplished a lot today! I straightened up the house so that I could vacuum. My hubby feels the need to leave shoes, shirts, various cords, and other random stuff all over the floor, so all that had to get picked up. Then I vacuumed the nooks & crannies, took a break, and vacuumed the floors. No more dog hair tumbleweeds! (For now, ha ha.) Then I even did a little sewing, made some progress on the patchwork quilt that I'm making for my cousin's baby. Baby boy isn't getting his quilt until xmas so there's not a rush, but it still felt good to do something productive. Now I'm waiting until it's about time for hubby to get home from work, and I'm going to zip to the store and pick up a rotisserie chicken because I don't feel like cooking (can't be productive all the time, even on pred, ha). Winning!

Fingers crossed it's not Shedward! Cat hair is my nemesis. With our house currently for sale on the market it seems I'm constantly finding new outbreaks. I've been using a clothing lint roller daily on the bedspread and vacuuming the couch as these seem to be their preferred resting spots. Can't imagine life without them as much as they frustrate me some days.

Cat,you are shaming me with your industry......but our place had a thorough clean before our weekend away, next big clean before Christmas, but I don't do arty farty.Talking of the festive season I'm noticing stuff creeping onto the shelves.Tins of sweets, sweet mince pies,Christmas cakes, cards and 2017 calenders and diaries......Give me strength !!!!

Really hope it's not Shedward Carol....
Incidentally I like history especially of songs...so I don't think a particular song is necessarily a reflection of ones age........?.
Winning.........

Nice try Trysha .......:shifty-t:

We're sure it was Shedward who was squished. There's been no sign of him.His parents have been for their crab stick snacks and his nest mate has been on the opposite chimney (he never comes down) Les had to give one of the neighbours a stern talking to about throwing bread on the road.Seagulls need a bit of a run to take off,and as we are pretty close to the street corner cars are upon them before they have a chance to get airborne. It's the fourth local gull this year to die uneccessarily....we did our best, sigh !!!

I'm sorry to hear about your seagull friend! :( My aunt who lives in Arizona, she feeds the quails and the roadrunners, and I remember she was quite upset when her favorite roadrunner disappeared and presumably died. She would feed him bits of hamburger at her kitchen window, it was quite the sight.

I went back to work today. Taking a bit of a break right now as it's been a stressful day! But hey, I had several hundred emails in my inbox when I got in, and now I'm down to only 32 emails. So I've been productive, and so far the flare has been quiet. Everyone has been really happy that I'm back, too. A co-worker gave me balloons, and everyone I've seen has very enthusiastically welcomed me back. It's nice to feel appreciated. And I know it'll get easier from here, today has been absolutely crazy because of trying to catch up on emails and other tasks. Now that I have done a good chunk of that, tomorrow will be easier.

I'm going to have sushi for dinner to celebrate making it through today. Fortunately rice, fish, nori/seaweed are all allowed on the low-FODMAP diet. So I'm going to pig out a little bit. Have to go for a GI appointment first, but after that, it's sushi time! :) Winning!

My turn for a win. I am playing with my brand new Toshiba Chromebook 2. Nice.

Had an appointment with my G.I. today. My flare has not been put under control as my G.I. thinks it should. He has ordered the Prometheus blood test to check my level of Humira. If it is not at a therapeutic level we may need to go to weekly injections. I also have a colonoscopy scheduled for September 22nd. FUN FUN FUN!!!

Hey, Doug. I just had my blood checked for the Humira level.

That is so upsetting about Shedward! I was really hoping it wasn't him so didn't say anything the other day. I'm very sorry Carol.:sorry:

I went with Doug to his appointment, and came home to find my new notebook as well. We ordered two Chromebook notebooks (so we both win :)), but they had to be shipped from two different sites as neither contractor through Amazon had two in stock at the same time. Doug's actually arrived yesterday (we flipped a coin to see who would get the first one) and as I said, mine was here when we came home from Doug's appointment. So now I'm really winning, but have to go play for awhile to figure out how to use this new toy, er, um, I mean tool. TTYL everyone. Hugs to all. :award2:

Doug, I also have a chromebook in that same brand! It's a great little computer. I got it last year, I wanted a smaller laptop that I could take to appointments and travelling and so on. It came with me to all my iron infusions, and it also came with me to Japan. In fact, it got dropped at one point in Japan on a very hard floor (I think it was marble!) and it was fine, one tiny dent in the plastic but no other damage. I love mine, hope you enjoy yours too!

Sandy, didn't even see your post, we must have posted at the same time! Enjoy your chromebook as well! I should add that when I was in the hospital, my chromebook was my lifeline to the outside world. That's what I was posting on, watching netflix on, doing everything on. It definitely saved my sanity in the hospital.

Just woke for a toilet break lol. Hope the notebooks are all you hope for n enjoy them Sandy n Doug.☺

Gi appointment on 27th.
I have a colo on Oct 4th after waiting that long i cant even remember 😕

:ghug: n love to all 💞💝💕💖

MRI for me next week as long as we're sharing upcoming appointments. Glad it's not a colonoscopy but definitely up there on the anxiety scale for me.

You know, Carol......age is only a number.....
I'm very sad about Shedward...mans inhumanity to animals
He will be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge....
Can't believe I have two specialist appointments tomorrow each within an hour and a half of each other.First is the Orthopedic surgeon who will be injecting steroid into my knee....
Then the Neuro ENT doc to check out the fluid in my head behind the ear......
Magic moments.......not..
Feel like walking away from all of them except the GI ..can't exist without him... and my GP.
Our weather is hot in the daytime and quite chilly at night...a hybrid of summer and Fall...
Seems colonoscopies are in fashion right now..good luck Mandy Ron and Doug, sorry you are still having problems also Shanen with the MRI
Cat... congratulations on your transition back to work be careful not to overdo things
Sandy congrats on the new chrome book many happy hours with it.
Hi! To Everyone...be well as soon as you can and enjoy the Fall season.
Winning..
Trysha

I get my blood work done tomorrow to test my humira and azathioprine levels. Also testing to see if I have bacteria bug in my intestines. Ultra sound on gall bladder and a gastroscopy to come soon.

The pain is bad at the moment but hospital apt went well. Hence all the tests.

Oh, Kirsty, I hope you get feeling better very soon. I hope you can find some good quality of life between the pain and illness you deal with constantly. Same with you, Trysha. A few months back, Doug had to have some fluid drained from behind his eardrum and it really helped. Hope they can help you too. I really admire you both.

Well, Doug and I both fell asleep with our notebooks on our laps last night. :rof: I think I'm learning to navigate fairly well, even though I haven't used a laptop in several years. As to a desktop computer, I haven't even really used one of those in several years either. The last one we got never worked quite right for either of us, and it would never recognize me as a user (no matter what we did in settings) and I couldn't access my files, so a lot of good that did. This is heaven! I've downloaded the apps I knew I wanted to download, got my settings set, and have figured out how to access anything I need (and with minor things know how to get information to get what I need if I haven't learned it already). Like I said, this is heaven! Doug was telling me that it would take awhile to get used to using the small keyboard, but after using my phone for so long, not a problem at all. Heaven, heaven, heaven.
But for now, better log off as I never finished my chores I mentioned the other day, just couldn't function then finally fell asleep. Feeling much better today, must be the magic laptop.:cool::cool:

I saw a funeral go by and asked who had died

A local man said : It's the fella in the box.......Winning ?

Just about to feed my Ladies and then do breakfast and pills. Yesterday I weeded two buckets of weeds for my Ladies, and then made some corn and cheese muffins. Then I did roast potatoes and pumpkin with sausages for tea with gravy. I need to do my blood tests etc today too. I must not forget that.

I got some ointment form the hospital for rectal cramps. I have to say they are just as bad as bowel cramps that refer pain to my left shoulder tip. With rectal cramps they are challenging and unpredictable. The ointment is another version of the spray for angina but for the butt [emoji12][emoji1]. Here's hoping it helps the pain.

Today I will try to do some weeding one or two more buckets for my Ladies. If you were all living here I could give you heaps of eggs. The yolks are so golden.

Happy Friday everybody [emoji897][emoji511][emoji487][emoji894][emoji489][emoji896][emoji895][emoji488][emoji517][emoji509][emoji499]☕️[emoji485][emoji483][emoji484][emoji521][emoji526][emoji523][emoji893][emoji505][emoji494][emoji491][emoji490][emoji497][emoji500][emoji498][emoji493][emoji495][emoji496][emoji515][emoji517][emoji513][emoji516][emoji479][emoji898][emoji847][emoji847][emoji847][emoji847][emoji847][emoji847][emoji847][emoji847][emoji847]

Those eggs sound divine! I love eggs! Those cramps sound awful, though. I haven't had rectal cramps but I've had a lot of issues with internal hemorrhoids so I know how terrible rectal pain can be. I hope the spray helps!

It's only Thursday evening here, not Friday yet! It's 5 PM on Thursday.

As for me, it's my dog's birthday today, and I spent way too much money buying her a cake. :p It's peanut butter and carrot, it's specially made for dogs. It's kind of a big cake, so she's only getting part of it today (she's a bit fat anyway!). She's already so excited, though, I let her sniff the cake box yesterday and she got very wide-eyed and excited. She's turning 8, which seems like a big birthday - only one more birthday in the single digits after this one. Hopefully she has many more birthdays to come, no matter how big and expensive the cake is. :)

How awesome getting your dog a doggie cake. My big boy is having birthday next Friday. I'll be getting him a cake too

Hi Kirsty you can always post us some eggs 😃lol. Glad the ladies are happy n laying well for you..
Hope the cramps go soon hun ❤

Cat hope your doggy enjoyed the cake. Heres to many more birthdays 🐶🍰.

Love n hugs to all 💕💖 :ghug:

I think dogs over eight are classified as senior.Over here that gives the insurance companies carte blanche to put the premiums up.Disgraceful.Thing is once you've insured your darling you're afraid to stop it in case you're tempting providence.I paid thousands in pet insurance over the years, and I think I got £30 back about twenty years ago,I stopped Alfies and ended up paying almost £2,000 vet bill. But I'm not complaining about it,just saying...Cat,how cruel of you to let that poor dog "sniff" the cake hahaha.

Kirsty, your butt pain sound awful.I went through a phase of proctalgia and sometimes I cried out aloud when it happened.Usually when I was alone in a crowd of strangers.Hasn't shown up for a while,I'm happy to say.

Aw, if my dog is now a senior then that means all my pets are seniors! My cat turned 13 in May. And I have a pair of gerbils who just turned 2 (they tend to live 2-3 years max). This makes me kind of sad, like all my pets are aging and won't be around a whole lot longer. :( My dog is a corgi, though, and I know they can live to be like 15 in some cases. I hope my dog can make it that long (as long as she's healthy and has a good quality of life, of course). She still acts like a puppy - heck, my cat still acts like a kitten, and my gerbils still act like, um, whatever the term is for a baby gerbil. :p They're all active with no big health issues. My gerbils still run in their exercise wheel every night, my cat loves toys and catnip and is as sassy as ever, my dog loves going to the park and running around with her corgi friends (our neighbor has 2 corgis). So hopefully they'll all be healthy for awhile yet and have many more years ahead of them.

Speaking of corgis, there is a corgi picnic that I'll be going to in just over a week. Last year, there were 80 corgis and their owners, all gathered in a park. It was so much fun and so cute! I'm excited to go again!

Hiya ladies, Ron and Doug :) Hope you are all okay. Just peeping in for a win!

All I can do is peep,.coz I joined a zumba class yesterday and I can't move a muscle :rof:

Good for you Madhu.I used to do three fitness/dance classes a week post crohns, and I loved it.We had such a good laugh, and when the pain wears off you'll be on a high.
Cat,eight isn't old,so don't worry. That's the prime of life for dogs.Love the idea of a pic-nic.When we were away at the weekend there was a sponsored rescue Pug walk, where we stayed.I had a tear in my eye. There were about 50 dogs and owners....People are nice eh ?.........some of them !!!

Cat you have a wonderful pet family. I like the idea of the corgi picnic. Maybe you could take a pic and post it here?

My cat Teesha just peed on the toilet mat. I woke up thinking one of cats had peed in the bedroom. Just cleaned the floor threw mat outside till morning. Not sure why she's not using the clean kitty litter.

Hi all my old dog was nearly 20 when he passed...so could have a long time to go yet Cat.☺

Hope everyone has had a good day/evening.

We had an American Eskimo (dog) that lived until he was 18. Different dog breeds all have different life expectancies too.

Kirsty, cats are very prone to developing crystals in the kidneys which, in turn, causes them to stop using the litter box so well. Diet can have a huge impact on it, and believe it or not, fish products is a major contributor. It has been years since we were in that position, but we had to buy a very expensive "prescription" cat food for awhile. You might want to Google what to feed your cat and see if that helps. Hopefully, kitty will be ok. (We went back to a good regular cat food after awhile because the Rx food I think was mostly gimmick for vets and manufacturer to make money. )
Were off to another non reality day. Our freezer is full of all the fish we can use, so it is only catch and release today. Doug informed me that tomorrow we've got to get back to reality. :rof:
