We had a team meeting today about 25 of us. We were planning an overnight stay on a Marae for team building. We all sleep in an open building with Maori carvings. I said to the person next to us"some of us may need to buy some" someone else asked what was that do she said " kirst will need to buy some" now that made me go red!!

I think I will be talking to myself by morning again. sleep tight. I think I'm going to walk, barefoot, in the snow.

At the moment I am drinking wine and singing to the DVD of the Melbourne tour of the eagles, and dancing

so pleased this week is nearly over, been a crap week, thought i had retired from being a mechanic, but no one told my kids.

I don't know anyone except Doug in the US mountain time zone. (I don't know all the international time zone abbr.)

OK, Happy VD everyone, to bed to bed and the little one said roll over roll over, they all rolled over and the one fell out!ETC>............

Valentinesday win. Spending it with my dog. lol. And spending it packing so I can be ready to go to Tunisia with my love tomorrow. Fun-!

you can send your dog over here so the dogs have a Valentine sweetheart too.

I am alone cause hubs is never here, always on work. Next week he leaves Tuesday and comes back 7 nights later

I pulled everything out of the bedroom so I can organize it. I don't think I'll be done by morning. uh oh!

Sanni, you go to all these exotic places. how long are you going to be gone? Maybe Kirsty can hold your place while you are gone, or are you going to have internet access? poor Doug has never been out of the US. we are going to try to get him to Canada this year.

It's ok as there is always tomorrow

I've said that for too long on too many things. (my dog is trying to get me to go to bed. She is whining at me to join Doug where she claims her spot - sideways on the bed in the middle. (We are bad parents.)

My cats don't sleep with me when hubs is away as they want to play from about 2 am

Allie sleeps about as much as me now, crooked back, hips and all.
I think I better start moving again or I will never get up. (poor allie is crying now). TTYL. (HEY, I just saw an ad where they were talking about going to New Zealand! I don't know what the ad was about though.)

that was supposed to say ad about something else, but in ad they were going to N.Z.

that would be more spectacular than I could imagine. stay well, all, okay? Thanks for letting me out of "time out". It has been a very hard couple or three of weeks. Prob. some of hardest ever.

I am alone today cuz I live alone.. but ofc the pets are here. Wilho can be Allies valentine. :D

I think Tunisia is about as exotic as I can get. Crohn's and my healt limit some vaxinations so can't go to countrys that need them. Also I can't handle really long flights too well. Would love to see Autralia or New zealand sometimes. Would be my dream. Last year we went to Iceland and that was the most awesome trip I ever had. Later this year we will be going to southern France (my mans sister lives there) so looking forward to that one too. But never been to Africe before.. or a muslim country.. so expecting a coulture shock. But then its a beach resort so not sure how much real culture I will see. lol

Iceland really does sound awesome. But so does Finland to me. sometimes just getting out of this house without fear of a seizure, hence, the new Neuro and the new testing today. (not new kind of testing to me, just new eyes on results, and more especially, somebody who will actually treat me). it sounds like enough of you have to jump through hoops to get the care you need, that you would understand, and I know you are no exception Sanni. Actually, when I've heard some of what you have to go through to get what you need, I'm astounded.
wouldn't it be nice to reverse who is the caretaker/caretakee and who decides what for awhile? but I'm just a dreamer.
well, gotta go move again. earlier, I had to chase Allie down the street as I thought I could trust her in the middle of the night with no leash and no people around. the cold air woke me for a bit, but I might have to roll in the snow myself this time.
See ya later, alligators. (a term of endearment here.)

Sandy, reversing roles with the caretakers for a day or two would be awesome. Just so they would know all we have to go through. And for sure make them have the colonoscopy prep on one of the days. ;) Its hard to be sick these days. You have to constantly demand your rights.. if you dont know how, dont have some one to do it for you or are too weak you are lost in the system and will never get the care you deserve. I am fighting for some social benefit rights here in Finland and thank goodnes have a friend in the same situation so we get strenght from one an other. We plan to take it publick, but its so exhausting fighting the system that to take something to public would probably push us both off the edge. SO once we win our battles we will take it forward and make sure others wont have to fight so hard to get what is theirs.

Hugs, hugs, and more hugs, Sanni. To both of you.

wish me luck. off to fight our system (at least get the health care I need).

You have a blast sanni!!!! Make sure you take pictures and bring us some to see!!! Loves!!!

Happy Valentine's Day, my sweet friends! Linda, I have an 11 year old at home, in additon to the 18 year old.

My son is 8. Driving him to school was a new experience in patience. We had freezing rain and then snow last night.

We had snow and on my way home around 9pm all the roads had been salted till I got 2 blocks from my own home. They were a mess!!! I drove for an hr.

Oh my gosh, sorry for your weather, girls! We had 50 something temps and sunshine yesterday, but think flurries are heading in tonight or tomorrow night. I am so ready for spring. Glad to see the days getting a little longer again, hate the short days of winter. I am solar powered, apparently, the short daylight months kill me, as well as too many days of clouds and/or rain.
Linda, I think just getting Jacob up in the mornings is an excercise in patience, lol! No,he does good most mornings but some mornings he is a handful!

We are supposed to get snow tmoro and Sat and Sun. then Mon. rain and warmer. I am ready for spring too, but am scared if it comes too early and we get a frost, there goes all the blossoms again and it kills the fruits and veggies. The seasons are certainly mixed up for sure just like my brain!:D

They are much less hard on you but make as much of a mess sometimes!!!!
Sanni, how long are you going away for???

I am there for one week. My dog goes to my moms. She lives about a 15 min walk from my place so she will stop by every other day to care for the cats too. The "girls" can manage on their own. Just need the box cleaned and fresh water.

I think I get off pretty easy with my pets. I was once talking with a woman I see on our walks quite often with 2 golden retrivers and was saying something about just keeping my white carpet clean. She said if thats my biggest problem with mess in the house I really have no problems at all. She would never imagine having a white carpet. lol. Shes probably right.

Well, we had that drought last summer, and have really only had one good snow that hung around for awhile before it finally melted, so we need some sort of precipitation, that's for sure. But yeah, we get that here almost every year, stuff starts to bud out in the warm weather then we get a cold night with a frost...

I can't believe you have a white carpet Sanni.Even if I didn't have alfie,my hubs STEPS OVER the door mats,He says its because he doesn't want to dirty them, therefore giving me more work. He's all heart (and very little brain).............Enjoy your holiday with your fella, you lucky, lucky woman x

Lynn, my son jumps out of bed at 6, even on the weekends. :ywow: This morning he was up at 5:30. He says he hates wasting time sleeping. I just hope it changes as he gets older, because I enjoy getting enough sleep.

Carol, Does Alfie like the snow. my Wilho goes crazy if i toss snowballs with him. Its so fun. Only thing is he eats the snowballs and then has to pee real bad a couple hours later. :D Today had to take him out just to pee 2 extra times. But then he sure had fun too.

Yes,Sanni he loves the snow.He slides along on the side of his face and loves to roll too.I've had to buy him a coat this week.Since he was poorly last year, his hair has gone from thick and wirey to very soft and silky.I didn't buy it for the snow as much as the very wet and windy weather we've had a lot of this winter. He will also roll in the mud if I don't keep an eye on him.Oh.to be a well loved dog eh,Sanni. What a life they have.

Oh I am so happy Wilho does not like the mud. He does not like rain either. On our walks he will jump over puddles. But he likes the snow. Today he did however ger a bath once we got home.. mostly since hes going to my moms for a week so I want to hand them over a clean dog.
