723,

I am doing better. I have to go to the clinic tomorrow morning for more blood work, then I am going to see my crohn's doc on Monday. I am really hoping for a good report this time. :)

I have been going back to the gym three days a week so that I don't gain too much weight back now that I am starting to get better.

As far as work... My students are keeping me busy!! I have been going to football games and working on fall studies. I love my students! <3 They make me want to get better faster so that I can keep up with their super busy lives!!

How have you been?

Great job Trev! Are you almost done now? Do you and your family camp alot?
Where do you go in the summer? I used to camp every year. All I have now is a tent and loaned it to my son and still never got it back. I used to take my grandson every year. We had fun but, I hate getting all bit up. They bite me even with bug repellant on!!:ymad:

hi Teresa, still got a bit to do, can see the big light at the end of the tunnel now. we live in our motor home so spend most of the year on the road, our son lives in our house so we can park in the drive when needed and use my workshop. the bugs like me too. we are fishing mad and have to take the boat with us in summer.

Other than the stomach flu last Fri.-Tues. not bad. Crohn's is under control and just get headaches from my neck alot.
Your students are lucky to have such a nice teacher. I bet they love you! What grades do you teach?

Teresa have you tried Rawleighs pain oil for headaches? just rub it on your forehead, works great for me.

Nice of you to let your son live in your house! Camping year round would be fun, traveling all over is our dream someday. But we have to hit the lottery first!:ysmile:

I am a youth director at a chruch, so I have students in grades 7-12. Our group is really young (mostly 9th and 8th grade boys!) but we are growing! I just strated working there in June, so my plate is always full.

Sorry to hear about the flu :( that is no fun.

Great that you work in church! I love my church.

The flu is all gone now, but thanx Jamie!!!;)

Rawleighs sell door to door here, you dont need to use much, i dab it on my finger and rub it on my forehead, also a little on my top lip as breathing it also helps.

Hi,Doug you're up early but the early bird doesn't get the prize in this game and I WIN AGAIN.( as you UTANS proffess to know what the prize is,can I just say that if it's edible you can have it.It'll be rather whiffy by now)

Good mornig all,
You were all busy already this morning. I slept in. Have a sonogram this afternoon and other test before that. At least it's not an MRI where you lay there still for 45 min. That is in Feb.
Carol, my probation officer heard of you!:ylol:

Good Luck with your tests, let us know the results when you get them.I have a Liver scan tomorrow and blood test on Tues.It comes to something when a visit to the Docs is the extent of my social life.

Hi Cheryl,It's gloomy day here too but it's 4pm and all done for the day except a quick dog walk.Thinking about putting the heating on,but fighting it.It's months since it was on and the bills have been very acceptable but it's gonna be a long winter.Might just settle for a warmer housecoat and see how it goes.Hope you are keeping well and Jacob too.

Morning, Carol! I'm with you, I'd rather get a month or two without the heating bill or the air conditioning bill, the electric bill has KILLED me the last 2 months with our heatwave we had going. Yesterday didn't get out of the 50's, quiet a change. We are keeping well, for the most part, lol! How are you and hubs doing?

Too bad you don't live close, I'd meet you for tea and a scone or whatever you eat over thereLOL! I will keep you posted, and you do the same Carol!!!

Hi everyone,

I know I have not been around much lately but am still soooo tired, I do have a really good reason for it though.............I am going to have a baby!!!! I had my first scan Monday and all is well, the baby bounced a lot and we even got a wave and yawn. Along with the fatigue I am also hungry a lot of the time but luckily so far the crohns is behaving itself. Me and hubby are soooo excited, it has taken me 3 years to get my health to a stage where we dare to try and start a family and then it happened within a couple of months - I think someone 'out there' thought I finally deserved a bit of luck with this defective body of mine.

Faye xx

Teresa - hope things went well today for you!

Hot air balloons.

I hope everyone is doing well.
Doug's statement back on his last post was part of the U of U's "fight song." We play our rivals tonight (BYU). And we DO know what the prize is. Ask Jessi, one of the forum moderators. I guarantee it is MUCH bigger and better than food. It is a HUGE prize!

I am back now, aren't you happy? Sonogram went fine, but won't get results
till Monday at least and even then, they don't call unless something is wrong.
Where is everyone today?

congratulations Faye!!!! That is wonderful! Couldn't be better news! Keep us :ghug::heart:informed!

you all are way too fast for me. I can't keep up at all with this thread. Congrats on having a baby angrybird.

I am off to spend the week end.. so you won't see me here for a couple days. Enjoy the weekend everyone.

Robert you are funny at times, a party would be good although I most probably would end up being the designated driver!

Yep. No drinking for you. But it would be interesting to see how you drove us to the US, Canada, Finland, New Zealand, etc.

got to watch out for the drivers in USA, they drive on the wrong side of the road. they do the same when they come here.

My British nephew-in-law had a hard time learning to drive on the correct side of the road for here, also.

And I win because I have a new grand nephew also. I don't know how many nephews, nieces, and grand nephews and nieces I have. Too many.

:kiss:I had a good laugh. Had my earplugs on and every once in a while would let out a laugh, and Doug would look at me like I was strange. Gotta go, everyone have a good night, morning out whatever it is.

Hi everyone - how y'all doing? It's sat night and the All Blacks are playing South Africa (in rugby) I have had to Woodford Reserve bourbons tonight - totally yummy! My favourite drink - it's the best. I have it with coke zero and ice to be kinder to my stomach and diabetes :ylol2: :ylol2: :ylol2:

Girl friends coming over for afternoon tea tomorrow. Hubby off to Christchurch for study at lunch time and is back on Wed nite. I got jab day on Monday.

Great to have the win - thank you ...thank you...thank you....it feels so special to have this win

Robert, after the first 40 it's only 5 - 3 to the All Blacks - not a lot happening apart from mistakes. They can't blame the wind as the roof is closed.

Should be fun tomorrow - thought you would swing round for a bourbon - but that would probably be more like Doug, Sandy - any other bourbon drinkers around?

Thought you'd get a kick as did I Sandy. Thay were amazing~weren't they???:thumright:

I think he'll be quite pleased you said that Teresa............I can just see him puffing his chest out with pride, the old perv.

Nah, I am never far away - safer if I know what you are all up too

I knew it, you are sitting back smoking cigars, reading the Enquirer and drinking bourbon till you can't stop laughing. Then you join in and see how many of us fall for your bait!

I loved bourbon and coke in my old days, but don't tell Doug, he doesn't know. I also loved gin and tonic. When we met eighteen years ago neither one of us drank, and haven't since. I think it has been about 25 years since I had alcohol. The bourbon was about 35 years ago.

Oops! I think I just told! (he really didn't know about the bourbon. He knew about the wine. Drinking is against our religion.)

Did my share over the years, but when you live with an alcoholic (!st husband) it kind of lases it's appeal.

Well, gotta go Sandy, I'll talk to you later on. Have to get ready to go, if we go. Mike's watching an old movie. Talk later on!!

Back for the win. We aren't leaving now till 4pm. The Pitt college game is on and Mike went to Pitt. They are winning.

6 weeks Robert ~better get your readers checked!!

I'm ignoring you Robert (and maybe you too Teresa, angel lady. Quit making me laugh and trying to explain to Doug. I could have said something here, by accident mind you, and they would have stopped the thread.)

Our Utes game isn't until 8:00, but because parking is horrible and I have to park in the so-called handicapped section, we have to be there two hours early normally. Since this is the "holy wars" as they call it (or big, big rivalry Brigham Young University), we will probably have to leave about 4:00. 2:00 East coast time. Now that stinks!:stinks:
