Look I couldn't mention everyone - besides they were all getting a roasting. I mentioned Alfie on another thread. Thinking about starting a Kylie thread - I think there will be enough interest. Changed my avatar earlier - but changed it back - how vain is that?

Is Thanksgiving very different from Christmas - in terms of the food?

You're forgiven........how about we organise a trip to the States next thanksgiving ? We could start a savings club after Christmas for those who are interested.We'll go round them all for a feed.Then we could go to N.Z and have a feed at Kirstys then you can visit Trev, then to AUS. where tou can grovel to Dusty.And on the way home we'll stop at Sannis'.....:)

Why was I getting a roasting???!!!! I was simply trying to be more like you! Immatation is the higest form of flattery!!! Grrrrrrrrr!!!!!

Food wise, not so different here. Though we have some ethnic traditions that differ from holiday to holiday. Like potica...yummmmm.
Usually today is turkey, christmas maybe ham. But in America we have turned eating into a sport! Lol!!! All of our holidays have just become our big competitions!!! Lmao!!

Great plan. Sounds fun.

I am steel feeling cranky today (I think I will blame it on the flu shot).. Jut had some pizza.. that helps a bit. And I have a pice of chocolate cake waiting for evening tea. My mom gave it to ma as a thank you that I gave them a ride to my step dad's office christmas party. So that was nice.

But there was an accident on the way home. Why is it when you drive past an accidet you just have to look.. wish I had not. Someone hit a deer.. or youg moose. Not sure which. And Just as I drove past the police where pulling the ½ carcass off to the side of the road. Nasty and sad. Poor thing. I gues I am thankfull it was not me who had him apear in front of my car. In that road you would never expect it. Its a highway and still in city limits so you just don't drive and look out for animals, cus usually there isnt anything that big. Poor thing.
 
Y ou're not having a very good day are you Sanni? If you're anything like me you'll want to be left alone to get on with it.....I usually know I'm going to be ok tomorrow,so don't want anyone asking me if I'm alright.It's so sad about the deer.I would be distraught if that happened to me.Of course we don't want to be running people down either.
 
You are right about that. I still need to drive the car back to mom's (I don't have a car and she lives a 15 min walk away so I can incorpert it into my evening walk with Wilho). After that its tea, chocolate cake, Mentalist and silence. :)

And true.. would have been even worse if it had been a human and not "just" an animal. But still.. its sad when things like this happen. The car that hit it did not look too bad. So I am sure the people are ok.

A year ago today, I was at a funeral home tying up loose ends for my Gramps burial, which was a year ago tomorrow. He was not just my Gramps, but one of my closest friends. I miss him dearly and thought today would be horrible for my emotions. But Gramps just sent my hubby and myself an amazing gift! So even your growling at me wont ruin my mood!!! Niener niener!!!! This is one of the coolest days of my life now!

You can keep bein a grumpy bear to me, I will just smile and wish you the best and send tonsa hugs!!!!!! :hug:

That's too funny Kirsty! What color did you paint them? I change my nail polish almost daily!! Its an illness really! :lol: The worst I have done is paint my toenails, while I drove down the road! ...oooops!

Just finished up with our dinner out with adopted G-pa George. He was happy n not alone. Wow, wiped me out. Ugh. But still kckin woohoo. Muah. Hope all had a great meal. Did turkey n ham both here, always do. Better that way, get your choice. - hugs-

It went great Sandy, but Jen and them didn't stay real long. They r a little agoraphobic and felt weird around strangers, But it was great to see them and be around eveyone for the holiday! I might have them here for Christmas. My Hubs would go nuts~SHORT TRIP!!!:lol2:

you're so kind. I always liked my eyes, but you have beautiful skin. I got to see niece I haven't seen in about five years. they were living in N.C., now the family is in Indiana. Niece came down to go to B.Y.U., but I think I'm corrupting her already.
 
Give all my own shots. HATE needles, but give the most gentle perfect injections. IF i do choose to find my way into this new " boost your immune system" trial, I'll be giving myself an injection every other day. Ugh!! What scares me, is that if i do i could potentially die if i got placebo, if i don't, i may never be bouncy n bubbly again. It seems i owe my girls that. :)
 
U R brave Angel.. But you have always been an Angel. your girls are lucky to have you. I heard how sweet and gentle you talked to them when I was on the phone with you.

I think u should be very careful Angel and think about this! It sounds too dagerous and u have kids who rely on u. U can't risk hurting yourself! I know it's so hard to be a normal Mom now, but at least u r here and u give them love everyday!!!:ghug:
