OMG, are lung troubles common with Crohns???? :eek2:

I had a spontaneous collapse when I was 16, then have had a half dozen more prior to Crohn's. Since the Crohn's, I am having more frequent pain in my lungs, every few days, small collapses, so I thought I'd better check it out.
 
Sneaking in for a quickie.Cleaned the oven today,wasn't too bad at all as I do it quite regularly.Plays hell with the arthritis in my hands though.I think I was born to have "Staff".To late now though,can't be bothered to look for husband no.2.....Winning
 
Only looked away for a few minutes and this thread has 4 new posts? This is insanely quick.

And I cleaned the oven in my uni flat which has another 5 people living in it the other day. I have no idea what they're cooking or how they're making such a mess, but wow. How long until our houses clean themselves?

Yes, it is common. Look it up on the forums or threads on this forum. Many people including Jbug have terrible lung problems. I never so much as had a sniffle till crohn's. Now runny nose, cough, and congestion almost all the time. Weird!!!:eek::eek::eek:

I was that staff and still am for my sister. My hands hurt so bad that I can't do my own house for days after hers. Mine is much smaller at least!
 
Back from my walk. And yeah it was cold. Its only -3 (26F) but there is a wind that makes it feel so much colder.

I had a bone density scan today. Will get result next week at my doctors apointment. But the woman doing the scan said it looked ok. So I will see if eating anti-osteoporosis meds AND exersizing since I got the dog has reversed the deterioation of my bones. I sure hope so. Also havent had cortisone for atleast 4 years now I think.:dance:
 
If it's full of crazies I'm likely to fit in! :p

And I've been on osteoporosis meds for the past.. I think about 3 years now. Hope it goes away at some point so I don't end up with a bad back in my 20s!
 
Now Teresa - I blame you for setting Dusty off again on the 'Crush' thread - whatever I do she just seems to get more popular - why do people not listen to me?

I think I need to restore order around here. Going to think about a suitable crush now - I am not too demanding:

Must be beautiful
Must like chocolate
Must agree with me
Must laugh at my jokes (are you listening Dee)
Must be a balance to my shallowness
Must constantly boost my fragile ego
Must not get jealous

Yep, I think I am quite a catch ladies!
 
p.s. the support was meant as sarcasm.!!!!!!!....you've obviously got no chance with all those demands. But I DO like chocolate.

Good luck with the scan. Mine showed detioration. Now being sent to a lung specialist. Sheesh this crohn's really likes to spread it's effects all around through one's body, eh?

A catch? The last thing I caught was an infection and that didn't work so well. :ybatty:

Thanx. I know. This sicknes is no way easy. I was diagnosed with deterioration of the bones 2 years back (Osteopenia). But lucky for me thay have been doing that scan about every 2 years for a while so they got that one in time to hopefully reverse it. So I am hoping so.

I dont know what place Crohn's wont effect. I gues when your own body attacks you it does it good. :ybatty:
 
Fight it with everything you've got hun! God gave us his power to heal, so trust him for healing. I say it everyday that he has healed me and thank him!:hug:

Hey, I've got that osteopenia stuff too, found out 2 weeks ago. Nothing being done about it yet, but will see in spring if infusions are needed for this as well.

For me they started a pill I take once a week.. can't remember the name of it but its for osteoporosis. And if it has not helped (since I have such big problems with absorbing things) they will try it in infusion form. But 2 years back is also when I got my dog si I have increased the amount of exersize I do bo over 100% :lol: so that alone might allready help. So I am hopefull about this one. Not too exited about having to have infusions. Wouldn't it be woth trying the pill for you first too. Infusions are so hard on the body. :(
 
So I got to know today that when desiding to participate in the company x-mas party I have also agreed to be in on a secret santa gift thingy. So again I am stressing out on what to give this person. I was thinking I get a cute little packet from the Body Shop that had some handlotion and a nail file. Pack it up and get a small christmas ornament to put on the packet. That sounds alright? Or is it too boring? Thi price limit is 5-10€. so something small it would have to be.

And I know.. silly to stres stupid little things like this.

Your gift idea sounds very lovely and quite appropriate for the occasion.
It troubles me also to be pushed into buying something for an office party.
But sometimes its better to go along with it and keep the peace.

Not sure about that one Robert. But ill keep tho option in mind.

Its hard becus I am new there and have no idea what sort of things they usually do. But I gues I will go with what I would like and think is nice.

Also I got to know that the new guy that started today is going to spend part of his day observing my work tomorrow. Pressure! The idea is that since what i do is the first step in the chain of work he will be doing that he learns from me what sort of proses the whole system will be. Im getting a bit nervous about having him sitting around though.
 
No need to worry about a new guy watching you work Sanni, heck he's new, so you could do whatever you like and claim this is how you do it in this office!

As for gifts I'm no use. Although of the last 3 gifts I had to get people I got
1. A banana suit
2. Face paint
3. Toy train

It's got to the point where people expect this sort of gift from me now, so it works out alright.

I'm doing good Cheryl, just got back from Walmart. Trying to find a BEYBLADE toy that is the one this kid wants and of course out of 100 I looked at, none were the right ones!:(

Well, you have me beat, I would not even know what it is, lol! If Jacob or Faith aren't into something, I may not even realize it's on the market, lol!
 
They are like the old tops that spin, but much fancier and all different ones. They have a zipline you pull and they fly off to the floor or into a dome you can buy for them. They are really cool. Got them for my niece last year.:)
 
I kind of liked those mechanical "bugs" they have had out the last couple of years...forget what they call them.
 
They are in with toys too, usually same aisle as Legos at Walmart anyways. Trying to think of what they call them.

Im pretty new at the office too. Only been there ½ a year and I am not even a "real" employee (I'm in a program where I get to see how well I can handle the work world.. I only do 4 hours per day.. and I only have this week and next week left of it). So yeah. Its a bit intimidating. But then he does not know all that does he. :tongue: And its his second day only. So I suppose hes more stressed about it then I am. :ycool:

Yeah. I mean now they have no excuse for now dressing up for halloween!

The office guys must think you're a good worker if they're choosing you to show the new guy around instead of the "real" employees! :tongue: He probably is going crazy about it, so no matter how nervous you are just remember this guy is going to be horrified!

I've got to quit playing on this forum and put a tree up (or any decoration) and start my Christmas shopping.

Hubs was watching "TWO BROKE CHICKS". So not my style. It's a guy show if u ask me!!!
I usually weigh myself almost everyday. If I looked like u I don't think I would worry about it.:)
 
And just read your PM. foster agency meeting went very well, but it was emotional for both of us. didn't expect that.
