Help Support Crohn's Disease Forum:

Years ago, I felt like God wanted me to give up caffeine. I struggled with it for a while before I gave it up. Could that be why I still struggle with issues with Crohn's?

Ron, I think we can beat ourselves up about what we have eaten/drank in the past. All you can do is the best you can. I think caffeine is suppose to aggravate Crohn's, but from what I keep reading nothing we eat causes Crohn's. Take care of yourself and keep listening to God!

Also, there are a lot of us non-crohnies who would now have crohns if that were the case. I'm struggling, and have been forever it seems like, with quitting diet coke and Pepsi.

I just found out my best friend from high school days was found unconscious at her home after not reporting to work for the third day in a row. She has a brain aneurysm and although still alive, not in very good shape. Please send prayers for her and her family, especially for peace and comfort. I don't think she'll be around much longer.

May the Lord carefully and precisely guide your gastroenterologist so they can begin to fulfill God's plan of full healing for you Ron.

Just want you all to know that prayers work! My friend is now talking and walking (miraculously). Still has a long road in front of her, but it looks like she will pull thru.
God bless all of you for your support. And Ron, of course prayers are sent your way. Praying for guidance for your doctor to help you in the best possible way, and less pain and lots of comfort.

Yay!! Do you still have symptoms or is this just routine? I get my routine one in October.
Kit

I have some symptoms and my doctor is talking about sending me to either John Hopkins or Mayo Clinic. My prayer is for John Hopkins.

I think I have heard John Hopkins has a really good Gastroenterolgy group. I pray all goes well and keep us updated! New medications continually come out. Healing to all!

I go on the 15th of September for results of the biopsies from the colonoscopy. Please pray for good results.

Oh, Ron, I'm so sorry! Prayers definitely being sent your direction, and I do believe in miracles too. Usually miracles come a small piece at a time, by small measures.

I slept 11 hours last night. It felt good, but still just kinda mellow today. Football time! I hope you can enjoy your day.

Hi, all! I am in need of prayers for healing. I had my gallbladder removed the day before Thanksgiving and am not healing very well and having a tough time.

Thank you for your support!

Lord we lift Ali29 up to you so that you can provide complete and unyielding healing post surgically. We know you are the ultimate healer and physician God. We pray this in Jesus name, Amen.

Hello All,
I am so glad I found this group; Prayer is so powerful! I will be starting Cimzia on Wednesday January 14th. After an anaphylactic reaction to Humira, I am somewhat nervous. Please pray all goes well and the healing begins!

@Linda- May the Lord be with you as you start this new medication. We ask for no ill side effects and remission of Crohn's symptoms. We ask for healing, peace and your loving presence. In Jesus name,
Amen

Lord we pray that Linda60 will have a life changing exp for the better with Cimzia and that she will be fully restored as you made her in your glorious image. Amen.

Thank you for all the prayers and support. I had my starter dose of cimzia yesterday. It did not go well, I ended up in the ER just as I did with Humira. I believe we are going to try Entyvio next.

so sorry Linda :-( . I hope you can find a medication that will help and your body will accept! Prayers of encouragement and peace to you.

Well im finding it hard with crohns and my school work since its my first time for exams im finding a hard time also with other things so pray for a easy well being please.

I respect all religions and beliefs.

Linda, I'm so sorry things did not go well. You are still in prayers, praying that the doctors can be guided to what would help you the most, and peace and comfort while they find it.
Imran, also praying for you. I also try to respect all religions and beliefs, and appreciate those that do. I do, however, believe in a kind, benevolent God, even tho humanity is fraught with problems. Praying that you find peace and well being in an overwhelming time. It does sound like you have a lot you are dealing with right now.

Lord, we pray for NGNG, please give healing, peace, no pain and mental clarity on all the decisions to make.
We also pray for Imran to ease the difficulty of exams. Please give mental sharpness and focus to be able to finish and study. We also pray for healing and calming of symptoms.

May the Lord give us encouragement, love, peace and healing as we go on with our daily lives.

Kit

Prayers are being said for you Ron, and hope that your pain has subsided NGNG. If not, prayers being said for you too. Prayers being said for all those on this forum that need it.

Just a quick update for me and mine, tho still on oxygen, I'm doing a lot better emotionally, and I find that too be 3/4ths the battle. Doug is hanging in there too. Thank you for your prayers on our behalf. Yesterday I received news that my brother-in-law had a stroke and was being flown from his small town hospital to a more major hospital. Please send prayers his direction and to his wife, Sue, my sis. They also can't seem to catch a break. My sister several months ago had a bad case of diverticulitis and fistulas and had to have extensive surgical repair between bowel and bladder and elsewhere, and now this. Thanks.

praying! Lord, please be with Sandy's brother in law and sister. May your healing touch be on him and grant him a quick recovery. Give the physicians wisdom to treat him effectively. We pray in Jesus name. Amen

So glad you all are here. New to Crohn's, long time believer, but am under it with a fear of a bad flare, as my husband has early stage Alzheimer's and can't really be left alone. It is not just run of the mill worry, but way beyond my usual which I can just pass off. I think it may be related to the steroids. Thanks. If it's not too silly, could you also pray for my diabetic kitty, Andy?

God cares about everything. Sending prayers. Can you all pray for me to catch up with laundry and bills.

I missed your post, Marlena, when you first posted it, but I'll pray for continued peace. You have a lot in your plate.

Prayers sent from here too. You don't want to mess with chest pain, please go to the doc/ER now! You are definitely in thoughts and prayers.

Praying NGNG and agreed get it checked out soon! Please post soon so we know how you are doing!

Thank you for your prayers they truly helped because it has improved. It still hurts a bit but not excruciating like it was.

Please go to the doctor, chest pain is nothing to put off. You could be having/have had a heart attack and a worse one may be on the way. You could be low in potassium and that will throw your heart rhythms off and it can KILL YOU. Why risk it. Praying for wisdom for you.
