Hi guys!

So I flared up like two days ago and it's bloody crippling! It's like I'll recover from a flare up and be like "That was the worst it's ever been." and my stomach will reply "Haha! We can do better than THAT!"
:voodoo: <---My stomach.

I have to go back to school, because I'm not missing as much as I did last year! That was dreadful!

So my question is:

How do you guys relieve your symptoms on the go? I used to lean over and just wait, but it's so bad now that I just lay out and make pathetic "aah" noises (actually, I've done that three times in the writing of this post, so far!) And as you can imagine, it would be awkward to do that in public.
So is there any temporary way? Tense up, relax, massage...?

Thanks!! x

I use to bring my electric pad with me to keep my belly warm. I explain it to my boss and he said no problem.

Right on the go I just endure not much else one can do. When you havetime and some privecy I use the bath very hot, and I stop eating. I can go a whole week with only ensure going in my stomach. when it calms down I see with my doctor. This should never be something you endure long term.

I have codeine or Tramadol I can take in an emergency. At work I also use a microwave gel pack to get some heat on my tummy, and kind of lean over the desk as much as possible. But my pains are only temporary, related to eating something I shouldn't. I think you need to get to see your doctor, because your disease obviously isn't well controlled at the moment.

I take codeine phosphate.
I don't think you should be in so much pain, go and see your GP, just to be on the safe side.

my doctor gave me Bentyl for stomach cramps. If I'm in a flare I'll take it before I eat or go out and usually the pain will subside for a couple hours.

A good thing that used to work for me was to have peppermint tea in the mornings and afternoons. Its nothing amazing but I found it to ease the cramps I used to get and they were that bad some days they used to make me almost scream out loud and cry!
