What is YOUR weather like today??

It is -10F out with a wind chill of -25. No birds here yet. They'd freeze. Snow is on the way for the weekend. I don't know where we'll put it! I think I've decided to move to Costa Rica!

Still in the high twenties -low thirties, suspicious low out in the coral could be a cyclone by the end of next week. We'll wait and see, mind you there is not a lot we can do about it anyway , sort of like crohns. Ron.

7F with wind chill to -19F today.Summer compared to LindaS in Minnesota, you guys won't thaw out until July!

Last day of February and just as cold as the first. -8F air temp, wind chill is -27. Snow on the way for this afternoon, then cooling back down. I hope Spring gets here soon.

Sunny, breezy, chilly in Coatbridge and raging I missed the northern lights last night.it was clear and cold at midnight last night first for ages I,ve only seen them once in my life, about 25 years ago.fingers crossed for tonight

Have just seen it on tv.Might go down to the coast tonight, where there's less light pollution..........Another nice day here but there's a change on the way, methinks.

hope you get to see the Northern Lights. There pretty cool.We get them frequently here during parts of the summer.Today is still cold and windy

Another cold day. It is -5F, with a wind chill of -30. We are supposed to get near freezing on Thursday, if you can believe the forecast. Of course, that comes with snow. We got an estimate on removing our ice dams of close to $1,000.

Well we are still in the high 20's c and low 30's c and it seems a fifty fifty bet that a cyclone will form later in the week . If it does , models show it crossing the coast. As to where and when the models cannot say. Something to look forward to I suppose.(not). Ron.

Wet, dull and pure white skies. But at least we're in March now.

I too am so jealous of everyone who saw the spectacular northern lights. Had to view them online.

Today is our 50th day this winter with sub-zero temperatures. -10F, with a wind chill of -23. Snow coming this evening with the "warmer" temperatures of approximately 15F.

Don't know how you stand it.In our corner of the UK it's been a very mild winter.Up to 17c out back today.Birds were singing their little hearts out.Even if it turns nasty,at least it's not November and it won't last.I'm am getting fed up wearing heavy coats and winter boots to walk the dog though, just in case.

Today is trying so hard to be a spring day, but it is just falling short with a slight breeze that is a degree to cold, and the clouds are not nice fluffy ones, more the ones with a slight threat. Other than that, at least it's March. yippee. The two worst months are out the way for this year.

I feel guilty saying that we have had very pleasant weather here in Utah for quite some time.

Well, I don't feel guilty complaining that NYC has been experiencing much colder than usual weather here for quite some time! :) Glad it's pleasant somewhere in this country.

Quick question for those of you in the UK...how would you characterize the weather you've had so far this winter? (Reason for asking is I have an upcoming meeting with someone from London and would like to have some small talk topics in hand, should it be needed).

I'm in the North East and it has been uncommonly mild up here all winter. In the South they've had lots of rain and they have horrendous flooding.Apparently it's going to take weeks to dry out IF it doesn't rain in the meanwhile.Lots of people are homeless and farmers will not be able to put crops in for a long while.Nutrients will have to be replaced in the soil too.Farm animals will have to be kept inside 'til dryer. No reports as yet on wild life.

Another "warm" day here. It is currently 9F, but should warm up to around 24, which is a lot warmer than it has been, but still about 10 degrees below normal. I'm starting to think we might actually get a spring this year. Some years we practically skip spring all together and go from winter to summer.

No rain today, loads of crocus, daffs and tulips coming. Nice not to have wind and rain, but it has gotten a little chilly, although not as chilly as you in the U.S and Canada. I don't know if i would cope with that.

2F and below zero with windchill again.Nice to hear about the crocuses, daffodils and tulips Spooky1.Gives me hope we may thaw out at some point! We need a shivering emoiticon with a scarf. We are being teased with predicted temps. in the upper 30's on Saturday.

Dave13, I'm right there with you. My step-mother, who lives in North Carolina, sent me a picture of her crocuses. It gives me hope that one day there will be green around here. We're supposed to get above freezing today, but wind chills will keep it feeling cold. Hopefully some of the snow will melt. There is a huge snow pack around here, and I'm aching for it to be gone, even if I'm not looking forward to the mud and slush.

Sounds very much like spring will be very late in some areas. We are having it so mild so far that our heating bills will probably be the lowest of all winter bills previously. That said, i suspect the power companies will be very annoyed at lack of profits. However, your power companies will be rubbing their hands, not so much to keep them warm, but because they are gonna be raking the bill money in from you.

Wet and dull here today. But we do have the flowers.

Here, they're having a hard time providing enough propane and natural gas, the government has had to step in and subsidize it for a lot of people. Our gas bill for January was twice what it was last year. I'm dreading seeing February's!

We still have our30c and now the threat of two cyclones. One is expected to form off the north east coast tomorrow and another is possible in the gulf of Carpentaria in a couple of days.Ron.

19F to start the day and cloudy.Predicted to be in upper 30's and maybe hitting 40! I hope the UK dries out and Australia doesn't turn into the 'Wizard of Oz'. No pun intended.

They named the cyclone in the gulf today, expecting to name the Coral sea one by tomorrow. Ron.

Warm here! It might go above freezing today! Hopefully it will since it will also be sunny. A chance to melt the snow pack of over 2 feet.

19F and sunny. Not expected to get above 20 today.LindaS,we have the Decorah Eagles cam on at work quite a bit.Hope you guys thaw out soon.

It's another day of total fire ban here.

The latest Angry Summer report from Climate Council shows that Australia has endured another summer of searing temperatures, with more than 150 weather records broken.

It is another melting day here with puddles everywhere and potholes, too. It should hit 40F today with sunshine.

We in North East England call mud, clarts,or we say "it's clarty out there".

Having been a dog owner for a loooooooong time,up to four at times, clarts were definitely NOT fun.(dogs didn't care though)

Mid twenties and partly cloudy. It will be one heck of a mud season this year!

I hear you, Dave! Once all this snow melts, it is going to be so muddy!

And I saw on the news this morning, you are likely getting a Nor'easter later this week. Yikes, it seems like there were more than the normal number of them this year!

We're in for a beautiful autumn day in Canberra, Australia with around 28 c. We've got some late showers forecast which will help green things up after our long hot summer

Temps up to 35c next weekend ,Second cyclone has been named , fortunately both seem pretty tame and not expected to cause too many problems before reverting to lows. Ron.

Spring is here. Sunny again and not exactly cold either. Whoooppeee.

Hoping Calgary doesn't flood RR, it looked so bad last year. Mind, our winter floods are still hanging about a bit in Somerset.

35F.10-14 inches of wet heavy snow expected today.Changing to heavy rain tonight and back to snow around midnight.Another 8 inches for tomorrow.Time to fuel up the generator...again. :poop:

Partly sunny and -4C (25F) . It's the calm before the storm we are getting nthe same system as Dave13 tonight - Snow 15-20 cm (6-8 inches) forecast for tonight with freezing rain and ice pellets.

It is below freezing again (around 20F) but sunny. Hopefully the sun will keep melting the snow even with the cool weather.

Glorious.Have been for a ramble in the countryside and it got really warm. Some lambs are out, birds were singing, and I swear the leaves were bursting forth before my eyes.

You are a true poet. I loved your description. It is beautiful again here too.:Flower::sun:

Really nice up here Diane, just going to Argos to get Alfie a paddling pool.

So tomorrow it will probably rain for 40days + 40nights !!!

Sunny and warm out. Hopefully we'll melt another couple of inches of the snow cover. Perfect weather for us to head out on vacation!

16F and it finally stopped snowing.Wind is picking up.Snowed all day yesterday, turned to rain and than back to snow in the early a.m..Simply wonderful..Spring is on the way. This will be my mantra to get through this.

Going up to 34 c on Sunday, both the cyclone in the coral sea and the one in the gulf died of natural causes , very little rain ,most of south east Queensland is now drought declared. Ron.
