What is YOUR weather like today??

Beautiful summer weather today, perfect for my son's first day of camp and then he has a soccer game later tonight, or as you Brits call it, football.

63F and very foggy after a night of gentle rain.Damp weather predicted for the next few days.No football in the forecast...or soccer :).

For the 6th day in a row, we've had overnight thunderstorms with a lot of rain. I'd like a night of uninterrupted sleep.

5th day of summer here! yes, it's too bloody hot, I agree, my cats agree and so the wilting plants. but I'm not really complaining. It's better than the usual damp, wet British summer.

Carol, I suspect you of harbouring jealous feelings about true summer weather here in cornwall. tis simply beautiful, and still a bit light at 10.45pm. Long live summer days.

Sorry D., but I'm NOT a "summer" person at all.For me there are more cons than pros. But I appreciate Brit.summer isn't long enough for a lot of those who love it.So I hope yours is long, sunny and warm.I'm starting to have fond memories of old sweaters, boots and parkas though.hahaha

I'm with you (well, not about the Brit. summer) I much prefer winter, even here in Minnesota, to summer.

All you British crohnies would love the week we have had.Blue skies, little humidity,a little warm for my liking though(around 80F).Light past 9pm.Cool at night for sleeping.Today is the first day of Summer and it is another beautiful morning.

I'll send Summer thoughts the U.K. way...and to you Aussies as well :)

It's the summer solstice this weekend,so the days will begin to get shorter.I would say,at a guess,we have approximately 17-18 hrs daylight now.Warm days and too warm nights.

Gets boring after a while though.

It should be a nice day, and the first without any rain in a while. Of course the rain is back tomorrow. When I drove over the Mississippi River this morning, it was way over its banks. I think the projected crest is either today or tomorrow, but with more rain coming, it is going to take a long time to go back down below flood stage. I'm grateful now that we don't have a house on a lake or river!

Is that usual for your part of the world Linda,or have you had more rain than you would normally at this time of year, combined with snowmelt ?

The snow melt is well over. However, we've had more than twice the amount of rain so far this year than we'd normally have. The average precipitation for this area for June is just under 3 inches. We've already had almost 8 just in the first 3 weeks of June.

Overcast with occasional light showers 15c.Suits me perfectly, and the dog.

I even got to wear a jacket today and "proper" shoes. Yay !!!

Sunny and warm right now, but they're predicting afternoon thunderstorms with the chance of severe weather. I hope not, because if we do get them, this will be my son's 3rd soccer game in 2 weeks cancelled due to thunderstorms. Plus, we sure don't need the rain!

Warm and humid, with (as usual) afternoon/evening thunderstorms predicted today, tomorrow, the next day, etc.

Clear blue skies ,little wind 8-22c. Down south in Victoria they are having record early season snow falls and gales. Very sad . A little boy was killed at one of the ski resorts, They think a build up of snow on a roof fell down and buried him. He could no be revived. Not the sort of way you expect to lose your life in Australia. Ron.

Another humid day with chances of rain/storms. A friend of mine manages a team with half in London and half here in Minnesota. Her London team wonders why anyone would live here with the weather is so bad in both the winter and summer.

Ron, I'll send some of our rain to you. We got 11.6 inches (29.4 cm) of rain this June, and all the lakes and rivers here are above flood stage.

Extremely cool for this time of year right now. It is only 57F outside. Usually this time of year it is at least in the 80s! Also another overcast day with rain off and on. I'm so sick of rain!

Good start but heavy rain now. The TOUR DE FRANCE starts two counties away in North Yorkshire tomorrow.Hope it clears for the cyclists but especially for the hundreds of thousands of visitors and tourists that are there.

Pouring and quite breezy. The tail end of the hurricane dumping on us.I feel sorry for the families that planned for this weekend, some travel from so far away.We had lots of flooding and washed out roads.I believe most people have their power back now.

Lovely day for the Tour De France in Yorkshire.Thousands upon thousands of people,(TV just said MILLIONS )lining the route.

They promised rain last night. We got nearly two mm. Technically not a broken promise but morally very very close. Ron.

The makings of a beautiful day.I have to work of course,at least it rained the last two days. You know..the days I had off.Excuse me,I have to go look for some cheese to go with my whine.(sorry about that:))

Another hot sunny day again. Wow, we had warm weather last year too. Feeling thoroughly spoilt. Sorry for you americans who are having it rough for the time of year, and Ron in Queensland, who isn't appreciating no rain.

Just got back from walking the dog this morn.when we had a corker of a thunderstorm and torrential rain. But we had a picnic planned, so went nontheless.Rained most of the morning but the sun came out as soon as we arrived back home.Sods Law hahaha. We enjoyed the day though.

Still cool and dry. In theory perfect weather but it will be a dreadful summer and the way my health has been this year I don't need dreadful anything... Ron.

Sunny, would like to get up, but spent night throwing up and the big D! At least I have a garden. Stay strong, Ron, even in mind only if all else fails.

We have beautiful weather today. Sunny, warm and DRY!!! Not too hot (mid 70sF) and with just enough breeze.

Well rain has been forecast for the last two days but nothing yet.
It's been sunny but with a nice cool breeze. No complaints here.

Sunny and warm again! Great. Was hoping to go out to appointment with nurse, then out with friend. all down the drain, thanks Crohns! Into the garden I hope. Will bird watch and admire the flowers. didn't the papers say the woods are showing signs of autumn already, NOOOOO!

Our reprieve from the rain was short lived. Some rain overnight, but now we have thunderstorms and heavy rain pouring down. I feel like we might all grow gills here!

I got this from a friend:
Minnesota: Land of 10,000 Lakes
*Rain*
Minnesota: Land of 5,987 Lakes
*Rain*
Minnesota: Land of 994 Lakes
*Rain*
Minnesota: One giant lake

Good one LindaS...

Today is shaping up to be a nice day.If the forecasts are accurate it will be similar to Minnesota for the upcoming week.It can go from sunny blue skies to river flooding and washed out roads so quickly.

What a truly horrible day weather wise. Cold, only 57F, rainy and windy. My son's soccer game had multiple downpours during it. All the players (and parents) were soaked through.

Can't believe it . Warm weather non stop. So I take the tinny out and go fishing on Sat night. New Ice age . Temp dropped to 2c. Unheard of here. Nearly froze . Decided to head home ,was feeling decidedly unwell. I have an electric winch on the boat trailer. I am no longer up to manual winching. Some of the cables caught around the winch handle and jammed it. Started throwing up. Not sure how but I finally managed to unjam ,disentangle and get the boat back on the trailer. By now I was running on empty which means dry heaves. Drove the boat into the carport ,took my meds and crashed into bed. I suppose it could have rained .... Ron.

I must say i'm an internet addict. I love watching all these weird weather changes on there. There is definitely something wrong. But we are experiencing good weather for now. Nice for Britain. Don't freeze Ron, and Linda, I can't remember you saying for quite some time that you have nice weather. Aren't you supposed to have what we Brits call hot summers?

I'm feeling for all of you. P.s some areas are experiencing snowfall in June and July.

Warm, but it's going to get warmer in the next few days. There is a breeze which makes it bearable (almost). A touch of frost would be appreciated.

It has been a strange year, weather-wise here. We get cold in the winter, but this year we had a longer than normal stretch of colder than normal weather. Then flooding in June, which was due to rain, and is not the normal time of the year for flooding. This summer has been one of the coldest so far that I ever remember.

It should be pleasant today, sunny and highs around 70F.

A big band of cloud crossed Qld in the last two days. Best chance of rain in months they said.... !.5 mm. Things are getting a little bit serious . I don't live in a city and a lot of the folk living around the regional towns (like Nambour where I live) rely on tank water. After three months of low rainfall like we have had ,tanks start running dry . Particularly if it is a big family, the daily showers use a lot of water. The only option when your tank runs low is to get a tanker load of water, an expensive exercise. It is amazing how much we take water for granted. Every state government for the past twenty years has wanted to build new dams. They have all tried but public opinion and the govt opposition have canned all of the proposals. We wasted so much opportunity with the floods we have had over the past few years. Now I think we may really pay for our stupidity. Elnino droughts have been known to last for ten years. You don't build dams in droughts , just big holes in the ground.. Ron.
