Autumn has been on the trees and flowers for a while now. Strange summer, makes me think we're in for a very long winter. chillier and fingers going numb again. Thermal vest back on last three days and fleecy jacket too, and that's indoors.

Cool again, but went for a picnic. Trees are definitely on the turn, hedgerows are looking tatty, harvests in. I honestly don't know where this summer's gone.As Spooky says,I think we're in for a looooooong winter. We even had the heating on for an hour last night.

Carol, I am about to put my heating on and feeling guilty about it. But my fingers have no blood in and I can't feel to use computer, lol. Tis sunny out.

I wake up to a white sheet sky these days. Its as though they are spraying chemicals to hide something. I just haven't seen a normal sky at dawn for a very long while.

HHMMMM when I am cold I can always get warm. When it's summer and I get hot all I can do is sweat , I really don't like summer. There should be an edit button on the seasons. We could live eternally in spring and autumn. Ron.

Right now, it is overcast and foggy. It should be another humid and warm day. Why is it that the entire summer was on the cool side until my son started football practice. Now it is much warmer than it had been all summer. The smell coming off his pads already is toxic!

We are having more thunderstorms, so cooler weather than normal. It was also announced on the news last night that a cool, early fall is predicted. YAY YAY YAY!

cool and overcast..........not the best August Bank Holiday weekend, and rain forcast.

It's a shame, because there's lots going on and people want to make the most of the end of the summer.
Not me though,I don't give a hoot !!!

Very humid today. It is like breathing underwater. My son has his first (American) football game today, and I just hope the coach makes the players drink enough during the game!

It's only 63° out there right now. August in Utah is usually in the eighties or nineties, or even the triple digits. I like, I like, I like!:banana::banana::banana:

We had our first big thunderstorm of summer yesterday. Wait a minute it's not summer yet. Our first big thunderstorm of spring. Wait a minute it's not spring yet. Well we had a big winter thunderstorm yesterday with lots of hail. Being a weather reporter isn't easy,,, Ron,

It is supposed to rain all day today, but so far, it is only overcast and cool outside. I guess summer is over. We've had several predictions for a more severe winter than last year (which was bitter cold) and a longer winter. I forget, why do I live in Minnesota?

We Got Rain!!!! YIPPEE! Haven't seen Rain in Months quick change in the weather supposed to rain for the next few days woohoo!

Well another BIG rain event turned into another little rain event. It is going to be 27 degrees C today. I want my winter back NOW!.........Ron.

A soft rain and mid 60's.Preferable to the damaging thunder storms we have been getting.I'd gladly send the rain to you crohnies who need it if I could.

Lovely day here with a welcome breeze. It's going to be nice for 12 weeks according to the Daily paper.

But who can believe everything the media churns out ?

A beautiful Fall day shaping up.I may be able to ride my motorcycle to work today.A welcome break from the humidity and drizzle.

Cool, overcast and drizzly. The leaves are starting to change already, but it seems early to me.

The leaves are doing the same here, have been for a week or two.

Looks like it's going to be o loooooooong winter.

Nice today though.

They have been saying that it will be a terrible bushfire season. Now they are saying it may not be so bad. Winter burn offs have not left anything to burn. Sill no likelihood of rain in the foreseeable future. Might have to get the little achme rain dance kit out of mothballs and start practicing my shuffle and chant. Ron.

I can remember doing rain dances with friends in 1976/77. Lovely and sunny and warm, cos the kids are just about back at school. always happens. My flower tubs and baskets have been looking tatty for a while now. Leaves are definitely turning and birds are nowhere to be seen in my garden now. I agree with Scottsma, it's going to be a long winter. Hope things aren't going to be as bad in Winter in America. That polar vortex gave you one heck of a cold one.

Some of the maples are turning already around here, too damn early.I believe another cold Winter is predicted.

Well, today is another nice day.I'll be happy with that.

Every long range prediction I've seen for my area of the country says it is going to be another colder than normal winter. I don't know how they can predict that so far out, but I'm hoping they're wrong. We had 6 days off from school due to extreme cold. There were days when the air temp was -40, the wind chill made that even colder.

My sis-in-law moved from Las Vegas, Nevada to Wisconsin a year and a half ago and couldn't handle the cold. Now back in Utah. A compromise.

We're back to a beautiful 70°. It has been one of the nicest summers in a long time (I can't handle the heat).

Much cooler today. Yesterday was so hot and HUMID! Yuck! But the weather's changed and it is cool and dry outside. I might work on the patio later!

Walked out the front door ,nearly got flattened by the scent of the star jasmine. That stuff really fights above its weight. Annoying weather ,take your coat off a cloud floats past the sun ,you put your coat back on. Happens ten times a day. They are predicting 27 tomorrow and thirty on Friday. Like Catherine said probably a blizzard on Saturday. No chance of getting bored . Wonder how many calories you burn putting coats on and off. I might make an exercise video. Starting to waffle now ,Good night all, Ron,.

There was a full moon last night, when I got up this morning it was still big and bright as it was setting. The sun started to rise before it was completely gone. It has turned into a beautiful late summer day.

That was the last supermoon of the year. It was very pretty here, too. It has gotten a bit humid today, but is supposed to get cold later this week, with lows in the 30s.

Strong nor wester right off the red centre of Australia. The mercury rose to 28 c. Not a nice day . Hot nw winds make people tired and cranky and I'm people. Got a cold front coming thru overnight...Coats on..coats off here we go again. Still no rain . At least when it is wet ,cold and miserable you can leave your coat on.....SSSIIIIGGHHHH Ron.

Damp, cool, windy, gray and gloomy. The leaves on our trees will change colors in a hurry with this weather. Fall is definitely upon us.

I'm in Moorhead, about 4 hours northwest of you, closer to lakes country. Heading to Mayo in Rochester next week. Always a pleasant 7 hour drive. Have you had any experiences there?

We have been spoilt with a good run of lovely weather. Very few leaves left on the trees at the supermarket nearby. Lots of berries on the trees too. an early winter I think.

I had a consult once with Dr. Kane. However, my GI here in the twin cities studied under her, and specializes in IBD, so I find my care here to be good.

Are you enjoying this cold weather? The heat kicked on this morning.

Funnily enough it was a gorgeous morning here on the coast, but we drove into fog on our run to the countryside for a picnic. The temperature dropped about 5 degs C too. And guess who only wore a light jacket ?

I've heard good thing too so it's nice to have it confirmed. I had to use the heat in the truck on the way to work this morning but refuse to turn it on at home yet. I like the cooler weather for sleeping at night but I am not ready for sweatshirt/jacket weather just yet.

I love my boots, parka, jeans and sweatshirts.

I look more feminine in the summer, but only because I'd look silly in parka and boots.:)

Agreed, I feel more comfortable in jeans and sweatshirts. I just hate the fact that I now have to wear it full time for continuous warm rather than the snuggly comfort whenever I feet like it. Summer is always too short a season for me!

Well, the sun has vanished and my fingers have turned white again. My thermal vests are back on and I am also wearing jeans, woolly socks, sweat shirt and the sandals are gone too.

It's nice again up this end D., According to the paper we're in for an Indian Summer, especially in the South.Keep those sandals handy.

The moon was too bright to see the lights very well last evening. The dogs appreciated the late evening stroll though.A very nice morning, rain predicted for the afternoon.Go do some Fall chores before the wet.

Brrrr! It is a cool morning. My son has the first football game of the day, so I'm prepping myself to freeze on the sidelines this morning.

It has been lovely weather for several weeks here. Cooler than normal for Utah, and I also went off a med that gave me excessive sweatiness at the drop of a hat (yay! Getting rid of an antidepressant and feeling better and better). Doug, however, had a little heat issue at a Utes football game last Saturday on a warmer day than usual and pretty much collapsed in the hallway looking for water, and had to be treated at the first aid station before I drove him home. (So nice I can drive him for a change! I really missed driving when I couldn't, even tho I usually prefer Doug to drive when we are together.) He's fine tho, now, thankfully. Just don't wear black pants when the sun is beating down on you in the bleachers (or sidelines).

Felt like Fall (or close to it this morning) it got up to a high of 17 Celsuis (it was about 6 C) this morning and was sunny most of the day. Got a run in this morning between 7:30 and 8

Rain during the night, very misty and overcast today but mild.

Apparently the south of the country is basking in an Indian summer.

But I'm not in the least bit bothered.

Nothing much to report down here. overcast and a noticeably cold breeze. I need a final fling of summer weather before the short days and cold wet weather comes in and settles.

Well, it must be winter already. It is cold enough that I need to add more air to my car's tires. Usually that isn't until the end of October or early November, then again in January.

Actually it has warmed up now and is sunny and hot, as opposed to earlier. However, I have very few birds in the garden now and never before have they all flown this early. I am totally at a loss as to why they aren't here anymore. The flora is also looking as miserable as November. These season are messed up well and truly.

Maybe the birds are in tune with their inner weather forecast.

Still overcast here but drying out a wee bit.I think you're 5 or 6 degrees warmer down there.

Drizzling and cool, low 40sF.Arthritis weather  Makes me want to get the wood stove going.

Day temps around 28c , 21c at night no rain ,storms threatening but no shows, . Spring is here and summer is only a storm away. Ron.

Chilly here. We had a soft frost overnight. I'm hoping for a good, hard frost to kill all the wasps and other bugs. It should warm up during the day, so we're in for another sunny mild day.
