What is YOUR weather like today??

Absolutely glorious. Really like a good British summer day. Not that we have those often. We do seem to have 2 or 3 weeks of good weather over the easter or at least in march/april. Here it is. Then it vanishes for good until next year. Naturally I'm making the most of it.

Back down to single figures next week, and frosty nights :sign0085:

But really nice today :cool2: Just back from a trip across the Tyne on the ferry.:thumleft:

Actually prefer it cold like 15 degrees cold but with f^&*d lungs that feels like 30 degrees to me so when your all ranting on about how great the hot sunny weather is spare a thought for those that feel dreadful in it :)

I had to put a coat on for the first time for the year this morning. It was not that cold , just by comparison to what we have been getting. Once the cold front has passed it should be back to high twenties and around seventeen overnight. Ron. PS On the dangers of golfing in Australia. A guy was playing a round of golf at Port Douglas near cairns around a week ago. He was on his own . He had lost his ball in the vegetation beside a water hazard. He accidently stepped on a saltwater croc and got bitten on the leg. The croc was just as surprised as him and let him go. They subsequently caught the croc and sent him to a croc farm. Apparently he is one of several known to live in the dams on the course. Adds new meaning to the golf term "Water hazard."Ron.

15c suits me fine......I hate hot weather.:voodoo:

Nice enough today, fine and sunny, but had to put the air-con on in the car :(

Yes,I saw that in our daily newspaper.Silly man,but very lucky eh ?:shifty:

We've had the worst storm in a decade here for the last 2 days, it's supposed to ease off this afternoon. It's caused so much damage.

It is almost unbelievable some of the weather that we have had in Australia the past few years. The storm that you had this week is the equivalent of a cat two cyclone almost in winter to boot. I can't remember many 130 kph gales and 100 mm per hour rainfall in April. Sure we used to get the occasional rain event but nothing like this particularly with three fatalities. I hope you missed the worst of it upsetmom and that you and family are all ok. Ron.

Ron we were lucky compared to some other places.

We live on a hill so the wind is always twice as strong here, so we were lucky that only our fence fell down.

The rain and wind have finally settled down.

Same lovely day as yesterday, warm, sunny and calm........but a change is on the way.
Damp weekend and much colder next week.

Damp weekend and much colder next week.

Was a bit overcast and windy here yesterday, but today the sun's back. Hopefully I can get home early enough to go for a bike ride as it looks like the weekend is going to be all gloom and doom (weather wise).

Cloudy, cool and rain here today. It's about 3C outside tonight. The water level is up 1 metre (3 feet) since Sunday in the river down the street.

It is 79 degrees at 9:36pm here in Glendale, Arizona. Weather is great here. It HAS been over 90 degrees on some days recently. Today it was sunny and the sky was blue with just a few little clouds rolling in the sky Hey, I am wearing t-shirts and sandals !

Cold... 32F Well compared to a few weeks ago it is warm, I totally was able to sit outside and wait for my ride, it was nice :)

9-10am and looks like another fine day.
Apparently we were the warmest in the UK yesterday, which doesn't happen often,if ever,us being on the north east coast.

Being sun sensitive,I'm having a little scratch here and there.Factor 30 on the shopping list me thinks.

A bit late, and a few patches of snow left, but the seasons seem to be changing. I kid you not, we have snow forecast for tomorrow. I know it won't stay but it messes with your head.

Grey and cooler. After a warm week or so temperatures are now normal for this time of year.Frosts and hill snow forecast for nights.

ANZAC day in Australia yesterday. We had fantastic weather here 28c fine and sunny. Sydney got hit by another super cell storm. Buildings collapsed under the weight of hail. The Anzac day football had to be suspended mid game to get players and spectators out of the hail and lightning and under cover. Nearly an inch of rain in a half an hour. Full on. Ron.

Well, Doug got the flowers put in (my kind of gardening) except a few more he bought today. It's cold and drizzly right now.

I don't think any of us here would truly appreciate our weather, unless we heard about yours first Ron.

No the remembrance day was exceptional. It was the hundredth anniversary of the landing of the Australian , New Zealand and English at Gallipoli in Turkey in ww1. It was a disaster for the allies and few of the attacking forces survived unwounded. Nearly all of the Australians and New Zealanders were volunteers. The dawn services in Australia and New Zealand all had record attendances as did the dawn service in Gallipoli. The crowds get bigger each year. As they should. Ron.

As I sit here a low is forming just offshore of where I live. East coast lows tend to be nasty things. My area has already had four and a half inches of rain in the last two days and it is forecast to get much heavier tonight and tomorrow. The winds got up to around 50 knots overnight. I am looking after my ex wifes house and pets whilst she is away it Italy. I had a tree come down last night. It only just missed the house but there will be a lot of cutting up to get rid of it. She lives around twenty kilometres from me and I have been staying at her place overnight for the sake of the animals. I hope I don't get any water in whilst I am away. Ron.

What a horrible year you've had Ron !!! I don't know how you tolerate it.I can only say, keep safe, and may your God watch over you and yours.

Cool here for the time of year, but compared to what's happening around the world,we are blessed.

very dull day, but spent it taking niece and great niece to hospital, both for surgeries, but in different departments. Nieces got cancelled at the last moment so we both just waited around for the great nieces. Now I'm home and knackered from the 75 mile journey and not the slightest sun in the sky, and it's going to get worse, but not as bad as yours, Ron. Stay safe.

Five people died overnight as their vehicles were swept off the main highway between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast where I live. We had over 250mm of rain in around three hours and most of that fell on already sodden ground. As the low moved past us a series of severe thunder storms formed and they are what dropped most of the rain. I had water coming in thru the wall most of the afternoon yesterday and it ended with a massive storm. Once that passed the water dropped fairly fast and by 6pm I was able to stop bailing and mop up the remainder. I then went over to my ex's place. The trip over was a bit unpleasant with quite a few tree limbs down across roads. The pets were glad to see me . All of the nasty weather is in the southern quadrant of the lows. They draw theire moisture from the sea to the north east ,east and south east then dump it on the land to the south and south west of the low. Once the low passes you the rain and wind backs off dramatically. This morning we have bright sunshine. We will get a few showers from moisture sucked up from the sodden land but nothing too bad. Ron.

Bailing seems to be a way of life for you lately Ron.I hope you are feeling well enough to cope, also that you get a long quiet spell to relax and recover.

Cool and calm here,a few wispy clouds.

wet & windy,5c but feels colder with the wind chill.

It's May bank holiday here, people who were planning B.B.Qs will be disappointed, and if it doesn't fair up tomorrow, the Morris Dancers and Maypole Dancers will have to wrap up well.........Typical !!!

Temps are back up to 27c today and 28c forecast for tomorrow. I am really tired at the moment. Too much going on. I am looking after my house and another as well as the pets for my ex and the lady in the flat above me has gone away for three weeks and I am looking after her cat as well. I see my gp tomorrow . I am due for my flu and phneumonia shots and I need to see about my diabetes as my bloods have been high for over a month. Work is full on at the moment so I am not getting much rest anywhere. Such is life. Ron.

It's a beautiful day out there, high in the low seventies and low in the low fifties. Just the way I like it. My allergies aren't liking it too well tho with everything in bloom.

No wind ,sunny and 29 c. Cool change tomorrow , we plummet to 25c. No bad reactions to the shots tho they made me stay for fifteen minutes after the pneumonia vax. Apparently it can cause a reaction. Still doing my 40 kilometre round trip every day. My ex gets back from Italy on the first of june. Most of Australia is having reasonable weather tho WA got hit by a very late cat 3 cyclone last week, quite a surprise to the locals. Ron.

A beautiful morning. Birds singing, blue skies and sunny. We had so much snow but we do need some rain, high fire danger state wide. Best of all, bugs aren't out yet and you can enjoy the outside.

83 degrees and partly cloudy here at 1:21pm. We have already had high temperature in the mid 90's in April. So the lower temperature today and a few little clouds are NICE. I have lived in Arizona since 1972, but as I get older I have a very low tolerance to the extreme heat. I am at home today, of course, because I am having diarrhea. I can only enjoy the weather through my window. : - 0

Ok, I just read everyone's weather posts on this page and now I feel guilty about the weather HERE since it appears everyone else's weather is pretty poor

Around 26c ,fine and sunny. When it is good here it is really good. When it is bad it is crap. I should be feeling good but I had a bad fall last night. I did not break anything but I landed on the right kneecap and left elbow. They are sore but I jarred my whole back. Perhaps I should look at fitting training wheels. Ron.

Just above 60° f after a couple days of much needed rain. Doug just mowed the lawn and it smells so fresh and nice out there. :)

Cold,7c,wet and grey........but forecast looks better for the next few days.27c in the South and a comfortable 18c up this end. (of the country that is)

Mothers day here. 25c light winds and sunny skies. After the few months of weather we have had , the mums deserve a break, hugs to all mothers, Ron.

Wet start but dry, sunny and blustry 14c now.(11-30am)
A good drying day,but I've been baking pies (seemed like a good idea)

Still fine and sunny, there is a huge high pressure system covering nearly all of Australia. That's a big high. Against all odds a cyclone is doing its best to form up near the Solomons. With the strong upper winds it does not stand much of a chance,,,,,I hope. Ron.

scottsma............What kind of pies ! Yummmmmmmmmm.

80 degrees and party cloudy at 9:39pm here in Glendale , AZ.
A high of 92 degrees predicted for tomorrow.
This is normal weather for us.
Yep, summer is here.
It will be even hotter in a couple of months.

Hi Ann, neighbor to the south. I have family in your neck of the woods (Mesa and a little further south), and just wonder how all of you can handle the heat there in the summer. However, I could live there about 3/4ths of the year.
Salt Lake city area had a high in the low seventies today, but cooling off some the next couple of days to the low fifties by Saturday, along with more much needed rain after only half the normal snow pack during the winter. :)

Sandy: Yeah, the heat in the summer here IS crazy !! My parents and I moved here from Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1972 ! My sister ( who is "Sandy" too ) has lived in Boise, Idaho since 1977 and she just retired. She and her husband bought my mom's condo down here and they spent January, February and March 2015 down here and they loved it ! They are going to stay even longer next year. They really enjoyed driving through Utah on their way to and from Boise, so next time around they want to spend more time there. 75 degrees here at 12:14am, Wednesday.

ANN.......Ham and egg +(one for the neighbour) sausage, onion and mashed potato, one for the freezer, and apple and sultana, which wasn't around long enough to worry about.hahaha.

Lovely start but clouding over now (noon).
Forecasters are predicting a bad winter due to El Nino. We've had three good winters in a row,but for goodness sake, let's enjoy the summer first..............

We have just been informed that we are in an El Nino cycle. They were not sure for a while but temps on our side of the pacific ocean have risen to the point that we are now officially there. If you asked the farmers in western Queensland and New south wales they would probably tell you that there was no real doubt for the past eighteen months. Apart from the SE and a strip along the coast the rest of Queensland has been drought declared for nearly a year. We have been told to prepare for a hot dry winter followed by another long hot summer. Oh joy. Ron.

A lot of the city is flooded, and up the coast. I went out and cleared the drains in our street.

disgusting weather this morning, roads with much water on. Now nice and sunny and drying out. But I have Iritis which is painful in the light...Sigh. I'll swallow the D3 with K2 tablets and stay out the light, lol

23c today , that is the lowest day time temp since forever or so it seems. The health authorities have said that ross river fever is at epidemic proportions due to the heat and heavy rain events we have been having. It is mosquito borne and is a form of viral arthritis. It is a terrible affliction and those that get it can suffer for years with constant recurrences. I am very careful to avoid mossies and have never contracted ross river. Further north they have trouble with dengue fever . It is much more dangerous and if you have had it once, if you get a second dose it presents almost like ebola with bleeding from the eyes ears nose ect. It can be treated if diagnosed early. If there is an outbreak of dengue the health dept notifies previous sufferers of the risk. Ron.

We continue to have cooler weather, and probably more moisture in the past couple weeks than the whole I'd winter before. But nothing serious like elsewhere around the world, just pleasant gentle rains with occasional downbursts. I love the smell of a fresh rain.

11c,fine breezy start but clouding over now.......
My son in Australia is complaining about the "cold".He's had to light the log fire today.I think he said it was the same temp. as here. The big soft Jessie.

Big soft Jessie. Bit harsh. Actually it made east coast news that the west was about to be hit by a massive cold front and up to 80mm of Rain. I guess it is all relative, when your normal winter is 25c and it drops to almost single figures a lot of Australians just don't have clothes in the wardrobe to suit cold snaps. I spent ten years in Canberra , which is near the southern alps. We rarely got thru a winter without snow so I still have all of my cold weather gear. Ron.

It has been a week of 23-25c lots of wind and showers. Jumper off and I am too cold, coat on and I am too hot and someones been eating my porridge. That's the trouble with fairy tales , there is zero chance of finding a blonde sleeping in my bed. It's a sad life. Ron.

We've had rain, followed by rain, followed by rain. A minor amount of flooding in our basement which is thankfully (at this point) unfinished, so no real damage done.

Okay, don't kill me .... but..... the weather here is great ! It is 7:45pm in Glendale, Arizona and it is 81 degrees. I sat outside for a while in my folding chair and chatted with some of my neighbors in my apartment complex. Predicted low temperature for tonight is 60 degrees.

But a couple of months from now I will be complaining about the 115 degree high temperatures during the day. And we have a rainy time of year in July and August.
Quite a few years back the high temperature was 123 degrees one day and they had to shut down the airport because of the heat ! Weird !
