What is YOUR weather like today??

Not really a problem spooky , I suspect I deserve some or the comments I get. I've got a thick hide and I tend to give as much as I get. Hard to believe :) Ron.

Same here, and isn't it getting dark quick. Will feel better when I get the decs up for xmas. I like that. It's a welcome light festival during the darkest months. But I can't stand January.

Another damp day of drizzle. Quite cool but heading for 30c on Sunday. It is your fault Mandy. All the talk of mice recently. I thought I saw some mouse droppings on my bathroom floor. Closer investigation proved that I was correct. There is a hole in the bottom of the side wall of the bathroom left there when my landlord did some renovations and waterproofing over twelve months ago. He did not finish the job and the wall still leaks. Anyway I put some ratsack in a bowl at the hole. I was brushing my teeth this morning when I heard a noise. I looked down and there in the ratsack bowl was a dirty big rat. He did not look so good but rather than let him escape to die in the wall and stink to high heaven I put a bucket over him with a heavy weight on it. I will check on him tomorrow. I don't like rats. I am going to give the landlord a serve ,I shouldn't have to put up with rats. Ron.

Wow, Ron, your life is so full of drama from everything! Rats ~shudder~
The drama here was a little 2/10th inch of rain in the valleys and a smattering of snow at the ski resorts. We've had so many drought years the trees didn't even change color much before they dropped their leaves, and the reservoirs are very low. We're really hoping the snow pack this year is better (where most reservoir water comes from). I guess that's what can happen tho, when you live in a desert state.

Oh Ron mice are bad enuf but rats 😨. But i reset my trap after releasing the 1 i got on the 19 th n low iv got up this morn n trap is closed so guess iv got anothet to release. It will have to go on a bus ride this morning tho as iv no time to walk a few mile to release it b4 i go to work 😕 i will let it out in the woods near my work . X

Yep, I'm near the Oxfordshire border and it's the same here D.
Ron, I had exactly the same issues many years ago. Environmental health turned up and I couldn't bear to hear the rats squealing to death so went and stayed with mum for a few days. Poison did the job though. Do as Mandy said, send it too your landlord. he should do something.

@Sandy, there are so many beautiful trees up in this part of England that I love the colour change. Cornwall is a peninsular so not so many trees to appreciate.
@D, I also hate the clocks turning back.
Roll on this nicer weather at the weekend and I hope we get it.

That's right. I'm about 11 miles north up the a361, Woodford Halse. Am contemplating Morrisons, but oh, those roundabouts! by the way, you could drive me around the roundabouts in that car you have pictured there, lol

@spooky, we usually get beautiful fall colors also (especially in the canyons, which we are right next to), this year was just an exception.
Today is typical again, dry, sunny, and like Ron said, a little chilly. 48° f at the moment, won't get much, if any, higher.

Just move to Utah, Mandy, where in the summer it gets plenty warm, but it's a nice dry heat. (Still too hot for me tho. I think I'll move to England. ):ylol:

My joints have been hideous since I moved up here from Cornwall. the arthritis in my neck is dreadful too. You have my sympathy Mandy. Let's all off to Utah!

Darn good idea i think we should hun. We should go enmasse n bombard Sandy with our awesomeness when we are not crippled with the joints pains anymore coz of the lovely warm weather. How you fixed for going next week kid 😃
You have my sympathy too, i know just how you feel not the nicest cake in the box to eat is it 😕 take care Spooky n best wishes. Hope for the warmer weekend or pray for it 🙏💋

Sunny morning, high 20's expected , 30c tomorrow. I am sorry to hear that everyone is in pain. Life can be so unfair for some and then others just don't appreciate how much it means to just feel well. My hot flushes are definitely ramping up with the warmer weather but at least I have an appointment with an endochronologist at the end of November. My oxycodone has tapered by 10mg a day now and I am definitely starting to feel it. I hope it does not get much worse. I got rid of my rat before I went to bed last night , sad but necessary .So many chores I need to do. I have just got out of bed and all I want to do is go back to bed. When I woke up it was seven am so I sat on the edge of the bed. I looked at the clock again and it was seven thirty. How can you just not account for a half hour of your life. Maybe I should get cc tv to see what happens when the lights are on and no one is home. Ron.

Oh, Ron, you really are going through it. I remember throwing dihydracodiene (?spelling, I know, but it's late lol). I agreed to get myself through it. Was dreadful, but being addicted and the moodswings were worse. you might need to taper more carefully if poosible. My dad had those blackout episodes. They didn't know what his were either. Do you know Michael Jackson's song Ben? I loved that one, and felt for the rat, tee hee. Hope things improve soon for you, Ron.

Well, it is late. *throwing those tablets away I meant to say. Oh, for some bloody energy rather than bloody stools. I need my head to function or I might as well be blacked out.

Mandy, you know I wouldn't move there until I got to show you the beautiful parts of Utah, especially red rock country. You are all welcome to come here, tho, any time. Utah typically has great skiing and winter sports for those who like that sort of thing. That season is almost here!

This could be fun! We could all move to whomever is having the best weather for what condition is ailing them at the moment. Or go on group tours together to the latest and greatest places of interest. Favorite people, favorite places. I say some summer we should all go to Yellowstone also. I love that place, and the weather is great in the summer. I also want to see all the great castles in Europe, the pyramids, and Denmark where my grandparents were born. (England, my mother's ancestry side, is a given.) We definitely have to cruise the inside passage to Alaska sometime too, and maybe a train ride to Banff Natl in Canada in those glass doomed cars.

That's definitely for me. Sandy, you made it all sound so possible, lol. But I'd love to go somewhere really.

Dull out, not cold, and possibly a bit of sunshine this afternoon.

Boringly dull here too.But apparently it's going to be the warmest November in 69yrs.

It will make the winter seem shorter, but I refuse to get my summer clothes out again.

Well, I'd like to believe that! I'm always hopeful of good weather. Thermals on until it hits a proper summers day temperature, lol. Sunny here now. putting a few more bulbs in.

Very sunny here. Not cold either. gonna try and get a few bulbs in today I think. My neighbour came and helped me with a little flower border out front yesterday. We had a nice chat whilst she did the bulk of the work, lol. I was pleased with getting the task done.

In the high twenties today ,heading to 30c + by Thursday not looking forward at all to summer. Ron.

18c and sunny. We had a run out to a country market town then had a picnic on the way home. There's thousands of people down the coast, and not a parking space to be had.
Not that we wanted one,we just like to drive home that way and moan about it all.

Hi peeps. Yes nice day for nov. Sorry for no hugs n thanks on your posts been on my mobile n no buttons to do it. So big hugs n thanks to all 💕💋

I am nearly up to date at work so I decided to have a day off today. It Is a beautiful day , sunny with light northerly winds. Clouds up occasionally but that helps keep the temps down then the skies clear and sun comes out. I just wish I felt well enough to do stuff. I suppose work tomorrow qualifies as stuff, Ron.

Hi Ron enjoy the day off. Relax n recharge your batteries mate. Stuff can wait, it aint going anywhere. Unless the stuff fairies visit. Dont hold your breath tho.😀
foggy today..

Our son in Kalgoorlie sent a pic this morning of a hail/sleet shower.

Foggy start but it soon cleared to another lovely day.

I meant to ask,has anyone in the UK seen any geese migrating. We usually get at least two skeins going over our house, every day at this time of year.If we hear them,we rush outside to watch them pass.My hubby will even phone me if he's out the back and I'm indoors.I hope it's just the mild weather keeping them back.........

We see occasional flocks of Canadian geese around here. They are so LOUD!
Yesterday we had a record high of over 70 degrees, and within a few days we are expected to get a smattering of snow. Go figure.

Very warm overnight. It did not make for a good sleep. Woke up to clear skies this morning . It feels like it will be a hot one. We rarely see migrating birds on the east coast . Sometime we have whistling ducks fly over at night but you never see them of a day. They are lousy whistlers, they sound like three year olds trying to whistle. I think they should have just been called noisy ducks. Ron.

Haha Ron. Duck quacks dont echo! Or do they ?? Still foggy round my gaff . It's like a scene from the hound of the baskervilles 😨

Some fog, not as bad as yesterday though. Think we might be getting rain later. Today I'm tucked up on the sofa as I have 0 energy and was up most the night. Don't care if I sleep the rest of the day, at least it's not sunny and I'm missing it.

So I think everyone is having strange November weather. I don't mind if it's sunny and warm. I'd take that any time of the year.

Forget the high twenties ,it hit 32c today with same tomorrow. The wind was from the north and very unpleasant. Same for the next couple of days. I am not working tomorrow. The boss came in today with a raging flu. I can't afford to catch it. The last time I had a flu it was para influenza a kids flu . It hit me so hard my heart was leaking troponin , the heart attack enzyme. It wasn't a heart attack but I was in hospital for a few days. I felt like I had been hit by a truck. I guess that is the down side to immune suppressants .Ron .

A wind advisory has been issued for our area (up to 60 mph), but I'm not worried. We are used to that and much more at times. High today will be around 62°f, lows down to 36°. Getting ready for a small snow storm tomorrow. (I like it! )
Happy fog free days to all.

Temps over 30c all day and into the evening. Hot winds to go with it. I have been having meltdowns all day. I tried to have a sleep this afternoon. I woke at 5.30 nearly drowning in sweat and that was with the bedside fan on high. My health is starting to concern me. Ron.

Have you tried the wet t-towel or hand towels in the freezer Ron ? I does help a bit.Wear one round your neck, then when it starts to warm up,swop it with the one in the freezer. Also we in the UK have rubber hot water bottles, which are very comforting for aches and pains, as well as a winter warmer.Half fill with water, freeze and enjoy.I'll gladly send you one if it would help.

10c and grey here.

Today is the day we were supposed to have a little snow, even in the valleys. It's been raining off and on, the mountains are blanketed with snow, but none here. Darn, I would have liked to thrown a snow ball to a couple of you. :rof: :ghug:

It would be like a snowballs chance in hell here. Another hot one tho I went to work today. Very muggy, got a few days off now ,showers and storms predicted for all of them. Ron.

Australia and NZ should be building homes with a cool room in. Either that or a cold tub rather than a hot tub. Feeling for you, Ron.

Tis early morning, raining, and had an escaped hedgehog trying to wedge itself between the pillow end of my bed and the wall. Managed to get him and pop him back in his box only to fail to get back to sleep. So made a cup of tea and heard rustling in the utility room, he'd escaped again. This is a new one I discovered last night. His weight is ok so hopefully, if the weather remains mild he can go back out. He's being monitored by me for 24/48 hours. I tell you that hoglet is a nightmare, lol.

Bad storms all over Qld this afternoon. Heavy hail and rain as well as strong winds up on the granite belt at Stanthorpe. The storms stretched from the Qld border up to the Gulf of Carpentaria. A stockman was struck and killed by lightning up near Normanton in the gulf. The storm front covered nearly two thousand miles. fortunately for us the front did not get to the coast. It is expected to cross the great divide tomorrow and the storms will occur up and down the coast. some are expected to be severe. I am pleased to report tho that there are no escaped hedgehogs on the loose currently in Qld.
All of my fans and coolers are on spooky . Quite frankly all they do is circulate the hot air. I hink one of the big retailers is going to have a special on portable airconditioners soon so I may just invest. Between the air con the coolers and the cpap I won't be able to afford the power bill. Ron.

Oh my Ron. What weather u have to deal with. Keep safe now pal. Air con good but not cheap. Shame we cant run these things on poo power. We might be on a winner there 😀
Take care 💖💋

I wish I could double thank you for that laugh, Mandy. I think the people on this forum could power the whole world, if poo power could be harvested. (Me included!)

We had snow this morning, but it melted before I woke up. :(

Lol . Aw was waiting for the snowball fight to begin ⛄❄. Oh well maybe tmoz hun ☺💕

The storms hit the coast today. I had a nana nap this afternoon and missed the lot. No loss , storms a plenty I have seen. Going to be hot again tomorrow with more storms. It has been hot all week tho better on the coast than a little inland. Some of the central Qld towns hit 39-40 c today. I'm glad we get the sea breeze of an afternoon near the coast. 40 c would definitely kill me. I guess I will have to cancel plans to go west. Ron.

40 c would kill me too, Ron. It's overcast, but going to clear as the day goes on. And a nice 39°f here (or 3-4°c).

Brisbane got messed up with wild storms again this afternoon. Lots of hail rain and high wind. We had one on the coast as well but again I slept thru it( my afternoon nap again). I have not eaten anything I shouldn't but I am blown up like a balloon at the moment. I don't think a balloon smells that bad when it deflates tho. Don't you get sick of anti-social ailments, Ron.

I'm blown up at the moment too, Ron. Tis uncomfortable especially with the continually rumbling noises that can't be turned down.

Bucketed this morning, bird station and other items blown over. Sun is out now. Wish I could go out too. Crohn's n bones too bad.
