29f cold n wet .. so whats new !!
roll on summer this is doing my head in lol. My heads in no fit state at the best of times .. batty as i am 😆

Now that is a cool change, adds substance to all of those jokes that say that if you are going out in Melbourne take clothes for three seasons. That has to be rough on your constitution 24 degrees cooler from one day to the next. I much prefer the 19c but it must be hard to know what to wear from day to day. Are you likely to get any rain with it? Ron.

3c,but not a bad day.Temp.drop and maybe snow forecast in the next few days.

Well it had to come eventually,as long as Springs not late, to make up for a late onset of Winter.

It cloudy 17C here. They got the cool change wrong and it come though while we asleep.

Is to much to ask, to have something in between maybe a nice 25C to 35C

That Melbourne for you 4 seasons in one day.

Oh, Mandy, I have so many nights like that. You really have my sympathy.

Raining and cold here.

@Catherine. Amazing changes. You're not much above what we've been having. Strange for Australia surely. Perhaps Ron50 should visit you.

35f dry at the mo. Thanks Spooky you have my sympathy too its not fun when you cant sleep or wake up every hour or so😕. xx

Must say its beautifully sunny, very windy and quite cold. I have been a tad norty and just planted up another 25 bulbs. It's a bit late as the daffs are nearly out but then I shall have blooms into summer at this rate.

Not sure where all that rain is that we were expecting. Perhaps it'll arrive later. After dark hopefully.

1c/34f early on,rain, wind, sleet and snow.3c now, breezy and the roads seem to be clear,at least they are here.Tried to get to visit friends inland, but had to turn back.Traffic was at a snails pace. It's embarrassing how this country cannot cope with a few centimeters of snow on the roads.

We had heavy rain during the night and early this morning Diane.:frown:
Your garden is going to look beautiful.:thumright:

I got a hunch that the frost and cold winds will burn off the buds. I received my first hog house today. Don't know whether to put it out as I suspect all hoggies will be in hibernation now, or keep it in for little David who is now huge. I could let him have the run of the kitchen of a night and he could get in there. My only concern is where he will do his poos and pees, lol. Normally I let him run about my hall of an evening. Don't like him in the lounge now as I'm not trying to shift that book case again, the little tyke.

Sun has been out here today. Nice to see it ☺Your garden is going to be the most flowery one ever Spooky. Aw bless Dave the hog, you will have to get him toilet trained 😀

We are at about 30°f, and expect to be so all day. (And wow, Catherine, I thought Utah could have extreme weather changes in one day!) The next couple of days we will have some varying degrees of snow off and on. At least that will get rid of the gunk (smog) in the air. I woke up with very congested lungs, they were rattling pretty well, but thank goodness that doesn't last once I am up and about.

Hey well thats great spooky. All youve gotta do now is tell dave he is on the toilet training program lol. He may or may not listen tho 😆

Amazing Di I wonder how they can use the flush with those little paws:). I was watching a show on cats last night about animal best friends and one cat had a hoggie pal. Poor kitty had real problems every time she tried to hug her hoggie. We have a change coming thru with our weather. Today is 32 , hot and humid but tomorrow we drop to 24c with a couple of days of rain forecast. Again I will believe it when I see it. Hugs sandy breathing problems are the one thing that scare me spitless. Ron.

They said this morning it was going to be 32c today. It was . They also said it would be 24c tomorrow. They better not be lying. I have been using so much deodorant to cope with the humidity that I am breaking out in a rash. Not good. I've been in pain all day . I turned funny at work the other day , one of those where your body turns but your foot does not move. I really think I have sprained my arse , is that possible? I dare not goggle it. All I know is my hip and upper right thigh are aching constantly. Not happy I so hope it is 24c tomorrow. Ron.

Sorry Ron,I know I shouldn't have, but I had a little giggle.Fingers x'd it cools down as promised, and I really hope your bum isn't broke.I suppose it is possible, but maybe people don't talk about it much.

Cold 2c,but bright and sunny.Managed to get to our friends with the crabs,I mean of course the crabs I bought on the quay. What did you think I meant ???

I'm having visions of hoogies cuddling kitties and sprained butts trying to sit comfortably while watching "The Rocky Horror Show" all at the same time. Somehow wild fires, rain, and cold Reynaulds hands at the same fits in here too. I was once or twice told by a neurologist by my describing some strange blue hands that I have Reynaulds too, but I know from googling it I do not, my hands turn blue when I get warm. (???) Medically, I'm a puzzle as usual.
Speaking of puzzles, the air is now fresh and clean from fresh fallen snow, but I woke up asthmatic and coughing this morning. Had to use my emergency inhaler a couple times, but much better again now. I think I might try a humidifier tonight. (Even in the snow, our air is dry. ) And amogst everything else, I have a perpetually "sprained butt," I have a good case of known arthritis in my tailbone and was even offered cortisone injections, but I just can't handle the idea of a needle in our near the tailbone😨.
Tho this all sounds like a giant whine, I'm laughing so hard the rest of the day is going to be great. 😂😂😂

Well it is 24c and raining, the weather wizards got it right. I slept poorly , everytime I turned my backside hurt. I am sorry your asthma is flaring Sandy. I used to do a lot of skindiving in my younger days but I scared my self a few times staying down too long . I think it gave me a phobia about not being able to breathe. My cpap has a humidifier built in and it helps my night time breathing but I still take the precaution of using ventoloin at night and a nasal decongestant. Mandy I hope you enjoyed rocky horror , unique entertainment. Carol I hope you enjoyed the crabs , my favourite seafood except for oysters. Hugs to all ron. Sandy the palms of my hands are always bright red , nobody can tell me why and I have asked a lot of docs.

30f n frosty out slippery under foot. I had a brilliant night the show was superb . Great singers and good banter with the crowd. AWESOME. YES it is abit outthere Ron !! 😉
Hope you all keep well ..im off to try n get some kip b4 i get up for work at 5-30 am 😨 💕

!c,but dry and sunny again.Scott had some painting to do today (Aus.) Apparently metal has to be 40c or below, but it was 69c (the metal) so it will have to wait.

It's going stay very close to 30°f all day, snow later in the afternoon and evening. I'm perfectly happy with that.

Tomorrow is Sunday and we are expecting rain.......rainy days and Sundays always get me down.

2C here and no snow yet. I have to get to Oxford hospital tomorrow morning, fortunately I'm not driving my self. Am looking forward to seeing snow flutters.

Hi Spooky hope all goes well with the hospital tomorrow hun. Hope you see some snow flurries but they don't affect the trip to the hospital. Best wishes n hugs 💖

All the best for the hospital trip Di. Cloudy here and not so hot today, hip is still aching but not as bad as it was. Ron. Enjoy the snow Mandy it has been a long time coming .

It sure has ☺getting thicker now. My 26yr old son n partner have been making a snowman !!! 0c at the mo brr! Glad the hip is improving mate . 💕

Morning all, oh lm not sure if I want to go shopping in the snow, but I should be 4 it gets worse, only a couple of inches just now but the sky is full of it. So I think there will be more to come. ❄⛄

Cloudy. We had about 10cm of snow yesterday. Sitting on the couch this morning watching the curling Continental Cup.

Heck , missed out on the snow again. Thought my hip was improving but got a lot of spasms today, at least it was cool and cloudy. Ron.

Oh heck lad. These hips have a lot to answer to. I say shame we need them or I'd sack mine, they just don't want to do the job these days lol. 💖

@Ron, I have just remembered coming of Dihydrocodeine and suddenly I discovered I did have headaches after all. I also felt a lot more pain when I hadn't noticed it before. Wonder if it's been there a while but just masked by pain killers.

Well, MRI done. Downed that 1.5 litres of yucky stuff, can now have something to drink, get my liquid feeds on the go again and take some meds (no white medicine for 3 days before hand). That was a nuisance.

Not much snow in Oxfordshire, but the further north we came home the more was still here. We too have snow clouds overhead, Oxford the sun was desperately trying to burst through. Hospital quiet on a sunday. @Hawkeye, we didn't even get 10 cm of snow and we're excited, lol.

Hi Spooky glad all went well, and you got there n back safe sound. Oh yucky stuff, I no likey either. When do you get the results hun? I hope they will be good ☺💕

I got home just on time to expel that 1.5 litre. Should have results by GP in 7-10 days. Supposed to have a colonoscopy too, but I will say no to that. I don't trust my new specialist, he's a tad shady.

Snow flurries again.

Oh lucky you made it to home on time, ah ok hun, I don't like the waiting do you.... Hope all works out n you can get what you need from it, to help you. Shady specialist oh no!!!! Best wishes hun 💖💕

Yeah, he suggests if I have a stricture removed I will suddenly be able to eat all and sundry. No stricture removal has alleviated my food intolerances, like lactose, fructose, grains and fats. Think he's being a tad silly with that one.

We went into the deep freeze last night, it was -27C this morning. I heat with wood and keep the house on the warm side. I have oil for back up, but I wouldn't want to run oil at these temperatures. Firewood provides light exercise, I have to feed the fire in the wood furnace, carry in wood. In spring I will cut split and pile about 7 cords of white birch, it is delivered by logging truck in 8 foot lengths. Having been forced to retire early due to Crohn's and the surgery for the colostomy bag, financially I have no choice but to heat my home with wood.

Oh right one of those eh!!. Maybe you should do as he says then when you cant eat all n sundry sue his ass off lol . ☺

Jeepers Bufford thats mighy chilly mate. Ye oil probably not great at those degrees. I think there is nowt like a wood fire tho. Like you say its cheap to if you can get it from the wild as it were. Best wishes n keep warm 💕

Oh this snow is on the move, now its with you Ron. I was trying to upload a picture but it exceeds the forum file size. As it appears do all the others I tried 😞

Keeps me warm, 25C inside and with the money saved can go to paying bills, as my pension is small. Heating with wood is like having a small part time job, I figure it saves me about $2,000 a year that would have paid for furnace oil. I also love wood heat for the comfort level.

Yes, I can't resize pics either so no avatar nor uploads.

Glad it's not just me but sorry for you too. I am not great at this technology stuff, so I can't work out how or what to do :yfrown:. I have just found out how to do the attachment bit after asking for help, but I am still stuck... 😕

Wow that is a big savings. Good old wood eh!!. It's a really cosy comforting fire from wood.I would love to have a wood fire, but as I live in a rented home I can't. 😞 Oh well thems the breaks I guess 😏

I'm in rented and for the first time in my life, since this August last, I have good quality central heating. Hate to think what the bill will be though. Let's all go over to Buff's place.

Hey good idea Spooks. Are you ready to pack up and go. I will drive if you like. yeah wood fire at Buffords. I don't think we should say we are going though... Then he might pretend not to be in. We should catch him by surprise lol 😀

I don't think I could handle the -27c or the wood chopping. I think If anyone visited they would find a Ronsicle. I understand what you mean about coning off serious painkillers Di but I am still at 45mg daily on the way down and unfortunately I remembered when I did it last week. I let out a yell at the time and scared ten months growth out of the boss. she asked me what happened. My nephrologist totally vetoed any surgery on my back so I don't think he will agree to any hip work. I will just have to be more careful turning from now on. Another milder day , only 27c . Ron.

Eeek! I forgot I was going to try to help you Diane with some of that technology stuff. I guess I'm getting my mom's dementia. :(
It's a tad warmer today (about 40° F), so my hands are bluer today. A little overcast, but the sun is shining behind there.

No snow left. It's all gone and a grey day.
Sandy, my mum has dementia too. I'm dreading it.
Ron, I hope you haven't given yourself a hairline fracture. Mind, we're all getting old.

No snow left here either Spooky. Well some dregs. What's this about getting old!! No one told me I was getting old, is that why I am falling apart at the seems 😏 4c today at the moment..

Currently 23c, the house is hot, down from a top of 33c. There is a smell of smoke in the air. The smoke is from the Cribb Point fire where a house was lost today.

Yes Many they have found two houses gone but they rescued one lady from the beach where she had run to escape the fire. They appear to have the fire under control and everyone safe. So do I Diane , I have osteo-penia from prednisone as well as disc displacement and pars fractures in my lower spine. I just don't want to get into hip damage when I know I can't have intervention at least not without a lot of risk. It was around 28c today and Quite liveable. I went for a wander at work at lunch. It was a bad Idea. Ron.

Light rain/snow (mostly snow) off and on for the next couple days. Ugh, colonoscopy tomorrow.

Stay safe in the storms and snow. Sandy good luck with the colonoscopy. I know what you mean with the ugh , I have had ten of them now whilst my brother is around 30 +. They never get easier. Around 30c today and sunny. Ron.

sad to lose Glen Fry from the eagles from complications of ulcerative colitis. My Brother has suffered from UC for over 40 years kept in check by sulfasalazine and regular scopes . He got a new doc a couple of years back . First question the new doc asked was how come you are still alive. My brother had no idea how serious his condition is and still continues to think of it as annoying rather than serious . He has just turned 71. Seems what you don't know doesn't always kill you. Warm day at 31 c , same again tomorrow. Ron.

Ron, I think I'm one of those that think it as something to annoy me and is against the wishes and hopes I had for my life. I never consider how bad things really are. I think it's something to do with what is our actual 'normal' health. It's ordinarily worse than that of a healthy person, and gets really bad at other times. We are just determined to struggle on and get frustrated when we fail due to our health failing. So good on your brother. But sad for Glen Fry.

I knew Glen Frey had died, but not the cause. We are losing some of the greats lately, and the sad scarey thing is they're of our (most of us) generation.I expect the youngsters will have their "greats" one day,but I can't think of any.

Not a bad day again.2c but sunny this morning, but clouding over now.

First up Carol thank you for spelling Glen Freys name right it was no disrespect that I called him fry instead of frey. Funny how there are some areas of life that you have blanks about. As far as music goes I never really got out of the sixties and the only time I took any notice of the eagles was when they started putting these oldtimers doing reunion concerts on tv , so I became a late fan....Di I know exactly how you feel. There seems to be an automatic system in our brains that constantly re defines our health and our expectations of life with regard to our health. Fortunately for me that system seems to blank out previous experience. What I am now seems to me what I have always been . I honestly cannot remember what it feels like to be well. I guess that is natures way of trying to preserve our sanity. Another warm day , around 32c and no change in sight, I am still really glad that I don't have to put up with the heat range that Christine has in Victoria or Christi has in Africa. At least it is constant being close to the sea and having its temp moderating influence. Hugs to all Ron.

Having grown up in the sixties, but having a very strict father who wouldn't let us listen to any music but church music and classical, I'm now perpetually stuck in the sixties, music wise, but for other (rebellious plus taste) reasons. It was sad about Glen Frey. My dad has either a bad case of crohn's or UC, but is so private about it that nobody in the family knows which, even his current wife, and is now in his nineties, but keeps hanging on in spite of that and a very major stroke a few years ago.
Well, I survived my colonoscopy earlier today, feels like barely. I started to have a seizure a couple times, but came out of it very fast. The prep seemed harder than pervious times, but got thru that too, of course. And my heart condition (superventricular tachycardia, a normally rather benign but annoying and very tiring condition) decided to affect me when I got home, so I slept for several hours, minus a couple bathroom runs. Found some inflammation in my left descending colon, but he doesn't think it is anything of significance, treating it with short term antibiotic (in addition to long term med I'm on for chronic UTIs). ~Sigh~. My 23rd med added to my list (some are just supplements).
Oh, and the car windows and doors were frozen over with a freezing rain when we first tried to leave this morning. But the day turned out beautiful, so I hear.
Tomorrow will be better. :)
