Well, you two Rons, give me boring Brit weather anytime. We are expecting what is laughingly called a "heatwave" in a day or two.It might get into the low 30s down south, but will only get to the low/mid 20s here in the north east.AND it will only last a day or two.........But be prepared for whinging.

Move over, Carol, we're all moving in. The wildfire that kicked us out of our camping site a couple of weeks ago is still burning. I would love British weather.

We have had a young Aussie lad (perth)work with us while over here on some kind of cricket based trip. Poor boy is freezing most of the time lol. He cant believe our summer weather. We say this is a bad summer but its not much better any other summer 😃.
Least as he is getting some trips in to europe here n there he gets a chance to warm up 😆.

It was approaching 100° in our hometown, but we drove to higher elevations to enjoy cooler temps and fishing, and actually had to wear jackets. The skies looked a little threatening, but it never rained.

Early summer weather here , temps are above average. Showers early mornings and at night. Nothing heavy except for the storm last week. Temps have been 2-3 degrees above average all winter, Ron.

Oh Ron,and so it begins. It's not 5 minutes since the cool weather began for you.
We have short (ish) summers, and you have almost unoticable winters.Good Luck, don't envy you one bit.I hope you're keeping OK.
cooler here than yesterday, but being near the coast does that.Cloudy, but the suns doing it's best to annoy me.hahaha

Lots of people walking around in shirt sleeves . I refuse to remove my coat until I get heat stroke . Acknowledging winter is over is really bad karma... Ron.

People will think I'm mad,but I'm beginning to pine for cooler days and dark evenings.
Nice comfy sweaters, rosey cheeks and the feeling of not having to go out if the weathers bad.......bring it on !!!

The only good thing about the evenings becoming darker is that I don't have to stay up until after 11pm to hedgie watch. they're out there at 9pm. Lots of them, one very cute baby who's a right terror and threatens to eat my toes.

Sadly I've not seen Dave in about 7 weeks. I did spot his spikes with white paint and not seen him for a while. I'm miserable but hopeful. He probably is squashed somewhere. Idk.

Sunny and warm today.

Hope he turns up D.,you did more than your best, but once they leave home they go thier own way....ungrateful little toe-rags.

Very, very wet today. Flower's are grateful, well, the ones still alive! Looking forward to better weather next week.

Lot's of scurrying junior hoggies about my garden, and in my utility room... pooing! One hurt hedgie to the vet yesterday. I hope she's ok and can come home soon.

A good start but raining now quite heavily.......

Looks like the word is out D., Have you looked to see if there's a cross on your garden gate,or a little sign, low down, saying "This way to Hog Hotel".

24c today , mostly sunny . Front coming thru tonight with some rain tomorrow. Strange weather , we normally have s/westerly gales at this time of the year for weeks at a time. None so far the winds have either been from the south east off the sea bringing rain or from the north bringing unseasonal heat. Ron.

Perth, Western Australia,8 C night early morning, to 16-18C afternoon. Sunshine today, but heavy rains thru out the night. The sun is shining, able to go outside, plant many bearded iris rhizomes. Many different colors. Perhaps tomorrow I have approx 80 Gladiolus bulbs to plant. Last week planted stock, snapdragons, pansies, strawberries, lettuce & dill. Spinach, cucumbers, and small containers of Russian Tomatoes. The rain and sunshine should do the trick and survive as long as the rabbits don't come out and have a feast!

Front came thru on time . We got a moderately heavy storm and it is still overcast and quite warm, still around 23c. Does not feel like a nice night for sleeping. hope I am wrong. Ron.

A real summer's day today. Sadly hedgie was euthanized as she had two broken legs and a damaged spine. I was distraught, she was trotting up the garden and eating and drinking ok, just a bit wobbly. I is a hedgie down now.

We have a big pile of rain and cloud approaching from the west. Severe storms with possible heavy rains predicted for today and tomorrow. This is usually the dry , a period when we rarely get any rain at all. Sorry to hear that you have lost one of your little hogs Dianne.Ron.

Oh noooooo! I'm so sorry. Hopefully the summer's day will help warm you up.

You did your best D.,.....But life's a bitch sometimes.

A comfortable 19c so far today, but it will probably rise as the day goes on.

Apparently July/August has recorded the hottest temps.worldwide since records began.

Tis lovely here again until later when I hope we get thunder storms.
The hay bag with hay in that I used to give little Dave is now being used by a juvenile hedgie. He trotted into my utility room and made himself at home lol.

The word has definitely got round D., you're so lucky, and so are they of course.

Temps up to 23c since this morning, but there's a lovely cooling breeze off the coast.

Lots of cloud but little or no rain. All of the rain we were supposed to get took a detour south thru NSW. Brisbane and the gold coast got a good drenching but nothing on the Sunshine coast thus the Sunshine in Sunshine coast I guess. Ron.

Sunny day cool night, rising temps over the weekend. Meteorology think this may be our last cold snap for the winter. They have a habit of getting it wrong so I hope we get a tropical snow storm in the next few weeks. Ron.

I remember about 30yrs ago we had family visiting from NZ. One of the teenage lads went out back to help my hubby do some work on the car.He lasted 30 minutes at most, and came inside shivering with a bluish tinge to his skin.It was our springtime, late April /early May.Although he was born in the UK,he never came again.

Still grey here but has warmed to a balmy 16c.

Oh how I would love a balmy 16°c. It's going to get to 86°f today, with no rain in sight for days. The area where my family got kicked out of for camping at a few weeks due to wildfire nearby is now back open, but the area where most of us ended up is now on fire.😨

😨 indeed Sandy thank goodness you werent there now...
Rainy afternoon evening still mild tho. Oh for weather to get its act together n even things out. All these extremes are not good. 💕💕

South westerly winds are howling. A lazy wind doesn't go around you blows straight thru you. Very chilly. Ron.

We are looking at temps up to 26c this week with the possibility of our first spring storms. Yech summer is almost here. Ron.

Bank Holiday week-end.......14c and sun is struggling to come out at 3-35pm.

Ron, our son says the temps in Kalgoorlie haven't gotten above 14c all week and it's been wet and windy. He's suffering, bless him,the big softie.

26°c sounds a lot like what it has been around here lately. However, for the next few days it's going to get warmer before it cools off, then gets cold for winter. I think we're in the stage where we trade places, Ron. (Carol, I would like your son's temps.)

Carol I have been watching the WA weather. They have had one of their coldest winters ever I think whilst we have had one of our warmest ever on the other side of the country.
I agree sandy , time for a swap.. Ron.

Lovely day.16c sunny with a few scudding clouds and a breeze.Off for a cycle when the laundry's done.

Apparently we're to get Hurricane Gaston visiting from USA at the end of the week, let's hope they're wrong.

Nice sunny day went for a walk with my friend today.. had a lovely walk but had to do a bear in the woods..and use my porta potty 😨..oh joys of crohns eh !!.sorry if that was tmi..

When we go fishing, Mandy (the walk in the woods), it is always close to some sort of "facility," tho sometimes even the walk across the road (at our favorite spot) is difficult. But at least it is cooler there.
It was mid nineties today at home. No fishing involved. help, I'm melting!

I wasnt a long way of from some facility .. maybe 5mins walk just knew id not make it, sometimes i can hold on yesterday was not one of them 😕!!!!
Please dont melt Sandy aw it must be too warm for you right now..take care n take it easy .
Dry do far here but it is only 6.15 am lol xxc

' Oh for those long past days when we weren't afraid to break wind. It must be the day for reflection. I was laying in bed this morning and I was suddenly overwhelmed by the fact that I will never again have any feeing in my feet and legs. It does not pay to remember too much. Hugs to all Ron.

Another bunch of rain has crossed the centre of Australia and will hit us on Saturday. Ps Carol don't know whether you saw it but a mob attacked the kalgoorlie police station today. They busted the place up and some police were injured before order was restored. Ron.

Scott's just texted to tell me to google it.He's at Launceton (?) today working, and missed it.Wonder what it was about.

I've just googled it,and they weren't messing about eh ?

I just googled it myself, my, this world has developed some deep seated hostility toward one another.
Today is going to be hotter here, then should start to cool down (again). Autumn would be lovely.

Meteologicaly, (sp ?) yesterday was the last day of summer, and I have to say I'm not sorry to see it go. It's a cool 15c,so far today, but will warm up as the day goes on I expect.
Very soon the Xmas crap will find it's way onto the shelves, in a more blatantly obvious way than it has already.......Yipeeeee !!!! I don't think......

°88 in Glendale, Arizona at 2:28am. Predicted high of °102 on September 1st. Killer hot summer here this year. The average yearly rainfall here is about 7 inches. This is supposed to be our rainy season right now. A few downpours, but nothing worthwhile so far.

Ann, I've missed you! It has been hotter and drier here as well, and the meterologist said last night that there is an 80% chance of a hotter and drier autumn when that happens around our neck of the woods. Bleh!

Clouding over today. Rain expected this afternoon and tomorrow. Inland Qld has been getting some really good rain in the past two months. Not flooding rain just good soaking rain that rejuvenates the land. Even the Birdsville races may have to be postponed this weekend due to rain. Ron.

First storm of spring last night. Two hours of heavy rain. Floods down in Victoria. Heavy rain and storms swept thru South Australia yesterday. Still cold and wet over in Perth WA. Our temps are rising on the east coast. Ron.

Dianne either rip that grape vine out or be a little naughty and eat a few. I have lots of things I am not allowed to eat but sometimes you feel you just have to challenge fate ,I'm sick most of the time anyway, may as well have a satisfying reason, Hugs ron.

Grey and damp, but no rain. It's a welcome relief after the humidity of the last few weeks.
But we've been luckier than the south of the country,or not, depending on whether you enjoy sweating, fried brain cells and sleepless nights. Some folks actually pay good money for the privilege of holidaying in hot countries.

Three major rain events heading our way over the next six days. Western Qld has had some heavy rain and there are floods in western NSW Victoria and South Australia. It is the wettest winter we have had for years. they believe it is the result of an La-nina like condition in the Indian ocean as opposed to elnino in the Pacific causing drought. This one brings rain that crosses the whole continent. Ron.

It's been a cool 14c all day,and grey.Dense fog off the coast, what we up here call sea fret.Couldn't see the sea at all........not complaining though, just saying.

I've always loved a good dense fog, probably because it is so mysterious like a good who-done-it novel. We also don't get fog here hardly at all. Smog yes (sigh), fog no. But today is a beautiful balmy day, nice and cool with a beautiful blue sky. My kind of day. :)

The sun did come for a short visit at lunchtime but it didn't last, and the fog crept inland and upriver from the coast for the rest of the afternoon. We did manage a bike ride though which was great.Storms forecast tomorrow so thought we'd best make the effort.

Wet start,14c. dry now but cloudy.Stormy during the night but I slept through it for the second time this week, so no complaints.

Raining flood rain all around the country except here. Nice for a change to miss it. 28c today 29c tomorrow. Lost my little mate today, she was a small black silky terrier cross who looked just like hairy mcLarey in the kids books. She was one month short of nineteen years old. We had to have her put down because of a stomach cancer, her name was Bella. I will miss her. Ron.

Ron I'm so sorry at your sad news.I really feel for you.We lost our little lad 18mnths ago and I miss him every day.He was no.8 and the last one.We can no longer cope with the heart ache.......Just get through it best you can my friend,no one can help.Big hugs.

Still warm and sunny, darn it.Put the autumn-winter duvet on the bed to soon......Big mistake !!!

Dianne and Ron,hope you're both ok my weather whingers.I've noticed your absence and am beginning to worry.

I was about to say it looks like no-one is having weather anymore, it has been so quiet here lately.

For a change, our weatherman was correct. He told us it would be a roller-coaster weather-wise this week, hot one minute and cold the next. Earlier this week it was an oven baking 95°, right now it is 51°, going to be in the 40s tonight.

Eeek! Just heard on the news that we had a small tornado very near here (we were basically unaffected other than rain and PTSD like memories when we had damage from a huge wind storm in Dec 2011 and small unreported tornado that hit our house and ripped 1/3 roof off, roof trusses hit our vehicle and some landed several houses away, and a couple other houses slightly less damaged from tornado but most in area damaged from wind storm itself). There were two other small tornados, one about half an hour away, the other a couple hours away. Parts of the state are also flooding. It is rare that Utah gets tornados at all because of large mountains (the Rockies go right down the length of the state), so what is going on with this?
