What song is bouncing around your head?

I just listened to it 👍 I like that one too. Listening to music really helps the insomnia nights go quicker. I am listening to the album Dummy, by Portishead tonight. Entire album is good. I don’t know how broad their taste is though.

One of my favourites! I like the Blood sugar album, and What Hits !? the most. I am currently learning Taste the Pain, Soul to Squeeze, and a few others. So nice to meet another fan!

Thanks Rainbow! The song does have funky base play.

Flipping though my Ipod music collection in the car, I accidentally played this song the other day. I hadn't heard it in ages. I remember the "Oldiest" radio station would play it sometimes.

Being Veterans Day, well a day off now, thought it a good time to post.

Nice song! Our banana tree was just trimmed up over the weekend too. Winter is soon to arrive in S. Florida. We are preparing. The cold should last a morning or two.:p

i think I've read the book that could have used that song as it's theme! About all I read are health books. One book seemed to blame every condition on poo and the digestive tract....which of course i agreed with! It's amazing to me when I get the gut working correctly what other parts of the body suddenly begin to see less pain and improve.

Heard this song today. It had me thinking so true in todays cyber world.

lots of fakes out there Chris , if you have more that 3 or 4 TRUE friends you can be considered a very lucky person , the word "friend" is used way too casually nowadays .

I always liked this expression ,

“A good friend will come and bail you out of jail, but a best friend will be sitting next to you saying, 'Damn, that was fun'!”

I might have put this song here before but its my favourite and I like sharing , if anyone wants to join in an Irish get together learn this song and you will make lots of friends ,

Great song Tony. When I was in my twenties my favorite pub was just down the street.

“Calgary’s friendliest Pub”
Established in 1992,
The Cat ‘N Fiddle Pub is Calgary’s Premiere Celtic Pub.

It's rumored to be haunted as it was once a funeral home.

thats funny because
a lot of pubs in Ireland were like a one stop shop they had a pub in one part , a food store/ hardware store in another and a funeral parlor in the back , thats what you call cornering the market .

Sounds like fun....next time in Calgary for sure there. We are almost half Irish. My grandma used to say Lace Curtain Irish, not sure what that meant but was cool to know.

Morrissey is unique , I dont like a lot of his stuff but every now and then he really comes out with some great music

A station I used to listen to would play Morrissey frequently. I stopped listening to the station though a number of years ago. A DJ there was "unique", or maybe better said disturbed scum and so I stopped listening.

I hate liars ,
A murder will Kill you A thief will steal from you But youll never know where you stand with a liar.

Very true....it took me tricking him saying she told me....guess I suspected all along but was trying to be positive...ya all songs are sad or angry songs for awhile.

I kind of like TobyMac.... His rhymes are very fluent/ and always congruent/he's a hip hop star if only you knew it.............I love poetry and it's kind of like that, poetry with a hip hop style beat.

Thanks Chris. I always thought of her more as a Chicago band and not likely all that well known outside of the area. Apparently though she is somewhat known around the country, having been on national TV. At least I noticed that on Youtube.

Catchy tune! My father who lives close by to me recently bought a small motor boat. We've been taking it around the area exploring. There is the Coast Guard ship close by. Supposedly there are Navy vessels in the area but haven't seen them yet. Shrimp boats everywhere. Bubba shrimp docks here. Then of course the numerous motor boats and sail ships sailing the water can be seen everywhere. It's been enjoyable being on the ocean blue water.

I didn't know if Evie was popular or not. She was well played in our little house in California I recall though.

Thanks Chris! I'm not the most chatty of people but I've enjoyed taking in what others listen to. I'm surprised you don't mention more Canadian songs. Your countries population might be small but it is amazing at the large contribution Canadians have made toward popular modern music.

When growing up in Florida as a child I always remember the "Rush test" I had to pass. Some kids, most kids I should say, in the neighborhood were rock listeners. I wasn't. I didn't want the others to know that though! I wanted to fit in! The Rush test was where I needed to know the lyrics to Rush's song Tom Sawyer. I studied for a few days and passed. I could the be part of roving bicycle neighborhood gang. We more or less just rode around from pool to pool. It was Florida. It gets hot.
