What song is bouncing around your head?

I have to admit, I find Sweet Caroline an annoying song! I like Neil Dimond. He's a great song writer. Sweet Caroline was a big hit for him. I suspect my annoyance comes from my parents playing that song or album of his one to many times! Dad was a Neil Diamond fan.

When Neil Diamond was played, not long afterwards would come a Roger Whittaker song. I still enjoy hearing this tune.

Thanks Ron,
I'm kind of chuckling. I woke up in a good mood, the sun was shinning, that song was bouncing in my mind - and not long afterwards the heavens opened up and it rained and rained. Bad timing on my part.

My 15 year old nephew is looking to fix up an electric car I put together a number of years ago. It runs but not well. It has electrical bugs. As successful as he had been with school, I'm guessing my old car will be zooming around in no time. The nephew wanting to work on the car had me thinking of this song.

Oh my, isn't that the guy singing from pimp my RV!? :p I was never a follower of the LA metal bands, but they certainly were and are popular.

I'm pretty sure it is Bret Michael's that stared in the pimped out RV show. Not that I would know! I didn't watch it. There is a guy up the street from my parents house with the most dazzling RV. It's huge, and very shinny. Maybe describing it as a hot rod of RVs might not be correct, but it's noticeable going down the road. I'm guessing the neighbor is a fan of Bret's pimping RV show.

Heard this song this morning. Always enjoyed it and it had been awhile since I last heard it.

Good song Beach. :) I always liked that one but never knew who sang it. I guess we learn something new every day huh? Yeah, that must be nice to have a super cool souped up RV. Man, the places I would travel if I had that kind of dough! A guy can always dream I suppose. I just need my numbers to come up in the lotto and I'm there, wherever "there" is.;)

Great I want to ride my recumbent bicycle now...didn't remember all the words just the chorus it's cool.

:thumright: Where I live there are all kinds of bicycle riders around. The area is known for that. I've not been on a recumbent bicycle but they look to me to be good fun.

They are so much better for my back and neck but they are harder because you can't stand up and put your weight behind it.

This one is practically synonymous with hockey here in Canada. I was reminded of it by Bicycle Race. :)
Queen - We Will Rock You (Official Video)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tJYN-eG1zk

Every once in awhile I will be asked to attend a University of Illinois sports game. If not familiar, the UofI is well known for fielding terrible teams. The saying often said by UofI fans isn't a hope that the team wins, but that the game will be "entertaining". It had me chuckling thinking of the Queen song. If We will Rock You came over the PA, I'd guess there would be stunned silence, & possibly concern that the opposition fans had taken over the PA system.

Beach why u of Illinois? My daughter goes there. If you need anything
Julie

Thanks for the offer of help. My family is from Champaign. We have homes there. Well, we're sort of from Champaign. We've lived in town for a long period of time, but I suppose it can be said lived many places overall. My brother in law teaches at the UofI too. It's a wonderful town, with a lovely campus, with sports teams that far to often disappoint. That's OK I suppose as I don't watch sports all that much. It really is about the entertainment for me.

That was very sad to see Glen Campbell passing from Alzheimer's disease. That's a condition that has taken a few family members of mine. It's just a pet theory of mine, but I've thought that my IBD condition could be connected to Alzheimer's that runs in my family. My IBD condition not only effects my GI tract, but also can lead to memory issues. Others in my family alive have somewhat similar memory issues with out the GI tract problems. Anyway, it's one of those things that I've noticed and wondered about. I've noticed when my GI issues have resolved, which has occurred a couple of times, the memory issues go away.

Couldn't believe Glen Campbell passed away. Didn't watch the news yesterday. I loved him in True Grit and we owned all his albums growing up.

Hope you feel better soon Cmack! These are terrible diseases.

I know for me, I generally don't have a message with the songs I post. Typically it is a tune that I heard recently and had me feeling good.

If I'm in a good mood I play happy upbeat stuff. If I'm a little frustrated or upset, I play more aggressive stuff, metal/hard rock etc. It's my form of therapy and lets me blow off some steam in a peaceful way. Sometimes it's just random, I think music is a great form of medicine for the soul. :)

The Beatles revolution song will not play here in the US, at least with the link posted, but most Beatles songs are enjoyable to me.

I have the Beatles Live at the BBC, which is rhythm and blues, and rock and roll cover versions of material from the late 1950s and early 1960s.

The Beatles are great but when they were super doped up some of the music did get a little strange. It was still mostly good, just maybe a wee bit too much LSD. :ywow:
