My first symptom was joint pain at age 16, and I didn't realize until twenty years later that that's what it was--told it was "growing pains"! Maybe if they knew more about crohn's then, I would have been diagnosed sooner--before I had a rectal fissure and almost bled to death!

Your "beginning", sounds like mine. I turned 50 this year. The Crohn's has taught me a few hard lessons for sure....however after years of Hospital stays, Cat Scans and colonoscopys galore. I am on the top of the world.Ive got a colostomy that lately I am hAnywat. Sawaving changing problems with it. I have been constipated for on 2 days off one day. I am living on soup .
