I think I need something to make me go to sleep. I need to turn my brain off!

You could read my past posts. Zzzzzzz...in no time!

K from down under
rest well and heal, have great dreams
you are not alone

Haiku for health! I'll send this 'Win!' your way,if I may.

I'm tired of feeling "motley." Just my gripe for the day. And with that, I win!:dusty:

Hmmm...I use motley in the more affectionate way...people who have been through adversities, the shine and polish warn off from fighting and the true person still there. We may not be pretty to look at(with the exception of Carol,of course)but we are good folk.We have our bumps and bruises and oxygen tanks and everything else life throws at us and we persevere...and hopefully have fun from time to time.

What the fu**,I think Robert just reached through the thread and slapped me for being so warm and fuzzy! The wonders of the internet...I smell a cigar. :poo:

Dave, I took no offense at being described as motley, just tired of feeling that way.
Even though I don't (officially, but sometimes I wonder after one month solid of D and tummy problems a few to several times a day) have an IBD, I feel like I fit in with this group with my multitude of other health problems (and I have my "official" tie with Doug having crohn's. )
Today I got a call reminding me of a doctor's appointment tomorrow, asking if I had my labs done in advance as they requested. Because of my upcoming cardio doc appointment I immediately thought it was them, but I didn't remember them asking for any labs. It turned out this was my kidney doctor who made the appointment a year ago, but I apparently had not written it down, and had no recollection he wanted to see me again. So many doctors, so little time. :rof: (have to laugh or I would cry. )

Hey all, I see the gang is all here and you are not motley as suggested just a little worn on the edges.....okay motley. Nice to see everyone in fine form. Sandy go get your labs done. Cigar smoke is better that the smoke that wafts in from my neighbors daily - talk about pungent - skunks have nothing on mj.

Hope you all have a great day, afternoon, evening, night or whatever the case may be thinking good thoughts for all of you.

WINNING! :ylol2::ghug::ytongue:

Motley...like runt of the litter in the animal world? Some of the animals I've owned were pretty rough on the outside but had the best character on the inside.

Will it be chips or jacket spuds? Will it be salad or frozen peas? Will it be mushrooms? Fried onion rings? We'll have to wait and see... Hope it's chips it's chips, we hope it's chips it's chips.

We have snow, I'm a sea level and the local hills have snow on them [emoji33][emoji300]️[emoji300]️[emoji300]️[emoji300]️[emoji300]️[emoji300]️[emoji300]️[emoji300]️

There's snow forcast for Scotland,but it won't last,it's summer !!!

And maybe some tasty dips,ooooo hurrah,hurrah :dance::dance::dance:

Morning all, it is hot, hot, hot here. We desperately need rain, but none in sight in the forecast. Hope you all have a wonderful day. Winning for now.

I annoy people too, I'm such a chatterbox. My dad started calling me that when I was 3. He did move on to calling me half pint, but he still uses chatterbox to this day.

I am one happy camper today. All that heart testing, and the thing I feared most, it isn't. It turns out I have a rather benign heart condition that can be treated with just meds. Yay, YAY, YAY!

I'll take a lunchtime win while here at work. I may have heard I can be a tad annoying. ..perhaps a couple times. A couple thousand, right?

Good news Sandy! I'll give my win to you. [emoji219] [emoji219] [emoji219]

Well,I'm not annoying..............but I am winning.

Very good news Sandy,I'm so happy for you and Doug. T., did tell me though,in an E mail, yesterday.:ghug:

So you've raised yourself above us riff-raff ROBERT,and we're not good enough to bother with, well, your loss !!!:tongue::tongue:

Geez guys, first motley and now riff-raff, not sure but this could be getting worse....although it is pretty catchy motley riff-raff. Happy Friday everyone, or Saturday for those that are already there. Have a great weekend. Winning at least here anyway for a minute. :rof:

My daughter's name is Abby so my son called her Gabby for years. He was right, she hasn't changed a bit.

Great news Sandy!! What a relief. :ghug:

Grumps (and Dave since you were the one to call us "motley" :rof:), I once called our motley little group looney tunes, and that name stuck around for quite awhile. I think we are many things, but boring we are not. :rof: :rof: :rof:

I have to add, after my first dose of my new med last night, I had my first relatively pain free night in my chest for many months. It's a miracle, I tell you! It doesn't matter what all of you do, I already won. :) :) :)

I'll saunter in for a win.

Not sure why, but here is our kiwi plants. Perhaps I channeled K and Trev. Lots of yummy fruit. Win!

~snicker~ Usually it's me sending an email but not including the attachment. Welcome to my world Dave! :ycool:

P.S. Don't give up, Dave. I need someone to carry my oxygen tanks :)

I don't give up...complain,moan,WTF,from time to time...but give up? I'll rig a harness for Bruce for the oxygen tanks. He is 161 lbs. according to his vet visit last week. We can chat while he carries the heavy load. Good thing he doesn't eat much. :ywow:

I was once told ,that when you feel fed up and miserable, think of all the wonderful things that make your life worth living...............I've been sitting here thinking for 3 days, and I'm still fed up and miserable !!!!!

Just kidding,and winning

Me Too! Morning all, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Have a great day thinking of you all while I'm slaving away here trying not to lose what little is left of my mind. Winning I think

Hi Grumpy, I think we all lost our minds to one degree or another a long time ago (and yes, I am speaking for myself.) But we also did have a good day yesterday, the morning and early afternoon spent with Doug's cousins, the evening with my mother. :)

Hey ho,have now been informed that I'm borderline diabetic !!!
I'm not to bothered right now.Apparently according to the web.,it's reversible if I'm sensible. But I'm always sensible...
I'm fed up of being flaming sensible !!!

Look where it's got me !!!

But at least I'm winning.:dusty::dusty::dusty:

Hot and sunny.......tornado in the forecast.....Here is Robert?

Sorry to hear your news Carol...fell better soon

Winning.......

Funnily enough I feel quite well, despite Crohns, arthritis, gallbladder probs ,high BP,and chronic back ache.
But I'm quite upset that all these things are creeping in, even though I've always taken care of my self, more or less.

But I'm winning again and that's something

I'm jealous Shanen! Congrats! Is it nice? Of course it is, or you wouldn't have bought it. We have an old tent trailer (we bought new) that we have enjoyed over the years, but I want something we don't have to set up every time we pack it. It's too much work now. If I could really have my druthers, I would have a class B motorhome, but the kind I really want would cost as much as our house practically. But I can dream.

It's a 17ft travel trailer. Heat, air conditioning, toilet, shower, microwave and tons of storage. After years of kids and tents it's a luxury. No more packing and unpacking every weekend. No more wet, soggy tent. It's a year old but hardly used and a huge price discount because it's not new. I'm giving the tent to the kids!

Trysha, I just had to thank your last post so it wouldn't say 1,234 thanks in 999 posts. You're now at an even 1,000 (until you post again probably).

I know some of you have used, or are using Tramadol, so do they work for you ?
Docs given me a months supply to try, before he adds them to my repeat 'script'.I got them last year but took them back to the pharmacy as I felt a bit weird on them.I took one almost an hour ago,and my back pain is still there.I only have to take one 50mg,twice a day.

Many Happy days Shanen,:thumleft:we were "old age travellers" until last year and have had over 35 yrs of pure pleasure, despite the English weather and the dratted Scottish Midge

Carol, you may need to take paracetamol with it to help activate the tramadol. I use it for bad pain I take 2 paracetamol and 2 tramadol. It makes me a bit thirsty but it works for me in regards to blocking pain receptors.

Thanks K.,I'll try that as long as you think it'll be ok.I'm a bit wary of meds.:drink:

The Tories, the party of low tax, are now considering taxing workers so they have a 'pot to dip into', in case of unemployment, or short term illness.

They seem to have forgotten this is what national insaurance is for.

Just wanted you to know that pain can also put your blood sugars up. That's why it's good to manage it if you are pre diabetic. .

SandyUte uses Tramadol. I have tagged her so she should see this.

Enjoy yourself Ducky I hope you have a great time.

So I figured out that in the US trailers are what we call caravans. So what are what I call a trailer is in US speak? A trailer fits on the towbar. Has two wheels a flat deck and sides. My firewood comes in a trailer not a caravan. ;)

I was asleep, lol (slept like Kirsten last night).

I have used tramadol for quite a while now. Because of side effects, I won't take it in the daytime except when desperate, but also find it not strong enough in situations where a narcotic like pain killer is needed, and too strong in others where things like ibuprofen are taken by others. I don't have a lot of choice because I can't take aspirin or iboprofen with my blood thinners, and Tylenol (acetaminophen) scares me because of past liver and kidney tests that are not always good (and it doesn't do a thing for me).

If all pain could just magically disappear from all our lives, that would be ideal. Ha ha ha ha ha!

I call tramadol "damn-it all," because it is what I use when there is nothing else to use. (Either too strong or too weak. )

Trailers can be either recreational vehicles towed behind another vehicle, or utilitarian. It is any non motorized wheeled vehicle pulled behind another.

my motorhome (RV) also known as a camper or called a flying pantry by bus folk, is registered as a self propelled caravan. also known as motor caravan and we are called movanners. Shanen I hope you enjoy your travels as much as we have, its very addictive. now for my win.

Carol, how did you get on?

Ok.I think.I only took one yesterday. Ache starts every morning after I've been standing eg;cooking, ironing etc.and during or after my daily walk, depending how far I get.Only had one tram.with one co-codamol (low dose) so far today. But the ache kicked in when we were at the shops, about an hour and a half later. It'll be trial and error I expect.I had the tram 2yrs ago,but had wild dreams,so I won't take them after 6pm.

I hope you're OK Kirsty.Sometimes I feel such a fraud because I know you are all much sicker than I am.But I'm staying, because I appreciate you all as friends, even the "men",and of course, most importantly,we can laugh at ourselves and each other without causing offence. So cheers my friends:rosette2: Winning because I'm sooooo nice :rosette1:(sometimes )

When you feel miserable and in pain it doesn't matter the cause. The laughter I find here makes me happy and that's all that counts.

Except for my winning.

Trev - I'll enjoy the travels much more now that it'll be more comfortatble. Already planning longer trips and trying to figure out how to squeeze more time off of work.

Dave -Spent time around Portland and Camden a few years ago. Beautiful! I'll let you know if I head your way but then I'd have to visit my sister-in-law so don't hold your breathe waiting. :rof:

Welcome to another day, found out yesterday that my doc hadn't done the referral to the diabetes clinic, So I got a nurse to chase him up. What a bugger!

So sorry Kirst! I have found that dealing with docs is a nuisance, at best, for the more part. You have my empathies.
I "graduated" from my three months of physical therapy yesterday. I guess that deserves a win.
