I might have to. only reason (besides the chatter) I woke is doggy was trying to herd Doug and me together. She wants us in the same room. I want the bed, Doug wants the TV in the livingroom.

Thanks, I'm next. re toe, had surgery on arthriric big toe a year ago, basically shortened bone to give joint room), three screws to hold it in place, got an infection in the bone, now because of mottled bone prob have to have joint replacement when I can't stand it anymore.

I'm whining as well as winning.

w-h-i-n-e (toe and throat kept me up. I feel for Linda and her kiddo then my toe hurts, then I remember what like to have a sick kids, when they aren't faking it, then it puts me in perspective, then my toe and throat hurt and wake me up, then, thank God, I'm not and Doug is not (nor kiddos) at hospital, then toe hurts, of all stupid things.

Ouch!...and you're not whining but your not winning either..._:)

I just want to know how to take a sick day off of not working and yes I am to above, but thanks. does that make me a whino?

more awake. have a good nap. maybe we can have one of our infamous parties and scare 'em all away when we are more rested? I'm going with Doug (if he doesn't know) to Lowe's for awhile.

still winning and deserve the win here. I kept my mouth shut:ywow: and didn't tell you (I knew I would be harassed) that I still had my Christmas tree up. actually, I was just getting ready for next year's party, but it is hard to keep dusted. Almost had a St. Patrick's day tree.

Alot of people leave up tree:heart:;):soledance:s year round and decorate for every season! I will be back later love!

I've been waiting for you win! how are you feeling? Are you glad you're home? I think it wore my sister out a little too go home, but a lot of family health issues have been going on, and I think that is mostly what caused it. Hope every day is getting better.

My win, what a great summers day. Two cruise ships in the harbour today. I'm relaxing after work while hubs cooks tea!

Sandy,

It feels amazing to be home! I have been sleeping a lot that is why I have not been around much. My body has just been through a lot so the more sleep I can get the better. I have been feeling pretty good and getting better each day. I had a bout of nausia on Saturday, but I think that is behind me now. I go back on Thursday to get the staples out.

Doug calls it getting the shrapnel out. stay well my friend. sleep what your body tells you it needs to. I'm glad your home.

I made a tea to try to help sore throat last. Just had to use an inhaler for full blown asthma attack. anyone have good home remedies?

I know coffee def. works for asthma. Louie had to do that when his inhaler ran out and it does work! Proven.

Honey is supposed to soothe a sorethroat with a bit of whiskey. Just a touch.
Also gargle with salt water (lukewarm) every half hr. That works really well to heal it.

tried a honey lemon tea that worked for awhile (no alcohol). can't handle gargling with salt water, and now not supposed to with heart healthy (boring) diet. not supposed to have salt at all. my bp has gone down tremendously though. I'll bee back!

Also not even supposed to have caffeine (even my beloved dc) at all because of racing heart. sigh.

Also not supposed to use inhaler. it's either not breathe or have racing heart. I chose breathing though.

One good thing, propranolol helps the racing heart. Mine was 113 per min. After the propranolol it is usually 76-84 beats per min. Marked improvement. Sorry had to take another pain pill. Everything is aching today. I got down on my knees to do something and my right knee has hurt all day. I couldn't get up till Mike helped me!:ytongue::ytongue::ytongue:pS PM'D u a book!:D

well, my book was longer, lol! I have to go eat my not so healthy special dark chocolate bar. inhaler did help.

my heart was 130 with propranolol. yikes! doing no worse now, though. better if anything. too tired to measure. loves to all people and Robert.

feel much, much better. breathing was more of a problem the last couple days than I realized. heart rate down too. that deserves a win, even if you don't give it to me (but I will take it anyway, thank you very much.)

I can tell I am getting cranky - I had an 11.45am meeting in Town - my route (walking) takes me past Buckingham Palace - destination 10 minutes from there - perfect. Ran into 'Changing of the Guard' - marching band - horse-drawn gilded carriages - police horses - traffic chaos - a million and one tourists. I growled into all the cameras.

he threatens his staff then calls the cops because they are out of control.

he also got caught shoplifting but came home and put the rest of his stash on the kitchen table as if to say nya nya nya, you didn't get it all.

the good news, he always calls me when he is in trouble (with an altered version of what happened)
the bad news, he always calls me when he is in trouble
the other bad news, I found out I have laryngitis.

the bad news, I wouldn't believe my life was possible either even if written as a piece of fiction.
the good news, I still have friends both here and IRL

mine does that all the time, esp at start of posting

sleep if you need too. it is body's way of recuperating (maybe that is why I never wake up) .. although feeling pretty good physically right now

I just got a webpage from Natural News saying that the ocean is contaminated with splenda!!! Must've had a Boston tes party again! No wonder the fish up there are so skinny!

Robert smoked all three!!!
Splenda is not absorbed by the body so it is ending up in the waterways and they don't yet know how it will affect the ocean life. It could be disasterous. They should have to stop making it!! I don't want skinny whales!!!

I liked the skinny fish part. if I catch a fish, ever, it is one of those. I always told Ashley I would rather have her drink sugared soda pop, if any (but rather none) because the artificial sweeteners are so bad for you. her new foster mom is undoing anything I ever taught her.
