Life is full of hope
Hope springs eternal!!! (even when other things don't)
Life is full of hope
Isn't life fun Robert, one persons drama, is another's natural way of being. I guess it's about making an informed choice. What did you eat for dinner that night?
Mark my words, there will be a new trend in insurance claims:ybatty:
So how do you like Switzerland? See any volcano activity? I heard they are becoming restless these days!
Well I don't know about volcano's but based on a 24 hour trip I am going to say Switzerland is the world's most expensive country - any takers?
How do people afford the everyday cost of living? They must all be professional salesman like you!
Why not eat horse meat? I know some salami has horse meat in it. And I had a horse meat hamburger in Slovenia couple years back. And they sell horse meat as meat for people to eat sometimes.
If I understand correctly the horse meat scandal (at least the one we have here) is because the mis labeling of the meats and that is what causes the scandal. Not that the meat is not edibe.
Look what I found - Zurich - 6th most expensive place to live in the world (Geneva was 4th)
6. Zurich, Switzerland (Tied)
Zurich, home to a number of banking giants such as UBS and Credit Suisse, moved one spot higher this year from 7th in 2011 and 9th in 2010.
Zurich is an attractive location for international firms looking to take advantage of Switzerland’s low tax rates. Expatriates are also drawn to Zurich’s high quality of life. The city ranks third in the world when it comes to education, tax, and security as motives for purchasers to buy luxury property, according to Knight Frank.
While most European cities have dropped in the rankings, the strength of the local currency, the Swiss franc, has boosted the cost of living in Zurich. While Mercer ranks Zurich as the sixth most expensive city, the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) ranks it as number one. EIU’s survey covers 130 cities and takes into account 160 products and services.

It's just that we look at horses here as pets or creatures of grat beauty and grace. We have a hard time imaging eating animals we love.
I knew you'd say that. You never can tell what I'm going to say, can you? But I will leave you in peace this time ...
Me too, don't like the taste or the thought of it either.
Mine as well, Teresa. But then, I have only eaten deer meat a handful of times too.
They have a liver smell!!!:stinks:Most any deer meat I've eaten was deer summer sausage. Now that I can eat. The smell of the steaks just makes me want to hurl.
My ex husband used to hunt so we ate moose and some grouse type birds a lot back then. I always liked game meat. And my dad also does hunting si I have grown up wit the idea. But he never gets anything. lol. But thay have a ranch so I do get the thing as horses as pets.
My cousins in Washington have a farm that they are trying to get going with free ranged eggs and I think they do some meats too. I wish I had acces to free ranged eggs. I hate the idea of how production animals are kept.
Not how God wanted his animals to be I am sure. right Teresa?
Anyways. I am going to go to bed with my happy satisfied pets.
You all have a good day. zzzzzzzz
Here for my "evening steal it from ya" win!
I don't like the thought of eating any animal, but do it because that is how I was raised. I refuse to eat horse meat, but I have eaten squid and cow's tongue. now how disgusting is that? I also don't like the "gamey" taste of deer meat. Doug refuses to hunt, but was raised in a family of hunters (and fishers).
I would also love to see the Swiss Alps. I love the majesty of mountains, and love living at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.
Casually strolling in---hands in pockets..... to claim the win........
Hate to say it but to me squid and cows tongue is not exotic at all. I don't like squid. Toung is okish. My stepdad is from India. Hes not one of the main stream religions there as he and his family are Catholics and eat dont have religion restricting diets. I was grown up in an environment that its exiting to taste just about anything.
The most exotic things I have had it probably frog legs or fermented shark meat (nasty nasty stuf). At our last trip to Tunisia my man had a camel steak and I had a taste of that too. I however can't get myself to even try snails or oysters.. and really don't like things like octopus or clams. But I wouls definately taste some of them chocolate covered grashoppers if I had a chance to. :eek2:
But there is some pretty exotic things to eat there in the US too. Rocky mountain oysters.. don't thin I would try them. Or what about rattle snake?
Anyways
I win!
Yeah. Lets talk about chocolate instead. The box of it the you (Robert) owe me.
You go right ahead, Robert. I shall pass....
I will pass on that one too. Waiting for my chocolates.
My dad eats pickeld pigs feet.. or something.. just as nasty.
I will go make some tea now to go with my chocolate.
No, no, no
Teresa would you like some chocs?
Key food groups:
Chocolate
Beer
anything else is just showing off
I've eaten chickens feet, frogs, snails, oysters, brains, octopus, paua, pipi, clams, mussels, whitebait and the one thing I totally hate is tapioca. I ate something yummy in china, but don't ask me what the meat was. It was called Rogamoore, pita bread and chilli meat.
You mean "Rigamortis" LOL!!!!
Just back - just going again - looks like I will have to trust you all for a bit.
Aren't you a trusting soul.....lol!
