Okay - but you would all have to work

Sandy could organise the excursions - Cheryl the drinks (of course) - Kirsty the timetable - Sanni could act as interpreter - Carol could carry the bags........ I would just swan around like Lord Muck.

I sleep on the job , but okay

Wow - of all the people to forget .................................... I'm in trouble now - actually I had thought of a rude one for you, then thought better of it.

You can be our troubleshooter - smooth any problems out.

Boy, you're lucky!!!!

If Robbie is our butler, he has to bring us coffee and wake us up in the mornings! Cream and sugar in mine plz!!!:lol2:

Keep it coming Robert this is great entertainment for me and a great distraction from my procedure today

Port is still not working. :-( Nurse tried to put in a periphial line Friday with no success. Used Emla cream before she tried. My arm lit up like a christmas tree wherever the Emla cream had been applied. Sooooooo painful! (tears) RSD really screws up your system. Nurse got the periphial IV line in today. Started rehydrating.

Sandy, lets have our meltdown with a large pot of dark chocolate and some soothing warm hot chocolate to go with it and then tell the docs to "screw it"!

Glad they finally got it in Glori!

Teresa, I'd like Filet Minone (sp?) w/Bernaise Sauce and Alpha Sprouts, a nice salad, a baked sweet potato along with homemade bread. Some warm tea would preferential. A double chocolate cake w/ice cream for dessert.

Filet mignon~ ok! Sounds great! Coming up!

I like wine, could you please get a Pinot noir served in a Pinot glass? Thanks Robert

It is so good. My sister also gets some from a winery up in michigan from Blue Heron winery, to die for. Red or white!

Even just one glass? Didn't Jesus turn water to wine at the wedding?
Getting drunk is when it is wrong. Being a drunkard. Oh here we go again. I'll drop it.:lol2:

My daughter (22) has just given up her 'safe' office job after 3 years and is moving to Magaluf, Spain, with her friend to work in a bar. Magaluf is a 'party' town - where young Brits go on holiday. She has no job of accommodation to go to - but needs excitement in her life.

I actually support her decision - what do you think?

mom's colonoscopy and throat stretch done( hopefully, not with the same instruments)

Haa haa, I said that to my GI when he said he wanted to do the scope down my throat as well (due to gastritis)....told him "Fine, as long as it's a different instrument than you use in my other scope"...

Oh, my sensible, logical mind would scream at my daughter telling me that, lol! She's nearly 19.

I worry about Spain though? Is it safe there? That is so far away from you? I'd go nuts worrying if it was my kid.

Well - about a 2 hour flight. She is pretty tough and with 'attitude' - so a survivor type. I don't want her stuck in a 'small town mentality' - it is a worry - but when are kids not?

She's and adult and the best you can do is pray for her and love her. You don't want to alienate her. You can gently share some concerns or advice. She will make her own mistakes in this life. They won't be the same as yours. Hopefully all will be okay.

I have a son about to turn 22 and he's doing things differently than his father or I would have. I have a close relationship with him and had to tell his dad to watch what he says. Our son is out on his own now and it's up to him what to do with his life. It's up to him to make his own mistakes all by himself. LOL!

Just give her a carton of condoms for safe sex and make sure she's aware if risks. Give her a whistle to blow if she gets stuck down an alley with an ahole!

It just seems so far and nineteen is so young and they are niave, I know I sure was. Got stomped on because of it.

Glori is right, all you can do is raise them the best you know how then love them and support them in a "sensible" manner.

Sometimes that's how we learn, we learn by doing, trying things, making mistakes, taking risks of which some may work out while others don't. As long as we know that not every human we meet is kind, caring and that some are nasty that's a good start, but it may not be enough to stop unfortunate events from happening. As long as you are there for her, love her and try not to judge her she will know that she is safe with you. She knows you trust her, as you are letting her go.

Wise words.

She has two close friends - one is pregnant, her partner is in the army and a serial cheat - the other just wants to settle down and have babies. I think being young is a valuable commodity - go out and do something exciting - I am sure that is the way. Partly because when I was 22 I gave up a secure job spending the next 2 years in Australia - doing menial jobs but having a great time.

I guess you are only young once, but I just can't help worrying about girls especially!

Yep!!!! How's Bee buzzing today?

doing better after my "temporary insanity." Hope I didn't do anything during that time I will regret :)ylol:)

I'm going to go finish my laundry, iron a couple of Doug's shirts (he'll :yfaint:) and get some work done. Maybe call my therapist.:lol2:

True, sometimes we have to learn from the mistakes we make. Although, I was so glad we talked our daughter out of heading to New York after she graduated, to become an actress. She's small town, and we've probably overprotected her somewhat, so it was just anxiety inducing to think of her there. For instance, she didn't even know what I meant when I told her that there is a reason someone coined the phrase "the casting couch"....that is to naive to head off to New York.

Wow! for sure!

K, got my warm, soothing tea w/unprocessed honey, had a mini York Peppermint Patty, spoke w/my doc and hubby, got an appt w/another surgeon for a second opinion and got a hug from my daughter. Feeling better. Will feel much better after some sleep tonight.

Doc said she would have a breakdown too if she were anticipating a nurse coming the next day to rip her arm off.:eek2:

Hubby said I haven't cried enough for all I've been through the last few months. How sweet of him.

Daughter said it's okay to have a meltdown once in a while. We all do it.

Conclusion: I'm well loved.:ghug:
