it's only in the thirties here right now. BRRRRRR! It is getting warmer, though, and last week we made it to the seventies. spring. ya gotta love it.

It is to be 83 here today, then rain brings back cooler temps. Sat high of 50 if it gets to that and it is the day of the baseball/ birthday party for Gregg's 50-th birthday!

fifties for his fiftieth. love that too! I have to go eat, shower, and tidy the house. Ashley's other foster mom is coming over in a bit. still have a little headache too, but nothing like yesterday afternoon got. bye folks! :ghug:
bye, Bear! You are just like Ashley, love all the attention, don't ya? Don't worry, it's part of your charm.

Bye sweetie, TTYL????:ghug:

Its flooding here...alot of schools are not open becaues of all this rain. I have never in my 4t something years heard of school closings do to rain!! and I WIN!!!

We are having some floods too some where. Not where I am. Its been raining the past couple days and its making the snow melt so lots of water flow.

Its about +5C (40F) here. So yeah.. suppose it is spring. It actually felt warm outside just now too. I am just happy the snow is going away and the air feels more clean from all the dust.

I hope it stays that way! I don't like hot weather myself, but 65 is a pleasure. Even 70. But, that's my limit. I guess being Irish and Italian did it to me.

only have two seconds. Glori (for those who know her) got a new port put in about a week ago, and is having difficulties with it, which is not good because of her reflex sympathy disorder (causes her whole system to be on overdrive, like a car revving its engine, brain constantly in fight it flight mode, pain gets to be out of this world). Please pray for her. Her hubby also is sick right now. She also has a cousin with an inoperable brain tumor, and six children from a few months to pre-teen.

Mary, you are THAT far from me, we have had too much rain lately. But it's catching us up on the drought from last summer. Schools all open here. I'd stage a protest if they did that here, lol!

Me too if my kids were still home. The kids here had snow days that there was no snow on the road by 9am. Why not an early start? I never could figure out how they decide these things!

I'm decent, I guess, just tired. Too many days of clouds, and apparently my internal battery is solar powered. But can't complain, really. :)

I am so glad to hear that. Even though we were not directly effected, it is comforting to know that others are thinking about us. I went running this evening, just so I could get some pent up emotion out.

Hi again, people. Jamie, yes, people are praying for those affected, even emotionally, for those in your area. I watched news about it for quit awhile tonight. It is scary.

( Doug was just talking in his sleep.)

Yep. Now that recovery and surgery is over and I can work out again and I want to train for a 5k. It is a personal goal of mine. I used to be an avid runner when I was in high school, but once I graduated I lost interest. So I thought it was time to start again. I hope to be doing a Mud Run over Memorial Weekend. it is not for time, just for fun and to get really muddy!

that sounds like fun Jamie! I used to run in high school years a little myself, but now I'm lucky if I can run to the car in the driveway. :) keep active!

You are one fun chick!!!:lol2:

I think for me, the more active I am, the better I feel and hopefully the longer I can stay in remission, but I don't think I am in remission yet.

you will get there Jamie. just keep taking care of yourself the best you can.
Teresa, maybe we should start walking and compare notes?

I do think that even making some effort is better than nothing. I am setting my alarm to go walking before my doc appointment tomorrow. get results finally, less than twelve hours from now. YAY! I don't know what good it will do, but I do want more definitive info what is going on.

Plz let me know how it goes, ok? The walking too? I'll bee sleeping.:ylol:

I'll let you know. I'm going to say goodnight cause of my headache, and have a couple things to do before bed. take care all! :ghug:

Friday. Weekends feel so much more special when working. Need to start up a bit of cleaning before my man shows up. But there is time.. might take a nap first...

And I win,.

Afternoon Peeps,Just had a lovely visit to Tynemouth Priory along the road. It's really picturesque today. It's an 11th century ruin at the mouth of the River Tyne and it's a lovely Spring day.We are regular visitors as it's local and Alfie is allowed in,and it's very peaceful. We do tend to take it for granted though, having grown up with it.(Not since the 11th century, before you start your wise cracks)........so I'll take the win too,to make my day perfect.

and a fan on too! That helps all noises outside like dogs barking and geese we have here across the street. They are loud!

We have a bit of road noise, but it's not that bad. My urologist is acting fast to find out what's going on eh?

So do I. I had a great day at work yesterday I managed to get all the signatures to approve my project so we can start the tendering process :)

hi Kirsty, lots of rain but no flooding here, i think its worse at the mount, how about you?

It's wet here, fire is going. I'm resting after ***. Taking pain meds and just cruising

doc said my results were "normal," intimated I was just off my rocker and said he didn't want to see me again except "as needed." I guess mini strokes and seizures are not a need.

I hate doctors :voodoo:, and it's just getting worse. I wish they could live with what they dish out to their patients. I even gave him a copy of a MRI report from the hospital showing my brain swelling, saying probably from seizures, in addition to mini stroke and old stroke ( as well as pituitary gland tumor, I'm sure benign, that he wouldn't even discuss with me.)

Chowder sounds good, Kirsty. I had to look up tosspot myself. thanks for your support.

Next time I see a neurologist, they will have to bring me in unconscious. maybe I am crazy now --- from THEM!

Sweet Dreams.....Done for the day so watching Von Ryans Express (Frank Sinatra) I'm not very girlie so I enjoy a good western or war film.I prefer the "new" ones though.Better special effects.
