Does anyone else have issues with this? Would you share what you do to keep the toilet clean and fresh smelling? I mean, I spend a lot of time in there, I would like it to be more pleasant. Plus my dh mentioned there are always little bits stuck to the side ( sticky poop- side effect of no fiber in my diet I am sure). Do you scrub each time? Thanks for sharing!

Ugh, hate cleaning it. I have tried those things you stick in the toilet bowl, the kind of work but degrade fast. Otherwise, yep, I Lysol wipe the underside of the seat.

I'm gonna try the disposable toilet wand. Refills aren't that expensive. That plus the Lysol and wipes should make for a fast clean up. We will see.

We just keep a brush by all of our toilets..takes like 10 seconds, if you do it right away. I also use flushable wipes for the outside.

Lysol wipes are my best friend!!! Use them everytime I go. And yes, a toilet bowl brush everytime that is needed as well. A woman's work is never done ;)

How about scented candles, pleasant lighting, nice pictures/photos to look at...make it into a little shrine you feel comfortable in. If you have a sink, then a bright coloured towel and some soap that you enjoy using. Small things count.
ps I should follow my own advice!
As for the fresh smell, I use the toilet blocks - here they are made by Harpic - that last a lot of flushes. Lavender is my favourite.

With any IBD, the toilet is your best friend. Yes, its super gross, but I have it built into my routine that the toilet gets a quick clean (with toilet brush) and a splash of harpic every time.
And always have some sort of air freshener in the bathroom!

I have found peroxide is a good cleaner. Also if you wax your toilet about every 3 months it does not stick as bad. Before using peroxide rinse and wax every 3 month as using a container of wipes and toilet cleaner weekly
