What is YOUR weather like today??

Nambour where I live is scattered over a series of steep hills and deep valleys. One of the holes on the local golf course has a sign on the Tee 'Coronary Hill'. Still very hot here with high humidity. There is a severe heatwave warning in place for three of the Southern states for a week of temps over 35c. Ron.

a chill breezy 6c........we had a walk down to the riverside and the light wind coming off the North Sea made us wish we had stayed at home...we had a choice of walking back up 100 + steps or a slightly less worrying tarmaced slope,,,, guess which one won the toss up ???

cold and grey 6c.We went down to the weekend market for a wander...I bought a (nother)!!!! book and a sign for Scotts home bar in the shape of a bottle top saying "Free beer tomorrow".I agree with you Tony,we always feel better after a walk, but boy,is it good to be home .Hopefully it will begin to warm up soon and we can sit in the sun and watch the world go by, like Darby and Joan. I saw a quote yesterday which said "we ran up the hill like a herd of turtles " hahaha That's us

-6C breezy with a flurry mixed with sunshine. Its cooler and feels fresh and dry. A good day coming up to go outside and do some chores, the snowmobiles need to be raised up to get the track off of the ground since they cannot be used. But have them ready in case we get a spring snowstorm which are notorious for heavy snowfall. Its dry we could use a good dump. On the east coast they have been clobbered by snow storms, while my nephew is sending me pictures of the ice going out at his lake.

cold 6c and raining...another day indoors......It's light at 6-30am until almost 6-30pm now and Easter in 3wks so the weather should be improving soon....12-15c would be nice......re: Darby and Joan...Les is definately a Darby but I'm more a Joan Of Arc !!!

Sunny -2C calm, a nice day coming up. The clocks went forward, but without me I detest daylight saving time. Our sunrise is 6:30 am and now we lost that hour of daylight in the morning, and don't get me going about late sunsets. Evenings are my favorite part of the day, and the late sunset is an uninvited guest. In my working days I would refer to the first Monday after the spring time change as blue Monday for losing the morning light we patiently waited for after the long winter and often it was very cold.

Still raining and 5c.....Our clocks don't spring forward until the end of the month and Like you Buff,I don't like light evening one bit.
My recliner faces West and the sun streams down the street towards sunset until 10pm in mid summer.I've got blinds to close but there's still a lot going on outside with kids, traffic etc......and bed time here is 9pm,I mean it;s not right going to bed when the sun's still shining and folk are out "having fun" is it ?....hope all goes OK for you Ron.

For that reason I liked shift work Carol, evening shifts were my favorite; sleep in, do yard work or hobbies and then work the evenings. I didn't like going to bed with the sun still out for the day shift and I believe all this fueled my Chrons due to sleep deficit. I was in so much pain this morning, I used it to my advantage as I got up earlier than normal and pushed the clock forward. I will take a long noon time snooze. Yesterday I got a lot done outside. 2C sunny and calm.

not a bad day today , some sun through clouds and 10c , got my walk in again and ready for a siesta , best of luck with the licence Ron , loved the late shifts and night shifts , was in a job once and worked a week of 8pm to 8am for seven days and had the next 7 days off , loved it , hope the pain eases Bufford

had no worries with the license , I still don't need glasses to drive. They have removed the M (medical) restriction on my license. They no longer consider controlled diabetes as a problem for driving. My doctor has not received a report from the cardiologist and is not happy about that and the lack of treatment. He is talking about asking for a second opinion. Warm and humid. heavy rain In WA and with a more active monsoon trough they talking about more cyclones. Ron.

5C A warm day by spring time standards, despite being down to my underware and t shirt it got hot while cutting firewood yesterday in the sun. We are a good 6-8 weeks ahead given the lack of snow, and the ice conditions on the lakes will deteriorate quickly. Its dry enough now for bush fires. Feeling better at the moment compared to yesterday, the time change really messes up my body.

Still a lot of cloud around. I'm not game to go out without a brolly. Off to motor registry to renew my license and pay for it, they won't let you do it online.Ron.
That's crazy that you can't do it online ,but at least it get you out of the house ,we can do most stuff online here , but I lost the cars reg cert and had to get a cop to sign a form ,then send the form along with believe it or not a postal order in the post , to get it replaced,

Warm night here 11C and misty rain

0C Clear dry air with a fresh breeze. The holter monitor goes back to the cardio doc and then I have to wait for the results, cut more wood yesterday. I lost my driver's license when it fell out of my wallet a couple of years ago, and did both a replacement online and filed a police report online. I found it odd that filing the police report is optional, but it offers more protection against a lost or stolen license from being fraudulently used.

Warm windy and humid on the east coast. Most of WA is an inland sea at the moment and there is more rain coming for them. Cyclones are expected to form off the Kimberly coast ,in the gulf of Carpentaria and in the Coral sea due to an extremely active monsoon trough over the top of Australia. Ron.

Dry here and a bit more seasonal -2C Mainly sunny. I put on my flip flops with socks of course and returned the holter monitor, then checked the mail box to find a follow up appt with the surgeon next month. It gives me the feeling of meeting up with the grim reaper, but its surgery that needs to be done.

12C overcast and breezy but still had a nice walk on the beach and just got back to the car and the heavens opened , have to keep the walking up as my BP is going upwards

I am over hot and humid and doctors. Looks like two cyclones will form in the next couple of days. One off the Kimberly coast and on in the Gulf of Carpentaria. The one in the gulf is predicted to drop up to half a meter of rain around Normanton in the gulf country. Good luck Buff. Ron.

OMG !! socks and flip flops....I hate flip flops .I don't even wear sandals in summer now....I do have a vast assortment of lightweight airy trainers in a variety of colours, to match my outfits....

13c and no rain so far. might have to apply some sun block when we go for our walk.

Ron,I really feel for you my friend. How you manage that weather every day I don't know.
I've been busy all morning with all the windows open ,and I'm getting a taste of the coming summer.....NOT HAPPY.
Mind you, I never whinge about the warm weather to folk here...don't want them to think I'm a miserable so and so and spoil my reputation hahaha

Carol, I love my flip flops because I do not have to bend over to deal with laces, they are light on my feet and wallet, but importantly improve my balance as they are the closest thing that comes to being in bare feet. I do everything in flip flops or bare feet including cutting wood. Wearing boots is the opposite, so I only wear them when the snow becomes too much. Back in the day when I learned to drive, I drove bare foot which gave me a feel for the clutch which I could not do with shoes on.
-2C cloudy, with some kind of snow and or rain on the way

The low in the gulf of Carpentaria is expected to form a cyclone today. Between the forming cyclone and a huge high in bass strait we have very strong SE winds along the Qld coast resulting in heavy showers coming ashore. The local fishermen are getting withdrawal symptoms it has been so long since they have been able to get out with strong winds and huge seas. Ron.

Great pic Tony. !! It's a lovely day so far .Warm when out of the breeze and 13c and clear blue sky.The traffic up and down to the river / coast is mad, like the Wacky Races .Expected to be 15c tomorrow but snow is forecast next weekend and it's going to be "frighteningly " hot in April !!! .....of course this is according to the web and might be "fake" news. I hope so on both counts

Thanks for sharing Tony, makes me look forward to going out in the canoe. It was a windy day yesterday followed by some wet snow overnight. Its cooler more seasonal this morning and it will trend cooler over the next few days. 0C with sun cloud mix and a passing flurry.

The gulf cyclone is up to cat3 with winds over 200kph and torrential rain. It is expected to cross the NT coast at Borroloola some time this afternoon and dump up to 400 mm of rain. we have showers here for the next week and 30c temps. Ron

beautiful day here today , 14c sunny with clouds but perfect for a long walk on the beach , forecast for tomorrow is for more heavy rain but 12c , hip is on fire now from the long walk but worth it .

If I walk too far my sciatic nerve starts firing like a machine gun. Unfortunately due to stage two kidney failure there is nothing I can take for nerve pain.. I take a natural anti -inflammatory of turmeric and black pepper. It took ages for it to help but now it seems to help with the arthritic pain. Ron.

Same as Tony's weather at 14c with scattered clouds.Bused down to the sea front (3 short stops but it helps )
Had a nice walk around the boating lake and along the front and bused back (2 stops)......I never imagined we would be so .OLD suddenly, but better than the alternative I suppose. I fell UP some steps and felt such an old fool glad to be home

Got out for a walk along the harbour before the rain , 14c and dry ,heavy rain 🌧 on the way
Better to fall up the steps than down ,I'm always doing that Carol and I'm beyond embarrassment at this stage , as long as my bag stays on ,nothing else matters

as long as my bag stays on ,nothing else matters
So true Tony, living with The Bag is a fine line between tranquility and disaster. The bag is like a nuclear plant, when it works properly one does not give it a second thought, but when there is a containment breach its chaos and a disaster that goes well beyond the fringe area o_O
-12C partly cloudy dry cold.

-12C partly cloudy dry cold.
I have to say apart from a few months last year I have been trouble free with the bag ,and that was sorted with the help of a hollister nurse who was brilliant ,much better than my GI team or GP who are clueless

ex cyclone is drenching the north, fronts passing thru WA and Vic bringing lots of rain as are the constant SE winds in our area. Got a recall notice from my GP . He probably got a report from the cardiologist finally. I have an appointment on the 25th. I don't really care what it says I don't have any faith or trust in the cardiologist so i won't let him do any procedures on me. Ron.

-5C with a couple cms of fresh snow overnight. I have regular stoma maintenance done at the ostomy clinic and learned a few tips from the practitioners there making life much more manageable. Leaks happen, but disasters are fewer but they do happen. The time the dog tore off my bag and ran off with it. It came up to me in a friendly way then sniffed and suddenly - yank! and off he went with it. I said to the neighbor, its your dog and the bag is your property now, do what you like with it. I went home and got into the shower. What is it about a dog's passion for shit and shitty things.

That's the best yet Bufford ,and your "it's your dog and the bag is your property now " priceless,
Nice day here today 14C and overcast with some sun , got 8k done on the beach and I'm wrecked but happy ,
Going in for the 24 hour BP Monitor tomorrow, here's hoping it's come down a bit 🙏

I went in to see the specialist about my carpal tunnel and she thinks it might be something else and ordered up an MRI, nothing can be straight forward and simple. It was cold and windy, and the springtime road conditions are very rough I was glad to get home. Since it was cheap chicken tuesday, I came home with some fried chicken for an easy dinner. -15C sunny. Nice video Tony, Lake Superior is not much different with the mesmerizing slow rolling waves.

Rain has stopped for now and a bit breezy.....I feel warm but I've been doing some spring cleaning for Easter. Over half way through my list now.I always make a list 'cos I get a great deal of satisfaction crossing the "dones" off.....sad eh ?

I had a phone appt wih my GP doc yesterday, it was supposed to be about the results from the heart monitor but the results are not in yet. We talked about the upcoming surgery and I feel more optimistic as my doc had a procedure done by this surgeon and everything went well. The dry colder weather has frozen up all the mud, and with the sunshine its quite pleasant to be outside again. -17C sunny and calm.

Bright and blustery. The suns warm out of the breeze.....we're going for an apt. with Les's GP soon.He hasn't had a face to face with a GP since 2022 only surgery nurse apts for blood tests etc.....whoever this Doc is he doesn't know Les from Adam

I see my GP on Monday morning Carol. I am not expecting anything exciting to come from it and I don't care what is in the cardiac specialists letter I will not have anything further to do with him and I will not be allowing him to do any procedures on me. He has had two opportunities and has done nothing . Heavy rain forecast for all of next week. Ron.

-10C mainly sunny. Elnino is fading as the entire country is in a cool down and even below normal in some areas. Its a sign that we may go Lanina which would mean a cooler wetter pattern coming up in the months ahead. That may help reduce the bush fire anxiety for many communities as snow levels are either below normal or non existent such as around here.

You've got until Monday to have a think about it Ron.Please listen to what he says ,then consider. I understand where you're coming from but any procedure might make a big difference to your general and mental health,,,,,or it might all be for nothing. See what's on offer eh ?

Wild and windy and. sunny Les's apt yesterday was only with the nurse for annual BP and bloods etc.All was OK, but still no face to face with a PROPER DOCTOR !!!

Carol at my last meeting my cardiologist told me on at least six occasions that If I have a pacemaker fitted that I would highly likely get an infection and die. As if i would let that turkey do anything to me. Wet and warm here. Ron.

He should be ashamed of his self and sacked...report the idiot and get a second opinion !!

Ron, that is a doctor that you should fire on the spot, he's not worth anybody's time, maybe report the idiot. I didn't do the oil change yesterday due to an unexpected visit, so I will try again later. Clouds are building up ahead of the calm of our first snowstorm of the winter, warnings are up. So far since fall we received only 25 cms according to the weather office. We could really use the moisture, and I don't mind the minor inconvenience, the generator needs a run anyways.

Raining and miserable .Been for the weekly shop before the Easter pandemonium kicks in.When you get to our age you can hide your own Easter Egg.....then forget where you hid it after five minutes,,,which is not a bad thing really.
Ron ,I hope you get sorted at your appointment.

-5C Snowing, they are calling for between 30 and 50 cms before this slow moving system moves on. I won't be going anywhere in these conditions and will probably have to cancel the appt with the tax preparer. I changed the oil in the truck yesterday, glad I did as conditions were dry, this snow will be with us for awhile.

Overcast with some heavy showers. 22c today which is about 8c lower than it has been. I woke up feeling awful , I think I got a bit cold overnight. I had my quad flu shot yesterday , that often makes me feel a bit dusty for 24 hrs. Nothing from the doctors appointment apart from the cardio confirming his intention to do nothing. Ron.

-10C heavy snowfall. I'm effectively snowed in, over 30Cms so far and counting. Its tricky going out to the outhouse without snow going down into the boots its so deep. I have to cancel the appt with the tax preparer, and stretch some grocery items for a couple more days. It will take awhile to dig out. We needed this snow badly for lack of snow we had all winter, so no complaints, and there is nothing quite like a snowstorm once in awhile.

We got the 50 cms of snow they were predicting and now the clean up can begin. I'll need to run the snowmobile to pack down the walkway, and dig out the truck with a shovel. The deck is done, I like to do a few minutes of shoveling between tv shows late at night, so it did not even feel like work, rather a breath of fresh air. This snow will go a long ways to put moisture back into the ground and lakes. -10C with a flurry.

Don't tell me about back ache.....mine started 2010,4yrs after crohns dx,and has gotten gradually worse. It's a daily issue, standing too long ,walking more than a mile or two etc...BUT although limited I will NOT let it stop me doing what I have to.....beginning of the end then. I know yours is different Tony, probably due to using muscles that have been dormant during winter,so do what your body's telling you,and rest,,,,,,Feel better soon......13c here and a pleasant day with no wind or damp, which is nice.We had a nice stroll along the river and a couple of "sits"....Les is walking very slow now,but it's not a problem. We don't need to hurry nowadays.....

Fortunately my back held up to deal with the snow. I packed the walkways with the snowmobile which elliminates 90% of the work. Why bother moving snow when it can be simply packed down to walk on, it melts every spring anyways. Yesterday the stores were heaving with people stocking up after the storm and before the easter long weekend. Went for a fuel run, the lineup was over a kilometer long as people are rushing to get ahead of the federal governments carbon tax increase. Given the elevated prices we have now already fuel prices are set to go through the roof this summer. The federal government thinks we are all made of money yet have absolutely no real climate plans at all.

13c and a nice calm sunny day after a chilly night.....We had a nice walk and bums are on seats for the rest of the day.
We have local elections in early May and we have decided to abstain....we have voted since since we were 18 and no faith in any of the electorates. They will start making a nuisance of thenselves Knocking on doors and stopping folk in the street and promising to do this and that while lying through their back teeth....so they can get lost from now on.
Our clocks go forward tonight...

0C a few flakes. Losing that hour of morning daylight is a bummer Carol, and I don't like the later sunsets either. Politicians in my opinion are just an extension of organized crime, they do the same thing, take our money or else...
I had a better night, but still don't get the rest I need. I'll bake a chicken breast later for supper, but first I must wade through the day. At least my bowels are working.

Not been getting any notifications for the past few days. Thought I had better check. Nothing much happening here except for easter holiday makers getting in my space. I suppose it is better to sit at home than getting into trouble for decking random strangers. still raining every day. Ron.

Ron,it'll do you the world of good to deck somebody, but make sure you can run faster than they can....it's the same here this weekend.Too many people, too many cars running back and forth looking for a parking space. But it's the price we pay for living near the coast....we had a slow walk 'round the park and sat listening to the birds for a while.12 c and a nice day
