What is YOUR weather like today??

You are not wrong . We had 8c to 18c today. Nice temps. Seems we can't do much about the weather or terrorists , the first because we can't and the second because they are beyond our understanding. Hugs to all. Ron.

We finally had a break from the constantly cold wet weather we have endured throughout May. For awhile in April it was very dry. Now we are soaking, and the biting black-flies are thick and very friendly, and mosquitoes are only a couple of weeks away from hatching. Gone 4 days now without putting a fire on for heat. It appears to be another cold wet summer unless there is a pattern change.

I love the outdoors and wildlife, but I don't envy you the friendly little biters one bit.

I'd rather have a bear hug. hahaha

Interesting the mention of bears as these are a huge problem in the area. Last year I was stalked again by a black bear in my backyard. I was out on the deck at night and I knew that it was around or it would have dragged me off the deck if I had not seen him coming across the lawn.
The biting flies are thick, one also has to watch for ticks, wild fires and the bears. For that reason I prefer fall and winter when I spend much more time outside, and inside I have my wood furnace runnning. I'm counting; there's only 11 days to go until the summer solstice and then the days go towards the right direction again.

We don't have any bears or large carnivorous animals in Australia. Nearest thing is Koalas and the only danger from them is if they lose their grip whilst asleep up a gum tree and fall on you ( drop bears :rof:) we have enough snakes spiders and ticks to make up for them..
An east coast low formed off the NSW coast this week and is delivering flood rains to most of the north coast . We may get a little overlap but nothing like last year when we got three winter lows that dumped a heap of rain on us. Ron.

13c and raining again....surely the farmers have enough by now.:sign0085:

On the plus side,I'm very happy I'm not camping (especially in Canada and Australia )....:dusty:

Flooding in the northern rivers of NSW again. It has moved over the border and the gold coast got dumped on today. They think that another east coast low may form just off the sunshine coast where I live by Tuesday . We could do with a bit of rain but it always turns miserable when we get heavy winter rain. At least the tanks around the area may fill. Ron.

Yesterday we had a brief slice of summer weather, it started cool and wet, but for 6 hours in the afternoon the sun came out, winds picked up and some very warm humid weather moved in, only to be kicked out by the cold front overnight, now its cool and gray.
The day before was cool and damp and I had to put on the wood furnace in the evening to take the chill off. I tried to tough it out, but found myself freezing, so I lit a small fire only to keep on adding more wood. Odd, going back to the 1990's it was regular summer weather with the airconditioners humming non stop. I do not believe the global warming thing one tiny bit.

Hot and Humid! It's been in the upper 80's low 90's here the last few days. They say storms are coming this week. We could use a good rain, the grass is turning brown!

Every things lush and green here owing to lots of rain. There are some leaves falling already due to lots of wind.Forecast is for warmer weather by mid week,so I'll be whiging about that too.hahaha

The east coast low formed off shore overnight so now we just have to see which way it moves. South and it will worsen the northern NSW floods, north and we get wet feet. If it heads east we will get a nice soaking but no worse. East sounds good, Ron.

All summer I wished for winter now I want summer back. Every joint in my legs , hips back and shoulders are killing me and worst of all are the cramps. The only thing that helps them is wearing trackie daks and drinking Indian tonic. We have had a fair bit of rain since the low formed tho not flooding rain , probably a couple of inches. It has greened the place up a bit. Ron.

Allegedly the temp.here in NE England was 25c yesterday. But our thermometer read well into the 30s.I stayed inside and tried not to move about much.
Today is going to be higher and there is no breeze as there was yesterday.

I'll repeat my earlier post.....Summer is a nice idea in theory, but unbearable in reality...
I'm lucky that I can have all the windows open 24/7.

We are having a mild winter, daytime temps 21-25c and night time 11-15c. We have been having a couple of showers of rain on most days. The low that formed just off the coast has moved out to sea and is now giving us high winds and big seas. Life goes on Ron.

Far too hot here for a "whinging pom." Managed to get out on the bikes early this morning, but I've been indoors all weekend trying not to move about too much.My hair is dripping and the little bit of brain I have left is frazzled.

Thought For The Day....Horses sweat, men perspire and ladies glow, and I'm doing all three.

I know that feeling, Scottsma. Bloody hot here, the winter bedding went away today and summer bedding is now on. Can't get much sleep though with this heat. Feeling a little of what Ron50 experiences, though in reality it's a lot hotter than what we have here.

Am loving hedgehog activities at night, but the days are getting longer and I have to wait a lot longer to see them. I suppose they hate these short nights as there's less time to forage. Not that they have to, I provide all they need at the feed stations, lol.

11c to 21c today and the same predicted all week, thinking off you all in England and hoping you are dealing as well as you can with all of the disastrous happenings occurring there of late, Very sad for the bushfires on the continent. Ron.

Its been a continuation of the cold and wet conditions. The lady doing the weather forecast on the evening news summed up the month by calling it Junuary given how unusually cold and wet this month has been. I have been putting on the fire every evening.

Not quite as hot as yesterday but I'm blistered and itching from the heat, not the sun though. Am going to enjoy watching hedgehogs on tv tonight.

Apparently going to be sweltering tomorrow.

Hi all im afraid iv been awol for quite sometime ..partly because iv not had updates and also i forgot about here... i know i know.. im terrible but i have been very busy. Well thats my excuse n im sticking to it 😃

Hope all are well.
Love n best wishes to you all.
Now for the weather... bloody hot !!🌞 enough said..

Tremendous storm here at 6am until 7-30am. Not seen the likes for a long time.
It's warm and drying out now,but more forecast later.

Today the sky is brilliant blue in stark contrast to the constant gray wet conditions. Its to be short lived so I am going to spend most of my day outside. The wild daisies on my lawn are almost ready to bloom and should put on a good display.

Well never got the thunder storm that was predicted..had a brief spot of heavy rain. Not cleared the air at all...was hope for a better nights kip tonight...

Forgot to mention yesterday's Summer Solstice. The longest day and a Druid ceremony at Stonehenge.Today daylight will be 15 (?) seconds shorter than yesterday and will continue to shorten until December.Ah,remember Christmas ? Well you soon will, because it will be sneaking into the shops in a matter of weeks.hahaha.
Can't wait for the days of wooly sweaters, sensible footwear, dark nights and cosy lamplight. Bring it on !!!!

Well I'm sorry ,yesterday was the shortest day and today was 15 seconds longer. How weird is it to actually think about what it means to live at opposite ends of the world. We complain about some of the conditions we face during a twelve weather cycle but when it really comes down to it how many of us would really like to live in a completely strange climatic area? Ron. PS We didn't import any druids and we only have one dirty big rock stuck in the middle of the island.

Gray skies with showers, last night the temperature was down to 7C and today its only 11C. Everything is soaking wet, the fire service has had a very easy summer so far. Normally we get temperatures ranging from the mid 20's up to the low 30's. Will have to put on the fire again later, normally the window airconditioner hums at this time of year.

I started too then it came back some kind of bronchial infection going on still so tired of this. I know they said I have a weakened immune system, I just didn't realise playing with my grand daughters in the park would get me so sick.

Sorry, Jane. I hope you are better soon.

It was 26c today 4c above average. I don't mind it being warmer but I hate it when you get up in the morning and dress for 21-2c, Sometimes shedding clothes is not appropriate. Ron.

38C today forecast for 39C for tomorrow and 40-42C for Friday and the weekend.

Extreme weather conditions warning on the media. Heatwave on our doorstep.

Yes I live in Greece we are more or less used to it.

:)

I could NEVER get used to that heat !!! Stay safe.

12c so far today and dismal.Looks likely to be unsettled for the rest of the week.
It's a pleasant change to last weeks warm weather, but I'm sorry for those on holiday in this part of the UK.

Well almost, the clouds marched in and showers returned after supper, that was okay as I am done with the day. At that point I look forward to the evening, nesting up in the chair watching TV with a big warm orange striped cat on my lap. That was after a nice day, I could open the windows, cut the grass and bring in some badly needed dry firewood.
Today its 14 and pouring rain.

Our winter temps are consistently 3-4c above average. I ve got the feeling it will be another short winter and yet another long hot summer. Ron.

It's been VERY wet since Monday.and the arthritis in my hands is playing up.But it's going to be better at the weekend, but not the high temps.we had last week.Thankfully.

Two days of steady rain; damp and cold, and I have a serious case of cabin fever. I bought a dehumidifier with my Airmiles points last fall when they threatened to cancel older air-mile points. Its been a great purchase, I have osteoarthritis and by controlling the humidity I am feeling good despite the damp weather. However, I am looking forward to fall, and then getting back to snow season and my cross country skis, I've had my fill of biting flies and rains.

Yep,like I keep saying, summer's a nice idea in theory but unbearable in reality.I feel far healthier in the spring/autumn,but when folk say "Isn't this hot weather lovely"? I have to agree because they'll think I'm a misery guts,an we don't really get THAT many heat waves. Not like poor Ron in Australia, bless him.

First round of heatwave is over (that means we are back to an average 30-34 C)
On a bright side we enjoyed the awesome Greek beaches all weekend (yay)

Today is windy but its ok as long as we dont melt any more.

Hahaha,I feel such a wimp moaning about our "heat wave".But I suppose it's just what you're used to.I mean is folk couldn't live in countries with extreme weather then all the other places would be a tad over crowded eh.?
16c and breezy today....perfect !!!

Mid winter and 26 c forecast for tomorrow. We are in the second week of school holidays and the biggest problems for mums has been the kids getting sunburned . Go figure. Ron.

26c again tomorrow and Thursday. Winds blowing from the north west right out of central Australia. A trough coming thru tomorrow they said it may bring showers. If it were summer it would bring storms..I am half expecting a storm tomorrow.. Ron.

Today is day 3 without having to run the wood furnace, its trying to reach 20C and the sunshine is very appreciated to help dry things out. Glad I didn't plant my garden, my neighbors tomato plants are only 4 inches high.

After more than 24hrs of non-stop rain it's finally.........turned into heavy drizzle.
We had planned a full day of cycling, but there will be other days.

Well we had 27c today and yes we got a thunderstorm .....in the middle of winter....strange times indeed. Ron.

The house never warmed up, I gave in and lit a small fire last evening to take the edge off. Last night we had a thunder storm, its much warmer today. I'll take it, the weather forecast says it will last for one day. Looking ahead the forecast is looking more seasonable.

14C cloudy with showers on the way. It was cold enough this morning that I had to light the fire in the wood furnace. We had our first taste of summer on Thursday where I had to use the window airconditioner for the first time, albeit only for one day before the lousy weather returned. I have doubts that I will need to use the air conditioner much, its another wet cold summer. I look forward to fall and being able to go outside without being eaten alive by biting flies.

The reports I saw said BC was in a bad way. Hope you get some steady rain soon and not storms that start more fires than they stop. hope you and your neighbours remain safe. Ron.

New extreme weather conditions forecast today 40C For Wednesday and Thursday. The heatwave starts tomorrow night. Lovely isnt it?

40 c gets very unpleasant. We have had to get used to it the last few years in Australia as we have mostly been under the influence of El Nino. Our summer temps were around three degrees above average with nearly two months of consistent high thirties. sometimes when my illness flares I have to go on 1 litre a day fluid restrictions and double diuretics. It doesn't help that I have congestive heart failure and nephrotic syndrome of the kidneys. If they hit a flare at the same time in summer I either nearly drown in my Oedeema or peg out with kidney failure.I really don't like the heat. Hugs ron.

My sister has a farm in south central Ontario and they cannot bring in the hay off their fields due to water standing from all the rain. If things don't improve they will have to bring in costly hay from elsewhere and sell off part of the herd of cattle they raise.
Its a land of extremes.
