So, I'm a working mom and i sit all day at work on the phone and computer.

It's high stress (financial services) and I will sometimes work 12 plus hour days. I get up and walk when I can but right now I have a fistula and SITTING FREAKING HURTS.

Anyone else come to a solution for this? Been wondering if I should bring a yoga ball to work and sit on it....

The one reason why I quit World of Warcraft was cause I couldn't bare to sit anymore. I know what you mean lol. To make it better though i leaned forward a lot to relieve whatever was bothering me.

Not sure if this is helpful given your work, but have you tried Dragon Naturally Speaking (or MacSpeech Dictate if you have a Mac)? They are programs that you speak into and it types things up for you.

My only other suggestion would be if you can afford to buy a desk that moves up and down so that you can raise your desk and stand for a while to take the pressure off sitting. Granted, it doesn't help if it's hard for you to stand...

You could also try a different chair - one of those that you kneel on....like this.....might take the pressure off?

that chair is WACK! i'm gonna go try one.
no, I can't dictate, I process in databases with my face in two monitors all day. I think i can request a bar height desk and a tall chair so that I can both sit and stand. i've heard hemmie pillows (donut like) do bad things w/ circulation...plus they dont feel much better to me
hmmm......

No wondering. You can take a yoga ball and take exercise. sometimes you can play games or listen to music to relax.

Or chemicals! Tried Tetracaine yet? Better and longer lasting than just lidocaine. Also Bupivacaine! Allows you time to focus without so much pain...
