Had the small tumour in bladder removed today.
That part was smooth---being unconscious--
Recovery was a nightmare--------pain in all the crohn's areas was so severe I did not think I would survive. No pain where the surgery had been done!
I.was given a double dose of IV morphine, went into shock and then had a vasovagal attack..Finally things calmed down but they kept me in recovery for several hours till the Loaded with oxygen through a face mask and it was a fast flow--not comfortable but I was drifting in and out..
Finally I was back on the daycare ward feeling better and after a while allowed home.
Won't get the results for three weeks though.
Still bleeding a little and the backache has returned. Can't sleep yet.
Now that I have written this perhaps I will go to bed.
Winning-----------

Yikes is fight, gee Trysha rest up and take care, wishing you a speedy recovery

Quite long enough BIRTHDAY GIRL !!!!!Hope you're doing something nice with hubby today.

No, my sister I dogsat for is taking myself and my sister Sheree out for a birthday lunch. Sheree's birthday was the 13th of July. We do this every yr. and so enjoy it. We 3 get along great. Won't say anything about my other sister, because that wouldn't be nice!:):voodoo: :ylol2:

Hubs is taking me out on the weekend. He is too tired when he gets home. He is installing alot of office furniture today,(Built ins) and then deliveries all over the place. He is worthless when he gets home and I don't blame him one bit.
I will however expect a gorgeous card.

Honestly, would it hurt to make an effort for once, the pair of you ???? You're letting the UK side down as usual.

Hello Everybody
Thank you all for your kind thoughts.
Much better today but a little weary---sore throat from the intubation and achy crohn's wise.
The surgeon prescribed tylenol3 but I am afraid it might be too powerful and floor me.
So far I have only read the label.Don't think I could take another reaction and I have never gone beyond regular strength tylenol.
I also have a feeling The GI would not approve. He never gives anything for pain---you have to work it through---quite hard sometimes.
For now----I am winning.........never give up and never give in---

Winning before I do Hubs stir fry veg & prawns with noodles and bean sprouts.Houmus & veggie sticks for me,too warm to eat.Custard tarts for afters.Actually,I feel quite peckish now !!!

Hi Teresa
Happy Birthday----sorry I missed it.

to Teresa (a day late and a dollar short)

I win because I chose to subject myself to my family every year at reunion time (and vice versa), and survive it.

( Teresa, your birthday cake was supposed to be singing)

That is interesting because for most of my life I always kept things for 'that special moment' - but never used things. I would store special drinks for years - waiting for the moment that never came (even Christmas) - I would buy really good clothes - but never wear them. Expensive watches / pens stayed in the draw. Quality stationery - never used and so on. I realised it was because of a really poor childhood and the need to store things for a 'rainy day'. Fortunately I am over that and I am one of life's 'spenders and enjoyers' now - but that might just be an age thing!!

We are exactly the same.If I buy Les something he wants to "keep it for best"and we are both guilty of hoarding stuff. The attic will very soon be in the lounge if I don't sort it soon (for charity) But I must admit I'm a good spender. But I do count to 10 first,to see if I really need it.Sometimes works too......:ylol2:

And yet, I still have no laptop, no card, no proper greeting....Some friends, I tell ya!:voodoo:

I watched a program last night - including a test on the benefits of blueberries.

A group of around 30 or 40 18 year old students sat a test in the morning - general knowledge, perception and so on. At the end of the test they were randomly split into two groups - one was given a large banana smoothie for lunch - the other a large blueberry smoothie. Four hours later they sat a similar test.

The group of 'banana smoothies' had no improvement in performance in the test. The blueberry smoothies had an 11.5% improvement in performance.

The test was organised by a professor studying the effects of eating blueberries!!

It's not an age thing. I'm alot younger than you Robert and I no longer keep for a rainy day. Life is too short, make the most of now

G'morning Mary, Kirsty, Carol, Teresa, Robert and all. I was posting last night and must have fallen asleep in the middle of my post, I don't remember finishing and it is gone. I was trying to say I'm sorry so many of you have had such troubles while we were gone. We would have had a good trip if I had found my brand new lost bottle of antidepressants before we left. Sorry Doug. I hope Wellington has quit having the shakes, and that the tummy feels better Kirsty. And GJ. And Trysha. And everyone. I'm glad I ate those blueberry pancakes while camping. Nice to see you around Trev (because you're not a square ).

hi guys talking about hoarding, i have so much stuff i had to decide yesterday if i need another storage shed or sell some machinery that i have in case i might need it one day, i advertised some on line yesterday and its already sold. to late to change my mind, so give me a long win..

It lasted a little while Trev. I've been thinking about your signature and decided that in Doug's case, not only is the mother-in-law surprised but if she had to choose between me and Doug she would chose Doug.

My turn for a win, thanks :)

I've done my ***, so now just post *** stuff. Everything else is sorting itself out slowly, so I should ok not to go to ED again, yay!

Hi all! Kirsty, glad you are ok! Trev, welcome back and way to go seeling all that already. We need to go thru our stuff and do that. How I wish I could muster the energy! Bee, hope that cake came out good and Doug had a great birthday after all. Hope he feels well now!

Oh, nooooo!! Cake sank, never made this recipe before. Oh, well. Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. Yummy!

Bee, that is my favorite!!! My cakes sink when I don't bake them long enough.
Did Doug like it anyway I hope? How is he feeling now?:heart:Hopefully better!:)

Oh oh.I'm up the creek again.I was getting a picture of a stranger when I open my forum emails.(still getting the "this sender is unsafe" warning).when I clicked "sender safe,or whatever" this little face called Efrat Pivar appeared.I am a technophobe, but I do attempt to sort things.Anyway I now no longer get email notification from the forum.I have to go to my subscribed threads or scroll through all the previous days blogs. Can anyone please help.PLAIN FOOLPROOF INSTRUCTIONS would be appreciated.

Just go on MY FORUM and it will have all your subscribed threads. You can unsubscribe to any you don't want on anymore. That is what I do. When Main Forum Page comes up, click on MY FORUM. You have to do this every time you switch threads. I have been doing it that way for awhile since i no longer get emails from the forum.
