Not sure I wan tto. I will just be jelous. lol. I would love to be and see New Zeland and areas and islands around there. A collegue at work had just been to the Seychelles and thats why I now want to go there. Looked like such a beautiful place. Its just that it takes over 24 hours to get to any of these awesome islands and that amount of traveling is really hard for me.

Enjoy your trip. And do post pictures. I want to see ofc!!! :D
 
Leave Wellington for a day and it all goes to pot, a 5.7 earthquake not too far from here and we drive through seddon yesterday. We did not feel it at kaikoura
 
Mom made my birthday dinner as I wont see her Tuesday. Homemade spaghetti:) and meatballs and sauce and garlic toast and choc. cake with homemade frosting! Gained a pound I bet! I win!:)
 
Kirsty and Trev!!! Rocked by dozens of earthquakes in the past 24 hours. Are you guys alright? Any damages where you live? Prayers for you both!:hug:
 
Yum hubs had that for dinner for last two nights. Blue cod wrapped in bacon served in saffron rice

I don't know, but I thought I would sneak in for a win. We are just about to head out for the annual Petersen (some of my my siblings, nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and nephews) family reunion/camping trip. After scoping out the place three weeks ago, Doug and I have been back for day fishing three weekends in a row. pretty little lake stocked with rainbow trout. Not very big, but very tasty, and I usually don't care for trout much. I also managed to get bbq ribs cooked in advance, potato salad made, enough for twenty, for one dinner I'm in charge of. Also have chicken meat ready for chicken tacos another night. I also did some repairs on our trailer. I've been a busy beaver, so I win. and egg salad sandwiches aren't far from done. I'm getting hungry.

:dance::dance::dance: Yes,thankyou,it was wonderful.Rather "warm",but everything else made up for it.I've done the laundry and the shopping,so ready again when we feel like it......I hope everyone elses week was as good.

Earthquake hit again 6.5 at 5 pm it was 17km deep. Ma and pa were under kitchen table watching the cork tiles roll up and down. We felt it in hamner as well. It's all a bit scary for the Wellington lot even though they are used to them

Honestly Kirsty,I don't know how you can live with the worry !!!!! Glad you and your family are safe.....You can have the win pet,just for a little bit mind.:eek2::eek2::eek2:
 
We are very fortunate that only 4 people were injured. Buildings have been damaged you can see it on www.stuff.co.nz people won't be going in to work today which I think is a good plan

How very worrying for you Aura--reminds me of growing up in the Blitz and a lot of our childhood under the kitchen table or in dank dark air raid shelters.
I know the quakes are a bit different to that and the awful feeling of what do we do and where can we go must be quite a trial..
Hopefully things will settle down soon.

Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts and prayers. I think we are lucky that the centre was out to sea not directly under the city. If that was the case I think it would be flattened. The force was equivalent of 100 nuclear bombs. Here's hoping we just get aftershocks and not another big one

Sorry Robert the summer haircut and Gills vs Palace (not sure what that is) wont save you for the win.
