Hey GJ I'm not sure where everyone has gone. All I know is its a crazy time of year for stress and pressure.

I'm here to take the win from all of you, while I pack my bags for Niagara. I'm bringing my doggy. She needs me and I need her. We now know she has epilepsy too. sigh. She has learned to (when she feels like it) alert me to my seizures, but I haven't figured out to alert her to hers yet.
I hope all the Brits, Canadians, New Zealanders and others had a good thanksgiving day, even if it is an American holiday. And I hope black Friday didn't spill too far out of the states. Kirsty, was that really your first pumpkin pie?

the falls sounds good to me. I misspoke, I meant Niagra Falls. Driving thru the snow right note to get there in time for party. :)
( actually on the way to a Utes basketball game. Since the football season ended without an invite to a bowl game, I think Doug was going thru sports withdrawal. And besides, no kids! almost the year anniversary for empty nest syndrome. but loving it, we see one or the other almost every weekend, but get to send them home.
 
Réal Salt Lake almost just won the the MLS cup, but WAH! lost.
the University of Utah basketball team just won 92 -76. Yay!
 
Ice wine for everyone at the Christmas get together at Niagara...and home made Christmas cake.......
now for the win------------
 
well its great to be home, got the bike out of the shed and road legal, and now its raining, at least im winning on here.

if I know Doug, he will bring some of the Utes football highlights on film from the past thirty years. with that thought, I'm off to go to the dentist to have a tooth fixed that the filling fell out of last week. I think I'm done with all my bad luck for the next twenty years tho. it's going to be a good Christmas this year.

well----presents and Christmas cake and lemonade
only two weeks and a bit to go

Preparations are going well, lots of pretty lights on the Christmas tree and in the windows, some snow on the ground and more expected.Temperature
currently 2C and quite windy, warm for this time of year.

looking forward to seeing you all
 
we were bad, got a nice gift basket from dear neighbor friend filled with fruit and chocolate bars, we went straight for the chocolate, fruit is all still there, chocolate completely gone. have a great day, I'm off to see the wizard ( of teeth) hugs to all!

humira jab day, so I win! and the pharmacy can't fill my Aza because of the ice storm grrrr.. but I still win anyway :)
 
And fur (faux of course) rugs.And hot toddies.And sleigh rides.Huskies will be ok if Rudolphs not available,and a snowman/snow castle competition...............ooooooooh,I,m getting really excited (and that's not something you'll hear me say very often) hahaha

There will be warmth from burning logfires.
Spectacular events like ice carvings , sometimes the ice winery will arrange this together with ice wine samples---etc.
Sleigh rides with Santa etc.

Ice. Carvings would b awesome. Looks like i won't be sleeping much tonight. Got a cold, sore throat and now got a lump sticking outside on my neck, which I am assuming is a swollen gland.

The party is for Christmas Day and the venue is Niagara Falls
There will be sleigh rides, log cabins with cheery log fores, plenty to keep warm.
Tours to the wineries for Ice Wine and Christmas cake etc.

Well, the gang's almost all here. We went to The Oratorio Society of Utah's production of Handel's "Messiah" tonight with a local orchestra. Pretty nice night. Definitely winning. I can't wait to see the ice carving.

Sandy, I'm jelous you got to see a producton of "Messiah". What is the ice carving. Sounds like something awesome!

Blocks of ice are sculpted into outstanding figures and objects---things like cars, polar bears etc.
It is an annual show in some of the major cities like Ottawa and Toronto and of course Niagara.
They are magnificent to behold and the artists amazing in their abilities.
