We've just come in from walking Alf and doin' a bit shoppin',and having fish & chips at the coast.Blustery & showery now,so that's my bum on seat for the rest of the day.

I've been asleep just woke up so thought I'd stoke the fire. He's had a ct scan just waiting on results which he should get on 14/8. Then we get next steps :)

I'm back in bed carol. Just playing solitaire till I get sleepy again. I had doc appointments, doing diabetic journal for a month due to my hypos. Need to see my gastro to get date for balloon dilation.

Morning all, I hope that everyone is doing well and has plans for a wonderful weekend - my turn for the win for a few seconds anyway
 
On the basis it takes light from the Sun 8 minutes to reach us, anyone 65 million Light Years away looking at the earth (with a powerful telescope) would be able to see dinasaurs.

Currently on 60mg of Pred...waiting for the plumber cuz I woke up to the main drain in the basement of my house being plugged, water all over the floor after my shower. Life certainly has it's twisted sense of humor for a Crohn's patient. Happy Friday! :ybatty::ymad:
 
Shanen, take care. What an annoyance for you. Re the drain issue. How long you been on 60 mg pred?

Restarted a week ago. Tapering last time was no fun. MRI next week so we'll see what's up now.
 
My last time wasn't much fun either. At least you can be on here if you can sleep at night. Also we can get you through the jitters if you get them too. Pred sucks, but at times we have to have it.

60mg! there wouldn't be anyone left at all - holy crp! I'm miserable as it is - my normal sarcastic cheery self just went whew suck it up buttercup and quit whining I am now bowing on the alter of your patience :eek2:
 
Lack of sleep is always an issue. Jitters are not too bad yet but if I have to be up most of the night I wish the energy burst was happening so I could at least accomplish something. Today I suspect a bit of blockage so it's pretty uncomfortable but should pass sooner or later. Days not over yet, sure hope nothing else in store.
 
Having had enough steroids in my life, I empathize, esp with the being up at night but not being able to accomplish anything. Hopefully this will help with what it is meant to accomplish:ghug:

Trying to keep it under control but the stupid phone calls at work...sheesh...I have taken to responding by email as much as possible as I can rethink it before it's too late. Not so much fun but probably more rational.

Fortunately I've deleted some of the rather...shall we say..."sarcastic" comments before I actually post them here. :rof::rof::rof:

On a plus note...got ahold of a plumber and he can make it today (YAY!!) and I'm headed home from work shortly to meet him. Hope he's cute. :wink:

I'm winning today for sure no matter what any of you say! My best high school friend was found unconscious after the third day of not reporting to work, (had a brain aneurysm), not expected to wake up let alone live, but woke up yesterday and said a few words. Kind of put my complaints in perspective. I win I win I win I win.
 
I didn't mean to scare you all off, but I'm still winning. Going for awhile so now you can all win, until I win in the end.
 
what happened to Sunday is a day of rest? I have so much work to do, at least I can multi task, work and win at the same time.

It's a wet afternoon here,but we had a drive out this morning and had the best of the weather. I'm taking a well deserved win before I read the Sunday papers.

Bout the same as you - see the allergist on Wednesday and then methotrexate and try humira again so maybe no more pred for me YAY!
 
The joys of Humira (and my natural grace) make my legs look like I've been in a fight. Yet another explanation people feel they are entitled to. Not had methotrexate yet.
 
Not sure I want to but it is the only way I will be able to take the Humira as Remicade caused serum sickness that is definitely out for me and my C is out of control so....the methotrexate has some scary side effects but the only one I could focus on was that I was going to lose my hair - My boss said that my wig just became a business expense and that I wasn't to worry so that made me feel a little better - not much but a little - she is a gem!

You could ask them if they wanted to go for a walk in the woods.....:rof:
 
My insurance thought they knew better so they denied Remicade.

Oh yeah...a walk in the woods...good day for it. Might be their last. People must have gotten the point this morning as I've been left alone most of the day and no one is making eye contact with me, just in case. :kissgrits:

I'm sorry about the remicade - it worked really well other than the serum sickness thing....:eek2:

I just say that to the staff now and they either giggle and run or run depending on my mood...:ymad:

And my boss is awesome - genuinely a great person - don't know how I would have made it through this without her:hug:

I can e-mail you a copy of my picture and you can put it up on your desk - that is what I did - people got the hint pretty quickly
 
I may have to try that...just as fair warning to them. Usually the look on my face can tell them it's not a good time. I'm getting a lot done today with all the peace and quiet.

Get there grumps :). I'm good. Had busy day at work. Now by the fire while hubby cooks tea :) I'm So lucky he cooks every night. I keep bourbon for the weekend :) safer that way.
 
It made more sense when I watched the omelet video. Why is it when they tell you not to eat or drink after midnight you wake up hungry for once and thirstier than ever??
