No, chocolate cookies, apricot and chocolate cookies. Peanut cookies, shortbread, white chocolate and cranberry cookies, afghan cookies.

OH MY GOODNESS KIRSTY !!! How can you be soooooo cruel ???

I'm drooling like a Bloodhound and don't dare shake my head.

Don't get me started on baking. It's all that's on television and in magazines these days. It's all a waste of time - just go to the supermarket and buy a Battenberg cake or a pack of ginger nuts (the king of biscuits) - it's all you need!!

Nothing wrong with slightly stale bread - perfect for toast - better than all that fluffy, soft white bread.

Maybe, but not people capable of intelligent conversation it would seem.

Work is for intelligent conversation, here you can express your frustrations with the "real world".

Put me on the list for cookies too Kirsty as I like to bake but never find the time. I'm with Robert on using the supermarket bakery. (Although I happen to like the squishy white bread.) :)

I agree (somewhat) but don't pretend you'd refuse a parcel of K & S's home made cookies.

I don't eat much bread and when I do it's toasted.:thumleft:

I have to admire your (misguided) optimism.

But my admiration won't stop ME being victorious. Your "stewed" duck, get used to it.

Just for a little while, ducky, just for a little while. I never made the cookies yet, I slept all day. I've been awake for about two hours now, longest I've been awake all day. Just in time to go to bed. :(
But I think I'll sleep all night still and make cookies tomorrow. I'll send all of you some tomorrow, and not the supermarket variety.

Good Morning to you too , I bet you've almost forgotten about your vacation by now eh ?

I hope you are feeling well, and you too Shanen......And Sandy and Kirsty and Trysha and Ducky and Robba and Dave and Trev and Doug.
I do wish I hadn't started this and if I've missed anyone,it's not because I don't care I promise. ...........Winning

Nope, haven't forgotten yet. Dream of it everyday. How's things with you? Winning

I have a feeling that this thread is heading for extinction,

It's been really nice knowing most of you, and I will take the win while I can.

Extinction as in Dinosaurs? No say it isn't so....nice knowing you too! But just because the thread ends doesn't mean we can't torture each other in some other meaningless way does it? :lol2: Winning

Don't be defeatist folks, you have kept on with this for sooo long!!!
You certainly have staying power...

Almost 16 hours !!!

I would declare myself "Supreme Champion of Champions" and declare this thread officially closed, but as I didn't initiate it,it's not up to me !!!

As Dusty politely asked on the "other" L.O.Ws thread, "Where are you all "?

Hey all, hope you are all relaxing this lovely Saturday. Took out a couple of trees in my yard. Trimmed all my butterfly bushes back, trimmed my roses, and generally made a mess until the bin comes next week then it will look beautiful for the winter. The fact that I won't be able to move tomorrow is secondary...... Winning

I’ll take the Sunday afternoon win then.

Now if I can just get rid of Trev and Aura you lot will never beat me as I will always be hours ahead of you!

I'll take a foolishly forgot to set my clocks back and I'm up at 4:30a.m. win!

Kirsty, your all blacks were a bit rough on the USA team yesterday.

But why would you want to get up in the middle of the night? I will never understand life Down Under.

I'll take a I'm at work and will turn my phone off and do something productive win. How's that Carol?

I think you're becoming addicted Dave..............

It's when you're pottering about, looking busy, and you're wondering who's on the forum, then you really have to have a quick peek to see what you're missing.

Trust me,I KNOW !!!

Husband and wife out shopping

Husband: I just have to go off to get something.

An hour later no sign of him so his wife calls his mobile.

Wife: Where are you?

Husband: Well, you remember that jewellers shop where, when we met ten years ago, you saw some beautiful diamond rings and I said when I had enough money I would buy you the largest in the shop?

His wife is suddenly taken aback with emotion.

Husband: Well, I am in the pub next door.

I'm going to be a winner after they stretch my oesophagus and food doesn't get stuck making me splutter and cough and make a scene at work. :) that's next Monday afternoon for me.

Yuck! Okay Kirsty you win! I was feeling pretty crappy until I heard that. I think I'll just dummy up now. I hope that all goes well and that you will be okay - I'll be thinking about you and wishing you well.

Thanks grumps, but keep trying for the win, we all need to have hope eh? My ma is in a moon boot after having her foot straightened. Dad gets his first kornea graft on Monday morning. Oh the joys, :)

Best wishes to you and your family K., And how's Steve by the way ?

Winning, before I take Alfie out to get "emptied" again.(you didn't need to know that did you ?) :lol2:

I'm so sad my crohnies. While I was at work yesterday, our dogs took off on my wife. She said they just lifted there heads and took off like they heard a dog whistle.I don't know, wasn't there at the time. One came home early evening yesterday.Dobby,my little shepherd girl,is still missing. It was in the low 20'sF through the night and so much colder with the windchill.I'm so distraught. My dogs are my kids, they are my world. They have been so good to me this past year with all the CD crap I've been going through. Dobby is my little girl.

I have to get ready for a Remicade infusion and I really don't want to leave with Dobby still missing.Today is not my usual infusion day,the hospital called and asked me if I minded rescheduling it last week.I said sure,so I don't know if it is to last minute to change it again. No one will be there until the time I call my weight in,so I don't know.

I left the garage door open enough so she could fit through last night. No Dobby this morning.I put out water, food and her favorite doggie bed with a sweatshirt(full of my scent) for her.

Sorry to lay this on you guys.Yesterday was our first snow storm of the season, hunting season starts today and my dog is missing in the woods over night with wind chill temps below zero. Not to mention coyotes and 100 other things....

I really want to close my eyes and have everything fade away.No win for me...just despair.

Oh,Dave.....That's got to be the worst thing in the world for us dog people.I've not been in that situation myself, but over the years have helped to many friends look for lost dogs.

I can tell you they all came home eventually, one after 5wks,so try to be positive, not easy,I know.Thinking about you and sending support and good vibes your way.

Wow,15hrs. You sure know how to spoil a game.hahaha.

No "good" news from Dave. He must be ill with worry.

Thinking about you mate.I'm really concerned.

Hi all, sorry for the delay in getting back.Long story somewhat short-a neighbor found her about five miles from home trotting down the road. The weather was terrible and she was lost.Good news is she spent the night in a heated place but it was an awful sleepless night worrying about her.

I just got home from looking for her and was about to cancel my infusion when the neighbor rang the doorbell.I just about cried with relief when I realized she was safe.As tired as I was I had lots of nervous energy and decided to walk. She was so happy to see me it melted my heart. On the way home she put her nose to the ground and we just about ran as she followed my tracks.

I made sure she was settled and jumped in the truck and scooted to the hospital.Luckily it was a slow day and it was o.k. I was a bit late.I got my book out to read after I was all hooked up and promptly fell asleep.:yfaint: I went home after the infusion, let the dogs out, slept for two hours, showered and went to work.I was a zombie at work.

Thanks for the support!!! I'll take an afternoon win, thank you. :thumleft:

Great news Dave, hi grumps. I was a zombie at work too. But yesterday I was in Christchurch and it was a 14 hr day. I caught a bug from the airport or plane still on antibiotics

Brilliant news Dave, you must feel on top of the world !!!

My friends hubby lost her precious G.S.D. yesterday about 8mls from home.

Luckily they found him, with the help of her son and the dog warden.

Will you be well enough for you're op.Kirsty ?

My fingers are crossed Carol. I'm on antibiotics. Seems to be sinus- ear infection. I have a restful weekend planned to prepare for my dad's op and mine too.

Have some fresh ginger tea Kirsty.Tasty and good for our immune system.I hope you and your Dad have a restful weekend so you both can be feeling healthy for your procedures.

My pooches thank you for thinking of them. They are still snoozing away on comfy beds,of course.

Good Afternoon........... sorry it didn't last (not)

It's 2pm here and today's an exception 'cos i'm not well and" baby it's cold outside". I usually only spend an hour or two catching up with e mails and faffing about on the web,and I'm never on after 6pm G.M.T.

( I don't know why I'm making excuses for myself.....:lol2:)

But I DO check the forum often just in case I'm missing something (Saddo !!) And I'm glad I did because I'm WINNING........AGAIN !!!:thumleft:

Carol, it sounds like you've not had an easy time of it lately. You be well too. How's everyone else? I'm a little grumpy lately (still), but not the seven dwarves variety, ha ha.
Well, gotta go get ready for a mammogram. I think men should have to have a yearly manogram.
With that cheerful thought, I'm winning.
