My PCP (appointment today) thinks there is a chance I'm allergic to new blood thinner (eliquis). If hives come back when I go off prednisone in five days, I will have to go on Coumadin. Keeping fingers, toes and eyes crossed.

In the mean time, today I have no hives, the sun is shining, and tho I'm often like ducky, often confused, I'm going to choose to enjoy this day and this win. Hope Grumpy is having a great vacation and gathering a lot of sea shells and memories. I keep thinking about her. Shanen, how are you lately? You're kinda quiet, there, but quiet.
Funny, I keep thinking about the whole lot of you!
With that, I'll steal the win.
 
Hey sandy :). My jab has given me a dead right arm today. I've made a pot of tea and gone back to bed :)
 
I always "shoot" Doug in his stomach. But he got a flu shot in his arm today, at my doctor appointment, lol.
 
I'm a bit scared I'm going to get the measles. The whole family that was with the woman that had measles was in the waiting room, and she was in with my doc before Steve and I. So when we went in we breathed all their air. I had a vaccine as a child, but never had measles. I've never been good at waiting. Hospital said no to me getting the booster, I wish my GI was not overseas at the moment. Same as I wish my IBD nurse was not on leave.
 
Just make sure you don't have anything neurological going on Kirst. Your poor body has been thru enough. And take care of your Steve too.

Saw this after I posted last post. Waiting is hard, isn't it? How long before you know for sure?

I was lucky enough to have had measles, twice, (very rare, one right after the other) as a kid. The second one was very minor.
 
Hang in there. Perhaps this will be one time when you don't get the ill effects. Prayers are with you. (I'm not on Wi-Fi right now so phone is very slow.)

Hopefully your doctor's office has efficient air conditioning which will reduce some of the lingering viruses if any stayed around----------I would be more concerned
If they had coughed in your face or touched you
Viruses have relatively short lives without a host
Of course it is worrying for you and you need your medical team to reassure you and
Waiting for them. must be very trying for you
Hopefully the team will soon be available to you
Meantime have a few sips of your favorite tipple

Wait...this is a trash talking thread,right? I keep forgetting..the other day at the town transfer station,where we bring our trash,I talked to the attendant. There we go,trash talking..I can do it! :medal1:
 
Didn't sleep a wink all night win, mumble grumble, grumble mumble. Me, the one with "excessive daytime sleepiness," who used to sleep anywhere between ten and fifteen hours a day (but I complained about that too.) At least I have my chores started for the day.

A lot of people I know (but not all,friends are tolerant:wink:) would be amazed and shocked at some of the drivel I spout on here.So who's the REAL me ? I know which one I enjoy the most.:banana::banana::banana:
 
Checking in gives me a much needed laugh some days. Coworkers think I'm nuts. They're probably right.
 
Only the chosen ones know what we're about. It's difficult to explain to the common people,a blank expression comes over their faces. Their loss. ( although to be honest I often have the same look)

I developed a bad migraine after posting here last, but slept it off most the day. This is a feeling a lot better win, not complaining so much win. Still have headache some (that is normal), but soooooo much better emotionally, especially.

A rainy day,dogs kept me up all night wanting to go out because who knows what they got into to make them need to go out every f%$#@!* hour and now have to get ready for work win. :ybatty:

I don't need my dogs empathizing with my urgency when I need to use the toilet.

Here for just a quick win. I sent Doug off on a business trip today for the work week, already missing him. I'm off now to sleep off the last of my migraine, but anticipate being bright eyed and bushy tailed tomorrow.
 
Ok mates I've still got a dead arm after Fridays injection of humira in my gut. So do I go to the doc or not go to the doc ? That is the question...

Good Morning all. YES KIRSTY,DOCTORS !!!

Horrible wet and windy day here.Having a lazy one,reading,surfing and yesterdays leftover roast and bubble and squeak for lunch.Of course Alfie still needs to go out regardless of the weather ,sigh !!!

Yes I have.They were small last year.
They have them piled up at the check out and people are buying them just because it's Xmas.I think they're £4. Disgraceful.
I'd rather have a BIG slab of quality chocolate if you're offering ?:ytongue:

I get so very irritated at those who don't keep their germs at home! Now that I cough at times with my lung problems, I make sure those around me know I'm not contagious. I don't tell them why exactly, that's none of their beeswax. Let them wonder.:shifty:

Half way thru the week with Doug gone. Tonight, I get to go to a "tea party."

I work in retail,Shanen,and dread the 'hackers and coughers'.I move away from them as quick as I can.Not to jinx things,but I get Remicade infusions that compromises my immune system and I swear I stay healthier(cold and flu wise,that is)than my co-workers and regular customers.They seem to continually pass the gleep amongst them selves.Whilst(I've wanted to use whilst since the first time I read it in a post from a UK crohnie,I know I'm odd :ybiggrin:)I seem to fend off the gleep.

ramble,ramble,ramble...I don't even drink coffee! M,m,m,m...coffee. Have a good day all!

I 'm back for a quick win.It's 2-30pm here and I'm all done for the day,lunch over,dishes washed,housework done and we've been on the beach with the dog.I'm going to try and catch up with some reading.So you all get on with you work and think of the huge payslip.:dusty:

Busmans holiday ??? :eek2: you couldn't pay me enough.I'm only efficient because I'm basically lazy.I can't relax properly if things need doing.I've said it before on here ,but I'm sure the hospital gave my parents the wrong baby,and I was really born a Lady with servants and everything.I've had and have a happy life,but I really didn't need to have housemaids knee and dishpan hands.:rof::rof::rof:
 
I'm in for a making supper for my turtle dove, we are both off 'till next Tuesday and I think the Remicade infusions might be helping me win!

If I was a saddo I'd put my alarm on and join you all during your wins.
