Hi all, I'm back, so I'm winning! I hope everyone swims back, so we can enjoy our swim at Niagra for this year's Christmas party. Oh yeah, it's going to be frozen then, so I guess we'll have to ice skate. But nevertheless, I'm winning!

I thought I might go to the supermarket, but decided I'm not up to it yet,maybe tomorrow.But I'm up to winning and reading my book.Back later,you lucky people !!!!
 
Enjoy the book Carol, maybe I should start reading books again. I haven't read a novel in ages.
 
Can't live without books,I've always got one and have got at least 20 must reads on standby in the cupboard.If I worked in a library or bookshop I'd get nowt done.But I never read unless I'm all done and dusted,otherwise I can't concentrate.I hope you're feeling better than you were at the week-end K,.
 
I hear you about the done and dusted. Once I start a book I want to read it until the end. Nothing gets done or cooked or anything! I'm just going hour by hour, day by day until my appointment. I feel in limbo until then.
 
This has not been a good couple of days. First Ducky flew the coup, then I found out my nephew Jared, who lives in New Mexico, had his house burn down while he, his wife, and four kids were at church. They are ok, but lost not only their house, but a couple of cats. :(
 
Aw Sandy, thats so sad how awful for them, praise the lord they are safe, but poor cats :cry:
I know i dont know them but please send them my love and best wishes for a speedy re-homing or repairs which ever it my be, my heart goes out to you all, love hugs ,mandy... please keep well n safe you all ..:ghug:

Very well,thanks K., I managed to get to the supermarket today.Les pushed the trolley and lifted the heavies,but he's not really a shopping type of guy.(I'm happy to say)Also did a little bit ironing.Sandy has kept me in the loop with the recent shenanigans.Most upsetting.

My wounds were "stuck" with surgical glue.Does anyone know when It's safe to pick it off ? Bath and shower didn't shift it.Oooo,and I do love a good pick :)

Don't pick, I think if I remember correctly it will mostly dissolve when ready. In this case picking is baddddddd.....

Life just keeps moving along. Crohn's has decided I don't have enough going on at the moment so it's hanging out with me pretty steadily recently. Sure could use a break...

Work is a 4 letter work at the moment...and not a nice 4 letter word. Doing the job of 3 people and cleaning up after too many more. What's life without some challenges??

I know exactly from whence you speak, I'm still in flare only 4 years now, but who's counting. My work is relatively calm at the moment, my trainee from last week is on holidays this week (go figure) and I'm not sure she is making the grade. Thursday will tell the tale on whether or not she will have a job cause I'm nasty. I start entyvio on Thursday at noon and start a week off on Monday am so looking forward to the week of holidays. Please take care of yourself - and perhaps it's time to let someone else clean up and take some of that workload. If they won't willingly take it just give it to them.

I'm back for my win. We sure have had a lot of challenges here and amongst ourselves lately, haven't we? I sure hope everyone feels better, and quickly. I hope that is not why Dave has been gone, medical issues that is. And yes, I agree with all, it is a blessing that my relatives are all well. Things are just things. And (most) of my large family, many brothers and sisters and tons of nephews and nieces are great to have around. (I didn't say that - most - , did I?) The heart situation continues to have some problems, but not nearly as much. It is just that every time I do I don't think I can take another minute, even if the pain is not as severe or as often as before. It is just the accumulation of everything put together. Then yesterday it rained and poured other medical issues. A cipro (and more to come) and a hydrocodone later (neither for heart, thank goodness) and a long sleep (what's new?) later, today is a new day and everything is going up from here. So I win.
 
Hi Mandy, I'm kirsty normal, which means I'm doing ok for me. I had a bad night. But I got thru it. Ready to face another day, by rolling over and having a nap.
 
I was so busy typing my novel, I didn't see yours yet, Kirst. Great attitude! (Every day you wake up is a win)

I gave it to them. They gave it back. Easy to do when they have absolutely no idea how or what is involced. We're at a stalemate now as I've informed them I am swamped and tired of 50-60 hours per week. My kids are grown and I'd like to enjoy a lot of the things I put off while raising them. Yes, entirely selfish. So we'll see. Maybe I'll have more time off than anticipated. :dance:

I'm only nasty when stressed. (And I might sometimes enjoy it, those are my bill collecting days)Let's just say I'm not too popular but as they now leave me alone I can finally concentrate. :ycool:

so true we all need time out for ourselves, we give so much, do so much, suffer so much,we just need some me time here n there, I dont think thats selfish myself.. you all take time out you hear !!
 
Shanen, I'm always nasty (not really) but I like to think so. As I am the only one here I haven't got anyone to put the work onto and finding someone that doesn't scare the bejesus out of me about leaving them in my job so that I can take the time and not come back to a mess and a nightmare in the financials or payroll or the accounting system has been difficult, as I am rather picky (anal I have been told). I can't imagine someone who does payroll, accounts payable, receivables, the financials, the cash, the banking, you know those pesky things being "picky" can you? Just tell them your going home and go works for me. I think I scare them - that and I have this amazing boss - truly amazing

Things are going pretty well for me health wise right now. I am in remission and I get to start tapering off the Budesonide tomorrow!

I just wish Sandy would start feeling better. If it is not one thing its 10 others. I am sure I will again be cooking dinner tonight when I get home from work!

Grumpy...we should work together but that's probably a bad thing as "Control" is mandatory in my world. 😀
